Everyone there at Sundance were nice and greeted and asked if someone could help me. I'm so excited about getting my 2018 F150 from Sundance in May/June of 2021. Scott Baker worked on helping me to accomplish this goal. I'm thankful for all his hard work. I never thought this would be possible especially when I'm still working on getting my credit score higher. This is my second truck from Sundance and would recommend them to anyone. I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am with my experience! Mike W is the guy to go to! We worked over the phone, as I live a bit away, until it was time to come test drive and sign papers. In Sept. 2016 I stopped in to Sundance in St. Johns to look at a 2009 Ranger which was in the shop being detailed. It turned out not to be what I wanted but I was 'assigned' a salesman by the name of Lupe who took down all my contact information and a detailed description of the kind of truck I was looking for. I was assured he would contact me by the next week to show me some similar trucks, including some at the Grand Ledge store. Never heard from him or anyone else at Sundance again. Assuming I was not important enough for them I went looking at other local dealerships and found exactly the right truck for me. I felt appreciated there so they got my business and goodbye to Sundance!

Found my car on the cars.Com app. Emailed them and Jason Pendleton Internet manager quickly responded back to me. We setup a time for later on that day for me to come look at the car. Worked with Joe Garn Hart in sales we were in and out with the new car in about 2 hours. One of the best dealings I have dealt with.

I keep requesting an owner's manual for a recently purchased 2014 model. I feel like I am being blown off. I have called the dealership 3 times over the course of the last 6 weeks and spoke with my original salesman. Promises, Promises. I STILL don't have a manual to explain the features on this vehicle. Would I recommend a friend to your business? NO.

Started out well my salesman was very helpful. Spent a lot of time trying to find me what I was looking for. In the end on 11/27/15, I purchased a 09 Saturn Outlook XE with only 77k. On my way home it started chugging while going up hills, instantly upset, called salesman he said bring it back in the morning and I will get it serviced. Received my car back on Dec.1 and was told that a couple cylinders were misfiring and that it was taken care of. Well their fix only lasted about 4 or 5 days when it started doing it all over again and this time the check engine light came on. So finally today Dec.13, 2015, for the second time in two weeks I brought it back again, really not pleased, getting very frustrated. They better get it fixed right this time.

This dealership sold a car that they said only needed tires to fix the vibration and loud noise. That was not true and they want more money to repair. I met with the saleswoman on 8/25/15 to look at a 2010 Dodge Journey. She told me not to worry about how rough it drove or the loud noise, that her service guy said it just needed new tires. She also pointed out several other repairs that were scheduled to be done and said all of that would be fixed. On 9/30, I went to the dealership to make a deal on that car. While we were discussing the price, she said the price of the car would be changed from what it was advertised for, on their website, if she made the repairs. She did not say that when we talked about the car the first time. I asked for the list of repairs that she told me about and she said they were all written down and she would give it to me at the end of signing the paperwork for the car. After I signed all of the paperwork for the car, she showed me the list. It did not include the tires, she said they were planning on fixing. I asked her about the tires and she said I would have to give up a specialty package that I had purchased, that cost $599, in order to have new tires put on. I said okay I would take the tires instead. After taking the car back to the dealership to have the new tires put on, on 10/10, as soon as I drove away, the car still made the same vibration and noise. I called and made an appointment for 10/15 to have them diagnose it. They said the tie-rod needed to be fixed, along with a ball bearing on the same side. It would cost $862 plus the cost of a rental car. I told them that was not what I was told when I bought the car. The service guy said the owner of the dealership would review the file on the car to see if there was enough money in the deal to fix it for me. I then received a phone call that the owner of the dealership decided to fix it, if I would pay them $100 and they wouldn't cover the cost of the rental car. I asked to speak to the owner and never received a phone call. I did not authorize them to fix the car, but on 10/17 I received a phone call telling me my car was fixed. I called them back and asked if the $100 and rental car costs had been waived and they said no. I was then told he couldn't do anything about that, I would have to speak with the salesperson. I spoke with the sales person who said, she couldn't do anything about that and that I would need to speak with the owner. I said I have been trying to speak with the owner and she didn't return my calls. The salesperson said she could give me the owners personal cell number so I could call her. I called Tarrah Hanks on 10/17 and left a voicemail asking her to call me to talk about the repair bill for the 2010 Dodge Journey that I had recently purchased from them. I did not receive a return phone call from the owner until a week and a half later. As of 10/19 the service manager is saying I owed $235 and they won't release my Dodge Journey without paying that amount. Left a message with the owner again, on 10/26. Still no return phone call. Do not use this dealership. Read other responses about this dealership, they are very similar to mine. Not a reputable dealership.

Our first experience and last experience with Sundance:As we exited the vehicle to start wandering among the vehicle we were greeted by a gentleman on a golf cart, he wore sunglasses and couldn't shake our hands due the cigarette in his hand.His first question was 'Who are you here to meet'... which immediately made us feel as though we weren't expected at the location. Joe was attentive to our interests but ultimately did his best to push us into a vehicle that was well beyond the budget we stated when we pulled into their parking lot. I wouldn't have called Joe pushy until today when I called to have the $100.00 hold on the Canyon refunded to my credit card. He stated he was able to drop the payment to just $10 over our budget, when I advised him that did not change our decision his response was 'Really, you can't come up with the 10 dollars?'That response and the fact that their sales team hung up on me when I called in the first time solidified that we will NEVER do business with Sundance!!!

I recently purchased a Chevy Cobalt from their location. The entire buying process went well and I would like to give them credit there. However, they are all about making the sale with little support afterwards. I've worked in sales for approximately 6 years as a district sales manager. I know what kind of conversations take place behind closed doors in a sales environment. The Cobalt I purchased was in fair condition (88,000 miles) and I was looking for a cheap commuter. There was the expected wear on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. However, the check engine light turned on when test driving the car. I notified the dealer and I was hesitant about purchasing the vehicle. They promised that they would resolve the check engine light before I purchased the car. The light was an easy fix and the dealer took care of the issue. There were other minor issues that could have been fixed for less than $100 dollars that the dealer said they would take care of before selling the vehicle. However, those promises went unmet. Simple repairs such as a sunroof bezel to hold the sunroof switch in place ( a $3.00 part, which is now hanging out of my car ceiling) "couldn't be repaired". I wasn't made aware that these repairs were not taken care of until after I signed the papers and handed check over. In addition, I had to call up there and ask about it. The sale rep hesitantly replied that they were unable to do these repairs and obviously was not going to bring this to my attention. After my purchase, I regret ever doing business with that establishment and the car I purchased has turned into a money pit. I have put less than 100 miles on the vehicle and it is literally falling apart. Within the short week and a half of owning the vehicle I have had ECU electrical issues. The car will short and not start. The gauges go up and down and all crazy. In addition, my blower AC fan went out and I now have no heat. To top it off, the turn signal switch randomly stopped working. This is all within a two week time frame. I have called the dealership and they offered me that ridiculous 15% of labor and parts discount as a part of my 30 day warranty. I was quoted by a commercial Chevy repair shop here in my town for the repairs. The quote was substantially less than the dealerships service costs even with the lousy 15% discount on parts and labor. Overall, the vehicle is not safe to drive. I have invested over $500 dollars thus far on repairs. Even if the dealership offered a free repair I wouldn't take it. If they let a car like this off of their lot, they obliviously lack any mechanical expertise. The worst part is, if they claim to have certified mechanics, then they have extremely low standards and lack ethics and morals. 1) They are all ABOUT the sale and their numbers 2) Be extremely wary of vehicle purchases 3) Take the vehicle to a trusted mechanic before buying! It is worth the inspection fee, even if its $100

We definitely would recommend the St. Johns Sundance Dealership to people interested in receiving excellent service. A very friendly and welcoming staff greets their clients as soon as they entire their showroom. The sales people were very knowledgeable of their products. Tara and Tony worked patiently with us to make sure we left with the car of our dreams; a GMC Acadia Denali. As first-time lease buyers we appreciated the personalized attention to explaining the process.

We recently purchased a car for my college commuting son. Although the car was almost 15 years old it had around 100,000 miles on it and the body was in excellent condition. We were pretty excited about getting him into a car made in the USA that hadn't had it's life beaten out of it. My son drove it around for one week, he put less than 100 miles on it during that time. We noticed the power steering fluid was leaking out of it and immediately called the dealership for a service call. They couldn't get us in for almost another week. During the time we've been waiting we have had the repair evaluated and estimated by a reputable local repair shop. We found out it was the car's rack and pinion and the mechanic who we have taken the car to said it was clear as day, in other words it's likely the dealership might of already known about it. I called Sundance to ask them what they would do for us and they offered us a "discount" repair job because we were still under the first 30 days of the purchase warranty which would give us a 15% discount on parts and labor. With their alleged discount the repair and part will still cost TWICE what our local mechanic will charge us. I told the dealership that and they still were not willing to do anything more for my son. I am very disappointed and will not buy a car there again or use them for any type of service work in the future. They were great during the buying process but had absolutely no intention of taking any responsibility for standing by the product they sold us two weeks ago. Admittedly, buying used cars are sometimes like shooting into a barrel but because Sundance is a family owned dealership I felt they had more integrity. There are too many dealerships out there to deal with a known bad actor. Buyer beware.

Nick Irland is the only person I buy cars from. He knows what cars I like and calls me when he thinks I might be interested in something they have. Always has everything ready to sign when I get there or they will bring the paperwork to me. Even if I need service they will pick my vehicle up and drop off a loaner.

We have purchased 4 cars from Tony Guerrero over the years. He can make a deal happen in just a few hours you,drive home with your car.We have sent family and friends to him. He made sure my truck was full of gas and washed it for me and removed stripes that I didn't want before we left. We only deal with Sundance because we trust that our car is of excellent quality. Hands Down the smoothest transaction I have ever had at a dealership. Very easy to deal with very laid-back setting hours are very convenient. Worked with Tony G and he was AMAZING! He was not pushy at all (like most sales people are) and was very helpful. A lot of people get discouraged during the looking and buying process, but he made it very easy. I would recommend the drive to St.Johns to get good customer service.. its definitely worth it.

I can say that we are now on our 3rd GM vehicle purchase with Sundance and have experienced great service in both locations. Most recently we decided to lease a new GMC and traveled a little out of the way to St Johns for this deal (we live closer to many dealerships in Lansing) but have no regrets! I found what I was looking for and was able to drive off the lot within a few hours in my new vehicle. Will be doing business in the future with them again for sure!

Seen vehicle I was interested in so I e-mailed for info no response, Then called and asked salesman if vehicle was available and he said he would get back to me, and you guessed it no response. Assume vehicle was sold but they could have called and said so.

We bought a 2004 Pontiac grand prix from Sundance. 6 days later, the engine blew. It was smoking and everything. We had to pay for a tow truck to bring the car back to Sundance. They tried to get us to sign a paper stating that we were responsible to pay 85% of all charges. We said no. They worked with us, said the parts and labor would cost $2300without and we would inly have to pay $500. They told us they were going to put a used motor in it with less then 80,000 miles on it. A week later, we went to pick up the car, after they stuck us with the $500 dollar payment. We went to leave and asked them how many miles were on the motor so we could keep it in our records, and they tell us the motor has 140,000 miles on it. We are not happy at all with the services received there. They do not care about the customer, they only care about themselves. We got screwed over. I strongly suggest no one buys a car from them.
