I couldn't be happier with our whole experience. We found the perfect car at Sewell Mini, but live out of state. They took care of everything for us, down to picking us up at the airport. Easiest experience I have ever had buying a car. Loved working with them!

I was really impressed at first. They had just gotten a used mini in that I wanted and they told me that they had to clean it up and service it but they were holding it for me. A few days later when I checked in with my sales guy, they had sold it. I bought my car elsewhere because of that. A simple call would have been nice, or even just an apology or explanation.

The experience started out great and I was impressed. However, they had just gotten a used Mini in their inventory but they told me that they had to clean it up and service it and would contact me as soon as it was ready. Since I had not heard from them, I contacted them a few days later only to find out that they had sold it. A simple apology or explanation would have been nice.

I usually don't bother with these types of reviews but as I continue to see Sewell tout its amazing customer service and attention to detail, I have become that much more irritated. Many years ago, my now wife was in the market for a new Lexus and contacted Sewell after hearing about everything they claim to do to make a "Customer for Life". Without going into a ton of detail, Sewell tried to overcharge her and lock her into an unfavorable time table for the same vehicle offered by multiple dealers. She ended up getting the vehicle from Park Place and over the years has leased an additional two Lexus vehicles from Park Place. That bit of a back story brings us to our current date. This year, I was diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy. I owned a 2014 high end Chevrolet Silverado but with the high price of chemotherapy and medical bills, I was in the market to downsize and find something more fuel efficient. I have always liked the look of the MINI Countryman and even though my wife had a negative experience with Sewell, I decided to give them a shot a few months ago. I went to the MINI dealership in Plano for a test drive and to let the Pre-Owned sales people know I was in the market for a vehicle. I really enjoyed driving the vehicle and was ready to buy. The salesman I was dealing with introduced me to the general manager and they both promised me that they would find me the vehicle I was looking for in short order. After a couple of weeks of no contact from the salesman, I contacted him to see if he had made any progress in finding a vehicle. He told me he was sorry for not contacting me sooner and that he had not found anything to that point. He told me he would keep looking and that I should hear from him soon. To this day, I have never heard a word from Sewell MINI of Plano. Being a salesman myself, I knew that with the lack of communication and follow up, Sewell had no interest in making me a "Customer for Life". I'm sure if I wanted to purchase a new, luxury vehicle they would have fallen all over themselves to make something happen but not for a guy looking to downsize and save a little money. I did find a 2014 Countryman at another dealership in the Dallas area and am very pleased with my purchase. Its sad to see so many big companies these days tout their amazing customer service and do absolutely nothing to back it up. Moving forward, Sewell will not be in my list of companies to do business with and I will make sure to let my friends and family know that Sewell is a lot of talk without much to back it up.

Hands down, kind and caring people... they went out of the way to keep us happy even though it was not to their advantage. Fixed my leak without the usual run around I've had at another Mini service center. They didn't try to sell me on parts or services that weren't needed and seemed genuinely concerned that my car was having the malfunction that it was. The level of customer appreciation and care is beyond compare! I am a Sewell customer for life because of how well they take care of their customers after the car is bought!

I have been using this service center since the dealership opened and all of my experiences have been great but my last visit on 08\19 was by far the best. They took the time to listen and really understand the issues concerning my 2010 Mini and fixed the leak. They did all this without trying to sell me an unneeded service and I want in shock over the price. I am a Sewell customer for life because of my dealings with the service at Sewell Mini of Plano!

Imagine being told you are a co signer only to be placed as line 1 buyer!Stay away from this dealership - certified cars with pings , dents and scratches.After being spoke down to the dealership took care of all the damage.My favorite moment - besides being held prisoner for the WORST car buying experience ever wasWhen they fixed the ping and scratch salesman Lenny delivered our car- When I pointed out the new dent in the bumper which they had done he copped an attitude then Did a very long burnout in one of their certified cars! Wow !! I had to go to his boss who took care of the issue however when he called me and left a message I returned his call and asked for the wrong manager - I was told very rudely "I didn't call you" -This is a manager - no wonder Lenny does burn outs in vehicles they are selling.Leadership and professionalism start at the top - there isn't any!8

We arrived at 5:30 dealership was scheduled to close at 6. The sale person, his manger and the finance guy stayed until 8:30 to take of us. They matched the price of the best deal of similar vehicle we found at 2 other dealerships. They followed up in a timely manner, went over the car with us, and have stayed in-touch after the sale. I was searching for a particular car and Paul Harding reached out to me. He worked with me and my crazy schedule. He was very helpful and I am very glad that I made the purchase from him. I truly wish he worked at a Acura dealership because I would buy from him in the future. The Sewell Team was great overall and if any of my friends look to buy a Mini or any used car on their lot I would Highly Recommend them!

I received a call from Mr. Fred Price from Sewell MINI in regard to their ad for a chocolate MINI Cooper S convertible they had listed on Cars.com. Unfortunately (for me) the chocolate MINI Cooper S had been sold, and they were only waiting for the financing to be approved before removing the listing from Cars.com. I had a lengthy discussion with Mr. Price about all aspects of buying a MINI from a dealer in Texas when I live in Michigan; including different ways of transporting the car to Michigan. There is a MINI Cooper dealer about 25 miles away from me in Southfield, Michigan whom I would probably be dealing with, certainly for the maintenance and any repairs, as well as probably purchasing. I did find that MINI has a presence in Ohio and that executive driven vehicles are often available at a substantial savings. Mr. Price invited me down to Texas to meet him and look over the dealership, but I couldn't talk him into footing the bill for the flight. However, he did say that he would get me horseback riding lessons (I had asked about learning to ride). A very pleasant experience considering the MINI I wanted had gotten away! I realize these were only words (from a salesman) however he certainly sounded sincere and a very likeable person. I would certainly deal with Mr. Price for purchasing a car were he a tad closer than 1,174.2 miles away. :)

I had made an appointment with Paul Hardey to see a car. We met, and he was very helpful through the process, but was working with 2 other buyers at the same time. After I had bought the car and was ready to leave (at the end of the day) after hours, Lenny Poulsen stepped in and provide exceptional customer service, showing me all the particulars of the nav system, etc. My initial sales person, Paul was good, but Lenny was such a nice guy and went out of his way to help me out. He was on his way out the door when this all transpired, so it was especially nice of him to jump in, when someone else was obviously going to get the commission. This is the 4th car that I've either bought or leased from one of the Sewell dealerships, so I have a very positive view of them anyway, but Lenny went the extra mile!!!

Was half-heartedly searching the web for a used MINI Cooper S to replace the one I had that was recently totaled by an uninsured idiot when I found one that was fairly priced & appeared to meet my specs at Sewell MINI of Plano. I was a bit apprehensive to buy a car 1,700+ miles away from a posting on an internet website but, after a short phone discussion with Bart Shapley I felt confident this was the right place for me to buy & the used MINI I was interested in was in more than acceptable condition. Speaking from a background of over 25 years in the automotive parts business & most of that as a department manager in a new car dealership, I can say that this was the most pleasant transaction & professional operation I have ever encountered. Bart met us upon our arrival, gave us a tour of the exceptionally nice dealership, I test drove the car, met with David Ginsberg, Finance Manager, for a short friendly paper signing session, & we were on our way in less than 2 hours. Highly recommend Sewell MINI of Plano.

Sewell Mini of Plano is a rare dealer these days, but it shouldn't be. They base their dealership on customer service, respect for the buyer, and trust. I couldn't have been more satisfied with my purchasing experience with Lenny and Bart I called in advance to confirm the (used) car I was looking for was still available. When I arrived, I was approached by two of the staff, while I spotted the car out front and started looking at it. The first ran to get Bart, who I'd met over the phone. A few minutes later another sales staff member (Lenny) approached and asked if I'd been helped. I said I was waiting and he said "well let me get the key so I can open it up for you." A minute later he opened up the car, and I started taking a look around inside. I felt like I was being waited on, but not pressured. It turned out Bart was occupied with another customer so Lenny stayed with me. I ended up not buying that car, but there was another car I was interested in at another Sewell dealership. I called Lenny, and he ran down to the sister dealer, got the car, and brought it up. Not only did that make the trip shorter for me, but I was able to continue working with the same salesperson I'd started building rapport with. I also had some questions about the car - why the carfax showed a second owner for only 2 months and then returned to the same dealer (Sewell) that it was purchased from. He researched that for me and answered all my questions - I was very satisfied. Everyone else in the dealership, from the other staff who engaged me in conversation, the Sales Manager Mark, and the FNI Manager Jennifer were all extremely professional and great to do business with. Lenny mentioned many times that Sewell wants to build customers for life and I'd always felt that was kind of a silly notion these days. But after how I was treated last week when I purchased I they've won me over to that way of thinking.

Attempting to purchase a used vehicle. Our salseman Fred did an excellent job, however dealing with their sales manager was a different story. The dealer takes the attitude of we are the only game in town - like it or lump it. Our prices are fixed an there is no negotation. They want to give you squat for your car while theirs are marked up by several $1,000.00 dollars. That's the way they do business. Go somewhere eles!

A never ending nightmare. I have nothing good to say about my experience at Sewell Mini of Plano except the salesman were moderately friendly. But friendly does not mean professional. We found the car we wanted to buy, and the salesman would get up and disappear for 30 mins, and leave us just sitting at his desk. We asked about the price of the car, and he didn't have an answer. We sat there that sat for 4 hours, until they closed,and didn't get one straight answer, having to wait till the following Monday to discuss more. However we got passed from salesman to salesman, all of which had different answers to our questions. There was no communication between them obviously. Very very frustrating. Weeks pass, hours and hours on the phone, being passed around, and it was impossible to get a call back from any of the 3 salesman, then we are told the car was gone!! GONE?? First we were told it was sold at an auction. Then I was told it was sent to another dealership. Then we were told it was still there, just moved off the lot. Which one is it??? The car WAS there after all...finally we finalized the paperwork, and drove the car home. But since then, my husband and I get repeated text messages from one of the salesmen asking for different documents. Its borderline harassment. Why wasn't this addressed before? When is it going to end? Why wouldn't they contact us back when we called them? Honestly I can keep going on how unprofessional everyone was and what a nightmare this experience has been.I wouldn't recommend anyone buy there.

I was shocked at my experience dealing with Sewell. I've always heard great things about their dealerships. They were extreamly backwards with the paperwork and they are still contacting us trying to get paperwork after the sale was completed 3 weeks ago. They would never talk pricing and seemed to have no process in place. It was like they've never sold a car before. At one point they even transfered the car off the lot while we were trying to purchase the vehicle. I would never recommend them and will never do business with them again. Their communication is poor and their follow up in awful unless they need something from you.

I bought my car in Dec 2011 and was extremely happy with my salesperson, Bud Pratt. He is very polite and my experience dealing with them had been wonderful. They did not pressure me and the price was very reasonable. The dealership looks clean and they even wash the car knowing that I would come to test drive the car. As part of the deal they gave me 4 free oil change and tire rotation which comes with a loaner car if I do not want to wait. I have used 1 and will use another one pretty soon.

I can honestly say I never expected to be so impressed with a car dealership. I abhor the entire car buying process. However, Sewell MINI of Plano has earned our business for life. We purchased a used MINI Cooper S. As Jarrod Crawford, our amazing sale rep stated, it is easy to have a happy customer when everything goes smoothly - a happy customer when things don't go smoothly really makes a statement. We had a few minor (but very difficult to identify) maintenance issues soon after we bought the car. Sewell went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable with our purchase and that the vehicle was repaired to OUR standards - regardless of how long it took. This is particularly impressive given that we bought a used car, so they did not make a ton of money on the sale. But, they will - we will purchase every vehicle from a Sewell dealership going forward. I think we would be hard pressed to find this kind of customer service anywhere else.

We went to this dealership to look at a used GX470 and we really experienced the Sewell difference. (1) They had a CarFax (2) They tried to help us find the car we were looking for and (3) showed us other vehicles we were considering like an Acura MDX Technology. When my wife through me for a quick turn, and wanted to see a newer RX350 at another Sewell dealership in town our sales person, Lenny Poulson, was very helpful and lined us up with another person at the Sewell Cadillac Grapevine location. Lenny also matched us up with someone at their Dallas location when my wife wanted to see a Red GX470 that they had at their location. That was different from the car that they had at the Plano location. In the end Lenny was very helpful the ENTIRE time and tried to get us into the car my wife wanted. We ended up picking up a 2010 RX350 (nearly two years old) with only 4200 miles at a great price (nearly 20% off the sticker price 2 years prior). Sewell's used Luxury inventory can't be matched by others in the DFW area and everyone we dealt with at each dealership was very helpful and professional. I'd highly recommend this dealership to folks in the North Dallas area and Lenny Poulsen in particular as he tried to help us throughout the entire process. Dan Ross

They will smile happily in your face and rip you off under your hood. They set me up to believe I need over $1200 worth of repairs. Thank god I went for a second opinion which in fact was a set up for someone to profit from. They basically pinched my oil ring to make believe there was a problem when there was not! Never will I ever get anything done there again. Stick to your trustworthy mechanics back home. They're in it for their personal profit however it is that they do that.

Very kind managers and employees at Mini Cooper. Fixed the problem quickly and made quick and easy efforts to contact me and help solve things. Initially I thought the diagnoses was false on their part when it was not, except for one thing that they immediately attempted to resolve. They were helpful and respectful the entire time and especially extra courteous with my cool convertible rental ;-) I am very happy with the way they handled the situation.

I recently stopped by this dealership to check out the new mini and was very impressed with the young man who helped me. He seemed to know quite a bit about the car and he didn't try to pressure me in any way. Even though I told him I wasn't going to buy one just yet he spent 30 minutes answering my questions and gave me some really good reasons why I should buy one. I could see he was busy but he still made me feel like I was his most important customer. I live in Houston and planned to buy my car there but when I am ready, I plan to go back to Dallas. Although the salesmen here know things about the car, this young man knew things I didn't even think about asking. Clearly, this dealership trains it's people well.

Salesman and sales manager were very professional. We just could not come to terms on the right price for my trade, so a no good for me. I will have to sell my current BMW myself for more money. I wasn't willing to give them an my awesome used car. They were not as interested in it due to is a 2002 with 75K miles on it.

When choosing who to do business with, we should choose businesses who hire people of good character. I strongly believe in the character of those employed at Sewell of Plano. My vehicle stalled and died on my way to work and people were driving by for over ten minutes. Finally one gentleman stopped and attempted to jump my car. The jump would not take and the battery cables started smoking. That man had to get to work and there was nothing he could do for me, so he left. I don't know anyone at all in or near the area I broke down, so had nobody to call for help. As a single mom working in a daycare center where our hours have been drastically cut, I don't have money for AAA or anything. I was stranded in the middle lane just past an intersection with noplace to push the car off the roadway if I could have managed this by myself. The first gentleman had been gone about five to ten minutes and people just kept on driving by. I was still unable to find anyone to come help me and was in tears. Along came Chad from Sewell of Plano asking if I needed help. Boy, did I!! Shortly after he stopped, along came two other people from Sewell of Plano...Jon and Clint. These three were sent from God. They spent a good 45 minutes of their morning helping me. They pushed my car into the turn lane, tried to jump the car with a jump box...only to achieve sparks, Chad went back to the shop and brought a truck and tow strap and these guys pulled my car into a parking lot to get it off the street and then gave me a ride to work. Saying "thank you" seemed so insufficient for all they did to help me that morning. I am so grateful for their help and willingness to stop and help in such a huge way and ask nothing in return...even in the heat we have been experiencing. They are truly good people with amazing heart and character. Take your business to Sewell of Plano...they have earned it!!
