im Roe was the very best car salesman I have ever dealt with, ever!! He understood what my needs were because he listened to what I had to say. He kept in touch with me and I never felt any pressure from him or anyone there at all. This is my new car dealership and I hope to do business with them again and again. Gavin (Salesman), and Josh (Business Manager) were both very professional and friendly. Explained what we were looking for and COULD NOT be happier with what Gavin suggested. Never thought I'd go with a Ford Fusion, but it really embodies what we were looking for. The 2017 style is classy, sleek and modern which appeals to younger generations, yet is still a very smooth ride with excellent features like the backup camera and blind spot mirrors (I always put blind spot mirrors on my vehicles - LOVE that they came built in), it's spacious trunk and of course low gas mileage make it ideal for older generations as well. Thank you Gavin for suggesting the PERFECT car for me! I LOVE it!

First, the car that we had inquired about was not on the lot when we arrived for our appointment and we had to go off and have lunch while they went to Bath to get the car back. The trade in allowance for our 2009 Subaru was well below the expected value based on mileage, condition and NADA ratings. We were told that Simmons-Rockwell discounts the new car prices instead of providing those trade-in values. Since the new car prices were the reason we came in, this is just a scheme to move the money from one side to the other and there is no advantage in going to Hornell for the prices offered. On the way to pick up our 2015 Subaru Legacy, I was contacted with the news that the passenger side window could not be operated and it needed parts and service. I was disappointed that S-R did not inspect this car thoroughly enough to discover this. Now we will have to have that fixed locally. Finally, part of the deal with our salesman was to leave with a full tank of gas. But when I took the keys, the car was empty. The salesman said he would fill it, but he only put about 1/3 tank of gas in it as I discovered a mile down the road, and had to fill it myself. Considering that I had relieved S-R of the window problem by taking the car as is, this was a petty act that cost S-R a lot in customer satisfaction, referrals, and future business.

I have purchased my last 3 vehicles from Simmons Rockwell in Hornell location. The first car, chevy malibu, I had a rollover accident in after only having it for 5 or 6 months. I came down the next day, as I was lucky and did not get hurt, and Phil Cornell went above and beyond a second time to make sure I was able to get a new car. I purchased a chevy impala that day. Then my parents truck broke down and they went to Simmons Rockwell for a new truck. They asked me to drive them there to pick up their new truck. I started looking around and I saw the Jeep. I went in and asked the salesman if I could take it for a ride. Of course he said. I was sold! Got a great price and was able to drive home that day in my new Jeep! Everyone there was very pleasant, asked if I would like coffee or tea. I realize it takes time for the staff to get all the paperwork and loans approved, but they all made it great experience! I went to another dealership showed up for an appointment expecting the car I wanted to be there like promised, waited for an half hour only to find out the salesman didn't get the car I was to look at and he started working with another customer at the time of my appointment. Needless to say I was upset and frustrated so I decided to give Simmons a shot and I was amazed. I was greeted by Jake and from the minute I told him what we wanted he was wonderful. He answered all my questions, was fast and took great care of me. So thank you Jake for helping me purchase my new car thank you for your excellence service and you will be getting my referrals and any of my families next business.

We had communicated by phone after I had expressed interest in a SUV online. Jerry, our salesman from S-R, brought the vehicle in from another location and had it ready for us to look over and test drive. Jerry was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and its features and was not in the least bit pushy which most likely would have sent my wife and I off the lot. We bought the vehicle that day. Great experience, professional, and painless.

Corey, the salesman was quite friendly but did not share a number of things with us. As we were signing paperwork the stipulation that cars were sold as is came up.We were NOT told that we had to take a car that was damaged and/or dented.(This did have some damage and dents)We were NOT told this by Corey, tho, we were quite thankful and appreciative that the dealership agreed to push out one dent when asked after we discovered several dents in the car. As we were signing the paperwork we were told that if there is only one key then we are responsible to get another. We were NOT told this by Corey. C.J. began telling us that Simmons puts the electronic rust prevention systems on cars. He made it sound like that came with the car. Then told us a lovely story how his family had a 20 year old car that was only now beginning to rust because of the electronic rust prevention system. We then asked for further clarification and he said no, it had to be purchased. Initially he led us to believe that it came as part of the sale of the car. Corey also did not explain any of the features of the car to my son who was the recipient of the car. He did not ask if our son had any questions about any features of the car. I DO not know Corey at all but as a salesperson he needs to work on his skills in regards to full disclosure and helpfulness. We were pleased with the price of the car and do know that it was the best price for that make and model with the mileage that we could have gotten locally.

I purchased a car in 2003. Larry Brown/sale assoc. was a dream! My family has been buying cars for years from this company. Always great service/product through this individual. Unfortunately and sadly, he passed. I decided to purchase my next car in 2012 from SR because of this history and "assumed" the other sales assoc. would have a similar commitment to their clients. The sales assoc. made the following statements to me the day I came to pick up my car: 1. "If you don't pay a $2K deposit then I will lose my job?" (I had explained that a deposit was contingent on an insurance pay out and could not guarantee this $ up front. He set the loan up with this $2K down payment and wasn't willing to make changes.) This is truly unprofessional behavior. I should have reported him immediately and that is my problem (for being more considerate than he). 2. Maybe you could ask your parents for the money? (This was said to me after I expressed the $2K deposit wasn't a possibility within the time frame.) My dad is passed and my mom is in her late 70's. Not an option. I had a limited period to get a vehicle due to an accident not of my doing. I had no time to make other decisions and he knew it! I was trapped into this situation. 3. I purchased a convertible and the top would not fold into the truck, I called them within 2 weeks after getting the car and this is what I was told to do: "YOU HAVE A WARRANTY SO YOU NEED TO CALL THEM!" They couldn't care less. 4. My sister purchased a car and they called her repeatedly after the purchase to check on her, the car, and her happiness. They even sent her a B-day card. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN! Serious issues with training...obviously. 5. I saw the car on their site and asked if it could be transferred to another SR location and although they did complete the request, there appeared to be issues with the sales rep from site to site. I got the impression this rep wasn't getting the commission and just wanted to get to his next sale. Although other family/friends have purchased and seem to be happy (who wouldn't when you get 3 calls from the dealership in the 1st month of your purchase to check on your satisfaction), I will look everywhere before I ever consider doing business with them again. I hope this review is helpful and maybe (if the dealership reads this review), will use this to their benefit so no other client feel as disgruntled/forgotten as I do regarding this last purchase.

I drove over an hr to look at a vehicle that the sales guy said was in mint condition. Vehicle looked as if it was driven through bushes scratching the paint up bad. Yea not happy. So I looked at another car I liked I purchased then before I leave the parking lot it has door lock issues the sales guy says they will have it taken care of or drive it back, hello I live an hr and half away. After many emails and trying to call the sale rep they never fixed my car. Once you leave there you are dirt to them. I looked the car over the next day after purchase and a door panel was coming off. The sales rep never got back to me and they didn't fix it. I will never tell friends or family to shop at any of there places they are a joke. I would have my sales rep fired if he worked for me for being so unprofessional when saying his company would fix the issues with the car and never did. Simmons of Rockwell is terrible they are big but don't care about there customers.

I purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram from Simmons Rockwell, Hornell location. The sales team, especially Kyle Dunham are amazing! This was by far the BEST experience I have EVER had buying a vehicle. From setting up an appt. to look and test drive, to figuring out payments, to getting the keys in my hand couldn't of gone more smooth. The staff is so professional and polite. I would 100% recommend Simmons Rockwell Hornell location to ALL of my family and friends. Thank you for making my dream come true!

Purchased a 2013 Ford Edge from Hornell, NY dealership. Kyle Dunham was my Sales Rep. He was very helpful & patient & answered all my questions promptly & thoroughly. He followed up on every question and issue that I had. Would highly recommend him! I researched this vehicle for months & compared prices with many other dealers, and no one came close to Simmons-Rockwell's price. The only issue I had was, after inspecting the vehicle, we noted it needed a new air filter, but Simmons-Rockwell wouldn't put a new one ($20.00) in before I purchased it. If it wasn't for that, I would have given 5 stars!

Sells extended service agreements. DOES NOT CHECK THEIR PAPERS. Vehicle Identification # WRONG to CAR they SOLD! Only says will send back amount paid for service agreement. NO PAY FOR ANY AND ALL REPAIRS UNTIL CAR REACHES 100,000 MILES! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! FRAUDS! This paper work was put in AFTER purchase of car....no signature from buyer on extended service agreement paper.Their Salesman screws up and they will not fix nor honor what you pay for.

I had the pleasure to deal with some great guys here. I had a horrible experience with a dealer in Buffalo a couple weeks ago that left me with no choice but to cancel the delivery of the vehicle and arrived there a little bitter. My salesperson Matt was great and informative. All the staff seemed friendly and inviting. I took the 40 minute trip to this dealership due to the number of recommendations it received from friends and family. Matt and Roger delivered beyond expectations. Thank you for a trouble free buying experience and I will do business there again.

We have bought 5 used cars from Simmons Rockwell in Hornell & have been happy enough with their quality, prices & sevice that we came from Kansas to by a car. It turned out that it had been damaged in an accident that neither Us or the dealer knew at the time. When be came to have problems with it - they payed for all the repairs and then wound up taking it back (from Kansas) for a full refund. I don't think you can find a more honest & supportive dealer

My son and I went to simmons-rockwell in Hallstead Pa. We told Mr. Springer what we were looking for.He showed us a couple of cars we liked my son test drove them . He decided on a 2010 Nissan Versa for $8999.We sat down to go over the paper work .My son said he would put down $5000 and fiance the reset through our Credit Union.He wanted us to use his bank but said we were more comfortable with ours.He tried to sell us some rust proofing and a warranty that he insisted we needed,but we didn't want.After 2hrs. he gave us an invoice with the amount we needed to get from our Credit Union.On our way out he asked us when would we be back tomarrow in the morning or afternoon we said early afternoon.So he could have it ready for us. We got home my son called his insurance and put the car on for the next day.In the morning on our way to the Credit Union THEY CALLED AND SAID THEY SOLD THE CAR .They said they sold it 15 min. after we left It took him 2hrs. to show us and do the paper work it was after 7pm when we left they close at 8pm Edward Wulff

He promised us we had first chance at the car when it arrived. We offered to put a deposit down to hold the car - he said we don't need to do that. The car arrived at one of the NY dealerships. Another customer was standing there, saw the car and offered to buy it. Instead of upholding their promise to us, Simmons-Rockwell sold the car out from under us. Salesman apologized profusely but the dealership would not give us a price break a similar car - they "just couldn't do that". Very poor treatment. I'd hate to need to rely on them for anything else. Before posting this review, I gave them plenty of time to respond positively to our offer but they refused.
