No problems, gave me plenty of time to get the car checked out by my mechanic. No pressure at all and feel like I got a fair deal. Would buy from him again.

After years of driving my 2002 Ford Escape I recently decided it was time to treat myself to a car I've admired for several years, a BMW X5. Admittedly, while I've had luxury cars in the past, I didn't know much about the X5 beyond the fact that I liked how they looked. I also knew that purchasing a new X5 was out of my price range which is why I began to look for one locally. I was able to find one at a well known dealership downtown that was in my price range, however, when I went to test drive the car - the seat was broken. I was told that the service manager would repair and get back in touch with me. Never happened. I was driving home from the gym one day and noticed Southside Imports. I noticed several BMW trucks - all X3's and several other luxury cars. I pulled in and was greeted by a courteous man, that seemed to know a lot about cars. I later discovered this was the owner, Sean. We spoke for about 10 minutes, during which he recommended that I purchase a 6 cylinder engine as opposed to the 8 cylinder due to gas mileage. Unfortunately, he didn't have any X5s on the day that we met, but I gave him my # and asked him to please keep me posted if he came across anything he thought I might like. A couple of weeks later, I was elated to receive a call from Sean telling me that he'd "found the perfect car for (me)." Sean sent me photos of the car and even passed along the Car Fax information. When I came to test drive the car, Sean was very thorough in his explanation of the car's features and amenities. I was so impressed that after meeting with Sean weeks prior that he was a man of his word, and found my dream car at a conservative price. I would most definitely recommend Southside Imports to anyone looking for a luxury car at affordabale prices

We were searching for a reliable car for our daughter who will be attending college out of state in the Fall. She actually found a BMW she really liked. Unfortunately, the car she originally found had been sold when we went to the dealer for a visit, but there were several other possibilities on the lot. As soon as we pulled into the lot, we were greeted by Sean. He asked what we were looking for and we told him about the particular BMW my daughter had seen. Since it had been sold, he told us about other similar cars on his lot. All of the cars seemed to be priced reasonably. Looked at several cars and he offered to let us drive our favorite. Having owned a BMW before, I already knew of the excellent driving experience that a BMW offered. The 2006 325i was no disappointment. Sean was very personable and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He let us drive several other cars and we left to make our decision. I was already convinced that I would purchase a car from Southside Imports. We decided on the original BMW we test drove and Sean let us take the car overnight to be checked out by my mechanic. The car looked clean and mechanically seemed sound. The car had a couple of minor maintenance items needing to be dealt with, but Sean was upfront about all of them. The main issue was that the car needed front brakes, which is an easy DIY job for me. The purchase was easy, the price was less than I could have bought the same car locally and regionally based on my research. The purchase was one of the easiest I have experienced, and Sean was excellent. I know I will be buying another vehicle from Sean at Southside Imports in the near future!!

My wife and I just purchased a 2012 VW Jetta Sportwagon TDI from Southside Imports and overall it was a very good experience. From the beginning the owner "Sean," returned my phone call promptly and answered all of my questions via phone. When I went by to see the vehicle they had it ready for me to look at and allowed me a test drive. I asked a LOT of questions about the vehicle and Sean was very informative about everything he knew about the vehicle plus he had already ran an 'Auto Check,' on the vehicle and shared the results with me. I called him two days later to discuss price and I discovered that Sean was very easy to work with and he was upfront about any additional costs and fees such as tax and title transfer fees. He was able to give me complete out the door pricing - which I like! We agreed to close the next day and when I arrived he had all of the paperwork ready, the pricing was exactly what he quoted me, and I we signed all documents within 5 minutes. Awesome! It would be difficult to find any negatives in my overall experience. If there were any negatives it would be that my vehicle was not washed and detailed when I picked it up, but then I was purchasing it 'As Is,' so I can't fault them on that. Also, some people might find the parking inconvenient on their small lot, but It didn't bother me as I will take a slight parking inconvenience any day to get a good deal, honest sales people, and good customer service.

I had been looking for several different models of Convertible. I had looked at A Mazda, a Volvo, a Chrysler, and several other models. My wife had always wanted a Volkswagen EOS after having ridden in one several years ago. I looked for one but could not find a used one in my price range in the State. I happened upon Southside Imports and to be honest, I was a little leery abut doing business with such a small operation. I called to check on the car and Sean was quite outgoing and friendly and he invited me to come look at the care and take it for a test drive. He told me what he knew to be wrong with the car and what he had fixed on it already. He even told me that the drivers seat did not work even before I came out to drive it. He let me test drive it and assured me that he would get the seat fixed before I picked it up should I decide to buy it. And true to his work, he did. My only complaint and it is not really against Sean is that it took almost a week to fix the seat. However, since I bought the car, it has been a blast to drive, Thanks so much Sean, and I would definitely recommend your services.

I recently purchased Mercedes CL500. The car runs gray and the salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful. Sean is very courteous and great to do business with. I recommend Southside Imports for the nicest cars and the best deals !!

After shopping around for about a week I came upon Southside imports. I usually only but from private sellers because of a bad history with dealers. But after talking with him I could see that he wasn't like the rest he was very nice and straight foreword all of his vehicles where great and affordable it was very hard to choose but he was patient and more than happy to answer any questions I had. I also brought a mechanic friend with me and instead of getting annoyed like most dealers would he was happy to share all the information he had on the vehicle and let us take all the time we needed. He wasn't pushy at all I would recommend Southside imports to anyone who wants to get a good reliable car at a great price.

When I went to southside imports the dealer was very friendly and very upfront about any problems with the car. I am a mechanic and he did not lie or try to over charge me. Everything on his lot is quality and a great deal. Most dealers are trying to make a fortune off of people but this is not the case he is an honest man trying to make living. When ever I am in the marker for a vehicle I will always go to him first from here on out

after a month of searching for a vehicle i finally found one i wanted.i got up early one saturday and made the trip to birmingham from tuscaloosa,but to my dismay the car had already been sold.i refused to settle for something i didnt want even though i was in dire need of dependable transportation.before i left for home empty handed i searched on my phone for the same vehicle and to my surprise,not even 2 miles down the road i found the exact same year/make/model as the one i originally went for,and 53,000 LESS miles at that.talk about a NICE car....wow!clean,well maintained,drove great and couldnt be happier.this is by far the nicest car i've ever owned and sean was willing to meet me after hours just to get it. Made the whole experience easy and very comforting.if you're looking for a nice,dependable car at a great price...come to southside imports!

I recently purchased a 3 series BMW from Southside Imports. After spending weeks searching online and also going to other dealerships about town, I was elated when I happened upon Southside imports on my commute home. I called the sign and spoke with a polite young man over phone about the vehicle I saw parked on the lot. I explained I was looking for something reliable to use as a second mode of transportation. I've always wanted a BMW; however, I hadn't been fortunate enough to find a model with mileage and a price tag that was suitable. He suggested I come down and look at 3 BMW's he had on the lot that were in my price range, and also met my mileage requirements. Upon meeting Sean, I was taken with how knowledgeable he was about cars in general. It's obvious he enjoys his job. All of the cars I look at were well maintained on the inside and out, however to be sure, I brought along my mechanic to make sure I wasn't purchasing a lemon. Sean was fine with my mechanic looking at the car and though he did not offer a CarFax, he provided the vin # for me to have a CarFax without hesitation. Once I received the go ahead from my mechanic, and Carfax, I was able to purchase a fully loaded 05 3 Series that is hands down one of the best cars I've ever had. Runs great and haven't had to do any repairs beyond purchasing a new bulb for my headlight. If anyone is considering purchasing a luxury vehicle without the over the top price tag I would definitely recommend Southside Imports.
