I bought a used Subaru here. It was a good experience all around. My salesman was John, very likable and no pressure. There was an issue with one of the rims after I took the car home. I contacted them through the chat feature on the website. They took care of it right away. The service department is great. Very clean garage. Nice people.

They cant keep service advisers to save their life! The ones they have now are horrible, you can tell they just want the quick buck. Nicole the adviser was a complete piece of work, very rude and uncaring, Jen the other adviser didn't listen to anything I was saying and just kept talking back to me. Gary the service manager and I use that term lightly, was a complete moron. I don't think he even knew where the heck he was at, he was so spaced out and kept grabbing his pant area. Totally gross! I have been a loyal customer for 15 years and no more, I simply cant take it anymore! Where are the adviser who cared about me and my car, who knew my car!!! From the early days of Brian and Fred to Bob to Mike and then to Elly I had always had exceptional service, what a disappointment they are all gone. Time to find a new dealer to take my vehicle. no more chances for Summit Toyota, and I WILL tell everyone I know not to go there!

I recently purchased a 2016 Highlander. This is the second Toyota we have purchased from Summit. We live in Cleveland and drive down to Akron for our car purchases due to the superior service and outstanding pricing (they consistently do better than any of the dealerships in the Cleveland area). My wife and I had been looking to replace our mini van with an AWD SUV and had driven several. We had not looked at the Toyota Highlander and made a trip to Summit Toyota to check one out. After test driving the Highlander, it was no contest on the comfort, ride quality and standard features the Highlander offered.Our Salesperson was a no pressure type of person, very knowledgeable and great to work with. Our second Toyota Camry we purchased but first time at this dealership. I was impressed how everyone was friendly, helpful and had a lot of patience with our endless questions. The entire staff is working as a team. We did not feel pressured at any point in the process. They had our best interest at hart. I would recommend this location to everyone. Our salesman Doug Ebie , and the finance manager Maria Cooper stand out. Very helpful and pleasant. Maria always have a joke...we left very happy after she took care of all the paperwork. They went above and beyond our expectations. We also purchased the rust proof and it was done in time, nice and clean. I will definitely return next year for a second purchase

My wife and I were looking for a used toyota highlander and we found one at Summit Toyota. I called and talked to Dave and after crunching some numbers realized a new vehicle was the best option. We e-mailed and called multiple times back and forth and he set up a time to meet. We found the perfect vehicle at 6:30 pm and had purchased it and went through financing by 9pm with a trade in. Dave went over all the options and vehicle functions in depth, even setting up our bluetooth. Toyota of Summit was very clean and had an awesome customer seating area to relax. I would highly reccommend Dave Datsko and Toyota of Summit to family and friends!!!! A++++ DAVE!!!!!

First off I would like to start off by saying that we knew we were walking in with a tougher situation. We explained everything up front to the financial manager Maria Copper, and the salesman Nick Boshara before even walking through the doors. We were told to come in anyway. They were very unprofessional. Very poor communication. Would ask us to come in and then not be there when we arrived. When we did sit and meet with them, Nick proceeded to tell us how much easier it was for him to do online deals so he didn't have to deal with the customers. They didn't even have the common courtesy to call and keep us informed on what was going on. We would make multiple phone calls and wouldn't receive a call back. They ran our credit Multiple times, on a couple different days without permission or even a phone call. Finally after 3 weeks of getting the run around we called to tell them we were coming to get our things and would be taking our business elsewhere. I absolutely would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

I recently purchased a new hybrid RAV 4. I had researched the vehicle fairly extensively but still had some questions about the hybrid system and the push button start. Tim Treadway was my sales person and this was the second car I had purchased from Tim. I made an appointment to test drive the car and ask my questions. Tim patiently explained what I wanted to know and clarified a few points not covered exactly correct in my research. He explained the safety back-up for the push button start because I had had a very bad experience several years ago with Nissan.We fairly quickly came to an agreement on price and started the paperwork so I could pick up the car the next morning.This was my second experience with Summit Toyoto and I have to commend their customer service orientation.

After shopping around at two other Toyota dealerships without being impressed with the salemen who were not knowledeable ( received conflicting information from the salesman and the information that was in the booklet on te Rav 4, so they did not know the basic information that they should have known from their own booklets)., or seemed to unenthusiastic about showing me the car I was interested in (telling me where they were located- not walking me to them), I thought I would try one more time, and gave Summit Toyota a try. I am soooo glad I did! First I looked on the internet to see if I could find any Rav4's that I wanted. I was surprised to have Shannon pop up on a chat screen to answer my questions, and narrow down what I was looking for. We went that afternoon to the dealership, and I was pleasantly surprised to see such a great inventory of the Rav 4.I walked in the door, and was greeted by Shannon who answered questions about our confusion of the interiors with the 4 different styles. She knew the information in that booklet! She circled the differences in packages, that somehow I had missed. We had come a little late in the afternoon, and did not realise that we were there past closing. Shannon was never mentioned to us that they were closing, allowed me time to talk with my husband about the car, and when I had not made up my mind, well after closing, she graciously accepted that I needed a night to think it over as my brain was on overload. I was planning on getting the Rav 4 SE, but Shannon said I should drive both the SE, and the Limited to compare the two rides. I had asked at another dealership what the difference was in therse two styles and the salesman said the options are almost the same, and the SE was the sport model, different grill, wheels. He never mention that the ride was different. I test drove the SE first, and thought it was great, but then I felt the difference driving the Limited, and knew it was the choice for me.I am so glad Shannon had me test drive both cars! She went over the differences in the cars, and options as we drove so I could see some of the really awsome technology and safety features. I found Shannon to be extremely knowledgeable about her cars, and that was very, very important to me. Her professional attitude, friendly patience, and helpful suggestions as to options, made her the best salesperson I have ever dealt with in my 40 years of buying cars. This was truely the best car shopping and buying experience I have ever had! I left confident in my choice of car, and a feeling that I had made all the right decisions with the help of Shannon presenting knowledgeable information, but not pushing a sale. Too often in the past I felt anxiety, and a sick, unhappy feeling that I wasn't really happy with my new car, or that I couldn't stand the salesman who was more eager about selling, and not being honest, or upfront about information or cost. I felt excited, happy , and well informed to make this the very first time I have actually felt comfortable and confident about the whole experience! I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone, and having dealt with Shannon over the last week, would highly recomend her as a salesperson, She calls back to follow up on any questions and has asked me to call if I have any. This is truely the best car shopping experience I have ever had!

Summit Toyota began our experience with introductions by the sales manager to the inventory manager Tim Treadway. We were treated with respect and understanding. There was no 'pressure' or arm twisting. Tim immediately offered us a car to test drive that met the specifications we had outlined. He was friendly yet very professional. Mr. Treadway discussed many options and various upgrades but accepted our decisions on each matter.We purchased a new Highlander, our fourth, and couldn't be more happy with the entire day. I was impressed with the convenience, staff, services, facilities and purchase experience with Summit. I have purchased 34 vehicles over time and the experience with Summit was the most favorable. The saleslady listened carefully to my needs and was genuinely interested in finding a vehicle to fill those my needs. . She worked to find the model and color vehicle that I wanted. The sales manager offered me exactly what I determined the value of my trade to be. I was most impressed with the warranty extension to 8 years. It indicates that Toyota does not expect any major problems with the Prius over that period. The operation of the rather complex vehicle was demonstrated to me. I met all the dealer administrators and the service representative. My 10 year old daughter, who accompanied me, was also impressed enough with the sales lady that she brought her flowers on our second visit to order the car. No wonder this dealership has received awards.

I went to Summit Toyota for the first time since I just moved to Akron from Illinois. I called ahead of time for a last minute appt on a Saturday of all days. Ganley, who is closer to me turned me away so I went on a limb and called Summit and I am so glad I did! The woman on the phone (Ellie) was very sweet and squeezed me right in. On arrival I pulled into the service dept and was instantly greeted by the woman named Ellie from the phone, she listened to all my concerns and showed an interest in everything I was saying! Very warm, friendly smile and really connected with me as a customer. I was shown the waiting room and was very pleased with the comfortable chairs and the fish tank. The adviser named Tom came out to me and privately discussed my car and the repairs needed, he really made it no pressure and did his best to accommodate my needs. I couldn't do the work at the time but I will certainly be back in! Ellie had told me in the lane it would be about 45 mins for my oil change and a little extra for a wash (something I greatly needed!) at 45 mins exactly Ellie came back out to me and told me my car was all done, wash included! She cashed me out and walked me out to my car, while holding every door for me. It was an exceptional all around experience with both Ellie and Tom. I was worried I would be there all day especially when I saw how busy they were but they both got me right in and out. The two of them are a great team and I will absolutely be back to service with them again!

I went to Summit Toyota the first part of November 2015 to Lease a vehicle and everything was great until they lost my application in the cloud. They didn't communicate with me and let me know what was going on. I knew that a payment wad due in December but it could not be retrieved in Toyota Finance system to pay it. I called Randy in finance at Summit Toyota several times and my sales person Dave and they were not very responsive. They were going to let my plates expire 45 days later without accommodating me until I went down there and they gave me dealer plates. The finance person said we will see if we can get your first payment waived for the inconvenience. So I drove around on dealer on plates with no communication from them again for 11 days. They finally had the plates transferred and of course this is now January and I had to call in to find this all out.. Randy now says Toyota cant waive a payment like it was impossible from the first place. I never asked for charity he made an unrealistic suggestion to appease a customer and it back fired. This has been a total nightmare from hell. They do not keep you informed if there is a problem. I put down $1500 of my hard earned money only to be treated like crap. I will never purchase or lease a car from them or recommend them to anyone. Everything is great as long as they are taking your money.

I test drove a 2013 Ford Escape Titanium Ecoboost in July 2015 and loved it. Nick Boshara was a sweetheart and an amazing salesperson. At that time, it was out of our price range so we had to pass. We were treated with respect and enjoyed our time there. One month passed and I finally had the time to go car shopping again and my fiance mentioned calling Toyota and seeing if they still had the Escape. I called and spoke with Shannon Swinehart and she was very persistent and trying to get me down to toyota (even offered a ride). I was unable to at the time and was going to try in couple days. The next day I get a voicemail from Shannon saying the car is being moved and if I want the car I have to come down there that day to see it/buy it etc. I was unable to so I said oh well and went about my business. Then, today I told my Fiance I wanted to go shopping again for a car. I called at about 12pm and asked if they had the car and Frank told me he would call me back and let me know. He did call back a few minutes later and said yes we have the car. We made an APPOINTMENT at 3pm to come see the car and talk. When we got there, there was no organization, we were barely greeted at all. Eventually we spoke to Shannon who was getting ready to leave for the day but said Nick would take care of us. We were taken to a room with Shannon and then she left to get us a carfax of the escape. Another man came in and told us that the car was being test driven and wouldn't be back for 45 minutes. 45 MINUTES FOR A TEST DRIVE? Asked if we could come back at 430pm. (1 hr, 30 minutes difference from our appointment time.) We made an appointment, you had 3 hours to get the car ready (which must not have been there in the first place). Was it at another dealership? And if it was why didn't you tell us? Were you trying to track it down to sell to us? And if the car was actually there and you really did have a test drive, test drives don't last 45 minutes. Anyway, we walked out. They never even called us. That was a $20-23k sale you lost.

I was prepared to not like the Prius. I barely fit in our Corolla and expected about the same. (We also have a Sienna van which I absolutely enjoy.) John Heslep understood immediately my concern - I'm 6'5". We went to a 2015 Prius V. I got in and "I was home," as they say. Great leg and head room ... but, I was still pondering. Once I looked at the cargo space and roomy rear seat area, all that was left was "where do I sign?" Took it for a drive, of course. What a pleasure vehicle to drive! I've driven it well over 100 miles in the first 48 hours and figured out a lot of the extras. Great Deal! Great Dealership! And, John made it all happen. Thanks, John!

I had a verbal contract with John Heslep on the car I was looking to purchase for a certain amount. He agreed that the amount was fine and checked with his manager. This verbal contract was made earlier this week and I informed him I was coming back today to have the car inspected by my mechanic before purchasing it. I paid $100 for the inspection and went back to the dealership to purchase the car. John informed me at that time the price of the car is $700 more then what his agreement with me was. He tried to cover up his original contract and barter a price with me. I told him no I wouldn't pay more then what we originally agreed, then excuses started to fly about the value of my trade in wasn't what he thought, etc, etc. I will never go back to Summit Toyota of Akron again because once you lie to customers that keep you in business, you can no longer be trusted as a reputable business!

Not sure about their service with their new cars, bought a used minivan from this dealer in April. They assured me that they have done an extensive 50 point inspection in the vehichle and that it was covered under 3,000 and 30 day warranty. Which turned out to be CRAP!! Took the van to my local dealer the next day and found the front engine mount was leaking and needed to be replaced along with the power steering pump had to be replaced as well. Called Summit Toyota and notified them. Used car manager said that he was too busy at the moment and will get back to me the next day and would let me know if it was covered under warranty... Guess what? Never got back to me. I called the dealership and left messages at the manager's desk phone and the sales person I bought the vehicle from, never got a call back, sent emails, Did not get a single reply!! Stay away from this place!!

I have purchased two Toyota's, a 2011 Toyota Tundra and 2011 Rav4. I am from out of state and needed to change my lease on the Rav4 to a purchase. The finance department stated they could not? do the paperwork to transfer the ownership on the vehicle out of state and recommended that I try to find a dealer in my home state that would 'do the deal'. ?? I called the dealership in my home state and they stated, 'We can't do the deal; its illegal.'? How do 2 dealerships not know not how to transfer ownership on a vehicle out of state? I have enjoyed our two Toyota's, but the dealerships are disappointing if you expect them to do something other than sell you a vehicle.

Just leased a new camry from this dealer and was impressed with the careful attention shown in the transaction by the salesman, John Heslep. He even came directly to my home on one of the coldest days of the year to charge a dead battery of the 2112 model that I was to deliver on that morning. After reviewing vehicles for a couple weeks, I narrowed my choices to a few vehicles at a few different dealerships. Unfortunately when I stopped at this dealership I was not assertive enough about my requirements and wants. The sales team was more interested in simply selling a vehicle than in helping me find a vehicle to meet my needs. I was shown vehicles that did not have the features I requested, and it quickly became obvious the sales associate working with me did not know the features of Toyota vehicles or the dealership's current stock of vehicles. He was friendly and clearly had sales skills (e.g., customer priming hacks such as regularly referred to the vehicle as "yours/your car" etc. before purchase), but he did not seem knowledgeable about the cars he was selling.As the interaction went on, I felt my concerns were ignored and I was told the vehicle had features it did not have. I can't explain why I just gave up and made the bad decision to purchase it. I wish I walked away. The following days when I looked at the vehicle more carefully, read reviews, and looked at the owner's manual I cried and cried. The car has poorly painted dings, scrapes, and a half-dollar sized dent in the bumper. It has stains on the seats and scrapes on the dashboard. The road noise is horrid; I can barely hear my child's voice in the back seat. When I contacted the dealership and raised concerns, the sales associate told me that I knew I was looking at the vehicle when it was dark, and I was told by the sales manager the paperwork cleared and the car was mine. Fortunately the sales manager conceded to my "dismay" by installing one of the main features I requested.This was a very stressful and depressing experience, and I made a very, very bad decision to purchase from Summit Toyota. I know I will take a financial hit when I trade this vehicle in, but I will try to find another vehicle as quickly as possible (not from Summit Toyota).

My son bought a used car with their 30 day 1,000 mile warranty. One week to the day the check engine light came on. He can't get the car titled because it won't pass E-check. A call to the dealership yielded an answer from the manager that he CAN sell cars that won't pass E-check and that their warranty wouldn't cover the necessary repair. It's not hard to reset an engine light and hope for the best...and I suspect that could have happened wether intentional or not.. I was upset that we were blown off and the managers attitude that he can sell cars that you can't title without YOU fixing it at your expense. Ohio case law seems to dispute the managers statement, especially where E-check is mandatory.. I would personally never buy a new or used car from these guys.

Just purchased a 2015 Prius from Summit, and without question it was the best car buying experience I have had. While exciting and fun on one hand buying a new car can be stressful when actually at the dealer. For this reason I took advantage of the TrueCar pricing that was available through Consumers Reports, to get quotes at a no haggle price . All quotes were within a few hundred dollars of each other, and well below MSRP. My variable was the value of my trade in, and what I could get for it. With my TrueCar quote in hand I met with Michael Hammonds at Summit. Mike was friendly, professional and we discussed the car I wanted and my trade in. In the end I received what I felt was an extremely good dollar amount for my trade in and better still a quote on the new car below the TrueCar quote. All the numbers I was presented with were beyond my own expectations making it a no-brainer. I signed the paperwork. Its only been a couple of days and I have already received follow-up emails from Mike. A first class operation!!!

We stopped in to try a Toyota as we promised ourselves that we would try four different types of cars before purchasing any. Prior to this visit my preference was the car at the pressured dealership. The atmosphere at Summit is so relaxed that I had a really great day trying several models and finding the perfect match in the 2015 Highllander. John Heslop and the entire Summit Team made this a very painless process. Our guestions were answered and when those led to more questions they were answered as well. As the end of the sales day approached we were never rushed but encouraged to ask questions they even made sure that we knew how to operate the most basic of functions as the technolgy envolved in a new car was something out of our realm. I just wanted to send a quick note to say KUDOS to Bob Wilson in the Service Dept. What should have been a routine 1 hour oil change somehow turned into 3, and basically spent the rest my workday there unexpectedly. After breaking a lug nut / stud off for the tire rotation Bob informed me they would be getting the repair ASAP at no additional charge. I have been at other service centers where they would no question charge for something like this and turn into a bigger headache than it already is. I appreciate Bobs courtesy and honesty while I had to wait so long and he made sure to credit me for the inconvenience. I have only been to Summit Toyota a handful of times so far but its employees like Bob that keep me coming back there. I always feel comfortable and trust everything to be done right and fair( and in my experience that hasnt always been the case at car dealers!) So credit is due where it is deserved. Also, before leaving I spoke with Mike Maloy about a possible trade in later and felt like it would be a great place to make a deal if they could find my next Tundra hopefully! Thanks again!

Tina's job was to make me feel comfortable and sell me a car but instead she was rude and I didn't not feel comfortable at all. She tried to put me in a car that I did not like at all, she never gave me a choice. She told me that I can purchase this 2011 Toyota Camry that the hub bearings were going out on or drive nothing at all. I left there and went to Toyota of Warren and purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry and was very happy. I will never purchase a car from Summit Toyota.

We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. We proceeded to then work with an experienced and professional salesperson, Tina Santucci, who listened to our needs and was able to secure a deal we were very comfortable with. From the man who held the door open, to the salesperson, finance/sales managers, and the owner, each person my family came into contact with was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Car shopping with two young children is never easy. Unlike the previous dealership we worked with, our children were acknowledged immediately and Tina did her best to speed up the deal before the kids got too antsy. It was a great experience from start to finish. We won't be returning to the previous dealership we frequented; we are now loyal customers of Summit Toyota of Akron.

My wife and I had visited a number of Toyota's competitors in the local area but when we met Bob Watterson at Summit Toyota we felt that we had found someone who really cared about what we wanted at a fair price. He listened to our wants and then went out and found the vehicle. He called us immediately and offered to take us on a test drive. He was well prepared and knew everything about the RAV4 we were considering. We emphasized to Bob that the price was going to be the deciding factor. He came back with $1000-$1500 more for our trade-in and still gave us a very fair price for the RAV4. We were extremely pleased because Bob really cared about our wants and did not just wish to sell us any vehicle. Her great customer service made our purchase decision even easier!! She was always so friendly and helpful. They had to locate the a vehicle that met our needs and Tina was good about calling us with updates. The financing also went really well. Jamie shopped around to get us the lowest rate available, even lower than our preapproved rate from our bank. I bought my last 2 Corolla's with Summit Toyota. I worked along with Bob and Scott both. Both great salesmen and very honest. There was a specific car I wanted and they went out of their way to find it for me. Not only did the find it for me but they drove to Pittsburgh to pick it up for me. They always greet you with a smile and call you constantly with updates on where they are in finding me the right car. And they made the finance process as easy as possible and worked with us to get us the payment we were comfortable with and we got to pick our due date. To be honest, I went in for my appointment expecting Mike to say that I needed to pay down on my car more before I could trade it in. I did not expect to walk out of there with a brand new Corolla for the same payment I had been making. But I did. And he didn't tell me I needed to pay it down. He assured me that we could figure something out. I was the best car dealership experience I have ever had. They aren't pushy and they provide you with the information you need to make a good decision. I was able to leave there feeling like I have a safe and reliable car. We originally went to Summit Toyota to get our old 1995 Corolla fixed, we'd taken it to numerous mechanics multiple times and nobody had been able to fix the issue. Summit Toyota was able to find what was wrong right away and fixed it promptly. Sadly, a few weeks later another part broke that was too expensive to fix. The mechanic at Summit Toyota told us that the it wasn't worth it to fix the car since the repairs would cost more than the car was worth rather than charging us an insane amount of money to fix the car anyway. After that everyone at Summit Toyota did everything they could to help us get a new car. They took both of our old Toyota's in trade; the non-working 1995 Corolla and our working but VERY old and VERY used 1996 Camry with 320,000 miles on it. They gave us an amazing amount of money for these two cars considering the fact that they would never be able to re-sell either of them. After that we worked with Scott Defabbo to purchase a used car from Summit Toyota. He helped was extremely patient with us; talked to numerous people in my family, presented us with all our options as we tried to figure out the best way to purchase a car. We ended up with a beautiful 2005 Corolla. Scott got us a loan for the car and helped us every step of the process. He was never pushy, never tried to talk us into a decision or steer us towards a certain car or price. We were never unsatisfied with his or anyone else's service at the dealership. My family has always driven Toyota cars, but this is by far the absolute best customer service we've ever received because the people at Summit Toyota went above and beyond to help us out when we ended up without a good car due to bad luck. We're absolutely happy with our new car and will definitely be returning to Summit Toyota for any future car purchasing or maintenance needs. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle, they're really a great place to go. And if you have a Toyota and need it serviced, this is the place to take it because you can trust the mechanics and you can trust that it will be in good hands and that they'll be honest with you.

Scott did a great job putting me in my ford I was amazed at how low the mileage was on their used vehicles and it was probably the quickest I have ever been in and out of a dealership with purchasing a vehicle although I was surprised that they didnt wash the car for delivery with the current bad ( snowy ) weather it was understandable the vehicle I purchased wasn't what I went in for but Scott went above and beyond to put me in the best car available to get me approved for my credit situation (bankruptcy pre discharge) so if you are looking to get into a car or truck and your credit is challenged you can't go wrong calling Scott Defabbo and Summit Toyota

Our experience at Summit of Toyota was the best we have ever had purchasing a vehicle. I originally contacted Summit of Toyota by email and within minutes received a reply and a follow up phone call from Scott Defabbo. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted and introduced to Scott. He was very helpful and professional as he showed us different trucks on the lot. It was literally a snow storm and Scott did not hesitate to bring vehicles around and clean them off for us. We traded a vehicle in and T.J. DiSanto (Manager) walked us through the entire trade-in process and how they valued our trade in. He didn't "disappear" like most dealership managers do. T.J. literally turned his computer monitor and showed me the software they use and explained how they value your trade in. It seems like at most dealerships, everything they do is top secret, but at Summit everything is out in the open. Everyone we dealt with, including other Sales members and Managers stopped either just say hello or even talk to us. There literally was no pressure. The buying process took place over a 3 day period and everything we asked for was given to us. My wife worked with Shannon last spring when she purchased a certified used Highlander (we needed a larger car for grandkids and their car seats). So, when I decided I needed something a little larger than my Lexus CT200, I stopped in to see what Toyota had to offer. Shannon worked with me, made a suggestion that I had not considered (an Avalon) and then worked to locate the color and model that I wanted. Negotiating a price was painless. I traded in the Lexus for what I wanted (based on Edmund and KBB evaluations) and acquired the Avalon hybrid for a very fair price. Just purchased an Avalon and considered it a great sales experience. I looked at cars for several months and visited lots of dealerships. I really enjoyed this dealership. Big "Al" was a great salesman. He was not pushy in any way. He was informative and friendly and let me take my time in making up my mind about the purchase without any pressure. When it came time to deal he seemed upfront and presented a good deal without the need for a lot of haggling. The manager was equally friendly and again did not seem to need to play any games during the sales process. I made the decision to purchase the car, agreed to a price over the phone after having looked at the car twice and two days later picked up a beautiful new car. No one wasted my time at the dealership trying to sell me extra products I did not need. Everyone was friendly. I would highly recommend this dealership for a new car purchase.

We had looked for a Jep Wrangler for my daughter for several months. We saw the listing with Summit and placed and inquiry. Shannon returned our e-mail inquiry the same day and answered all of our questions. We drove from Columbus to Akron and were impressed with the vehilce and price. We had a couple questions about the vehicle which were quickly answered. Shannon stayed late on a Saturday evening (past closing) while we finalized our discussions and we purchased the Jeep. To me, that is a bit surprising because we could have chosen from about 50 comparable Jeeps in the Columbus market, but chose to drive 100 miles to buy this one. Why? Becuase I really felt Summit was the most responsive, offered the best price, and wanted to work with us.

we were going to buy a car at the chevy dealer across the street. We picked out exactly what we wanted from cars.com but i saw the large summit toyota sign and thought i would drive past the chevy dealer and see what was on their lot. We saw a few small suv's. i went in and talked to Rodney Patterson and told him i wanted my wife to sit in three vehicles. The RAV 4 fit her perfectly. It seems Toyota makes a vehicle that will fit larger people better than any we have tested. After the test drive she was excited and said she did not even want to see the car at the other dealer. Dealing with Mr. Patterson was a pleasure. i do not like going to dealers or buying cars. He was not a high pressure salesman and respected my boundaries. He just wanted to help.Also in closing the deal ( we paid the price they wanted which was much better than other similar cars on cars.com) they surprised us with great financing through Toyota and some other nice things like free oil changes, towing.i got the warranty also. on the internet they say do not buy a warranty from a dealer so i was really prepared to say NO NO NO. but after it was explained and i saw the price it was a no brainer really. We never had a RAV 4 on the radar and never had Summit on the radar either. It was a pleasant surprise and really great normal people.

My wife and I arrived at the dealership with a few ideas about the type of car we wanted. Jason helped refine those ideas. He was helpful and knowledgeable but he wasn't pushy. He suggested different options to consider and we evaluated the ideas he presented. All-in-all I think we reached a good informed decision that we may not have reached if Jason had not helped us. Now that we have purchased a Toyota Camry, we may be in the market for 2014 Toyota Siena LE sometime in May . I felt that Jason helped us get a good car.

The dealership was great. The only complaint is waiting so long for all of the paperwork to be done. I didn't realize all of the paperwork that had to be done. All of the employees we talked to were very nice. They were all helpful and kind, something you don't see at every dealership. I would say that everyone seemed to have a great team spirit and work ethic. Mr. Patterson stepped forward and took care of us right away. He was very patient and explaining everything. He also made sure we understood the various terms of leasing. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

I must say I was beyond please with the customer service displayed by this dealership. I normally made my purchases through JD Buyrider and decided to go with Summit Toyota instead which turned out to be my best choice yet. I made a total of 4 purchases from the other guys and came here for my very first purchase of a 2007 Ford Fusion and was treated better than any past experience elsewhere. Jeff took great care of me, these guys are the real deal and I would recommend them to anybody.

Talk about a time crunch...My husbands old "beater" truck (1993 Ford) died Friday night for the multiple and final time. It was time to pass my 2006 corolla onto my husband, and purchase another reliable Toyota for myself. We had approx. a 36 hour window to work with! We headed down to Summit Toyota in Akron and worked with Scott Defabbo. Besides the time crunch we also had some monetary guidelines that we really needed to stick to... and we did not have time to be steered in the wrong direction. Scott not only accommodated our needs, but within a short 4 hour period we were on our way home with a brand new 2014 Corolla and we had an offer on our truck from a reliable colleague to be bought for scrap metal, something we never thought possible!. The experience was superior- we met the owner of Summit Toyota, all of the employees and all of the service members. Scott not only worked quickly and efficiently, but he was able to take us on multiple test drives. Although due to our circumstances we had absolutely no time to be picky, but Scott was even willing to honor my favorite color request (a beautiful white car)- by having a service member wash off all of the sale stickers (since it was the last model in that color) for over two hours. Scott only steered us in the right direction. He calmed our nerves, made sure our payments were not over our heads and even offered us refreshments to enjoy during the process. With all of this being said, Scott still made time for his other Clients that had arrived to see him that day. We now love our new vehicle and we will be sending EVERYONE to Scott Defabbo at Summit Toyota in Akron. Hello, I contacted 2 other local dealers along wtih Summit Toyota on a mission to secure a new/newer vehicle within a 48 hour period.I had been dumping alot of money into my current vehicle (which I still owed a balance on) and just felt that it was time to get a dependable low mile vehicle. After talking to these 3 local dealers and spending approx. 10 mins on the phone with each of them going over my finances, situation, expectations and realistic goans to be in another vehicle within 48 hours. I felt that the most qualified, knowledgeable and very honest sales rep was Mr Rodney Patterson. He stated give him the basics on my info. and finances and within 2 hrs he called me back and said we are working on it, give me 2 more hours. Witihin 4 hrs. he said we have a few financial institutions that are willing to help you. He was diligent in his follow up and continued to keep me informed on the process. They assured me of the reliablility that stood behind the Toyota namebrand and the customer loyalty. They worked hard to get me through the process even with a low credit score.In the end the process that started with a frustrating ride to work at 8am on a Monday morning, ended with a very pleased new customer for Summit Toyota who by 8pm that evening was driving home in a new car with only 8,000 miles on it, got the best value I could on my trade in, financiing all done, signed, keys and most of all Peace of Mind. With a "less that stellar" credit rating, Stephen was extremely helpful and respectful of me to get the best deal possible for a good used car. Far and away, this dealer went out of their way to help me through the grueling process of buying a used car without having to resort to working with the "alternative" bad credit dealers that prey upon their victims. They "held my hand" through the entire process and showed the utmost courtesy and friendliness when I was in a very "low" spot. They are a breath of fresh air and blow the stereotype out of the water of what most people believe are "snake oil" salesmen. That couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to Mr. Robbins. I also was given the courtesy to "try out" the vehicle for an entire weekend prior to deciding on the final purchase. That trust factor was most appreciated there. When I ultimately decided on the purchase, the financing process went smoothly even though it was a mountain of paperwork. After a month, I coudnt be more pleased with the performance of my vehicle.

I received a pre-approval in the mail regarding the dealership's current sale. I spoke with Shannon by phone and advised that I would be happy to look, but I had to leave to work in 2 hours. Shannon greeted me with a smile and bubbling personality. The entire staff was pleasant and eager to assist from the moment I walked through the door. We went to Summit Toyota to look at the Sienna XLE MInivan. We had already test driven a 2014 Honda Odyssey, and were leaning towards purchasing the Odyssey. Rod Patterson at Summit Toyota did his homework before we came in and showed us the differences between the Sienna and Odyssey. We were very pleased with all the time he took with us, explaining the advantages of the Sienna. We currently own both a Honda and a Toyota, and after test driving the Sienna we decided to make our purchase at Summit Toyota. All of the staff bent over backwards to make the deal go smoothly and to make sure we had everything we needed - since it was dinnertime Rod even offered to have someone go out and pick us up dinner. I was looking for a RAV4. Tim Treadway was my sales professional and I found him to be professional, low key, personable, to the point and knowledgeable. I was surprised how quickly we agreed on price. When I picked up my car the next day, all paperwork was ready (Tim Treadway, Lad Kraemer and Garret Bentley). Each person reviewed their information thoroughly without the pressure to make a quick decision. I was so surprised that Tim had already had the side moldings and mud flaps installed. He explained everything about the paper work very well, introduced me to the people in the service and parts department, set up my appoitment for my first oil change, contacted my insurance company, put gas in the car, made sure the car was washed/cleaned, set up my blue tooth and showed me how to operate the vehical. I appreciated the fact that Summit Toyota had a great deal of respect for me and my time. I was not in the dealership for hours getting paperwork signed. They paid attention to the details but were able to get me in and out within about two hours. I would definitely go back and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a car.

My husband and I came in on Memorial Day. My car "died" on the previous Friday. Shannon S. took me for two test drives. I cannot say enough about her friendliness and desire to get me a good deal. We left that evening, after making an appointment with Brett (as Shannon would not be working when we were available to come back. Shannon went out of her way to apologize and make sure that we would be taken care of.) We came on Tuesday evening, Brett asked Steve Robbins to help us. Brett is the bomb. I appreciated his desire to please the customers. Steve was VERY willing to help us. Steve conferred with Brett and made a great deal on a Toyota Camry. Garrett was also helpful, and got us some great rates. I really cannot say how fortunate the management of Summit Toyota is to have such a great team, ESPECIALLY THE PERSONS I HAVE MENTIONED BY NAME. If I were their supervisors, I would do whatever it took to keep them as employees. Even salespersons that were not working with us were nice. I was especially impressed that these people were willing to work so late to accommodate us. Even when we mentioned about the late time, we were told that it was ok. Steve said to us several times that we should not worry about the time. He smiled and said, "If I had a quarter for every time I worked late, I would be rich!" I appreciated his sense of humor at such a late hour. We signed papers around 10 pm, and Garrett made us laugh and feel comfortable during the process. He even talked to my granddaughter about an ice cream cone when she got antsy. That is a little thing, I know, but it showed me that even at 10 pm Garrett was not willing to hurry us out of there. I drove the Camry today and am super pleased with it. I will recommend Summit Toyota, and have already done so, to others. I take care of an MS patient, and met her at Summa Outpatient Pain Center today. The valet staff all ooooed and ahhed about the car. (And since I did not pay them I figure they meant it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Checked with 4 dealerships before purchasing and Some of my experiences were horrendous. However, I should have stopped after my visit to the second dealer; SUMMIT TOYOTA. If you can find a better deal or friendlier atmosphere, you mist be in Heaven.I have never met such friendly, low pressure sales people who just seem so happy to be doing what they are doing. Went In looking for a Rav4 and was very specific as to what I wanted. A day later, after two poor experiences at other locations, I went back to Summit. They remembered what I wanted and were all set to find it for me when I told them I had changed my mind as to color. NO PROBLEM! They had exactly what I wanted and we closed the deal. No muss, no fuss, just a great experience. If you are looking for a new Toyota, save yourself some time and go directly to SUMMIT TOYOTA. Be sure to ask for Bob Watterson or Tim Treadway. You won't be sorry.As a point of clarification, I had dealt with this dealership before they changed ownership, but they are better than ever.

Steven Robins was outstanding with his knopwledge of the car we were considering to purchase. He let my wife and I ride in the 4 and 6 cylender Tyotas. While being a professional he was also very friendly. After we purchased our Tyota we got it home and the devise in the car to open the grage door did not operate properly. I am in the military and was sorta on a timeline for getting a truck before I left Ohio to move to Florida. I had about a week and a half to trade in my car and find a truck before I had to leave. I had been searching for a Tundra that was reasonably priced and fit my needs(Big enough bed to carry the motorcycle). Well I had searched all over Wayne County with no luck, until I happened to be in Akron and passed by Summit Toyota and there she was. A bright red V8 5.7L 2011 Tundra with custom rims and dual tail pipes. Now I thought to myself there is no way this car was going to be in my price range, but I thought I would check her out anyway. As I entered the dealership I was instantly greeted by a Mr. Stephen Robbins. He was very professional and friendly and had no problem letting me take the Tundra out for a test drive. After we got back and I had fallen that much deeper in love with this truck I finally asked for the big let down, "How much is it"? Well, I am not going to lie, The Truck was priced very well but was still out of my price range. Just when I thought All hope might be lost, Stephen talked to the manager and before you know it Stephen has 3 other salespersons and the financial officer over working magic on the numbers to try to help me make the truck affordable without having to have a car note for 7 years. Stephen and those he had helping me stayed over an hour past closing to help get the truck of my dreams that day. I was on my way in know time.

The aspect of the buying process we appreciated the most was the low pressure. I knew we did not plan on buying that day (it was a Saturday afternoon), we wanted to test drive and think it over. Our salesperson was aware of this and said for us to put down a deposit to hold the vehicle (he allowed us to put down whatever amount we wanted, which was $50) and come back on Monday evening to pick it up. By then we were 100% sure we wanted to go forward with the purchase and appreciated not having felt pressured to buy on Saturday. If anything, they were a bit TOO attentive. I think I have received like 5 emails thanking us for buying and a handful of phone calls as well regarding some all-weather mats we purchased a couple days later (which Stephen offered to bring to me at my house instead of me making another trip to the dealership). But I guess I can't complain about that!

We had a very good experience with Summit Toyota of Akron in purchasing a certified pre-owned Toyota Sienna. We were lured to drive to Akron for the great price and overall condition of the van. Frank was incredibly helpful, even sending us a video that day to respond to some of our questions about the van before making the drive. The only thing that would have been nice would have been a little longer test drive and time to look at the van, but as it was toward the end of the day, we were a little pressed for time. All in all, we love our new vehicle and would recommend Summit Toyota to others.

My car got totalled out while parked, so had to get a new car. I usually use Vandevere, so that is where I went first. OMG, what a nightmare! After 3 hours I left without even test driving a single vehicle! I came home and got on the web and searched dealer inventories and went to bed, too confusing. Anyway, the next day, Bob Krause called me and left a message, I blew it off. He called again the next day and I talked to him. Told him I have no patience for dealerships and just want to be in and out quickly. He promised he would do that and he did! I was in and out, with a new Camry for pricing and terms that are awesome!!! Love Summit Toyota and Bob Krause, along with all the others that were super nice and efficient. Go to Summit Toyota if you want to just buy a car!!!!!

In all my years of car shopping I have never come across the nicest...HONEST....team players ever. Usually car salesmen are like sharks after their prey but I finally found 2 of them that actually worked together. I contacted Frank who initiated everything over the phone and actually had Big Al waiting with the car that I was interested in waiting as my family arrived and ready to test drive. The negotiation went smooth and fast no bickering back and forth and so on....It was the best transaction I ever had in my life! I was out within 2 hours with my new car....I wish I would of gotten his name but the minute I walked in there was a white male about 5'8' tall and thin wearing a baseball cap I was getting some water and he said Hi and I told him I was here to hopefully buy a car he congratulated me and said it would be ok they are all really nice to work with here. I thought he was a customer like me but later I found out he worked there he really made me feel at ease I had never looked at a car on the internet and was nervous that i traveled so far and would not get the payment, the price, the interest rate ect. that I discussed on the phone with Frank...I figured this was just another way to get me in and Bam" the price goes up and I am out the door with nothing...A special thanks too to the dark haired gentelman at the front desk along with the Finance guy because of those two working with Big Al my transaction was wonderful they even talked to me normally those guys behind the desk don't even like to look at you when you are there ...you know the actual decision makers....but they were both fantastic!!!!!I know i will not need another car anytime soon but I will be recommending them to everyone I know.......Great Team Work Guys!!!!!

This is a lengthy review...but I have to share! I was checking around and comparing to have 4 new factory wheels installed on my Toyota Tundra. I figured right off the bat a dealer would be the most expensive. I originally scheduled a visit with another tire service center whom wanted to charge $125 for the install which I didnt think was bad after looking around. Long story short they said I needed new lug nuts suggested I contact a Toyota dealer for the parts. I called up Summit and they well nearly HALF the cost of what they were asking. I had to ask 3 times I think to make sure I heard them correctly. Even better they told me I could come in THAT DAY with no appointment to have the work done! Once they got it in they found out they didnt have enough lugs and the TPMS were all corroded as well so I decided to order new ones myself rather than paying their cost. No problem. They put it back together..I left. I came back a week later and they proceeded to start the installation for the 2nd time only to find that one of my new wheels was defective and discolored. They ended up having to put all 4 back on the original wheels and sent me back on my way again to take care of that issue (no charge at all)..obviously they knew I wouldnt want these wheels installed the way they were! Fast forward one more week.. (and 3 ebay sales later) and I have all new lugs, TPMS sensors, and wheels. I go BACK for the 3 rd time. By now Im sure they were 'thrilled' to see me...They got it right in, got everthing installed, and the wheels look awesome. They had to program the new TPMS and it still cost me less here! The other place wanted 2 or 3 times that! To top it off, after all this hassle...they HANDWASH, dry, and tire shine every vehicle which comes through no matter how big or small the service. Im picky about cleaning my truck and that impressed me more than anything I think! (This wasnt like some dealer who spray it with water and leave it to dry..!) Even their car wash guys were friendly and seemed to enjoy their job..it was late Friday and Im sure they just wanted to go home too.. Kudos to them! I cant remember who all I delt with but Jennifer, the Service Advisor, went above and beyond and made sure everything came out well in the end. The techs that worked on it were personable and made sure I was happy and informed..usually you never see who works on your car! I spoke with their finance advisor about some warranty details and he also gave me helpful advice even though I didnt buy from them. I felt like everyone at this dealer genuinly cares about all their customers and they totally changed my opinion on car dealers ( for them at least!) Thanks to everyone involved..keep doing what youre doing, youve definately earned a new customer here!

As a recent college grad (one day before starting my new job), I have to sing the praises of the staff at Summit Toyota. They went above and beyond, to ensure that I not only got the deal that I was looking for, but the exact vehicle as well. I knew what I was looking for when I went in, and had every intention of shopping the other locals (even though my parents had an awful experience at Ganley) until I got the deal I wanted. Bob and Brett made it easy! They didn't have the Corolla that I wanted, but they assured me it would be no problem to bring one in THAT DAY! The negotiations were minimized, as their initial offer was very near my goal and were wrapped up quickly and to my satisfaction! We were all laughing by the time I had agreed to purchase my car. I cannot say enough about the care that the staff showed to my parents and I. We all felt very comfortable with my decision. Brett jumped through all kinds of hoops and brought MY Corolla in from another dealership that afternoon! I cannot thank him and the rest of the staff at Summit Toyota enough for making what I feared would be a nightmarish process easy and enjoyable. P.S. I love my car!!!

My husband and I found ourselves unexpectedly in need of another truck to pull the boat which we had just purchased -- while short on time and in an unfamiliar town. We loved our 6 cylinder Tacoma, but it was struggling to pull the rather large/heavy sailboat which we were now trailering. Consequently, we went in search of an V8 Tundra. Tim T. at Summit was extremely informative and accomodating. He spent an extraordinary amount of time with us, working to secure the best price and financing, yet while remaining aware that we needed to get back on the road within a particular time frame. [He even ran down to the restaurant where we were having lunch (while the paperwork was being prepared), in order to make us aware of several purchase related options which had a time bearing, such that they could go forward while we ate.] Ultimately, we did purchase a used Tundra and are extremely pleased with the truck. We are now home, and it has fully lived up to the expectations and promises. The remainder of our ride home was smooth, controlled, comfortable, but most importantly-- safe! We will likely not be in the Akron area again, but for anyone shopping in the region, you need to look no further. Summit Toyota is a pleasant place to purchase your car-- and be sure to ask for Tim!

After calling several Toyota stores around here (Akron) Summit was the only store that called back and gave me a price without grilling me for my social security number, driver's license and detail items like that. They didn't ask me about my credit or any of that. Brett made sure he had my name right and my number as well and that was it. I came in, picked a color from their huge inventory, (seriously, I have never seen so many new Toyota's at one dealer before) drove the car, and Cory explained all the features on my new Camry. They kept their word on price and Brett even came over to shake hands and thank me. Very fast, very professional, and truly an almost relaxing experience. I highly recommend Summit Toyota and Brett and Cory to anyone looking for a new car.

Bought a new/used car from here for the second time. First car bought here was a very great experience so, my wife and I wanted to buy our next car from here. This last car we purchased and our experience with this dealership this time around has been for lack of better words TERRIBLE FROM THE START!!! First they "botched" our car loan, overcharging us because the finace guy didn't list our car as Toyota Certified, which I don't understand because we bought the car a year after it was made so it still quilified as new/used, this "little error" made a ten dollar difference in our car payment a month. Then, after our thirty day tags were expired we still had not recieved a "white title" to get our plates. This is when they "discovered" their errors in the car loan. After having to go thru the biggest run- around and inconvience of getting another set of thirty day tags which required them to redo our original loan. So, long story short we finally got a white title fifty-eight days after purchasing the car. FIFTY- EIGHT! No big deal at least we got it, right? Now, less than eight thousand miles later I have had to take this car in for service twice as of today (6-28-2012) because the front brakes don't "feel" right and there is a loud "noise or squeal" coming from the front left wheel. First time they said the brakes are good and the squeal noise is because the brakes are brand new, this last time I asked to see the brakes and they showed them to me and stated that the brake dust was causing the noise. Okay how do I fix this I ask, "this is normal and when we do our routine maintnace every 15,000 miles cleaning the brakes is apart of this". But, today it will cost you $59.99 for the front to be cleaned and oh by the way the back brakes have a problem with the calipers and the noise is most likely coming from them, we will service those also for an additional $59.99". I BOUGHT THIS CAR LESS THAN 8,000 MILES AGO!!! How is it that now I have to pay for something that Toyota claims they do to all their used certified cars before they are brought out to be sold on their lot? Mind you we've owned this car for less than 8,000 miles!!!!I told Mr. Bob Wilson that HELL will freeze over before I pay you $119.00 plus tax to "clean" my brakes, thinking that the displeasure in my tone and statement would clue his brain that hey, this customer isn't happy they JUST BOUGHT this car and have had it in here for service two times already and we still havn't fixed the problem and they have only driven 8,000 miles since purchase. To say I'm disappointed is an UNDERSTATEMENT. So, what does Toyota do? NOTHING!!! They washed my car for me. LOL I'm leaving the lot thinking to myself thats all this service shop is good for and good at washing cars and making tires shine. Now, I'm 36 years old with 3 kids all 16 or younger, I figure I'm going to buy several more cars in our lifetime SEVERAL!! After today and after the experience that we've had I don't care if they are giving away trunks full of gold with a purchase I WILL NEVER ALLOW MY OR MY WIFE's SHADOW TO EVER COVER THAT CAR LOT AGAIN!!! This dealership at one time was great, truly! Today its just like most things in the sevice industry... a rip-off and a waste of my time and hard earned money. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy to purchase a car from here! Thanks Summit Toyota of Akron your service speaks for itself:)

I shopped two Toyota dealers to compare. I actually bought a truck from Brunswick Toyota and was treated so badly, I asked for a refund on our deposit and went back to Montrose Toyota. I ended up paying 300.00 more but worth it to be treated the right way. I had bought 2 other vehicles at Brunswick and will never go back there. I have bought 2 from Montrose Toyota now. It is worth paying a bit more if I am going to get treated fairly.

When we selected a Prius he spent a lot of time showing us the nuances of the Prius, which paid off a day later when we accidently left the lights on. I would absolutely purchase another vehicle from Montrose Toyota. They offer more options and care packages than any dealership I have dealt with. John Heslep was so accommodating that I traveled from Pittsburgh to Montrose Toyota in Akron to purchase a new Corolla. My son had just started a new job in Cleveland and totaled his vehicle. I called a few dealerships in the area trying to find a vehicle. John not only found a car, but one with the options and color my son wanted. He also had the best price.We traveled to Akron the next day and purchase the Corolla and it was just as John described including the price. I purchased this car over the phone sight unseen. I would definitely recommend John and Montrose Toyota and would not hesitate to travel from Pittsburgh to Arkon to purchase another vehicle from them.

I have but one complaint in my dealings with this Montrose Dealership. Until three (3) weeks after my purchase I did not really realize that the heater-fan was only working on the two highest speeds of four. When I wen back in for repairs (which should have been fixed prior to being sold) I was charged for the parts AND labor - with a generous 15% discount. Although my salesman, Mark Kassel, and all else was exceptional in my experience with this dealership I definitely do not feel it very professional to have been charged for what was an oversight of their maintenance department in preparing a used vehicle for sale.

Mr. Eric Baughman did an outstanding job of finding me a car of my choice. He was very helpful and found one within my price range. I stopped by the dealership on Tuesday, 1/17/2012, to look at vehicles. Mr. Baughman went over my options and I left that day to think over the deal he laid on the table for me. i bought my first car at Montrose (2008 Scion TC) i have gotten numerous compliments on a car that i was able to purchase all by myself at the age of 18 and i still drive it today. The reason i stated my age is because it shows what a fantastic deal i got on this car. i also got my first oil change done at Montrose so i have met pretty much every employee there and they have all been more than accommodating. To start off with I was looking for a Chevy. I have always been a Chevy guy. After talking with Eric Baughman about the features and qualities of the Toyota Camry I was sold. The professionalism and customer service at the dealership were an A+ rating. I had a remote start put in when I purchased it. We received outstanding service from John Heslep. He explained all the information we needed to know and lots of extra points about the Toyota Sienna we were interested in. All of our questions were throughly answered. He was very pleasant, knowledgable, and there was no sales pressure. We came back several days later and closed the deal. The dealership was very helpful and we received a fair price.The rest of the story.. our title that was sent the last days before expiration which by the way I had to call and remind them to send was not properly executed. We went to the BMV and they would NOT accept it. We them had to drive to Tallmage to the title bureau. They said the title was we received from Montrose Toyota was not acceptable. We had to be issued a proper title before we could get our plates at the BMV. This took us half the day to correct and we had to cancel an longstanding appointment to do this. I contacted Montrose Toyota and they looked in to it. There response was " this is how we always do it and we have't had a problem before."I do not call this good customer service.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure with working with Mike and the third vehicle I have bought of of you in two years. The reason I returned to the dealership has a lot to do with him. Dishonest: Ok, about 2 weeks ago started looking for an FJ Cruiser. Stopped in and met with Mike and was offered $12,000 on a trade in (Promised this amount). (note site unseen for trade in). Shopped around for the week and felt the best deal was being offered by Montrose. Returned to the dealer to have the sales manager say "I don't know why Mike told you that you would get $12,000" on the trade in. Offer was made for $10,000. The funniest thing is if I heard one time about how honest they are I heard it 10 times in my dealings with them. I told them this was a reflection of their business, and the return comment was that no this was not (But a reflection of the sales representative). Wow, think about this person as your boss, and running you business.

Dealer could not re-program used Toyota Keyless entry key (local locksmith did). Dealer could not reprogram air inlet mode so that 'recirc' was manual instead of 'auto'. When I presented Montrose with a copy of the Avalon Repair Manual (RM1169U) showing that the air inlet mode was one of many customizable features, Bob dismissed it as 'internet junk'. When I took the car to Ganley Toyota, they not only reprogrammed as I asked, they did it as a customer courtesy...no charge.

Buyer Beware: Here Is my Montrose experience we were shopping for a used car and we told the salesman (who we had dealt with before) how much we were willing to spend. We walked around the lot looking and car after car he never told me the price he said that he would make it work. I test drove a car and loved it, we went in and began the paperwork. Not until after pulling our credit did I see the price, a full 40% more then my price range, again I was told that they would make it work. So he dropped the price 20% I was furious and told them the amount I would spend (the original amount discussed) and I was asked how flexible I was. Well I guess I could have gone lower. I was mad as hell and walked out, apparently when they tell you they will make it work they figure you will make it work not them. My wife stayed behind for a while and talked with the guy and the manager, if she didn't it would have gotten real ugly. So later we check their website and the car is actually listed for less then their final offer to us. The wife decides to call the salesman (by this time I am done with these idiots) and confront him and he acts like he doesn't have a clue about the website prices and drops the price another 10%. I just now wonder how bad we got screwed on the first car we bought from them.
