I can't recommend Andy Rhoades as a salesman and Sexton Ford enough. I just bought my second car from Andy at Sexton. Andy is incredibly friendly, honest, and accommodating. He went above and beyond for me both times I bought a car. Anywhere from filling up my gas tanks in my new car, getting my car in ASAP to be detailed or worked on, loaning me his car when mine was getting worked on, staying late to meet with me after work and answering all my questions. I will continue to buy all my cars from Andy. I highly recommend Andy and Sexton Ford if you are looking to buy a car.

I stopped in to co-sign for a friend. Deal was negotiated and done. During the final moments, another interested buyer came out of no where!? Mmm interesting, okay... after which they rescinded the deal. I understand business and how nothing is final until its final but something was definitely fishy so we took off. BUYERS BEWARE-THEY DON'T KEEP THEIR WORD. NO HONOR. Thanks for providing us with the Sexton Ford experience.

I cannot say enough good things about Sexton Ford. The atmosphere at Sexton Ford is very friendly and genuine. Because I had to wait for my house to close, 8 days after I first visited them, they accommodated me regarding the vehicle I wanted. They offered me a very fair price for my trade in and I knew it was fair. The salesman, Shane Willard was exceptionally helpful in walking me through the process and eagerly answered my questions. I've purchased several vehicles in my lifetime but I feel dealing with Sexton Ford, and especially Shane Willard, you're dealing with family. I find myself wondering why have gone elsewhere in the past, although I've purchased 5 vehicles from Sexton in the last 40 years. From the salesman to the sales manager, I would rate them a 10 star if it were allowed. Thank you Sexton Ford for making a good into a great day!!!

Contacted Sexton through the website listing and had a good experience and quick replies to emails. We went in on Friday afternoon and test drove a van. Salesman said he would get me a price. I emailed back on Tuesday to ask some questions and go no reply, called on Wednesday and the van was sold. Was disappointed that the salesman did not contact me at all.

As usual I received excellent service at Sexton. I dropped my car off early in the morning and there was a driver waiting who took me right to work. They called me when my car was ready and at my convenience the driver returned to pick me up and take me back. My car was waiting and the payment process was quick and easy. The cost was reasonable. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. That's what keeps me coming back.

Came to Sexton to buy a car and while the paperwork was being drawn up the sales manager says the car has been sold. The go ahead to purchase the car by me was given earlier that day. I never even received a call to try to make things better on another car I was looking at. Terrible way to do business and lose a customer!

My car was being serviced at Sexton for what I thought was a steering issue but after the mechanics reviewed the issue they thought it was a battery issue. This was changed and I purchased the new battery and drove off. A few minutes later I had the same issue return so they reviewed the situation and deemed it was steering and fixed the issue. They did credit me for the battery which was not the original issue which I thought was great. Thanks to Ray, Joey, and Robert for your honesty and integrity in dealing with my Explorer.

Worst manager I've ever delt with and salesman was absolutely helpless....I would never send family or friends to sexton ford ......in my opinion the whole place needs to b cleaned out and have new salesmen and a new manager 4 sure ......never buy a used vehicle from here the manager is not people friendly and doesn't want to make things right ......i may not have bought 150000$$$ combine but it shouldn't matter if I spent that or 1000 $$I should have been treated the same and that was not the case ......worst ford dealership ever

I came into Sexton looking to purchase a used F150. I met one salesman on Friday on my initial visit who I was impressed with. I returned on Saturday to continue my truck buying venture, the gentleman I had met on Friday was serving another customer and he referred me to Samuel Peters. Sam took me on the test drive and we had a nice conversation on prior experiences buying vehicles, some good and some bad. I would definitely say this experience today would fall into the good experience category. We were a little ways apart at first on agreeing to a sale price, but in the end I believe I got a great truck at a fair price and dealing with Sam and his manager Rex made the experience enjoyable. Came to Sexton Ford not knowing exactly what we were looking for. Our salesman Sam Peters greeted us at the door and was very personable and relaxed, not like your stereotypical car salesman. Sam took into consideration ALL of our needs and wants from gas mileage to monthly payments and showed us a huge variety of vehicles. After driving a number of beautiful new and used vehicles we were given a more than fair price on 2 vehicles and more than I expected for a trade in. Sam will definitely be taking care of our vehicles needs in the future as long as the rest of the Sexton staff who were all friendly and more than helpful. Highly recommended!

We were on a holiday vacation from San Diego to East Moline and decided it might enhance our comfort for the trip back home. Upon looking and deciding if we really needed a new vehicle at this time we stumbled across a dealership that didn't hunt us down as we browsed at SUV's. It was a very cold afternoon and the last thing we where looking for was a pushy salesman that was looking to make as much commission as he possibly could from two cold souls. Samuel Peters walked up and greeted us with a smile that was full of warmth. He asked if he could help and we said sure can we start this Chevy Tahoe and see what it has? His reply was "Sure, most certainly". He said the keys are in it and we fired it up to gain a little more warmth as well as information on the vehicle. He got out of the vehicle several times to check the vehicle mileage of a few vehicles that were close to us so we didn't have to bare the cold any more than we needed. We decided to take the Tahoe we were sitting in for a test drive and felt a slight bond with this man we just met who was just treating us like we were normal people. Almost like we had known Sam for years, not pushy at all and made us all feel like old high school friends. We made the purchase with Sam and would definitely do it again when we are ready for another.

Buyer beware! Do not trust these guys. Go to Reynolds Ford or even Dahl in Davenport. Seriously. They will say ANYTHING to make a sale. I bought a vehicle last year and I was promised a cargo cover and a few other things once everything was signed and good to go. After I left, not a dang thing. Nothing, they acted like the conversation never happened. Then when I check my credit, they literally ran my credit and did a hard inquiry, every single time I sat down in one of their offices to discuss financing within the same week! Do you know how much that lowers somebody's credit score? They did it without my permission because I NEVER would have agreed to that. One time is enough and that's all they need to see. Not every single time you walk back into an office and sit down a day or so later. Then when I called and asked them to remove it, or to talk to the owner, all I get is excuses. I'll be leaving negative feedback with Ford Corporate to factor into their annual reviews and dealership awards and I am currently disputing the extra credit inquiries. I'll adjust my review if they can provide better customer service and stop playing games!

I was all set to buy a car from this company and was completely baffled and amazed at the lack of professionalism demonstrated. I went there with a set price in mind in which the salesman was quite happy to help. After talking and looking at several cars in the computer, I was presented with an option for a nice car. I was shown a car and was allowed to test drive it. I had financing available to me from my credit union, the response from the salesman was "not a problem" The only error on my part was I had to go retrieve my checkbook to pay for the car, which was roughly an hour round trip. When I arrived to pay for the vehicle, some "mysterious" buyer with cash in hand had come in and bought my car just like that. Not even a phone call to tell me "hey your car has been bought, or I have another person on the lot that is going to buy the car" After this little dog and pony act, the salesman shook my hand and said sorry and walked away, and did not even offer an alternative vehicle. After being gone only a short time I had noticed the car was in the exact same spot where I had parked it, and the salesman was lounging about outside the dealership without a care in the world. So this mystery buyer drove the car and left it in the exact same spot as I had and nobody even bothered to put a sold sign on the car?! This all seemed a little fishy to me so I went to another dealer and spent my money there. I can't recommend this dealership to anybody with their questionable sales ethics. Buyer be warned, proceed at your own risk.

My husband and I had a good experience up until "negotiations". Our sales rep was not pushy, let us walk around the lot first and gave us some time to look over the car on our own while he printed out a CarFax report. We came back the next day, took it to the mechanic who noticed a few issues (needed new shocks, some minor seepage on the transmission and brakes that needed new rings, etc)-- nothing that couldn't easily be fixed. We decided this was the car for us. We tried to talk down the asking price because of the issues the mechanic found, and because of the age of the car (10 years). That's when things took a turn for the worse. He would not budge on the price and finally conceded to an insulting $500 off. We let him know that there was another car in the area that was the same make/model, almost identical mileage, and had extra features for significantly less then what they were asking-- still wouldn't budge. Early in the process, he made an off-hand comment that the manager was thinking about purchasing the car for his son, and if that's true, might explain the complete lack of negotiation and why Sexton Ford wasted A LOT of our time. Guess we'll be looking at the other car next week.

I was unable to purchase a car at Sexton Ford, because they did not want to negotiate price of a used car. I have always negotiated prices on cars I have purchase, but they would not budge on their sale price. I like to start out low and meet in the middle, but never got a chance. I was purchasing a used car for $2495 I offered $2350 out the door. I know that would not fly, but I was hoping to meet in the middle at $2700. I basically was told no and that was it. I am upset, because I have been a customer of them for 25 years. I bought my first new truck through them, and even brought my oldest son in to by his first vehicle there last year, in which I cosigned for him. I will not return tom Sexton Ford to buy another vehicle again, so I guess I will be going across the road to Mills.

I bought a used 2009 dodge journey from here a few months ago and have had to have it in the service department 4 times and have it towed 3 after getting stranded out in the cold with my kids because the car wouldnt start. Kept getting told that nothing was wrong with it and to wait for the problem to happen again!! In the middle of winter was told to wait for my car to break down again on me and my kids then have it towed back! Finally they took it to a dodge dealership and i ended up havin to pay over a hundred dollars for some loose wires which they sworw fixed the problem...nope! Car wouldnt start again last night after taking my family out for dinner so was stranded in the cold again! Very disappointed in their lack of wanting to help solve this issue...was sold a lemon!!!

Was interested in a 2003 diesel pickup but they would not let me take it to my mechanic or even let me test drive it. But sure wanted to "do what ever they could to get me into that truck TODAY" I was already pre approved for a loan, but did not tell them that I had the check in my pocket. Was going to see if i could get a better APR from there people. So all in all, after doing a car fax on the pickup and finding out it was totaled, I see why they did not want anyone to look into it close. Just remember the ones that look like rednecks, and have the scruffey beards, might just be the owner of a company and have the $$ in pocket.. Wont EVER go back there.

My Ranger's heat quit working, so I called the service department for advice and an estimate. After describing the problem, I brought the truck in for an evaluation. Ray took a look at it and determined the "blend door actuator" was bad and suggested I go to the parts counter because I could likely replace the part myself. I was able to look at the part and was even given a blow-up of the A/C - heater system. After doing more research on my own, I came back to buy the part and was given a great deal. There was a Subaru on this lot that I wanted *very much*, and they knew that this was essentially "the one" in my eyes. The problem was that the numbers would not match with monthly payments, as I couldn't put any money down (I needed an extra thousand to be where I wanted with payments.) I came back the next day, and it turns out that they were working on this for me since then and got me those payments that I wanted (EXACTLY the payments I wanted) with no money down, and basically gave me the thousand that I needed for it (they gave me over a thousand more than blue book even suggested that I would get from a dealership.) This was a car that definitely would have sold anyway, it's in impeccable condition. They made this deal *for me*, that's the important part, it means that they care about the customer more than they do the money. Great place, great people, and I will always remember this deal, and I will always shop Sexton from now on. They have a repeat customer. Therefore, I have to say thank you *very* much to sales manager Rex Pauley for making such a great deal happen. Sales-people Ben Wiggins, Aaron Swanson, and Phillip Cathoir (respectively, in the order of whom I dealt with.) and a thanks to Sexton Ford, in general. This is where you want to go.

Last Friday my dad and I drove over to Sexton Ford and were just browsing for a truck for myself. Phil Cathior came to my rescue with an umbrella, as it was pouring and he watched me run around my dads truck trying to use my jacket for cover. We told him what I was looking for (something to tow my 25 foot camper) and I was interested in an f-150 with 4wheel drive and so we test drove a few (used of course) and they were great... but this one particular vehicle kept catching my eye.. so I gave in and test drove it. And loved it... Though it was nearly identical to one that I had shared with an ex (who of course still has it) so I was really evaluating it... I kept saying "it just has to be silver doesn't it!!" but... I decided that this was the one... not the f-150... but this one... So Phil took us inside and we made offers.... his boss made counter offers... we were in that office forever... but finally... we came to a price that we could agree on... but unfortunately... we had to leave... and I had to leave this vehicle there... but 4 days later we went back but sadly Phil had been ill so he turned it over to a co-worker of his Wayne Parker. Wayne was just a fantastic as Phil. He helped me along with the financial parts of it... we spent about 2 hours there... but we got it... And I drove home with a TERRIFIC!!! 2003 Silver Ford Expedition for a STEAL!!! My payments are only $148!! That's amazing for what I got!! Now I've been looking for a truck for nearly 5 years and have been waiting for just the right one. And this Expedition... it's the right one. Sexton Ford put a ton of money into this one before I ever even looked at it!! I could not have asked for a better experience than this one at a dealership. Ive been to many dealerships over the past few years and dealt with many salesmen... But Phil was by far the salesman for me. He wasn't trying to just push me into anything. He was really listening to what I am all about and trying to get just the right one for me. He succeeded. He worked really hard to get this sale so in the end he ended up getting us a GREAT deal on the expedition. And thank you Wayne Parker for helping us out and standing in for Phil when I came back to get it. I highly recommend these two guys at Sexton Ford. They definitely make the stressful car shopping experience relaxed and easy. THANK YOU TWO AGAIN!!! P.S. I Looooovvvvvveeeee my Fords but this is the best one I've had for myself :)

**Disclaimer: I normally do not write reviews, however, this is one dealer that people who live in Chicagoland should know about** So, I find myself in Chicago where dealers are a dime a dozen. Now, I'm a young guy, with a solid job and spending my money on a new vehicle isn't something I take lightly. In the city I found, pricing to be inflated and the overall process with dealers is 'put up the money or shut up'. Well let me tell you, I'll never mind driving for a vehicle purchase again. After months of looking for the car I wanted at a price that I deemed as fair, I was having little luck and a lot of bad experience dealing with sales reps throughout all of Chicago. From the burbs to inner city dealers, no one was helpful or really even patient enough to help me with my needs. I stumbled upon the used car I was looking for and inquired about it. I got an immediate response and did pretty much all my dealings over the phone. The salesmen who worked with me 'Ben' was a super nice guy and was only concerned about getting the right car for me and promised he'd do whatever he could to make something happen for me. After some negotiating 'WHICH WAS A RELIEF, to even be negotiating, we struck a FAIR deal. So, without them even seeing my vehicle or me even seeing the car, I drove 2.5 hours to go finalize. Once i got there, I was only greeted with smiles and all employees were attentive to my needs. I was literally in and out. No waiting in a cubicle for 4 hours on end... they took my car for a spin, I saw the car.... Signed on the dotted line and I had a new car. I told Ben that this was the easiest car deal I had ever made, and it was true. I got the money I thought my car was worth and I got the ride of my dreams at an affordable rate. If Sexton has another car I am looking for in the future, i wont blink an eye over driving 2.5 hours for that type of purchase experience again.

Rex was very helpful from the time we walked onto the lot from the time we drove the vehicle home. He was such a huge help with everything from price, to interest rate, to making sure it's the vehicle we really wanted. I found the perfect truck and contacted Jon Humphrey the Internet sales manager. Jon was very easy to talk to as I described my questions and he answered them about the truck with a few checks and he even sent pictures! I had a trade that I described and sent photos and a good enough estimate was put together over the phone that I then drove to Illinois to drive the truck and finalize the deal. Jon Humphrey even made sure the title was back from the state do I could take it with me to Missouri. The whole process was easy and painless and I would do business with Sexton Ford and Jon Humphrey anytime!

My husband and I are from the Quad Cities area and with him being Military we move around a lot. That has not stopped me from buying vehicles only from Sexton Ford. I have made 2 purchases there and both were from Robert Coronado. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. He listened to all of my request a and he never made me feel like I was just another customer. Dealing with management I never felt taken advantage of due to being a woman and going in both times on my own. They went out of their way to show their support and gratitude for my husbands service and that meant a lot. With every oil change, tire rotation, or simple check over on our vehicles we were in and out and the service department was always pleasant to deal with. Everything from the front desk, salesman, finance, service, to management we had such great customer service I have recommended multiple friends and family to buy from here and not one person has been left unhappy! (= You will regret it if you go anywhere else. Thank you to the whole staff at Sexton for making me feel comfortable in knowing I have a place I can come back to no matter where I live.
