Took our truck for a (1hr) wash & vac that turned into a 6hr ordeal and they had to give me a rental so I wouldn't be late for work. Not only was it still dirty but my GPS was stolen from my glove box. This has rocked on for 8 weeks now and they are refusing to make it right.

Drove 35 miles to purchase a new Honda Odyssey in December 2015. Salesperson was friendly, very helpful, explained the features, and worked with us to reach a fair price without a lot of back and forth with the Sales Manager. Overall a very low pressure sales experience. If you're looking for a new Honda, I think it's worth the drive to Serra Honda of Sylacauga.

I have ought my last 3 new cars here. I knew getting a new pilot was gonna take a long time, after 2 previous visits I was ready to sign papers, salesman Andrew was great, gm agreed on a price, and after 5 hrs the gm comes and tells me he screwed up. He told me the payment price we had agreed on was jumped up 60-75 $ more per month. Financing and management were horrible!!!! They have lost my business for life..

We bought a 2014 CRV from Serra Honda in Sylacauga Dec 31st 2013. We were treated fairly well from our sale person in the very beginning, but then we never saw him again anytime we were in there.But we were told I don't know how many times that my arm rest on the drivers side would be replaced because it wouldn't stay down for some reason....But they obviously need to hire somebody else in the parts dept, because they never ordered my arm rest. 3 weeks after it should have came in, I called to see why I hadn't heard from them & this guy checked & he said it was never ordered but couldn't tell me why...Well then our car decided it wouldn't crank several different occasions & we had to be jumped off, which here's something wrong with that picture because you shouldn't be having to be jumped off if your car is less than a year old,We took it to Serra Honda 2 different times & they put us in the waiting room for over an hour both times for them to tell us they never found nothing wrong with the battery. They tell us it may be something in our alternator which was not covered wouldn't you know....We didn't have the extended warranty. Another bad experience we had was when we attempted to order front & rear skid plates for our CRV & Window visors for all our windows....The lady told us they didn't make the skid plates for our model...My husband said I don't know why not its brand new....We got so aggravated at her we told her to forget it...Anytime we were ever in there for oil change, the sales area that you should see salesman everywhere, you would not see none hardly anywhere...Its like a ghost town in there...We decided to trade our CRV in on another brand name vehicle & get completely away from Honda. nobody should be treated that way....Especially on a brand new car....We would never ever recommend this dealership to anybody.

I took my mom's 1997 Honda CRV to this dealership for them to troubleshoot why it was cutting off on my mom so often. I shared with them that my mom was an elderly lady and I was concerned about her getting hit from behind with the vehicle just stopping at different times. I shared with them that the vehicle had cut off on my mom and my brother several times while they were driving in traffic. I asked them if they had any idea as to what might make the vehicle cut off unexpectedly, without notice. They told me that they would check it out. I was told that they test drove the vehicle but it did not cut off with them. During the test drive they noticed that the transmission was changing out a little rough and recommended that it be replaced. They also noted that the speed sensor would need to be replaced but nothing else was said about the original reason for me bringing the car in to them, which was, it was cutting off in traffic. I told them that I was not interested in replacing the transmission at this time due to the age and miles on the vehicle. I agreed to have the speed sensor replaced and brought the vehicle back a second time. I reminded them again that they never resolved the original issue that I initially brought the vehicle in for. I had done some research and asked them if the ignition switch could possibly be the cause of the car stopping and they said that it could possibly be the switch. I asked them if they had the capability of testing or checking the switch and they said "yes". I told them that I would like for them to check the switch. Now this makes the second time that I've driven over an hour and a half to bring this vehicle to them to troubleshoot this issue. Believe it or not they replaced the speed sensor but did not check the ignition switch for a second time. I was asked to bring the vehicle back, a third time, for further diagnosis. I couldn't believe it. They didn't do anything the first two times now they want me to bring it back a third time for possibly the same results. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. To add insult to injury, I was contacted by someone from the dealership asking about my overall experience during my visit and I shared with them what I have written. I was assured that I would be contacted by someone to discuss this further but I haven't heard from anyone. I'm not surprised that no one has contacted me back because I let them know that I was very unhappy with the level of service I received. I will not forget this ordeal anytime soon. Hope anyone reading this has better results.

I had previously bought from Serra Honda Sylacauga and had really enjoyed my car buying experience. I was interested in trading in my current vehicle and wanted to do business with them again. Came in , filled out credit application and they appraised my vehicle. Had to leave because of time , but the salesperson called me back later to say we were approved and that what I had discussed (monthly payment limit , etc) could be worked out . We then made the 30 min trip to the dealership the next day and the salesperson who I had met with the day before referred us over to another sales rep who was extremely rude and kept addressing me and not my spouse as if they werent there. He then did yet another appraisal on my vehicle and I asked him to be sure that everything that was discussed the day before was still what we were looking to do and he said yes. In the end, everything that had been told to me the day before was not being honored and we were being pushed into a car payment that was 0ver $300 more than what I had said we could do. He even said if he could match that payment with another vehicle , would we still consider buying from them and we said yes, only to have come back moments with an ultimatum of either paying a car payment $300 more than what we could do or stick with our current vehicle. We left, feeling hurt and mistreated. Terrible experience , I really thought Serra Honda was better than this.

I was there to buy a car and the Manager named Bob Benson was so rude. We were told are credit was no problem and when we got to the store we were told are CREDIT SUCKED. We heard this manager tell the salesperson to get the F------ customers out of the dealership because thet cannot buy S--t. We have bought several cars and never been treated like this. The manager cussed in the showroom for 2 hours on and off. We bought a car somewhere else.

Found a car on cars.com for $10,995 on 5/10. Got to the dealer on 5/11 after driving 1.5 hours and taking off of work only to find that the car was 15-16k. Now it is 5/14 and the car is still listed at the same price. Found another car that I liked, test drove it, called back to see the status an hour later only to find that someone else "might or might not be in the process of buying it." I was told I'd receive a call to know if it was sold or not. Did not receive any calls at all since then. I would not waste my time driving to this dealership again. Time is money, money is time. Both money and time were wasted all day on this dealership.

The price was reasonable and they furnished a check list of the entire service. My wife was recently in an auto collision resulting in a total loss to her vehicle. Once we began the search and research on her replacement vehicle the choice was narrowed down between a corolla and a civic. After leaving the toyota dealership impressed with the car, yet somewhat leary of the salesperson we headed down do Serra Honda of Sylacauga. Our salesperson, John Bearden is a very outgoing, honost and sincere person. He was extremely helpful and we felt that we could trust him (a quality not often found in salespersons). Thanks John for selling us a great new vehicle. The service department was very helpful and informative as well. Suzy Williams, Parts Manager, took the time to explain how to operate some of the vehicles newer options as well as explaining the basics of the maintenance needs and other facts about the vehicle. David Sewell was great. David Hutto and the General Manager, Lynn ??, have not been however. David Hutto was supposed to call me on several occasions and never does. Lynn also has not returned my phone calls. I went to the dealership face-to-face to be able to talk to them. At this moment I am awaiting a phone call from Lynn but I am not holding my breath. David Hutto was going to come to my house to program my home link system to work my garage doors on Wednesday (8/18/11). He said he would have to wait for someone else to get there and then he would head that way. He also said he would call before he left. It is Friday and I have not heard a word or seen anyone. I called Lynn on Thursday and left a message about my frustrations, but he has yet to call either. My husband and I own a pharmacy in Sylacauga so we come in contact with a lot of people. I will tell every one of them that will listen not to go to Serra Honda. We pride ourselves on the customer service we provide and only expect the same from other businesses. This will be my first and last purchase at Serra Honda.

Arrived shortly after dealership opened. Once inside the left set of doors,there were several men by the right doors/offices standing around conversing and looking at me. I had been waiting just a few minutes and in walks Mr. Smith through the right set of doors. He walks directly towards me with a huge smile and greets me like he was having the day of his life. Just his smile made me smile. I advised him that I had come to test drive a car that my husband liked, in knowing this Mr. Smith still made every effort to show me the car. His enthusiasm never faded as we drove the car around. I NEVER felt pressured to buy the vehicle. He never seemed to be in a hurry. I was treated like the only customer on the lot. (In past times some salesmen constantly shop the lot for other customers if I wasn't interested in buying, while talking AT ME.) He started under the hood and then the tires and then moved inside showing me every accessory in the vehicle. The overall reason that I bought that day was due to his honesty and respect that he gave me. He never showed frustration through the barging phase. He never lost his smile. I did not feel like he was trying to pull one over on me even though I was by myself. He treated me like he had known me for years in conversation and actions. I recommend HIM as a salesman especially if considering any car from any dealership. In all the cars that I have bought over the years this has to be one of the smoothest purchases from start to finish. Serra is where I purchased my last car and used their service department. I have never had a problem with them. The people in the service department are extremely knowledgeable and always happy to help. I overall feel like I was treated very fair in THIS purchase.I do recommend a little bit of upgrade in paint,props,etc.. I wouldn't necessarily go way out, but at least put some of the profits back into the business. Sometimes a little change in scenery is eye catching.

Overall our experience was favorable. AT 1st I was not sure they were really interested in selling me a car. It was raining that day, but I was there looking for a vehicle. Eventually things went along fairly smoothly. Our sales person was friendly, but relatively new at her job. She was not real familar with the vehicle I was looking at. She did her best I think, but being the only woman sales person on the lot, she did not receive much help from her male counterparts. Dealing over the price, etc., went smoothly and in the end I was satisfied. Finally, if you are going to sell cars on Sat., then you need to have your service dept. open on Sat.... Serra Honda one of the only places I know that doesn't. Serra Toyota does.P.S. The customer waiting area was a disaster. Coffe pot,but no coffee,no cups,no creamer or sugar, etc. - no one really cared. The bathrooms were dirty and had no paper towels and verly little toilet paper.

Marcus was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different models and was able to guide us in our decision to choose a model that fit our particular needs. Marcus was also very quick at locating a vehicle for us when the model and trim line we wanted was not in stock (2011 Odyssey EXL). Our experience with Serra Honda when compared with our experience with Tameron Honda in Hoover was exceptional. What Serra Honda in Sylacauga may lack in appearance of the dealership, it more than makes up for in customer service. David Hutto was our salesman, and we could not have asked for a more positive experience. He wasted no time contacting us after an internet inquiry we placed, but he was not the typical "pushy" car salesman. He listened to us when we explained our situation and what we hoped to accomplish in visiting the dealership. It would still be so nice to just be able to go in to any car dealership, tell them what you want and what you can afford and then just be told "yes we can do that" or "no, sorry, we can't do that" without all the back and forth and burning daylight. If only a car could be purchased in less than 4 hours!! Any criticism of Serra Honda in Sylacauga would be centered on the overall appearance and atmosphere of the dealership itself. The salesmen hanging out by the doors smoking like chimneys was definitely not appropriate. Maybe the ability to offer great deals is directly related to lack of investment on the owner's part in the overall aesthetics of the dealership. We have not utilized the service department as yet, but we are looking forward to taking advantage of the free oil changes that were an incentive for our purchase. We have already recommended Serra Honda of Sylacauga to our friends who are looking into a new vehicle and will continue to do so. We are absolutely LOVING our new Honda!!

I went to this particular Honda because of a radio and newspaper advertisement I had heard and seen. I was greeted before I got out of my car by Rachel and she was sooo friendly I was almost thinking oh no what have I gotten myself into but she was WONDERFUL! She worked so hard to get a deal for me. I initially wanted a used car but ended up buying a new one due to her. I LOVE my new CR-V! The finance guy (can't remember his name) was WONDERFUL also. He worked to get my interest rate low and my payments reasonable. He needs some help though because the dealership is so busy he is having to work long hours without stopping in order to keep the customers happy. The only complaints I have is that I had to wait for my car to be detailed and they knew I was coming back on Monday to pick it up since I had a loaner car for the weekend because the car I initially bought had already been sold. They should have had the car ready. Also I feel their advertisement was misleading however I'm used to that with car dealerships. But overall everything else was great. Very friendly salespeople, even the ones not working with me.

I came into the dealership to just look at the new Honda Accord Crosstours. I was very satisfied with my SUV so I didn't have to have a new car. Jason approached me with a smile on his face and a friendly attitude. I told him that I loved the room that my SUV provided me since I tote so much stuff. He showed me all the storage compartments that the Crosstour had. I was very impressed. He grabbed the keys and took me on a test drive. Man, was I in love. The dealership was able to get my payments down to around the same price as my SUV. Needless to say, I drove off the lot in a new Crosstour. Jason was extremely helpful. He was not one of those creepy car dealers that tell you what you want to hear just to sale a car. I highly suggest seeing Jason as soon as you need a new car.

My sales consultant, Marty was great! So helpful, not pushy. Listened and gave honest answers and recommendations when asked. Very professional and personable. Finance manager was great as well! (Sorry, I lost his business card). Needs updated lighting in his office! My idea, not his. His eyes were very tired and it wasn't until the end of the day that he realized that his temporary lighting was shining right in his eyes! Spend a couple of hundred dollars to update the offices so these people can do a better job (if possible) of taking care of the customers. I did have a pretty long wait for the paperwork, but what the heck, they were selling left and right! Can't have it all, right? Overall, A+++++ for these two gentleman! I'll be glad to do a commercial of the chunky, middle aged lady who finally got the car she wanted!Respectfully,Linda Bingham

Everyone was very friendly and respectful. They worked with us and made sure we didn't leave until we were happy. They even allowed us to bring the car back the next day for detailing due to the rain. They filled the car up with gas before we left. I'm also very pleased with the payments. I feel so terrible, because I can't remember the financial employee's name. I'm typing after business hours. He got our interest rate down to 4.6 which dropped our monthly payment down $100.00!! We had already signed the contract for the higher payment. He didn't have to work so hard, because they already sold us the car. The next day he worked with the finance company to drop our payment. We went back to sign a new contract. He is a wonderful employee and deserves a huge bonus. Mr. Hamlet was also wonderful. He was very helpful and made sure we were happy with the car. I would only hope you show awesome employees that they are important to your business. Because of them, I will recommend this dealership to friends and family. If they are comenstated for this, please ask Mr. Hamlet who the other employee is as well. Thank you for the wonderful service!

i told steve what type of vehicle i wanted, what features and colors i wanted and didnt want, based on that , he picked 2 vehicles for us to test drive. he was very patient in explaining all the features of the vehicle , when services would need to be done, he went over the owners manual with us, he even took the time to preset the radio stations for us. he showed where the service department was, introduced us to the service manager and parts manager, had detail clean the vehicle for us, overall it was a great experience. i would recommend steve and this dealership to anyone

The General Manager is a con man. This store is nothing more than a used car lot posing as a Honda Store. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable Honda store even if you have to drive a bit further.The dealership is dirty and unorganized. The sales people have no knowledge of the product.
