Thanks to Dustin (we have now worked with him twice!) we were able to turn in our previous Subaru lease early, outside of lease conditions (dealer buyout) without any having to suffer with lease agreement penalties (which I had exped would happen -- due to exceeded mileage, and a fairly dented driver's side door). Dustin went above and beyond to get us into a new lease with a very fair monthly rate. The whole experience was beyond our expectations! Thanks Dustin!!!

I had been to several dealerships to test drive small SUVs and had an opportunity to experience various sales technique. This was my first visit to a Subaru dealer and I am glad Brian was available to answer my questions. He is so knowledgeable about the vehicles and was interested in what is important to me when buying. There was lots of information shared but no pressure, which I greatly appreciated. I was able to think things over and when I was ready to make the purchase, Brian responded quickly to my e-mails and I bought my Forester on the 2nd visit. The whole process was a breeze!

I was in the market for an Outback and was looking for great deals in the area. I've had service done with Suburban Subaru so I checked out their inventory.Rick Morris, who's relatively new there, was the sales person who handled my inquiry. They had great deals going on during the Memorial Day weekend. His honesty and assistance convinced me that I wanted to get my car here. After we sealed the deal, Rick walked me through the features and called me later to make sure I was happy with my car (and I am!). Definitely would buy from him and Suburban Subaru again.

My salesman, Rick Moore, was friendly and personable. I didn't feel a high-pressured sales pitch, which I like. I left a Toyota dealership because of the high pressure tactics. I did my homework on line, so I knew what vehicle I wanted. I was able to get a good price on my trade in and was able to get a new Outback 3 days after I walked in the first time.

I have been purchasing cars for nearly 30 years. I have the purchase of my 2016 Subaru outback was probably the poorest car purchase experience that I have ever had.1)The Finance discussion felt more like a high pressure timeshare condo sales pitch. We were repeatedly offered multiple Maintenance & Warranty Options even though we continually stated we did not want any. It took over an hour to escape the sales office after declining the extras.2)After this ordeal, we were told that our name had been spelled incorrectly on the documents, so we had to wait for new ones to be printed and sign all over again.3)A week or so after the purchase I was called by the finance manager letting me know that we had missed several places that required my signature. This was yet another error and he asked me to drive in to the dealership to re-sign. 4)The finance manager did end up sending a driver to my home to sign the documents which I appreciated. However, the driver then notified me of yet another error with the title. Apparently the wrong lien holder address was placed on the title and I will need to mail it back to the dealership so that a new/corrected title can be sent.5) upon receiving the incorrect Title, I contacted the Sales Manager for further guidance but have not yet received a response.I will never do business at Suburban Subaru and will discourage my friends and Family from doing so as well.

By all accounts, Subaru makes a quality product. This was substantiated by my test drive of eight competing makes. The Forester won hands down. In my view when you buy/lease a vehicle you also buy the dealership. I had a lot of questions for our sales consultant Michael Guido. Michael proved there is a big difference between a consultant and a salesperson. Michael was patient and professional. I never felt pressured. He said he wanted our business and backed it up with his actions. I will be recommending Michael and Suburban Subaru.

Came in a few weeks ago with hopes of leasing a new Forester, while we ultimately had to pass for financial reasons I wanted to write a review because everything about the experience here was great When/If the time comes again I will happily come back. This was my first time experiencing the full dealership treatment and Leon was absolutely wonderful and kind (Thank you for that and I'm sorry we had to pass!). I Paid a visit to Suburban to take a look at a 2016 crosstrek. They didn't have the one I thought I wanted, but Dustin Ciccarelli had a beautiful red one that blew me away. Two weeks ago, my son, Pete and I went looking at used cars for him. He had narrowed down his choice to a handful of nameplates, and I encouraged him to look into Subaru first. We met Michael Guido, who listened carefully to the parameters Peter set out - price, size, his driving style, etc.Mike made a few suggestions, and the one that really lit my son up was a 2013 Crosstrek in HIS favorite shade of blue. As soon as he drove it off the lot onto Maplelawn, I knew he was hooked. There was no need to test drive any other vehicles.Mike worked hard to find appropriate financing for my son, suggestion several options, and was very helpful in getting Pete everything he needed to close the deal and be happy with his new car. At no time did Mike apply any pressure, was not pushy nor was he impatient.I've owned two Subarus over the years, but am currently leasing another nameplate. I'm thinking of flipping to an Outback, and I know right where I'll go. I recommend Mike and Suburban Subaru highly!

We got our 2011 Subaru here because they were better than Dunning and Glasman in terms of friendliness and fairness..I would say they went out their way and so did I (we are from ypsi). Now I'm thinking about buying another outback for my wife and giving the old one to my son. I recently learned about the VIP program for AAAS members--2% below invoice, no haggle required! Does Suburban participate? ..I'm hoping they say yes.

My wife and I have had a "Five Star" experience working with Brian on our last three Subaru leases; two Cross-Treks, and our latest, 2016 Outback. Brian is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I bought a certified used 2012 Subaru Legacy from them on 1/14/16 we agreed on a price and signed the paper work. They realized after everything was signed they had messed up on the plate fee and said they would eat the difference. That night they dropped the price of the car down below what I payed on their website, I thought oh well I screwed up but at least i got a $95 of the difference. About a week later I get a call saying I need to come in and pay $95. Multiple calls from this place. Will Never Ever do business with one of the Suburban dealersUpdate: Received a call on my voice mail from the general manager saying they owed me an apology. The sales person called later saying I do not owe the money.

I received a lease pull-ahead offer in the mail on a Monday and drove off in a new Subaru Impreza Hatchback on a Tuesday. Brian Plauman was the sales associate who assisted me. He was courteous and professional. I was in & out of the dealership in two hours. I traded in my Outback, as I no longer needed a larger vehicle and am now saving $50 a month. My husband and I went to "look" at the Subaru Forester and the Outback. We intended to buy a new vehicle that week and we were torn between a few makes/models. Michael introduced himself as we walked in the showroom and did an excellent job from that moment on in explaining the different features, pros/cons etc. between the two models. He quickly pulled up vehicles for us to drive and compare, never pressured, was knowledgeable and funny too! We bought an Outback that day ( my husband never does this!) This was my first time purchasing a car on my own. I came to Suburban after leaving another Subaru dealership feeling disappointed and discouraged. Suburban was different from the beginning. Mike Guido had a "can do" attitude with just about every curve ball I threw at him. From the moment I started talking to him, I felt at ease and much more confident about the entire process. He assured me that I would be able to get a Subaru. Feeling like someone was on my side was really I wanted. Little did I know, I would be driving home in my Subaru that night!! I would HIGHLY recommend going to this dealership, if you are even just considering a new or used vehicle. I knew from the beginning that I wanted my next car to be a Subaru, I just didn't know where I would be getting it from. Now, I know that I will purchase all future cars from Suburban of Troy. I purchased a car from Mike Guido at Suburban Subaru in Troy this week. I had a great experience. Mike was enjoyable to talk to, funny and friendly, and also knew the cars very well. He was willing to find me the exact car I wanted, color, package, etc., even though it meant he had to search for it and bring it in from another dealer. This is more than I can say for the Volvo dealership down the street, where I was informed that I could only buy the cars they had on the lot (very few), and that they were not willing to trade because it cost them money. Hmmm, I thought I was the customer! In any case, we chose Subaru instead and I got exactly what I wanted at a great price. They threw in a couple of extras (leather protection, etc) for free, and made the experience a very positive one all around. Thanks!

Brian Plauman was superb in handling my lease of 2016 Outback. The lease terms he presented were over $80 per month less than a nearby competing dealer. The trade in value offered me was spot on. He searched other dealer inventories to locate and obtain the Exact vehicle my wife wanted. He acted quickly and at alll times was available to complete our transaction in less than a week. He is a US Navy veteran with 2 deployments to Iraq and as a Marine Vietnam veteran I was privileged to work with him!!!

This is what brought me back to Suburban after visiting other dealerships. Leon let the car sell itself by pointing out the excellent safety features, as well as other features I loved in my previous Forester. This was my 8th car purchasing experience and my first experience buying a high end "luxury" vehicle. From start to finish this was the most pleasant buying experience I have had with a local dealership. I called Brian with my budget and a vague idea of what I thought I wanted. He listened to the things I believe to be important to me in a new vehicle and went above and beyond to find the right car for. Even when it meant getting me in a car that was in an affiliate dealership down the street. At the end of the sales process he went over the different warranty options and what I felt was important to invest in. I trusted his opinion and went with the wheel and tire protection plan and thankfully I did. With Michigan pot holes I had a blown tire and the insurance worked great to cover the repair and new rim. I came in and told Brian what I wanted. He did a search, found the car I was looking for, and gave me a fair price (below every other dealership I had checked with, which were several). When I made the decision to purchase the car the vehicle I was interested in was no longer available, however they found another vehicle I was also happy with, got the vehicle delivered to the dealership promptly, and had it ready for me to drive off the lot in no time. All in all one of the best experiences I've ever had purchasing a car. I appreciated that they were straightforward and honest throughout the process. Treated my wife and I like we were stupid and didn't want to investigate our issue with fuel economy, a consistent decrease from 30mpg new to 23mpg at 11,000 miles. Took a 10 minute discussion about driving habits, fuel quality and gas addatives (their proposed solution) before they'd add it to the repair order. Then of course the answer was "no trouble found."A $75 oil change did not include them resetting the service reminder.A broken, slide in cup holder piece took a second dealer visit and half an hour for a 5 second job.We will never return to this dealership.

I just came from the dealership. I had to go back after I took the car for a routine inspection a few weeks ago and it still showed a warning on the console. I called the service office 5 days ago and on October 6 too, and left voicemails, none of which were followed up. Why did I have to waste so much time to go back to the dealership to have this fixed? The only helpful guy was Leonard, in the parts dept. (I got a new key to the car while I was there). I did voice my complaints to Bill Anger while he was processing the paperwork for my visit, but he barely looked at me cause he was busy typing on his keyboard and talking on the phone at the same time. By the way he was also the one who did the reset in my car. Shouldn't a technician be doing that? I have no complaints about the vehicle itself, I love it!! I also vas very satisfired with the way I was treated when in the process of buying the car. But I just wish I could say the same about the service experience...

I called in to inquire about Subaru Impreza and talked to Brett Johnson. Everything was good at the beginning and so I set up an appointment to do a test drive before buying one. Brett assured me that they will make an arrangement so we have a car to test drive this Saturday and that we will be meeting with Dustin Ciccarelli when we come in. So when we came in, my husband and I looked for Dustin and told him the same details I told Brett over the phone, that we're interested in the impreza and ready to buy one. The initial discussion was good though he seemed to be in a hurry to finish the discussion (he told us that they were understaffed that morning) and so I asked about test driving. He told us that there's no car available for us to test drive. I was utterly disappointed that they couldn't honor what they promised us. I could have done all the discussions over the phone but we drove for more than an hour because I was told that there's a car to test drive. Dustin seemed to make a last minute arrangement, he asked his colleague if there's a car available, but I didn't see the sincerity in his actions. He eventually told us again that there's no car for us to test drive. So we decided to leave so not to further waste our time.

When I came to Tory Suburban Subaru, to say the least, I was in a bind. My only vehicle at the time was barely drivable and in the process of a total loss, and I needed a new vehicle ASAP. When I'd opened communications with the dealership, I knew which model/trim package I wanted and the corresponding options. Needless to say, my needs were very specific, and the Troy dealership did not have this exact model/color/options in stock. However, the sales rep(Artur) was quick to search local dealers and was very accommodating through this purchase process while maintaining a great standard of professionalism (despite the fact that I was undeniably difficult and impatient at times). I was in the market to replace a lease vehicle. I am a prior Subaru owner (gave my 2005 Forester to my son) and I decided to purchase a 2014 Subaru Forester. Knowing that getting this car in the current climate (winding down 2014 production and on lot availability almost nil, I contacted Suburban Subaru, which was the dealer I purchased from in the past, to get an auto quote. My sales person, Katie Toelle was knowledgeable, easy to talk with and authentic in her desire to provide me with the trim level and options of interest at the best value. She provided me with a proposed quote on a car. I then emailed 5 other Subaru dealers with my requirements for the Forester. Of all the responses I received (some of the dealers didn't respond), Katie provided the best value. She then proceeded to find a Premium Forester with the options I desired. It took her 9 days, but she did it. And when a kerfuffle arose around a few of the options, she and manager Dana Tidwell made it right. I can't say enough about these folks. I would highly recommend Suburban Subaru because Katie and Dana will take care of you.

Well I bought my first Subaru here. a 2014 Forester XT. As far as the car is, it's great. The dealership experience was actually REALLY amazing. While it was probably a one off, but the GM coming by and actually congratulating me on my purchase? That's a nice touch.Dustin Ciccarelli was my salesman and he had a great balance with sales and practicality. He had the car ready for testing and... with this last winter and the polar vortex, even came out to help me setup the car seats for fit testing. He's very helpful and very knowledgeable about the products and his objectiveness about which to go on really did help when choosing between the outback and forester.well that and he could see i reaaallly wanted that turbo.I've had my first service there and while yes, the Service Manager is gruff, totally understandable. (I've been a wrench through college and I know how it can be dealing with unplanned customer requests all day). Christine though helped me when I brought my car in and was extremely helpful as well. The service waiting area is nice. They have *fast* wifi and have a kid's play area. Not much, but it helps with toddlers. Nice seats too with pull out trays. Great for -Burger King- getting work done.

The lease on my 2010 Imprezza was up so I extended it a few months to decide if I wanted to get a 2013 0r 2014 . My last experience with a Metro Subaru dealer was very negative so I went in search online for another dealer. I live north of Port Huron so the nearest dealer is 60-70 miles away. My intention wasn't to purchase a vehicle as I was having my 2011 Legacy serviced. As I was waiting, I started looking at Outbacks and was curious as to their differences from the Legacy. Well, after takiing a test drive in a 2014 Outback, I was pleasantly surprised with the vehicle. I initially spoke with Dustin about the vehicle, and also spoke with Dana as well about the Outback. Long story short, I ended up with a 2013 Limited Outback. I left the Dealership thinking it was a fair deal and that is what I had hoped to achieve as I don't know all of the factors that are included on the Dealership's side with rebates and how moneys are shifted around and such, but seeing it was a lease, I'm comfortable with the outcome and more than likely I will return to the Dealership again in the future.

My husband and I were very pleased with our experience at Suburban Subaru. We weren't sure what we wanted when we first walked into the dealership, but Art was very patient with us. He was able to answer all of our questions without being condescending (which I have encountered previously when buying a car). We never felt any pressure from Art to make a purchase. We highly recommend Art and Suburban Subaru to anyone looking for a car and we will be back for future purchases.

I was in need of a new car in a hurry, several people had suggested that I look at a Subaru since I travel around the state, sometimes on back country dirt roads. I also drive 60 miles to and from work daily. So I was in the market for a sturdy car with great gas mileage.I went to Suburban Subaru, Katie greeted me as I walked in the door. I explained what I needed and she suggested the Outback. This is the perfect vehicle for me. It's a reliable car with all the "bells and whistles". It is rugged and attractive at the same time.Katie was very helpful and knowledgable about the car. Many people have complimented me on my new Outback, I always suggest that they visit Katie at Suburban Subaru.

In short, be ready for the worst surprises and don't believe what they quote? Dana/Stacey was knowledgeable and nice, but I didn't find her after my first visit. Last word, look into other options.

Jeff in service was great. Will go back to the service dept ONLYBut NO sales person approached me as I was looking at new cars in the showroom...there were 4 of them and NO eye contact, didn't even speak!!! You NEVER have to worry about me spending my money here to purchase a new car. I will going back to Glassman where the customer service was AWESOME

We bought a new2013 Subaru Outback for Suburban Subaru in Troy , MI..the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was strictly limited till we bought the car. Starting the very next day - all of the staff were suddenly non contactable...inspite of multiple voicemails - which were not returned. We were to be given the number plate the next day and after all the struggle and calling up everyone from the manager to the staff we ultimately picked up the plate 9 days after the car delivery. In summary the worst car buying experience we have had ever...am glad it is over and we won t have to go back to this dealer again...for the car servicing we will pick up another subaru dealer. Won t recommend this dealer to anyone else thinking of buying a Subaru.

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS --- SALES ORIGINALLY WAS GREAT. POOR AND UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE WHO CHANGES THEIR STORY AFTER KEEPING YOUR VEHICLE FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK LONGER THAN NECESSARY. THEY'RE UNWILLING TO EVEN WORK WITH SUBARU OF AMERICA!- I purchased a 2008 STI with a Gold Plus 70,000 mile extended warranty that cost an additional $2,305 up front. - I also spent another $695 on your road hazard tire and wheel protection plan. - I took possession of my vehicle on 12/04/2008 and my first payment was not until 3/18/2009- On 3/22/2012, I brought my STI in for its 30K mile scheduled maintenance. I told Jeff my brakes were making grinding noises on the front passenger side. He ran my warranty info and told me my 3 year warranty was up, expiring in December 4th, 2011. I didn't realize that at the time because the dealership deferred my payments until 3/18/2011 which 3 years later I thought was my purchase date. I do understand even with this logic I would be 4 days late on warranty. I was also well under the 36k miles. I didn't realize the 3 years was so important because when I purchased the car the financial advisor sold me on this Gold Plus 70k 6 year warranty and how it is so comprehensive. I understand I should have read all the fine print . - I tried to work with the service department, specifically Jeff, and explain the situation. I agreed only to paying the $700 for the 30K maintenance and Jeff would then call me to tell me what the additional costs would be for my brakes which had just recently begun to go bad.- My wife, mother and I were in the same day for service on my mother's vehicle and her service was 100% covered under warranty. As we were leaving the service area, where we were just informed that her car passed their inspection and was "in the green", I was not yet in the vehicle and noticed her tail light was out. Jeff's shift was almost over and Christine was called over to take my mother's car back to service to fix the tail light while we stood outside and waited. - During my time at the dealership on 3/22, I asked Jeff if he had an estimate on my car yet and he did not.- On Friday 3/23/2012, when Jeff called to give me the prices, he informed me that my front rotors and pads were bad and that my voltage was low on my battery. He quoted me a price of $1900 for the brakes only. - I told him I'd call SOA [Subaru of America] to see if they would help me out and get back to him.- I spoke with Grant at SOA who called Jeff to try and work something out for me. They were more than willing to assist me due to the fact I have been keeping up on the Subaru regular maintenance. - When Grant called me back, he said that the dealership was unwilling to work with him, but SOA was willing to offer me a $500 courtesy check if I got my brakes fixed through Subaru. He told me due to the fact that the dealership was unwilling to work with SOA I would have to pay for the service in full and then they would sent me the check. During this conversation, Grant also said that Jeff had hurried him off the phone saying they were probably busy that day. - I told Jeff I'd be taking my car elsewhere for brake service and to only do the $700 maintenance we had initially agreed upon. - At 4:31 on 3/23, Jeff called to inform me that my car was done and I could pick it up before 6:00pm when the service center closed.- Due to the late time of the call, it was not feasible for me to get my car on 3/23. I checked the website hours [http://www.suburbansubarutroy.com/service/index.htm] which states that the service department is open on Saturday until 3:00 - I drove from Sterling Heights to your service center in Troy this morning only to find out it was closed.- On 3/24, after traveling to the closed service department, I explained the situation to the sales department and they convinced me to leave my car with them and they'd call me Monday afternoon with a solution. Today is Wednesday and I still don't have a car. They've been saying all week that they'll work with me to get it covered. They have now had my car for 5 extra days and now all the sudden, it is contigent upon my mom purchasing a vehicle for me to receive any sort of compensation / credit toward any repairs I may choose to do there.

I had a wonderful experience while getting my car. Alissa had a lot of interesting things to tell us about our car, and she got us really excited for it. She was very excited for us, and she was really upbeat and fun. She let us in on some secrets about the car, and she really made us feel welcome and prepared.

This was our first experience with new car purchase and it was great! Alissa answered a million of our questions, was very patient with us and passion about Subarus. We came just to check out new Forester and were driving back home in our own one. We've got the car we wanted with extras we wanted and nothing we did not want. Will highly recommend this dealership and Alissa.

Alissa and Stacy actually managed to make buying a new car fun! Alissa is a total Subaru geek and obviously loves her job. She is knowledgeable, credible and totally intent on good customer service. Even though the dealership is low on stock due to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, she worked to get me into a car that I wanted and could feel good about getting the best price on.Stacy took the time to listen to me about how I wanted to finance the car. She even devised a better overall payment plan by making some suggestions that saved me money and still allowed me to purchase the car on that day.Overall, I'd buy another car from this team in a heartbeat!

alissa worked very hard to find the vehicle I wanted. Within one year went back to her and now have TWO Subaru in my name. Can't give a better "thumbs-up" than to go back for a second vehicle in the driveway in less than a year. It was that easy!!

I have leased one Subaru and bought another one from Suburban Subaru in Troy, and Alissa Hubbarth was the sales person I worked with both times and I couldnt be any happier with the service I received from her. She made the process very easy and less scary than it is when you are buying your first car. She also helped me to see the difference between Subarus and the competition and wasnt biased. Alissa was honest and up front about everything that had to do with the process of buying the vehicle. She is also very knowledgeable about not only the vehicles, but also about what the Subaru brand stands for. I would highly recommend Alissa and this dealership if you are in the market for a new or used Subaru.

We have purchased 2 Outbacks from Alissa Hubbarth and HIGHLY recommend her. Our first experience was working w/her on a trade-in and purchase of an 09 Outback. She is a pleasure to deal with, extremely knowledgeable, professional and passionate about her products. Even after moving to northern Michigan, we returned to Troy to purchase our 2010 Outback from Alissa. New car buying experience as it should be! I can honestly say that this was by far my best car buying experience so far. Alissa is very friendly, warm, and honest. She possesses encyclopedic knowledge about the Subaru brand, the model line-up, and was able to answer our every question. She was also very helpful in making sure that we stay within our payment range while getting the features that we needed and wanted. At the end, we got a great pice on a 2011 Forester. At delivery, Alissa made sure to show us every feature of the car and even made sure that our bluetooth phones worked with the factory radio! She also introduced us to the friendly service staff and explained to us all of our warranty and service options.By far, this was our best new car buying experience and I have already been recommending Alissa and Suburban Subaru to my friends who are looking to for a new vehicle.

When you walk in the door you may be greeted, or you may not. That's generally the case. More often than not you'll be left to stand around wondering where someone is at to help you. I've been in several times for maintenance and to purchase a vehicle, and I stopped going when I figured out the trend of poor customer service and a lack of knowledge/organization. I asked several times two managers to explain the coverage on my vehicle, though I received two different answers and neither of which would put it on paper for my records. I'd stay away and make a drive to another dealership as it feels that something shady is going on here.

I really appreciated the open, friendly, and sincere qualities that suburban subaru had and all of the sales team, especially camie. As a first time buyer and new to the entire car buying experience I truly appreciated the (extra) time camie spent in not only explaining but teaching me the process and truly making me feel like a respected customer.

Cami was VERY helpful in my decision making between the Legacy and the Imprezza. She made every effort to make sure I was informed on my payment options and that I was happy with my decision. I chose the Legacy and the dealership was expecting a dark gray one in that week, however I had really fallen in love with the white. Cami personally drove to Ohio to trade another car the dealership had so that I cold get the white one she knew I really wanted. I cannot explain how happy I was to get a white Legacy but most of all that she had taken her time to drive back and forth to Ohio just for me! An overall great experience, I have already recommended her to a friend looking for a Forester.
