I had to get my 2020 Chevy Equinox serviced recently. The service personnel (Gayle?) was so friendly, helpful and courteous. She did her best to fit me into the maintenance schedule of the day which I so appreciated. The repair was done in a timely manner and they also serviced the vehicle with an oil change. I appreciate the complimentary car wash and I am a big fan of Serra Chevrolet.

The entire customer to Service Department experience was flawless. The Service Advisor Tim Bell did an outstanding job in accurately capturing my concerns and engaging the Service Technician. The Service Advisor also checked to apply my Easy Care Warranty to help offset the charges for the repair. He also kept me kept me informed as to when the car would be ready. I also appreciated Clarence in the shuttle service who provided a ride to my home when I left the car for service and again when he picked me up from my home when my car was ready. The repair was perfectly performed. There were no unpleasant surprises as a result of my customer experience. I have discovered over many years that the fine folk in the Southfield Serra Chevrolet Dealership take their jobs seriously and do all they can to delight the customer. I never have any concerns about leaving my vehicle at the dealership when it comes times to service my vehicle or to have my vehicle repaired as was the case this time around.

I visited Serra Chevrolet September 16 , 2016 with 11am appt. Setup by Katie with Bob Bence salesperson we talked my interest was a midsize suv Trax I was laying out the ground work before bringing my dad in to co sign for me his daughter. So I test drive the car drove to his home in Detroit he approved of the Trax agreed to come in to simply go through financing. We got false info of my income Bob says my dad's income ok that's why he's cosigner his credit / income overrides mine. Bob then comes with I'll need your dad's proof of dad's income go to Chase bank. Then says I have 18,000 a year income not true I gave hime social sercurity proof of my income he doesn't reveal to me or my dad the source only that it came up in the financing dept. What it boils down to Bob wanted 3 ,000 down payment.The point of all this wasted time is that I originally spoke with salesman Kevin from al Serra Chevrolet whom did an appraisal on 2015 Malibu revealing I'm paying to much for my Malibu. I owe more than it's worth . Katie supposedly was to tell Bob exactly that. Katie pulled up the same info al Serra salesman did. Katie still says come on in I agreed to see what my options were.Before bringing my elderly father to Serra Chevrolet only to be told what we already new. Bob still trying to make that sale with equity there not a lot of rebates come back in a year etc. And Katie shouldn't promise what she can't deliver. Were disappointed with the fiasco that was unconscionable. Shame on them when you knew the situation of equity appraisal Malibu 2015 worth 13500. My DAD is GM retired journeyman 35 years and honerable man with pride and to be treated with respect looks are deceiving. Don't judge a book by it's cover I say to Bob Bence and anyone taking advantage knowingly or not stick with the true facts ! Don't ever give false hope to any customers. I had the transmission fluid of the old fluid, replaced with new transmission fluid. I made the appointment 06 July 2016 for 7 am 08 July 2016. Mr. Mike Foster was terrific. He said it would take about 1.5 hours. It was done in less than an hour. The price was excellent also. You have a very good service department at Serra Chevrolet.

Today I visited Serra Chevrolet for a routine oil change. I had been going to a different Chevrolet dearler (wont mention the name) but, that other place won't see me ever again. Visiting Serra Chevrolet was the best experience ever. I was nervous about going but I'm so glad I went. The set-up for receiving customers in for service is fantastic, to start. The staff was punctual, they were all very friendly and professional. They didn't try to rip me off like the other place did. They made plain to me the services that my truck will soon need, in the order of importance and gave me a financial break down of everything (thank you Michael). And at the end of my visit, the cashier, I don't know her name but, she was wonderful. I love this place. Great people, great service.

I work in cooperare america and customer service is 100% the quota I strive for. I just believe it's not valued because of how nonchalant the workers present themselves. I noticed several incidents and lack their off. But, one in particular that stood out to me, just check on me every now and then and keep me updated on the status of my vehicle. Ex: time estimate, and assure me you all are doing the best you can to get it back to me when promised. But, instead they will let hours past and not say anything. As a customer, I shouldn't have to go to the rep that's helping me and ask questions or have concerns. I'm not on the pay roll here. Overall, customer service, quality, and treatment is unacceptable for a business to be efficient. I'm not slandering or defacing their business brand, this is how I feel I was treated and my own opinion. Have a blessed day.

The people at Serra Chevrolet are great. They have always been extremely helpful and professional. I have been extremely disappointed and frustrated with the 2011 Chevy Cruze that I owned. The service history alone speaks volumes and has turned me off from every recommending a GM product to others. I was also disappointed that after purchasing a 72 mo/60,000 mile extended warranty that this information was never indicated in the computer system so that a service person could see that it was there. It was incumbent upon me to remember each time I came in for service. With all the other info kept in the system, why couldn't a customer's extended warranty be there as well to serve as a trigger for an employee to be notified? The final disappointment was discovering more unexpected work needed to be done on the car on 3/18 only to be told that my extended warranty expired a few days earlier resulting in a $600 bill I was responsible for. The confusing thing is that I purchased the car in 3/2011 and I don't see how it expired since it was for 72 mo/60000 miles. I intend to take this up with the dealership and the extended warranty company for clarification. If Chevy wants to really respond to this review, perhaps I can suggest resolving this issue for me to save me the time and aggravation.

We had a trouble light go on (it was caused by a cracked air cleaner outlet duck which Serra replaced). They gave me a loaner car as it was Friday afternoon, they fixed it very prompt, I came back Monday and they were most pleasant in bringing my car to the front. We have not had a problem since. GM and Serra know how to take care of their customers.

I was informed that the vehicle was damaged during the dealer trade and body wok needed to be done prior to the purchase. I was hesitant to purchase however, Dan Schultee assured me that all damages would be taken care of and it would be like new. I picked-up the vehicle on February 6th (Saturday) and was very satisfied. Dan kept his promise and delivered the Equinox clean. There was a small pebble on the driver side front panel upon which Dan assured me that he would It would not make a difference because it was small (the pebble) when I turned the vehicle in. Dan was very concerned about customer sanctification. He is very committed!

Everytime I come to Serra Chevrolet everything is good right down to the coffee. Off the chart service from CJ, Tyler Stanley, Janice, the guys in the oil change dept. , and service. They was even helpful with my wife mini-van she purchased from a Ford dealer (Uplander 2008). Thank you for following up with my new lease! I will definitely respond with all 10's. Brittany and Vince made my experience effortless and I have already given Brittany's name to a teller at one of the banks I do business with and she'll be in tomorrow (Saturday 8/29) to see her! Buying a new car is something we all dread, not just because of the money, but having to deal with a salesperson and the finance guy. No hurry, no hassles, no pressure. Was this really happening? Brittany & Vince both gave expert advice regarding some "extra's" I was considering and saved me money. I can only hope that Serra Chevrolet can retain these two outstanding performers so that I may be see them again as this new lease nears its end. As for the Chevy Trax, I love it. After throwing out names of what it looked like, Sporty & Fun are the two that screamed "Trax". The instrumentation is easy to see; and navigate through. The handling responds amazingly. Viability is outstanding; and parking is a breeze now compared to the 2014 Impala I was driving. I couldn't be happier, and I'm the guy that doesn't like to get new cars and leases. Ha, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to Serra Chevrolet to do business with Brittany and Vince. And hey, I'm serious about retaining them. If they go, this customer will follow because finding a salesperson like Brittany is rare and I'm the lucky one for stopping by the dealership on a fluke. I know I can trust her; and that she has my best interest in mind. No offense, but there are a lot of salespeople that turn you off from the get go. The exact opposite applies to Mrs. Danna. I was working with Mike on my 2003 Chevrolet mailbu and when it was worse than expected as far as what needed to be fixed he got me in touch with Andy. Andy went above and beyond to try and find a vehicle within my budget. Because I live near Det the insurance was in some cases is two and three times as high as the notes we we looking at which was/is very discouraging but Andy even called around to see if he could lessen the blow. I appreciate both of them immensely and it means a lot that they will go through the trouble to try and help me. They both have made this a great experience for me Mike explaining what needed to be repaired in a way I could understand and Andy with helping me find something so that I don't have to rent a car another week:) We Ifound a few that are in my budget with reasonable insurance so I'll be going back this weekend. I usually go to the dealership to get my oil changes and the staff that greet me are always friendly, courteous, and profession. Even the staff members who I past by walking to the customer lounge smile and say hello which makes it feel like a comfortable family atmosphere, especially during the waiting period. I recently received service on my vehicle in which I needed to make an appointment and get a loaner car. I was able to get the loaner car and have my car fixed quicker than the set appointment date which was great! I remember being helped by Pat who did an excellent job at customer service. Even though it was just an issue with the Bluetooth software not displaying in my car, he understood the need and cared about the issue as if it was his own. I appreciate all the hard work of the staff at Serra Chevrolet, it's a great dealership!

The price he quoted me on the phone is the price I got. No wait, I got a BETTER PRICE because his original quote was for 12k miles and I only needed 10k miles. I have been bringing my car here for at least three years and have always been more than satisfied with the service and the personnel. This trip however, they went above and beyond my expectations. While I my way to pick up my car from regularly scheduled service, I realized that I had forgotten to tell them about the broken nozzle on the windshield washer fluid. Thinking that I would have to bring the car back,, I was pleasently surprised when they took care of it within 20 minutes and I was on my way. I could not be happier!

I took my car there for service pursuant to a GM issued recall notice. While there, I asked them to take a look at the engine light which was on. They charged me $100 to diagnose the problem, and $83 to "fix" it. When I picked up my car, guess what? The left turning signal didn't work and 5 minutes later the engine light came back on. The manager Paul told me to bring it back and they'd fix it. (Gee, thanks!) He also said I'd get a loaner while they were fixing it. This didn't happen and i'm sitting in their waiting room right now. No loaner. Additionally, the service rep explained to me that they were doing me a favor because it turns out there were 2 additional codes associated with the engine light and they were going to fix that and the turning signal for "no cost." Bottom line is it took me 2 trips here to get them to do what they said they'd do.

My experience with this dealer was all positive. I wanted a Chevy Tracker...an auto very difficult to find, at a good price and in good shape So I went shopping on line. I found three and compared the, car faxed all three and was having a hard time deciding, however the attention and service I received from Serra Chevrolet was outstanding. A huge, well maintained facility. Loaded with really expensive gorgeous vehicles, I wondered if I was in the right place....had completed quite a bit of necessary preliminary trade of information ahead of time over the phone and computer so basically I was only there to sign all the papers trade titles and get my liscence plate...Kudos to "Andy" a super salesman and made sure everything was perfect before I left.It was, as they say, easy-peasy.

I wish I could live negative review! I brought nice black corvette and asked them to change a head unit, change oil. The job was done fine except one thing: they left several scratches on dashboard and front left side of the car !!! I asked them if there was any resolution of the damage they made. They !SOLD! me their detailing service for another $80 stating that everything would go away. And yes, partially it did, but their scratches ARE there!!! So, they claimed they didn't check the status initially, maybe I did all the damage and trying to blame them. In addition, they suggested going to some body shop. So, the bottom line is they called me a liar and treated like an idiot. Is this a joke??? Is there any place I can file a complaint?

I bought a used car AS IS with bad brakes and didn't know it. They inspected it and they knew it, but sold it to me anyway. Now, I have to pay to get the brakes fixed. I trusted my dealer after buying three cars from him over the years. He took advantage of me. So, I would never recommend them to anyone buying a used car, or new car, because if they could do that to me they could do it to anyone.

I wish I could live negative review!I brought nice black corvette and asked them to change a head unit, change oil.The job was done fine except one thing: they left several scratches on dashboard and front left side of the car !!!I asked them if there was any resolution of the damage they made. They !SOLD! me their detailing service for another $80 stating that everything would go away. And yes, partially it did, but their scratches ARE there!!!So, they claimed they didn't check the status initially, maybe I did all the damage and trying to blame them. In addition, they suggested going to some body shop.So, the bottom line is they called me a liar and treated like an idiot.Is this a joke??? Is there any place I can file a complaint?

I can't remember the name of the service person who helped me, but he sure was knowledgeable. He explained how vehicle diagnostic codes worked, and what wouldn't function when the engine light was on. He also had a great sense of humor, which is a valuable tool. I did not test drive the 2014 Cruze due to the fact that I was very satisfied with my 2012 Cruze and time constraints. This is a first for me with that level of confidence with any vehicle. However, I found this to be a mistake. After getting home I realized that the audible tone feature when in reverse was not a feature included with the 2014 Cruze, of which I believe to be a very valuable safety feature.

Great service on tire rotation, oil change, and PIM update. Quick as I was waiting while the work was done. Would have been 5 stars but I don't like how the techs left my seat. They moved it all the way back, reclined it, and adjusted the seat cushion. That's overkill for pulling it in and out of the garage. I still can't get it adjusted back to the way I had it.

The service was excellent, but I was informed by the rep that the top to my water coolant was missing and I am not aware as to how that could have happened because this dealership is the only ones that check under the hood. Can you tell me where I might be able to purchase another one. Auto Zone doesn't carry them, other than that everything was excellent.

This is the second time that I have leased an auto from Serra. I had such a great experience the first time (2 years ago) that I decided to come back to Serra. Our Sales Rep, Wanda Carter, was wonderful. She made sure I was comfortable with everything and took the time to go over all the new dashboard items in the Malibu. Wanda was also the Sales Rep on my first Malibu in 2012 and that is one of the reasons I wanted her to work on my current lease. She is a keeper.

I do not ever buy from a dealer that does the "manager shuffle" during the sales process. Rob assisted me in checking in my car, advising me of the status, and arranging for shuttle service to and from work. He was very fast and courteous, and the repairs were completed in the same day. Please note that I am not satisfied with the quality of my vehicle. My husband and I have owned six Impalas, and we have never had so many repairs on a three-year old Impala with only 45,000 miles. These repairs include a sensor, thermostat, tie rod, hub and leaking battery. We've had some of the repairs made at other establishments that are more competitively priced. It indicates to me that the newer Impalas do not have the same level of quality that we expect. This 2011 Impala may be our last.

Simply put, this was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Our salesman was courteous and allowed us to go through the entire process at our own pace. This included allowing us to test drive the car alone (a MAJOR pet peeve of mine is when sales reps ride along on test drive as it changes the entire dynamics of the situation).He gave us an extremely good deal for both the new car and my trade-in without haggling (actually better prices for both than I had prepared to negotiate for). I had done a lot of homework before walking into the showroom and was well aware of what fair prices would be.When we told him that we were not sure whether we wanted to lease or buy, he quickly computed both scenarios and we felt no pressure whatsoever from him for either direction (we chose purchase after returning home to run some numbers in our budget). I was impressed that he not only showed us the complete breakdown of both options (rather than the typical sales tactic of just writing a payment on a notepad), but actually let us take those papers home with us.One minor point of criticism that I would mention. The only point of the entire process where I felt like I had to keep my sales "guard" up was while dealing with the finance representative. I had to repeat myself three times that I did not want to include GAP insurance. Although he was nowhere near some of the "hard sell" tactics that I have come across at other dealers, I did feel like limiting his approach to a single counterpoint would have been appreciated. Again, this is a very minor point and does not influence my overall satisfaction with Serra whatsoever.I will definitely plan to buy our next Chevrolet from Serra.

I was confused because the dealership sent me both an email and a letter stating that I needed my tires to be rotated. This appointment was set up for a recall notice I rec'd. At the time I scheduled the appointment, I asked about the tire rotation (from the written notification). On the phone I was told this is typically done at 6K - 7500 miles and that they'd check to see if my car needed the tires rotated when I came in. My car has approximately 9500 miles. When I arrived, I asked the service write-up rep about the tire rotation and was told that since the first tire rotation was missed, to wait until approximately 12K miles to maintain a schedule.(???) This seemed odd to me after going to the waiting room where I overheard a technician selling a tire rotation to another customer. He highly recommended a tire rotation by 7500 miles. When my recall work was completed, I decided to ask again about the tire rotation. The service write-up person (a different person) thought that maybe the rotation was done during the previous oil change (a few months back), so she looked it up. She came back to me letting me know it WAS completed at that time. I'm wondering as a customer why I didn't get something saying that a tire rotation was done when that first oil change was completed? Was it something I had forgotten about (and didn't see anything written indicating it was completed). If that's the case, why send me the letter and email telling me I need this? As for the recall work, it was done in half the time I was told it would take. They definitely worked very quickly on completing the work and that is much appreciated. Additionally, they washed my car, so it made me feel better about having to deal with this recall.

PRO: Wanda Carter was the best. She was very professional and was very helpful.CON: Your website inventory listed a new Equinox LT with a sunroof under 5 miles on it, however, when I inquired, was informed that it had 2,600 miles on it and was being used by a salesperson. I was quite disappointed. My complaint is it should be taken off the website and not offered as a new vehicle OR to not allow your employees to use new vehicles. Still very disappointed as I had hopes to drive away with an Equinox with a sunroof (the only one left on the lot).

My experience was not fun at first. The first car I received did not have any heat, and the air turned on by it's self. But Brad Korn and Jeremy Dixon went to the limit to make things right. Jeremy replaced the first car with a new one, while Brad did everything to make thing right and keep me informed. Both of these guy's should be employees of the year. I was ignored by service write-up personnel. There was no eye contact or acknowedgement I was even there. I had to approach them. I think the service was performed as requested. When my car was washed, water got all over the interior of my car. When I started to get into my car I noticed it immediately and mentioned it to the service write-up employee. While waiting for the service to be completed, I observed what I thought was unprofessionalism. Some of the sales people were huddled together laughing and talking, for extended periods of time. Not very professional, in my opinion.

As a GM employee I would say the sales representative Andy Shayota was really helpful in acquiring my car. If he is like the same to other customers, then Serra got a keeper right there. I was a little disappointed with Serra that I did not get any notification about the recall just two days before the purchase date of my car. I know Andy would have called me but he was on vacation at that time. Even though my car's VIN is off the defect list, it was a little disappointing for my wife because the car was a gift for her.

After purchasing a $27,000 Tahoe I called to state that I noticed that the rear passenger door lock was sticky & that the dashboard had a crack. Both had gone unnoticed during the purchasing process.The sales mngr Ed's solution was without any regard or emphathy for Serra's customer. His reply was that he would make me deal to fix both, parts & labor would total approx $850. Are you serious! For $27,000 i would have offered to pick the vehicle up and drop me a loaner. This in my business is an opportunity to create a life time customer. Thats long term thinking, Not Ed the sales mngr at Serra. Maybe his business is so good that they can get away with this? Very short term thinking and I know that the SERRA auto group did not build their brand like on this model.I even responded on their fb page telling my issue 3x thinking mab the general mngr or anyone may want to follow up or? I never received a reply of any kind, only someone deleting it. Al V.

I passed up a bigger dealership for the fact of how badly I was treated. Serra is where I will tell my friends to go to. Andy was way more helpful and friendly while going through the steps. He even did a walk through of the car before and after the paperwork. You can really tell he loves what he does and care for the buyer and needs.

There is an odor of burnt transmission fluid or coolant which had done during an oil change. I have checked under the hood and on the ground and see no leakage. It has diminished somewhat.

David Samuels, my sales guy was very polite, resourceful and helpful to make my second purchase at Serra Chevrolet a pleasant experience. He explored every possible means to help me get all discounts on each vehicle I looked at. In the end I ended up with a better deal on the Malibu LT. The staff was corteous and explained what needed to be done. SOme of the work was warranty work for engine and I was told it could take about 4-5 days to complete and provided me with a rental SUV (same type of vehicle I drive)for the duration of the service. They beat their estimate by a whole 2 work days, the personnel was in constant contact with me updating me as to the progress and Greg was even kind enough to go into my car to look and locate my missplaced calendar. I was extremely satisfied with the service and professionalism of the staff. Thank you!

Oil change. Initial Rrequest for alignment was declined. Subsequent investigation discovered 3 bent rims requiring replacement. Suggestion to re-visit Manufacturer's specs due to present road conditions. Manufacturers recommendations are based on more ideal road surfaces. Weather conditions are impacting road surfaces differently this year. Suspensions are taking a beating in Wayne/Oakland/Macomb Cos. Probably elsewhere too.

Very clean shop! Very helpful staff! But I find your pricing code deceptive. If an oil change is priced at $12.95, then it should cost $12.95. If it's going to cost $14.95, then it should be listed at $14.95. People don't care what the extra $2 is for. Be upfront and charge what you say it will cost. Otherwise your customer feels duped and that you're not being upfront about your charges. You need to be transparent on rates and charges.

Just got a new Buick. Change Oil warning comes on at 5800 miles or so. The Art Moran Buick Dealer across the street is advertising 8am Saturday Service. So I go there. After waiting 12min inside my car in line, I am told the wait is 2.5 hours! So I drive down the street and directly into Serra's quick service bay for a 42min in-and-out oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. Nicely Done. I will come back again.

Only issue is that when I was left to take the car out for a test drive there was a lot of ice and snow on the windscreen and other windows. There was no brush/scraper and it took quite a while to be able to see enough to drive safely. I was told that your car wash was out of service due to the very cold weather, and that is understandable. That said, it was known in advance when I was coming and that I would be taking a test drive, so the car de-frosters should have been warmed up in advance so the glass was clear of ice and snow. This was not a huge deal - if it was I would certainly have mentioned it in person. However, since you're asking for constructive feedback, I offer this as a sales process improvement. Everything else was just fine - a positive experience and an excellent interest rate on the financing.

Rob helped me and he was great to work with. He was extremely friendly and explained to me clearly what was going on. The only concern I have is that I waited several hours in the waiting room even though the repairs were simple. They spent a lot of time waiting for the insurance (The wheel and tire package) to respond, so I know it was not in your control. I wish I knew that it would have been a 3+ hour wait and I would have made arrangements to leave my car and pick it up at a later time.

There was a problem with my Chevy 2012 Turbo the temperature gauge after warm up of the engine was normal until I turn on the heater .The temperature gauge needle went to the Cold direction. It would fluctuate from the Cold position and then back to the Normal position. It would then return partway to the cold position. After driving for a while the temperature needle will stay in the normal position. The Serra Technician checked everything and found no problem. I will keep an eye on my car temperature gauge to see if there is any drastic changes in its function. Thank you.Harry

I was searching on cars.com for a vehicle and found this site. I saw a certain salesperson and had great reviews and decided to set an appointment up with her. Because she needed to reschedule I came the following day same time and she was with a client and was pushed off to another salesperson which rubbed me the wrong way because she couldnt even tell me that. This sales person was nice let me test drive the vehicle. When it came down to financing my credit union offered less then what the final price would be approximately $1500-$1800. He stated he would talk to his managers about working with me cause I am niceI get a call later he feels I should apply for their which I knew I wouldnt be approved for. he stated at the price my credit union offered would be giving the vehicle away and not worth it (So he did not ask them). Most people who buy cars bargain and he wasnt willing to do that. Feeling more and more discourage and being female I feel like when they say they are being the new guy is like all the rest, had a man came with me I feel I would have been treated different and left with that vehicle.

First time at this dealership...excellent in every way. Salesperson was very helpful, patient, showed me all about the car in detail, gave me a great deal on my old car and worked within my budget to the penny. Also helped secure a lower rate on my car insurance. Great people, especially, James Lee, my salesperson. I would recommend him to anyone. If you go to Serra find Kellie Tomlinson! She is awesome. Kellie made shopping for a new leased vehicle quick and easy. I was not happy with the previous sales person, so I was reluctant to go back to Serra. But, Kellie was great. She was extremely knowledgeable, straightforward and presented me with options within my price plan. I walked away with a better vehicle, more luxury and a lower monthly payment. I would recommend her to a friend!

Had a great car buying experience. Sales person stayed past 9 to get the deal done for us! Car had a scratch that I had asked to be buffed out but didn't get tended too. No biggie as it is cosmetic. Car looks and runs great. I will definitely keep Britney and Serra Chevrolet in mind for future purchases.

My appointment was set up favorably around my schedule. The intake process was quick, and the service consultants were polite and helpful. Although I was coming in to have the prior brake work I had done rechecked...I didn't think the initial brake work was substandard. However, the noise/rubbing sound was still present, which required me to come back in. Whenever a person has to bring their car in, there is some worry or concern. However the Serra staff made the experience a good one. Although the service check didn't show anything wrong with my brakes, I will be very alert to any additional noise or rubbing. The success of any service department visit is if a customer still pays for another service. I decided to purchase a windshield wiper from the parts department which the service team installed with no charge. Yippee! I've also decided to have my oil change done at the Serra dealership next month, and will probably purchase a new air filter too. I've never had my oil changed...nor had my air filter changed at a dealership before. I usually bugged my husband to do this type of maintenance. Since my divorce will be final in a couple of weeks, I'm choosing the Serra guys to become my "new boyfriend" when it comes to taking care of my car. :)

Love the new buildout the lounge is very nice and I like that there is a small play room for young children. Only thing I would like to have seen different is better communication on how the the car would be in service. An approximation would be fine therefore expectations can be maintained for customers.

I came to Serra Chevrolet for the first time after experiencing great dissatisfaction with the incompetence (if not outright dishonesty) of Jefferson Chevrolet. I could not have been more pleased with Serra. Before I even arrived, I was given a near exact price estimate (which was well cheaper than Jefferson was asking) over the phone for the work I needed done. The Parts department held the necessary part for me. The Service advisor (Randy) was quite knowledgeable. The facilities and waiting area were spotless and my vehicle left far cleaner than when it arrived. The customer friendly Saturday hours were also critically important. Going forward, I can't see myself going anywhere but Serra Chevrolet.

53/8/13 - Car is running fine and problem resolved after second trip. Staff is very nice, only reason I gave it a "good" rating for overall experience is because I had to go back a second time. I would recommend this dealership.Dropped my car off on 2/25/13; car was acting sluggish,lack of acceleration below 30mph. I didn't have an appointment because the problem occurred on my way home from work. Randy told me to bring it in, set me up with a rental because he diagnosed it as a warrantied power train problem. Called me on 2/27/13 advising that it was a transmission component that's covered under warranty but also recommended replacing cooling hose at at$250 so I agreed. Called me today, 2/28/13 to let me know it was done so I went there after work, dropped off rental car and picked up my car. Drove less than 1/4 mile and realized that car was still sluggish, no acceleration and now my engine light was on. Called Randy and was told to bring it back in so they can take a look; as of now, they have the car again, I have the rental still and still don't know what the problem is other than possible debris in the "TCM". People there are very friendly, accommodating but my issue is that I drove it 1/4 mile and it was evident that was not resolved and now I have the added concern that the engine light is on as well.I would recommend based on the customer service but I would not based on experience of having my car back less than 15mins and not only was car not fixed but I have the added issue of the check engine light. Told Randy that before they call me to pick it up, I don't care if they drive it to downtown Detroit, just make sure it's fixed.Stay tuned for update.

Overall, very good service. It did take a little longer than planned, but Scott kept my updated and later provided a 10% discount from the $320 bill, which was greatly appreciated. I would certainly recommend this service department to others.

I have been a Serra customer for 3 years. I recently got my 2012 Malibu serviced. While the location is great, the staff is awesome. Their facility is clean, spacious and beautiful. They are friendly, courteous and very professional. My oil change / tire rotation service took less than 30 minutes. Their prices are unbeatable. They topped off all fluids, set my tire pressure and washed my brand new Malibu. Thank you Don and Pat for the great customer service.

I recently visited the new facility for routine maintanance on my Chevy Equinox. Everyone was very friendly and the facility was clean and beautiful. I am always made aware of the maintainance due for my vehicle and the estimated cost. The new location is conveinent to get to, being right off 696 and has nearby shopping and restaurants if you wait. They also offered their shuttle service. I reccomend this facility.

Just purchased a used 2010 Acadia AWD. The vehicle style is great but they had the incorrect mileage on my paperwork, never cleaned the car and said because I bought a used vehicle they only have a 1/2 fuel tank policy. When I complained that the vehicle was dirty, the manager denied it saying he drove it and it wasn't dirty. Also never answering why the mileage was different on my paperwork. The manager didn't even attempt to make any of my issues better, not even offering coupons for future service. Just saying I apologize you feel like you didn't receive good customer service and questioned where the vehicle was dirty because he didn't think it was. I found sticky stuff on the wall and dirt on the seats. It wasn't terribly dirty but when you purchase a vehicle, new or used, it should be cleaned. The vehicle was not cleaned or checked. The rear bucket seat would not move forward or backward like the other rear bucket seat. Wish I could have purchased at their Washington site, when they serived the rear bucket seat, they were aweseome. I had to ask for service at Southfield that should have been offered. Such as a second key FOB. I don't buy vehicles everyday so it didn't occur they would have such an incorrect mileage number on their paperwork. I trusted the dealership and that was a mistake. I was shorted about 200 miles on my warranty.

Don is so great. Everytime I need something he always goes above and beyond to accomidate my needs. I had a flat tire and called Don, he sent a wrecker to help me out. Unfortunately I have a foriegn car and the wrecker service didn't have to lock to remove the tire. I have also had my timing belt repaired at this dealership. When I had to have the repairs done I was worried about cost, but Don kept me informed about the costs.

EVERY individual I dealt with, from sales to service was TOP NOTCH in customer service. I belive that customer service is lacking in todays world but not at Serra. I would HIGHLY reccomend to any car owner to come it to the dealership. I just today (I am sitting in the waiting room) had a service light come on. I called the service dept and they got me right in to look at my car. Don remembered me from when I bought the Sonic and asked for me to personally ask for him so he could personally insure that my car was taken care of. Turns out the code was just for oil change. To anyone reading this... please take my word that anything else other then great feedback about Serra is completely false! I will never go elsewhere for any of my car needs.

I was late for my appointment, but the staff welcomed me in right away,completed the work,made adjustments for additional corrective maintenance that I hadn't noticed, and even stayed late to make sure I was satisfied. All with a smile and great, prompt attention to detail. With the additional corrective maintenance, I prepared myself for sticker shock, BUT the price came in below the original quote! I bought my fist "new" used car from them just two months ago. Three days after purchasing the check engine like came on...they said they couldn't do anything for me. Had me running all over the place to find a dealership that would accept the extended warranty that they sold me. Then a month later the car was burning oil, I took it to a local repair shop, they basically told me I needed a new engine and suggested I go back to the dealership. Went back to the dealership who shipped it off to one of their sister dealerships. So I made my second payment on a car that I can't even drive and the Sales Manager at Serra Chevrolet says there is nothing he can do for me...he can't give me a loaner, he can't help me in anyway what so ever. I understand that I purchased the car AS IS but I would have though spending $13,000 that it would have lasted more than two months. Beware they don't know the meaning of customer service, they do not stand behind the cars that they sell. I will not recommend or ever purchase another vehicle from Serra Chevrolet.

Update 4/13/12 - As of today my car is still not repaired. BUT the good news is that Greg Brown the General Manager/Dealer Operator of Serra Chevrolet has given me a loaner until my car is repaired and will work with me once the warranty company decides what they will or will not cover. This is what I'm talking about! This is customer service! My ordeal is not over, but at least it's going in the right direction, so I've updated the customer service rating from a 1 to a 3. I'll update the again when this over. 4/9/12 - Don't purchase a used car from this dealership...they do not stand behind the cars they are selling. I puchased a 2009 used vehicle as well as an after market warranty from them. Less than 3 days after the purchase the check engine light came on, took it to them and they said their was nothing they could do....really I just spend $13,000 and there's nothing they can do...unbelieveable. My car has been in the one shop or another for the past month...and guess what their wonderful warranty that they sold me most likely won't cover the repair. The sales manager cannot get me a loaner, because it's out of his hands. Well, it's not out of my hands buddy, I'm gonna spread the word, I will never recommend, nor will I ever purchase another vehicle from Serra Chevrolet in Southfield.

This was a new experience for me. Prior to purchasing my car, I was on the bus. I went on cars.com to compare the car I wanted to dealers within 30 miles of me. I visited several dealerships in multiple counties. I emailed them and compared the prices and options. I chose Serra because Kellie was able to give me a great out the door price before steeping foot in the dealership. (I had gotten financing through my credit union). I received the price on Friday and surprised her on Monday ready to purchase. Serra was a clean facility with great customer service. She explained all the options and helped me set up my onstar and sirius radio. Serra is located near Northwestern Hwy and I live near The Pointes so it wasnt my local dealer. Thanks Kellie for making my experience great. I LOVE MY GM CERTIFIED BUICK LUCERNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had been looking on websites for two weeks and had not yet found what I was looking for. I happened to be driving by Serra Chevrolet on Telegraph one evening and decided to stop in. They had just put out on the lot a 94 Berry Red Saturn Ion 2 with 86,000 miles that looked great, inside and out. To my surprise, even the engine compartment looked almost new. The price was just right, on the low end of the Blue Book range, and it met all of my needs. Sales Consultant James Lee assisted me and the cash transaction went smoothly. Now my son is driving my old 94 Ion with 166,000 miles. It's still going strong. The Ion is a great basic transportation car and Serra is a very good dealership to work with.
