I had an Audi a6 for years. Well my car was involved in an accident and the cost to repair would have been too much. So I had Audi junked. Well I read all the good reviews about Star Hyundai and spoke to Andrew Lee. Let me tell you, this guy is awesome. I explained my situation, how I had bad credit (student loan) and low down payment. I told him exactly what I could afford monthly. Well he told me to come in anyway that he could help me. At first I was skeptical because I live in coney island and public transportation is three hours long to get to dealership. Andrew called me and assured me he can put me in something. Well I took a chance and went! The whole process took about an hour long. I couldn't drive away that same night because car needed to have inspection done. So what did Andrew do? He drove me home! I was floored with his courtesy and generosity to drop me off. I came the next day and car was ready for me. The staff at Star Hyundai are down to earth and are simply great. I recommend this place to everyone. And when you go ask for Andrew Lee and tell him Melody from Coney island sent you!

Had a pleasant experience when i visited, Andrew was very friendly & made me feel comfortable & at ease. My son Andre went later on in the evening to meet with Andrew to ensure that I was getting a good deal & that the veloster had all the features he wanted. A few days later, I returned to close the deal & Andrew had all the paperwork ready to go, I was in and out in no time.

Our experience in the showroom was pleasant and informative. Mr. Ken Cheong was our sales associate. Mr. Cheong was courteous and spent time with us explaining all the features of the car, took us for a test drive and even put on the football game in the other room for my "impatient" husband who was upset for missing the football game. Mr. Cheong gets high marks for his patience.Who ever "prepped" my NEW cars for picked in the service dept on the other hand I do not have high marks for. After I arrived home, was going through the manual and inspecting the car, I noticed that the battery indicator light shows that my battery is only at HALF capacity! REALLY!! this is a new car. It should have a brand new battery in it. Also there was little to NO windshield washer fluid in the receptacle. It did not work when I tried it. I had to FILL the receptacle with my own fluid. Many of the AUTOMATIC features that Mr. Cheong raved about during the demonstration did not work because they were NOT programmed (auto trunk opening, door locks etc.) which I had to read through the manual and set myself. Many items were prepped on my husband's car that were NOT prepped on mine. Makes me question Star Hyundai's service dept.

I was looking for a Santa Fe Sport Ultimate working with 3 dealers. I chose Star Hyundai because the salesperson was laid back, almost like he didn't care, and dressed casually which made it easy working with him. I hate being sold on hype with an inflated quote by slick sales people & then wasting time negotiating. His initial quote was better than the other dealers' negotiated offer so I rewarded him by accepting his first offer. I got to the dealership at 4:30 & was hoping to pick up the vehicle same day. The dealership closed at 6pm (it was a Saturday), but the salesperson stayed with me until past 7 claiming he had nothing better to do, & we sat on the curb exchanging small talk until the vehicle was ready. To boot I'm happy with the vehicle.

Salesmen was professional and part of the reason I was willing to buy a Hyundai. However when it came to the financials of purchasing the car, The Financial manager almost made me back out. First while the car is good itself the vehicle was dented and scratched which I already spoke about in a separate letter. Second, the Financial Manager made us add 500$ of the negotiated amount to receive Hyundai 0.9% Interest rate even though our credit rating was excellent. Third, the manager slighted me, leaving out important details the warranty refusing to explain and differentiate between car service and maintenance not only making me buy it on the spot saying that we could not buy it later if we leave without me being able to research it.

If I could give negative star reviews I would definitely do that. We were looking for a test drive and would like to have a quote for budgeting. However, the salesperson said he would not able to deal with us since he has customers now and he would pass the case to another salesperson(Tommy) if we are not going to make a deal, which is fine by me. So we went for a test drive with Tommy. And the nightmare began.....Tommy requested to communicate with us in Mandarin which is fine by me too. And he starts to ask a lot of personal questions like: where are you from? How long you have been here? And when we get back he hushed us into his office even though we clearly mentioned that we just want to test drive. Then once we got to his desk, he asked: "What color of the car you want?" And we were telling him that we were still looking because we want to compare and do budgeting. And he was like: "I know. But what color you want so I can check is that color in stock." And we were confused that why he insisted to ask that question and we told him that we are not going to buy the car today. And he was like: "I know. I wanted to ask what color you want so I can get you a cheap insurance quote." And he explained that different color would give you different insurance quote, white color will be the cheapest as it resembles ambulance. My common sense told me it is not possible but I continued to ask him about the quote because that day was the last day of summer deals according to Hyundai website. And he said it has no difference the price is set all the time so we could come back anytime we want. He also mentioned that if other dealership gives you a better price why don't you leave and go for other dealership. And I found it extremely disrespectful. I strongly recommend you all to stay away from this dealership. I have never received a nice service from star dealership.

Was not sure if I wanted another Hyundai but after the test drive and sit down with super salesman Mark Stetchel, I did sign the lease. He is ultra professional, personable and not pushy. He removes the stigma that car salesman have to live with because of others in the field. My Sonata Limited is a great car. Only things I miss from the Honda I last owned are the side view camera which is so much better and safer than just a blind spot alert beep; as well as the ability to accept text messages and have them read to me without having to physically connect my phone to the car with a wire every time I drive. Howeve,r my Sonata has cross traffic alert and panoramic sunroof which were not offered on the Honda.

Two XG350's, one Sonata and Two Tuscans The XG's were beautiful and a tough act to follow.The Sonata was an eye catcher ,fast and fun to drive. The first Tuscon showed us the usefulness of a SUV and the second Tuscon is nicer looking than the first and seems a little bigger. Its transmission seems to be"hunting" sometimes like it not sure which gear it should be in but maybe that will end when the ECO system is fully implemented .

I went to Bayside Star Hyundai with my father and we were immediately greeted and assisted by Kenneth Cheong. It was my first time purchasing a car and he was willing to sit down with us for several hours and went above and beyond to answer all the different questions we had regarding products, financing options, and car insurance. He was very patient, courteous and professional throughout the whole process. I did not feel like anything was hidden from me because he was very transparent and helped us get the best deal. After the purchase was made we were shown the features of the car. Ken reassured us that he was available if we came up with any other questions or concerns. 31 days out, still don't have license plates which were overnighted 5 days ago. Have no car to drive. At one point the dealer actually said the words "well do you have that in writing." What an unsettling thing to hear from someone after a negotiaton and signed contract. I've been hung up on and lied countless times since I got the car. I was also harassed into providing good reviews for Mark. Awful awful awful experience. Haven't been sleeping for almost 2 weeks because of this. Stay away. I regret getting a new car (a new car which was dirty).

Ken couldn't be bothered to explain keyless ignition features. he synced bluetooth. but that was it. The clock was not set. Did not explain how door locking/unlocking works with keyless ignition Have returned twice to have him show me how to use features of car. There are four books in the glove box , who has time to read all of that?? The sales person could review features before one drives off the lot This is my third consecutive lease with Hyundai. There was no customer loyalty rewards; Am probably finished with Hyundai after this lease

I went here is look at a Tuscon. When I arrived I stood there for at least five minutes until I was even acknowledged by any one. Once I was assigned a sales person I was taken over to a desk and right away given a price. I was not asked what I wanted in the car, which style I wanted or if I wanted to even test drive one. When I showed them the prices I was given from TrueCar.com they told me they could not match the price and would not even work with me. I walked out the door and never heard from them again.

Jun was the most professional salesperson I have encountered at a car dealership. Nothing short of excellent. He was thorough, fast, and answered all of my questions/concerns. What I appreciated most was that if he was unsure about a specific question, he told me honestly that he was unsure but would look into it for me. While there was only one question I had that fell into this situation, he looked into finding my answer quickly and let me know. I've worked in sales myself and know that this is a sign of a great salesman.

I had a very busy schedule & a lot going on at once but unlike other dealerships they didn't call me everyday, every hour to come in & finish the purchase. I love this dealership! They are so friendly and made me feel comfortable the entire time. They focused on my needs in a car and came up with a really great deal for me. They did not box me into a corner or push for an immediate answer as I experienced at Hyundai of Long Island City. And when I got my new car, Tom walked me through everything and only when he was satisfied that I had a handle on everything, did he finally let me leave. But not before asking me if I was happy with the car, which I am. When I called Tom to tell him he and I didn't realize the floor mats weren't in the car when I picked it up - it was dark out by the time I got the car and the paper foot guards were on the floor - he told me to come in and they would make good on it. I had already purchased them from the parts department in LIC, so when I told him, he said to still come in and they would make good on it. They have because they are giving me splash guards and wheel locks. I have spoken to Tom since getting my car and each time he asks if I have any questions and am I happy with the car. Definitely I would recommend Star Hyundai and definitely I intend to go back to them when I buy my next Hyundai.

I received a great promotion in the mail to trade in my 2013 elantra Limited edition/navi with 18,000 miles on it for a new car. Promo said they would honor kelley blue book value of my car plus give me 20% above book value toward my new car. The agent i dealt with claimed that he was able to get me a "great" deal for a 2016 Tuscon lease basic model but then presented me with a crazy price of $470/month. This is well over $150/month more then what i should be paying for this type of lease. (Lease was advertised as $249/month) I have a near perfect 804 credit score and i was a returning "valued" customer and this dealer attempted to pull this scam on me. Extremely dishonest. I advise you to go else where. Goodluck.

If I could give this dealership ( and my sales professional, Philip Robinson ) TEN RATING STARS, I would have! I first walked into Star Hyundai, Bayside, on August 6th. 2015. I was ( every so ) fortunate to be greeted by Philip Robinson. During that first ( two hour ) sit down, Philip went over all the key features of the 2015 Sonata Limited that we were interested in purchasing. He was courteous, patient, articulate, and answered every last one of my questions ( I'm a techie ) in full detail and always respecting my intelligence! Never once being condescending or talking down to me - as MANY car salesman do if they think you're asking "too many" questions. It was obvious that Philip was a real expert in the Hyundai product line. Never once did he dodge any of my technical questions. He had 100% of the answers, 100% of the time!Next, I retuned with my wife three days later ( by appointment ) and Philip then spent two ( more ) hours with us both - reviewing for her many of the features of the car, and addressing some new questions I had. With no pressure, Philip made us a "fair offer" on a 2015 Sonata Limited lease, and ( with ZERO haggling ) we agreed on the terms that were in my opinion ( and I had priced three Hyundai dealers in Queens and Long Island ) fair and reasonable.Oh - about the car. The 2015 Sonata Limited with both the Tech package and the Ultra package. Well . . . WOW and AWESOME pretty much sums it up! This ( luxury ) mid size sedan, offers soooooo much value that it is ( in our opinion ) a "best in class" vehicle! And, I say that having done hours, and hours and hours of pre-purchase research. In fact, to get the "fully loaded' features and details that I got on our Sonata Limited, in the Toyota brand, we would have HAD to purchase a Toyota Avalon, with a base SMRP of $42,500.00 ! We got this fully loaded ( tech-tastic ) Sonata Limited for ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS . . . . . . . LESS than that number! Bite me, Toyota Camry ! Especially - Lee's Toyota of Queens, and Westbury Toyota of Long Island - where we "suffered' terrible consumer experiences, and were NOT treated with any degree of respect and dignity! Lee's and Westbury Toyota are both your typical ( manipulative, dishonest, sleazy ) automotive retailers! Enough said.We picked up our Sonata ( Philip had to get it for us from another Hyundai dealer ) a week later, and when it came to doing the paper work, there was NO high pressure sales pitch to buy extra stuff and add-ons! Yes, the leasing ( closer ) guy did "offer" a few more ( extra cost ) options to us, but when I declined, there was no pressure, and he remained cordial and polite throughout the process. Then, when we did the ( delivery ) check-list, run through . . . we encountered a few technical glitches with enabling my cell phone to ( interface ) with the car, via an ultra-cool technology called "android Auto". This was TOTALLY an issue with MY PHONE, and NOT the vehicle. Philip spent SEVERAL HOURS attempting to get it all to work together, and finally he was successful! All through that very tedious process, Philip remained patient and "determined" to find a solution to this very frustrating technical problem caused by Goggle's lack of ( adequately detailed ) instructions on setting up the Android Auto software. Many salesmen would have ( at that point ) said . . . "your phone - your problem, have a nice day, buddy"! NOT Philip. He spent HOURS ( with me ) searching for a solution. He was determined NOT to let us drive off the lot - without this feature, Android Auto - fully functional on both the car and my cell phone!To sum it up . . . if you want a "fair deal" delivered by guys who have ( real ) old-school integrity, and who will respect your intelligence throughout the process, then go to this dealer, and ( very important ) ask for Philip Robinson by name! Also I should mention that Zack ( their GM ) is also a really nice, honest and straightforward guy too! So . . . we encourage you to do your homework/research first ( like I did ), shop around and ( then ) come to THIS dealership to buy your Hyundai product from Philip Robinson! And by the way . . . We had agreed to the lease on a 2016 elantra gt, i was told the car came with a backup camera, it actually did not have one. They placed a very cheap looking device on top of the dash and said it was the backup camera. When I registered my disapproval with the sales manager Maniche he was not helpful at all and downright nasty. When I demanded my deposit back he said he was going to call the police and have me arrested. Eventually the general manager contacted me and was able to iron out the problem and I came back to lease the car. The salesperson Phil Robinson was also very helpful and honest, perhaps he should be the new sales manager. This is my fourth Hyundai and a steady customer should be treated alot better.

Bought a brand new 2015 Hyundai Sonata, and right away it started to give me some problems. Could be due to the fact that the car was sitting on the lot for almost a year. Took it to Star Hyundai for service, but unfortunately I had a horrible experience.First time I took the car in, they had it for two days and did not perform any work. No phone calls with updates, nothing. When I called 2 days later to find out what was happening with the car, the service adviser said that they would need to keep the car for longer and I could go to pick up a loaner. I arranged a way to get to the service center, and when I got there he changed the story rather quickly. In his defense, apparently, the 'corporate' wasn't approving the loaner and it was past 5 p.m. so no one was available to talk to.First of all, the corporate has nothing to do with giving out a loaner car. Then the service adviser tells me he doesn't want to be in the middle of it. What kind of response is that? I did not want to deal with it at that hour, hence asked for my car back for the weekend since it would just sit at their shop anyway. They gave the car back and asked me to take it back the following week when the parts arrive.Again, next week arrived but no one called to let me know that the parts came; I had to call again to inquire and make an appointment. This time I was promised for the work to be done on the same day since they had already done the diagnosis, and couldn't give me a loaner (for the second time). So, I believed his words and took the car in at 7 am. As promised, I was told that the car would be done by 3.30 pm. 4 o'clock came, no call, no update. When I called to see what was going on, they guy tells me the car isn't ready and that I should wait for his call. If someone promises you the car by 3.30, I think it is pretty fair to say that I should've gotten a call before or around that time to let me know that they wouldn't be able to keep the promised time. Instead the guy starts shouting at me, and tells me "the car is not ready, what you gonna do?" Is this a professional business or what? I have never experienced such horrible customer service and intimation by any customer service centered business before. I truly hope I never have to go back to this establishment ever again.

Overall Andrew Lee made this experience easy and instilled confidence in the purchase decision and process. The finance dept tried to "hurry" thru the paperwork but my questions slowed him to our pace. He accommodated every question. Still too many pieces of paper to sign and no time to read what is being signed. I am never satisfied with that process. This is a very IMPORTANT part of the purchase, actually it is the purchase. People are waiting outside the door and one feels "rushed" when one should feel calm and in charge. No reflection on Andrew as he was not part of this process, but did come in to observe how the process was proceeding.

I was shopping for a car for my Mom from across the country in CA. She is getting up there in years and I wanted to make sure she was not taken advantage of. I spoke with multiple dealers and it quickly became apparent that Zack Lintz and Andrew Lee at Star Hyundai not only had the best price but I felt they would take really good care of my Mom. To say that they took great care of my Mom is an understatement. They went the extra mile in picking her up at home and taking her to dealership, made the paperwork process simple and ez for my Mom, and walked her thru all the Car features. My mom was pleased beyond words and keeps telling me what a great son I am for helping her get a new car, thanks Zack and Andrew ! I do not normally write reviews but was so blown away by the service that Zack and Andrew provided I felt compelled to do so. I recently bought a foreign luxury automobile and there service was very good, but compared to Star Hyundai it paled. There is no one more important than my Mom and I was nervous if Zack and Andrew would live up to their sales pitch and promises that they would take good care of my Mom. People say lots of negative things about Car Dealers, but in my experience you just have to take the time to find the ones you can trust, the ones who are not selling you a car but listening to you and providing the solution you need. If you are in the market for a car go shop around but make sure that you stop by and talk to Zack and Andrew. I am sure you will be equally impressed. WORST EVER DEALER IN USED CARSI went to the Used CAR Showroom today to sell my New Accent which is only 7 months old. The Manager there Mr.John was the Worst kind of a person I have ever seen. When I quoted $13500 he treated me like a PAWN SHOP Owner telling me My CAR is not worth even $!0000. When I told him I had bought it for $20000 only 7 months ago, he informed me that they are giving some Rebate for New Cars and a New Car can be bough in $13500. When I told him that I did not get any rebate he was quick enough to correct himself that just now they are giving Rebates on NEW CARS. BEWARE OF HYUNDAI as they themselves are saying there is no RE-SALE VALUE FOR THESE CARS.So dear Friends if you need a NEW CAR for $13500 and do not bother about selling it in Future ( Just throw it as SCRAP) just visit the USED CAR Showroom and meet Mr.JOHN.When the Manager himself is talking silly I pity the subordinates !! God save people going the STAR HYUNDAI.

This is my first visit at Star Hyundai for Check Engine Light. Before making my visit, I had to change my appointment few times and every time I reschedule, Leah was exceptional help in finding me a spot convenient to me. Once I was at their workshop, Mechanic (sorry forgot the name) was nice and courteous in asking problem and nicely puts plastics on my seat before driving into the work area. By noon, I got call from Tia and gave me detail account of repair and cost. The following day, I went to get my car and it was in nice condition and no more check engine light. I can see that they have taken time and effort to vacuum & also put polish on tires. Although, cleaning and polishing tires weren't part of the repair job & cost, this only shows how professional and courteous this service station is. Thank you Star Hyundai Service team, from front desk to technicians, for upholding my trust with car repair experience. I would recommend everyone, with Hyundai cars, to visit this place once to feel yourself the experience of true customer oriented service.

My experience at Star Hyundai was very positive. Mr. Tommy Tong is a very honest and kind dealer. He is the man! He stepped me though the process and was very patient explaining all the intricacies during my first used car buying experience. Let me make one thing clear, i know very little about cars and financing. I was nervous and intimidated before stepping into the dealership but Tommy and the team at Star made me feel much more at ease. Mr. Tong did not force me to look at any vehicle beyond the one I went in to inquire about after seeing it on cars.com. He stepped me through my financing options and even helped me sign up for car insurance for the first time. And the used car (despite one tire that needs a bit more air) looks and preforms well thus far. I highly recommend doing business with Mr. Tommy Tong.

I leased a Hyundai Elantra from Star Hyundai in mid-November 2014. It is my first car, and therefore this was the first time that I experienced the leasing/buying process. It went much smoother than I expected. I worked with Roy Simpson to find the car I was looking for. I found the process to be very low pressure and very efficient. We looked at the Elantra and the Sonata, and I chose the Elantra. I'm very happy with my car; it is truly a pleasure to drive. Ask for PHIL..I walked in the dealership with questions about a 2015 Santa Fe which was not released yet. Other dealerships blew me off and tried to sell me a 2014 but Phil went on line and printed out the info that I wanted. He found us the exact car that we wanted (not that easy)- gave us a fair price for the new vehicle and my trade with no nonsense and we were off.The most impressive part was the delivery - he went over every detail of the car including setting up the on-line accounts and XM radio.i have no problems about recommending them..

These people play games! Before even walking into the dealership I spoke to the person over the phone Devica and explained my situation with details. Devica convinced me after so much talking and explaining to come in that they would work with me. After I come I'm sent from the new department to the used department. In the used department I met Deeana and my sales man. Went to the lot and explained what I wanted. After all I was back in the new department for a Veloster. I kept asking my sales person to have the manager do the appraisal on my Honda Civic Hybrid 2007. He came back setting examples like "If I gave you lets say 2800 there would be a balance left over from you're previous loan" I said that wouldn't be a problem because that can be applied into the new loan. He said "Banks don't do that anymore...blah blah. As if I'm stupid and this is the first dealership I came to. After so much back and forth they said they couldn't work with my credit unless I put money down. Over the phone I clearly stated 0 Down, Trade in value and 350 monthly payment tops.Filled out online credit application to make sure I wouldn't come in to waste much time but it ended being that way regardless. Manager tried to fool me around on how they calculate everything like I was stupid to believe that. This was a waste of 2 hours that I would've used to produce money. Inconsiderate about my time and the sales man time. You can't just keep bringing people in to waste their time. The worst dealership so far ! NOT RECOMMENDED! IF I COULD DO 0 STARS I WOULD!

Last week, I visited the Nissan and Toyota dealerships that were just a few blocks away from this Hyundai dealership and when I got home and went over what I could get for the same money that the Toyota/Scion XB would have cost me (my last car was the Scion XB which is now $2000 more than it was 2/12 years ago) or a little more than the Nissan Versa would have cost, it was a no brainer for me to decide on the Hyundai Elantra. This car has an overall 5 star rating, is sleek looking, gas efficient (31 mpg projected; I got an average of 24mpg with the XB)) and very comfortable. And, better than the price, if that's possible, was the service. I can't speak for all the salesmen but the one I randomly got, Mark Stechel, was fantastic... knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, easy to talk to and a down to earth guy. If you should go there, don't depend on random luck; be sure to ask for Mark. I want to stress that I never met Mark, or even knew of him, before last week when I walked into the dealership.

Roy Simpson understands the importance and integrity of sealing a deal with a handshake! He didn't try to swindle us with hidden fees, and the entire staff treated us with the utmost respect. A class act. Star Hyundai of Bayside is 's for sure, and when my lease is up, I'll be back to upgrade from my fully loaded 2015 Sonata ;White w/ Taupe leather interior, moonroof, All the bells and whistles, to a Genesis. I walked away a very happy customer! Okay only thing I would change is the decor, mabye set upndividers between veach representatives desk, tiny bit bigger show room..... but the warm customer service outweighs the esthetics 10 fold.

I spent three days going back and forth with Jarred the Manager and worked out a deal for my trade, and 2012 Sonata for my wife. My wife and I walked in with cash in hand, ready to drive home with the car. When we walked in, Al told us he had bad news, that the manager no longer worked for them, and all the numbers he did the previous day could not be found. A new manager John, started today and was going to take over. He asked if we were putting money down, I said yes, and he said he would be right back with my trade in number. He comes back and offers me $9000k, for my 2008 Chevy tahoe LTZ. This truck beat up with high miles is going through manheim (auction) for 16,500. Are you kidding me! If this guy Johnn is a manager, he either just started or is ripping me off. What do you think? Exactly, I told my wife get up we are leaving and left. Folks I was in the car business for while years ago, as a manager. I'm telling you run from this place.

My wife and i were shopping for our first new car together, and we we visited this dealer first on a list of 3 potential dealers. We were helped almost immediately upon entering the showroom, but without it coming across as overbearing, by Ray, who was fantastic throughout our whole buying experience. We took our preferred car out for a test drive, and we knew straight away that this was the car we wanted. Once we got back to the dealership, we started the discussions about our options. Everyone we dealt with, from the salesman, to the finance person to the customer service people who called during the week to update us on our applications process, were professional, courteous and understanding of all of our needs and concerns. We were never made to feel uncomfortable, there was no pressure to sign on the dotted line, even right up to the last moment Ray was very understanding and kept saying that even if we don't do a deal, we could shake hands and still be friends. But sign we did, and we purchased our first car as husband and wife. Unfortunately the Belmont Stakes were on on the day we signed, and initially the dealer thought that we wouldn't be able to get our car that day as it was in their secondary lot. However, only a couple of hours after returning home we received a call saying that they had managed to get the car for us and that we could come and get it. Ray even phoned to offer to pick us up! All in all we couldn't have been more pleased with our service, and would thoroughly recommend anyone looking for a place to buy/lease a car to go visit Star Hyundai of Bayside. You won't be disappointed, we certainly weren't!

I brought my vehicle for service because of a noise it was making. They explained that there would be a service fee for looking at the car IF they were able to diagnose the problem and we did not have the repair done at their station. After 24 hours they were unable to find the reason for the noise and had no diagnosis to give me. I was told I still had to pay the fee even though no diagnosis was given. I was given no choice but to pay the fee of $115.41 for them doing absolutely nothing to my vehicle and for them to release it back to me. This station should be ashamed of themselves for not being able to diagnose a simple noise and also for charging me for not doing any work or identifying the problem as agreed. I have written receipt from the service department stating that they were unable to diagnose problem.

This dealership (and my salesman Roy) was the only dealer I visited that didn't try to pressure, trick, or fast-talk my way into a purchase. They simply gave me honest, straightforward, respectful treatment at a great price. It took all of 15 mins for me to know this was where I wanted to buy my car, and visiting more dealers made me more sure. I am not sure why this dealer only has 30 something reviews at this time, versus the others I see in the area. I've visited the other dealers, and this is going to be only one I go back for my next purchase.

I shopped up to 10 different Hyundais the end of 2013, and I have to say Star Hyundai had the best business practices. They quoted us a price and stuck to it. They said it was already their best price and that they really could not budge, which I respect. They were willing to also offer oil changes. I worked with Roy who seemed honest and cool to work with. Zack his boss/manager is our kind of guy too. They really didnt play games with us. We were going to buy our Hyundai from them but I ended up getting the exact car I wanted for $1500 less. But honestly if you can afford to pay slightly more you should buy from Star Hyundai if you want a hassle-free and stress-free buying process, which I did have with their competition. Kudos to the Roy and Zack. Please keep up these practices, it will pay off. If I buy Hyundai again, I hope these guys will be there.

On 1/11/14 called about a Mitsubishi at 3:30 pm. Since it was late on a Saturday. It was decided with Deana to meet sunday 1/12 at 11 am to look at. She advised car would be ready to look at. Got there sunday met by salesman Tommy who started laughing along with the other salesmen, he advised car sold prior evening at 7 pm. When we asked how come no one called or advised since it was an appointment they all started laughing.

Although the process of purchasing a car takes a long time, we were offered food and drink while we waited. There was even a waiting area with a movie playing. Just had the pleasure of purchasing a 2013 Sonata from an exceptional sales person named Roy Simpson at Star Hyundai in Bayside. Roy was a true gem to deal with. Went to the dealership and was immediately offered two different models to test drive. Loved the turbo and inquired about price. No high pressure sales tactics or beating around the bush for hours. Roy treated me so fairly that I agreed to buy the very same day- something I had never done before. We had shopped around for a few weeks looking at Hyundai and others makes. The wife had decided on the Hyundai Elantra. The dealer in New Rochelle had said that they were offering us the lowest price possible. I had called a Hyundai dealer in LIC and I was told they would beat the price by 100 dollars. I was on my way to them when I saw Star Hyundai, So we stopped in and they beat both prices by 200. The salesman Tommy was excellent and I appreciated the follow up calls after the purchase. I would recommend Star Hyundai but also recommend that you get pricing from other dealers prior.

Star Hyundai was really helpful, especially the the representative that I worked with (Andrew Lee). This was my first time leasing a car, and the whole process went really smoothly. He answered all my questions, including all the silly ones. He was very patient with me while I was leasing the car. 23 years old and my first time buying a car. Couldn't have picked a better place to shop. Went to countless dealerships and was pressured by each and every one of the salesman I've met; made me very uncomfortable. Came to this dealership and met with Roy Simpson who is not only knowledgeable, but an overall great salesman. He answered every conceivable question I had about the car I had in mind and explained every detail clearly. He was very accommodating with the parameters I set, was very patient, and never once rushed me in to anything without making sure I knew exactly what was going on. I went to Star Hyundai of Bayside to trade in my Honda Civic for a new 2013 Santa Fe Sport. The salesman Tommy Tong was very helpful in negotiating a great price for my trade-in. The entire sale hinged on the trade-in and the customer service of the salesperson, so Tommy did not disappoint. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and honest. After receiving the car the next day, he went through the entire car with me and my wife. He wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied with our new Santa Fe Sport. He even called me a few days later for a follow up to see if I had any issues with the vehicle. He even told me if I had any issues with the vehicle, I should not hesitate to contact him. I was kinda taken back because I do not recall receiving this much attention when I bought my Honda from a more well known dealership. Have been looking for a car for a while. My friend lost her car to Hurricane Sandy, and I took her to several dealerships. My car was damaged during Hurricane Irene, but driveable. The people at Star are very friendly and knowledgeable. We worked with Roy Simpson, and the man has the patience of a saint. I ask many many questions, and he answered them all. Both my friend and I bought Elantras, and at a good price. My friend was armed with Consumer Digest printouts, Edmonds sheets, plus she knows her way around a engine. She was pleased at the purchase prices. The only downside was the finance guy. Him I did not like. Not personable, which is ok, but explained things poorly as far as I was concerned.I would recommend this dealership and Roy.

I had been researching SUV for several months and decided on trying out the Santa Fe. After meeting Andrew Lee and taking the car for a test drive, I was sold. He was extremely informative regarding the car and Hyundai's warranties and products, friendly, not aggressive at all, took very good care of my father and I and explained everything thoroughly. Both theses guys were truly a pleasure to do business with. Andrew Lee breaks the stereotype of your typical "car sales person". I found him to be both non aggressive/ non pushy and extremely knowledgeable about the product that he sells. I didn't have to much interaction with Zack while i was negotiating the price of the vehicle , which i have to say i found rather refreshing. After going to all those dealerships and experiencing the saleman/manager high pressure "tag team" i appreciated the fact that the manager allowed the salesman to do his job with minimal interference. These guys really take the "stress" out of buying a car. I had several dealings with Zack after the purchase of the car and he was extremely accommodating to my needs. I have no doubt should i have any future concerns or issues with my car that i can call him and he will resolve them to the best of his abilities without hesitation. The finance manager was also quite pleasant and non aggressive when explaining my extended warranty options. Bottom line ? i am the ultimate shopper and i am both very comfortable with the price that i paid for my car and the service that i believe i will receive in the future. My advise is to do your homework, but before you purchase anywhere else, give these guys a shot. I can assure you , you wont regret it, Happy hunting Rich.

I had been to over seven dealerships to find the car that i wanted for the best price and and i found it at Star Hyundai. I thought my salesman "Mr Andrew Lee" was simply terrific and very knowledgeable about the product that he sells. I was not pressured in the least which as we all know isn't exactly a very pleasant experience. If you want a non aggressive / non pushy salesperson than deal with Andrew Lee. He's not your typical "car salesman " I had very little interaction from the dealerships manager while negotiating a price, i have to say that i found that rather refreshing , the whole "tag team" sales pressure approach was gets rather tiresome and i found it to be a rather unpleasant experience. I had a few dealings with "Zack " the manager after closing the deal and i found him to be very accommodating and pleasant to deal with . I have no doubt i will receive excellent service from him in the future should i need it. I felt extremely comfortable at this dealership with the sales staff as well as the finance manager whom was also somewhat non aggressive while explaining my optional purchases of extended warranties. I felt very comfortable with the purchase price of this vehicle and as i said i went to over seven different dealerships in the tri-state area . Yes, i admit that i might have gone a bit overboard, but i saved a lot , and i mean A LOT of money by doing so, My advice to you is do your homework, shop around, and before you make a purchase elsewhere you should positively give these guys a shot.Happy hunting Rich

I've been eyeing the Elantra for quite some time now. I knew it would be mine at some point, just didn't know when. I've been to another Hyundai dealership in Long Island a few months prior, that just didn't go as well as I would've liked. As a first-time car buyer, I didn't know what to expect, but at least some good customer service. Not so much. After much pressure and daily voicemails trying to get me to come back and purchase the vehicle, I realized I wasn't ready. So, a few months passed now and a promotion came about. I thought maybe I should look into it again, but I refused to go back to that dealer after the last experience I had. So, after reading a couple reviews of some local dealers, I decided to get out there and check it out for myself. Star Hyundai in Bayside was close by, so I went to check it out. It was a great experience through and through. Jun Park was my salesperson. He was very welcoming from the beginning. He was extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. That was a plus. He made sure I was comfortable with the terms before I purchased. I really wanted to make sure I could handle another expense, given my credit history. So, I decided to go home and think about it. There was no pressure at all. Jun was very understanding. So, I gave it some thought and decided it was time. Later that week, I went back to the dealer and met with Jun again. He discussed the whole process with me. I left my down payment and returned the next morning to pick up my new ride. I am now the proud owner of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra! Thanks to Jun Park who made it a hassle-free experience.

A month ago I purchased a BMW X5 from Star Hyundai, I had Jun Park helping me which was a cool sales man. I was interested on the X5 everything was cool. Okay ended up buying the X5 from them. Now having an issue with the SUV I called an spoke to Jun Park and he told me that I needed to speak to the manager which is a stupid and irresponsible I was told you have 90 days if something happens with the SUV canal me we will help you. Well that's not true i called him with a problem and the first thing the Manager told me was well is amused car we can't do anything this is a Hyundai dealer not a BMW dealer you will have to take it to BMW dealer and have them take a look at it at your cost. Listen if you are a Hyundai dealer way are you selling BMW stupid. DON'T buy from this people they are the worst dealership ever. I would not recommend anyone.

Roy Simpson was my car salesman. He has been most kind and caring. I have bought 5 cars from him and each and every time the same level of care has been there. My husband and I were 1st time new car buyers. We researched what kind of car we wanted, new exactly what we could afford and did not want to go over that. We had a bad experience at another dearlership and was just about to give up for the time being on a new car. My husband was more persisted than I and went to Star Hyndai in Bayside. From the moment he walked in the door he felt like he was in a totally different atmosphere then the dearlership before. Andrew Lee Salesmen and the Zachary Lintz General Manager were wonderful. This is the second and last place i went to in search of a used car. Roy (the salesman) was very easy to talk to and he made me feel comfortable throughout the purchase. I never felt like I was obligated in any way to buy and he made sure I knew all of the charges upfront. The finance manager also did a great job at outlining all of the added services included in the purchase price of the vehicle and walked me through all of my options before I was asked to sign any paper work. would highly recommend this dealership if you're looking for a new or used car!

After a very bad experience at another dealership, I went to Star Hyundai thinking it would be a long day. However Andrew Lee was extremely friendly, honest, courteous and professional since the beginning. Guiding me every step of the way, he helped me find the car I wanted and four hours later I was out the door with a brand-new car (an Elantra) and a sense that I had been treated fairly. This was the best experience of leasing a vehicle that I have had. This was the fifth vehicle that I have leased (first Hyundai) and I must say that Philip was extremely professional and patient. From the minute my wife and I walked into the Star Hyundai until the minute we drove off of the lot with our new Sonata, Phil was courteous and refreshingly direct without the BS. Went in there looking for a used Infinti and found it to be exactly what it looked like in the picture and exact same price listed on the their website. I spoke with one exceptional associate named Phillip. This guy is the GUY! Made me feel like I was talkng to an old friend or a family member. He was very straight forward and explained everything in detail. Now the waiting part......we were there from 11 to around 5pm. Many of the finance guys were busy doing other things but still. Good experience. Initial issue with original car sold by other salesman on my salesman's day off but I was well compensated and taken care of big time in the end by the manager of the dealership and their finance guy. My salesman made me feel important and had everything ready for me on the day I picked up my car and was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience and I left happy which was all that mattered.

I send a internet request to this dealer for a price. Than I recived several emails from mary-jo who told me I was getting the best price and when I asked her about saving matches. I was told to call someone named Zak.She sent me email at 6:59 and said she was leaving at 7 and said she would get back to me the next day. I told her I did not want to call anyone because I wanted to buy car over internet. She emailed me the next day telling me that there is no such thing as savings matches. Well maybe mary-jo and her manager Zak should go to Hyundais web sight and find it on there own. I sent in a request for a price on a Elantra with MSRP of $18,805.00 and wanted to know any discount they offer and wanted total cash price that I could buy car for. I sent this request thru Hyundais web sight. I get a auot responce from a TOYOTAZAKataol.com....really TOYOTA??Than in about 12 hours I get email from Mary Jo.... ARE YOU STILL INTERESTED? So I eamil her tell her I never got a price and she emails me back saying it was a auto responce. No Mary Jo auto responce was from TOYOTAZAK. Than she mails me asking if I am leasing or financing car. So she never look at my request for cash price.Than I get email and she says price starts at $19,235.00. Again she has no idea what she is doing MSRP of car I wanted was $18,805.00 and when I question her why $400.00 more she says car has mats and mud gards. So I email her back and tell he mats and mud gards cost less than $200.00 so what is she talking about and she says she has to talk to her manager and she must mean TOYOTAZAK. I than get email tell me price of car is $18,805.00 and total is $20,778.94 and that there are no rebates. So they are telling me they are not discounting car. I email her back and tell her that there is a program thru Hyundai with Hyundais Motozum program and I can get up to $500.00 from it. So after 13 emails from Mary Jo and 1 from TOYOTAZAK I am going to find a dealer that knows what they are doing since Mary Jo and Zak do not have any idea what they are doing.

After working with a salesman I spoke to Zak a know it all manager. after getting sale price I was told by finance manager (who does not even have a bussiness card) that I had to buy warrentee to get price and financing.WHAT A LIE.STAY A WAY. IN BRIEF: I was looking for an Elantra GLS in Sept 2011. The car was in demand, so it was slow going until I had the good fortune to reply to an e-mail from Victor Dong, of Star Hyundai, whom I found to be refreshingly straightforward. On the phone, he quoted a very good, no-haggle price for a car he expected in roughly a month. I met him the next day and accepted the offer, leaving a refundable deposit. He listed the exact value of all other closing costs and maintained regular phone contact until the car arrived--in less than 3 weeks. The deal was closed during the 4th week. I had an unstressful and surprisingly enjoyable car-buying experience with Victor at Star Hyundai. IN DETAIL: After internet research and test drives, I started to seek quotes for an Elantra GLS automatic (without the $600 preferred options) in Sept. '11, using websites (consumer reports/zag, yahoo, cars.com, edmunds), e-mails to dealers, and showroom visits. Bad timing. The guaranteed zag quotes were attractive--$500 below invoice--but ultimately useless because Elantras--esp. in simple trim--were so scarce (great reviews; shortage of Japanese cars post-Fukushima) they were being reserved by buyers before delivery to dealers (typical during sept-oct accr. to edmunds forum Hyundai Elantra prices paid and buying experience). The dealer e-mails I received were mostly pre-scripted, evaded the request for a quote, and just tried to get you into the showroom, visits to which were, to be polite, a waste of time.In contrast, I received one refreshingly plain English e-mail reply from a sales rep, Victor Dong, of Star Hyundai. On the phone, he explained that several GLS models were expected by the dealership in roughly a month--albeit equipped with the preferred package and auto-dimmable mirror, options I hadnt originally sought. He made a simple no-haggle offer: $500 below MSRP. I met him the next day, accepted the offer, and left a $500 refundable deposit. He also listed the exact values of all other final costs (tax, registration, documentation). I found Victor highly personable, and direct. He predicted the cars arrival in 3-6 weeks, during which he courteously updated me with regular phone calls (it arrived in only 19 days). The deal closing went smoothly and with no surprises. Vadim let me know how few car features were actually covered for a full 5 years by the 5-yr limited warranty; nonetheless, I didnt buy an $1800 platinum protection plan to cover those features for 10 yrs. Was this a good deal? Yes, for two reasons: (1) objectively, the price I paid was comparable to or better than recent local sales [Edmunds true market value = $555 below MSRP; US News what others paid = $25 below MSRP; the US News estimate was higher mainly by a $182 regional advertising fee that edmunds didnt include]; (2) subjectively, because I found no better price elsewhere, and because of saved time and avoided stress.

I highly recommend Star Hyundai. The staff is very friendly, fair, and honest. After visiting other dealerships and contacting some online, those qualities seem to be in short supply. When I met Zack Lintz, I was a bit tired of some of the nonsense I was getting from the other dealerships I visited or contacted online. I researched prices for the 2011 Elantra at the time and I knew what a fair price was and what a very generous price was. So, the first thing I said to Zack was that I've gone to a couple of other dealerships, test drove the car I want, and now all I'm looking for is to buy the car from an honest dealership at a fair price. He not only gave me a very generous price but took it a step further. He asked me if I had a trade-in. I didnt even mention it because it was 17 years old, had a bad coolant leak from the timing chain cover and was in bad shape. I checked the trade in value and it wasn't even listed because of the condition it was in. When he asked me if I had a trade-in I told him that he wouldn't want it. He said he wanted to know about it anyway. So, I told him the condition it was in and that I knew it wasn't worth anything. He said it was OK, and then gave me an additional $300 off an already very generous price. On top of that, Zack is a real friendly and personable guy. Philip Robinson is an amazingly friendly and helpful sales representative. When I went to pick up my car, he took his time going over the features of the car and answered my questions. He stayed in touch with me to see how things were going with the car and emailed me a couple of times just to see how things were. He also gave me his cell number and personal email in case I wanted to get in touch with him. I just took my car in for an oil change at the service center in Flushing and I saw Philip there. He came over to me as I was leaving and remembered who I was. The last time he saw me was April 2011; here it is five months later and he comes over to see how I was doing. You just don't find too many sales representatives that take the time just to see how their customers are doing. During our conversation, I told him about a couple of small chips I had on my hood from some rocks that hit it when I was driving several weeks ago. I tried to touch them up with a touch-up pen, but the color didn't match well. All I planned on asking him was if he could send me another touch-up pen. He took a look at the hood of my car and said he was heading over to the dealership and asked me if I wanted to meet him there so his guys could take a look at it. I wasn't expecting that at all. Philip really cares about his customers and I'm telling you, he's really an easy person to get along with.I brought my car to the dealership and one of the guys really took his time fixing up those small chips. He saw a couple of other very small chips down below the grill that I didn't even see, and he touched those up as well.This dealership is a no-brainer if you're looking to buy a Hyundai. You're going to be very lucky if you can find a team like this at another dealership. I highly recommend that you visit them before you buy from another dealership.

I spent weeks shopping at various Hyundai dealerships in the area. The two that are clearly at the top in sales and representation are Star and Nemet. Nemet unfortunately lags far behind. The service you get at Star is incredible -- alternatively, Nemet staff can be rude and dishonest. I am the happy owner of a new car in a rare color/trim combination because Star did everything they could for me. Star Hyundai is HIGHLY recommended. Sam, Zach, and Maneet are absolutely the best.I HIGHLY recommend this place.

In trying to get a 2012 Elantra, was working with a dealer who didn't have one in stock and was trying to swap with a 2nd dealer in order to get one in. When it looked like he wouldn't be able to do it by the time I needed the car, he referred me to the 2nd dealer, which turned out to be Star Hyundai, and assured me that the terms of sale we agreed to would hold. I called Star and Roy called me back promptly. Everything was as agreed and Roy was diligent in getting everything in place for the sale and in answering all of my questions. No hassles, no hidden charges, everything went smoothly and Roy was pleasant to deal with. I'm rating the price as "good" because Elantras are in such high demand right now that it's impossible to negotiate lower than the MSRP, but no complaints. Based on my experience, I would recommend Star Hyundai and Roy to a friend.

I never thought buying a new car could be such a pleasurable experience. Over the past 10 years I've bought 8 new cars for myself and family members, and each time I left the dealerships feeling as though I had been lied to, cheated and generally screwed. Then I found Star Hyundai. In December of 2010, I sent an internet inquiry to Star Hyundai for pricing on a new Sonata. I was immediately contacted by Victor Dong. I explained that my inquiry was just to find out about pricing and that I had an aversion to buying a new car in the winter. I told him I would contact him again in the spring. He was fine with that and did not keep calling me. In April, I called him and told him that due to a change in my financial status, I would have to postpone the purchase indefinately. He totally understood, and told me to call him when I was ready. In August I contacted him again to set up an appointment. When I got to the dealership, he was ready for me with all the information I wanted. I had researched the car and knew what price I was willing to pay. I was expecting to haggle on the price, but much to my surprise, the first price he gave me was lower than what I expected. Even with all the questions I kept asking, at no time did he make me feel as if I was bothering him. Even my daughter who was with me agreed that this entire meeting felt more like a visit with a friend. I ordered the car on the spot. Since I ordered a 2012 model, I was told it would 2 - 3 weeks before the car came in. At no time did Victor try to talk me into taking a car he had in stock. He knew exactly what I wanted and he got it for me. Everything Victor promised, he delivered, and the car even came in after only one week. Needless to say, I have and will recommend Star Hyundai to anyone who will listen. My sincerest thanks and gratitude to Star Hyundai and especially Victor Dong for making this car buying experience such an absolute pleasure.

I have leased at least 12 vehicles in the past 20 years. From numerous dealerships in the Queens, Nassau & Suffolk Counties. By far the best experience Ive ever had, has been with Star Hyundai. My salesperson was Phillip Robinson. He was friendly, knowledgeable and HONEST!!! My past experiences with other dealerships had me prepared for the "bait and switch", the "shell game" the "catch" or the "this deals almost done, you just have to sitdown with our leasing agent" moment. At Star Hyundai those moments never came. Everything was upfront. I got a much better deal than I could of hoped for. The manager Sam was also very helpful. Bought a 2008 Azera at Star Hyundai on 7/25/11. From the first contact with Steve Dyer via email to the time I drove away in the Azera my experience was nothing but pleasant. A complete no pressure environment. Took a long test drive with Jun who explained the car in great detail along the way. After we returned it took no more than 20 minutes to get a great offer on my trade as well as agree on a fantastic price for the Azera. Jun was a professional the whole time, treated me like a valued customer. I felt like he was really working to help me make a good deal. Of course I understand that the dealer needs to make money on a sale but I couldn't be more satisfied with the price on my end. Vadim in the finance department tried his best to sell me on an extended warranty however I declined. He did so in a manner that should make the dealership proud, no pressure, just laid out my options in a clear and concise fashion. I would recommend anyone in the market for a new or used Hyundai to shop at Star Hyundai before they go anywhere else. You will not be disappointed. Jun even offered me lunch as we waited for the paperwork to be completed. First rate all the way. Thanks Star Hyundai!

A pleasure to do business with. I see why they get 5 stars. They were worth the extra driving (1 1/2 hrs. from our home). Gave us a great deal, great trade-in price for our van and never made us feel like we were groveling. Would use again and would recommend.

Appreciated the "no run around" feeling of this dealership. They were honest, courteous and professional. I had gotten an internet quote from their representative....that was by far the lowest and best quote compared to all the other dealerships that i had visited. They even reduced their price more. I had my car within no time. Very happy with it and the personal attention that they still continue to show. I would and have reccommended this dealership already.

We have been shopping for a new car for a few weeks. We visited several dealers in our area and were turned off by their high pressure sales techniques. One dealer even had its sales people dragging people off the street to check out their cars. At Star Hyundai we were treated courteously, asked what our specific needs were and were shown a Sonata that met out needs exactly. We asked for their best price on the vehicle and the price given was acceptable without a hassle. All the benefits of the car were explained to us as well as the operation. Our salesman, Tom Tang, was very knowledgeable and saw us through the entire purchase process from the first hello to a waive good-bye as we drove our new Hyundai Sonata off the lot and on our way home.

I thought that Star Hyundai was a fantastic dealership. The minute i walk in it felt like family. I already told a lot of people about the dealership and I only had my car for a week. The workers there made you feel like you were very important and no question was stupid.

I must say this was a smooth transition. Everyone worked hard to make sure I got the best car and price for me.I went in on a Thursday and drove out on Saturday in my new Elantra Limited...Great experience and I will recommend then every chance I can.

I have had my eye on the 2011 Sonata since November 2010 when I was first came into the showroom to look at it first hand. Unfortunately it took forever for my refi on my house so I could purchase a new car and then the winter came along and with all the snow storms we experienced since December I decided there was no way I was driving around in a new car. Victor my salesman was very patient with me and I finally drove my new car off the lot yesterday (Please don't snow). I enjoyed my experience at Star and found Victor very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I am looking out my window now at my brand new Sonata sitting in my driveway and can't believe the day has finally come. I look forward to enjoying this car for years to come. After terrible experiences in both Hyundai of Valley Stream and Atlantic Hyundai my husband and I had just about given up hope of purchasing the car that we desired, a 2011 Sonata Limited. Luckily for both of us I am much more stubborn than my husband and submitted an inquiry on Star's website to search their inventory. My inquiry was promptly met with a friendly response from Steve Dyer, the internet manager. Not only was it not an automatically generated response stating yes or no...it was actually personal! I briefly informed Steve of what I was looking for and the fact that I was quite discouraged after the way we were treated in the other 2 dealerships. We corresponded briefly through email but I was still hesitant after my prior experiences. When we walked in and met with Steve he quickly began to put me at ease. He was extremely professional and courteous. Not only that he was very patient with my growing indecisions as I was purchasing my first ever new car. Other dealers we had been to tried to play games by only telling us the price of our monthly payment and never revealing total cost...we never had to question any of that with Steve and when all was said and done I walked away with an even better model of the car that I really wanted for less than what the other dealers where trying to rip me off for. What truly made me value his service is the fact that he is not even a salesperson!!!! Every person I encountered in that dealership was amazing and my experience there made the other 2 awful ones seem worthwhile b/c in the long run I stood my ground and got what I wanted, and more, by visiting Star. I have already recommended them to friends and family looking for a new car and would strongly suggest you do the same!

I HAD VISITED ONE OTHER DEALERSHIP IN VALLEY STREAM AND WAS TREATED HORRIBLY. THEY HAD A VEHICLE ADVERTISED THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN(THEY WERE NOT THE LOWEST PRICE IN THE PAPER BUT A LOCAL DEALER OF MINE)WHEN I GOT THERE I WASNT GREETED AND WHEN FINALLY I ASKED TO BE HELPED I GOT THE RUN AROUND ABOUT THE CAR AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY SOLD OUT OF ADVERTISED CARS BUT THEY HAD OTHERS AT SIMILAR SAVINGS(VERY ORIGINAL)MIND YOU THAT WHILE WAITING FOR A SALESMAN I COUNTED 4 ON THE LOT WITH THE MATCHING MSRP..ANYWAY INSTEAD OF ARGUING ABOUT A CAR THAT I WOULDNT HAVE BOUGHT AT ANY PRICE FROM THEM.. I WENT TO STAR HYUNDAI WHERE THEY HAD THE CAR I WANTED FOR LESS THAN VALLEY STREAMS AD PRICE. THE SALESPERSON WAS POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THE MGMT STAFF WAS COURTEOUS AND CONSIDERATE OF MY TIME..A GREAT EXPERIENCE OVERALL.
