Buying a car has always been a daunting task for me. The entire staff at Tim Smith Acura made the process flawless from start to finish. The most professional service I could have ever wished for. Conor and Earl, were extremely knowledgeable and patient on the sales end. Ben, in the finance department worked diligently with all the details concerning our situation. Gene, that finalized the transaction made it as painless as possible. While explaining any fine print or other options to consider. Loyal customers for life!!

Couldn't ask for a better car buying experience. I mean I gave Earl a hard time for about 5 hours straight. But he came through and gave my wife and I two great cars at prices we were looking for. Earl is one of the best if not the best car salesmen that I have ever had to deal with. I also would like to commend the hard work and effort put in by the finance manager Gene Watson. He got us great rates and was able to do things to make the process go super easy. I have never said in my life that I would be going back to a specific dealership for their business. But I will definitely be going back here to buy any future vehicles as long as they keep up the good work. Thank you Earl, Gene, and of course Ben for making it a great day for my wife and I.

Having done business with the dealership in the past. I have always had impeccable service without question. However, the most recent purchase was above and beyond my expectations. From the moment the process began, to working different scenarios to ensure we had the best deal possible. Hat tip to Conor, Earl, Ben, Gene and Travis for ensuring we had the best experience. We truly appreciate your professionalism and giving us a feeling of comfort on our purchase. 🤙

I wasn’t planning to purchase a new car…had my current car for almost 2 years, but had started looking at a different luxury line that started with a C ;) Many reviews suggested looking at the TLX…so I searched, and found Tim Smith. Created an inquiry online, since I live 1.5 hrs away. Wasn’t impressed with my initial response….but received a followup email and video from Gene. I decided to make the drive and see the car in person. Gene was ready for us when we arrived, made the paperwork process easy, and didn’t try to hide any financial paperwork, nor did he run off to “talk with his manager” and leave us sitting for hours (which has been my experience at a few dealerships in Panama City). Instead, he was honest, available, and didn’t waste our time! I have zero buyers remorse….Gene made us feel comfortable in the experience of buying our first Acura. Thank you for the customer service of holding the car for us, allowing us to test drive, completing all the paperwork, the fair trade, and for everyone who stayed past closing to allow us to complete the transaction. Much appreciated!

Gene, the business manager, was a pleasure to work with! The paperwork was such an easy process with him. Ben, the sales manager, was the opposite. The second we arrived to look at a car we had talked about the previous day, he immediately told us that the price went up $1,800 overnight. He stated this was nothing to do with them, but Carfax’s fault. I 100% believe this was to make his “rock bottom” what the price was originally. The sales representative we dealt with was Karen and she was great! She made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of through the entire process.

They were upfront and open about pricing. I got the vehicle I needed and they didn't try to sell something I didn't want. I have taken my old acura to their service dpt many times. They quickly fix any issue and I'm on my way!

I came to offer my opinion to my mother as she was preparing to buy a new car. Upon arrival I had said hello and how are you to Mark Keine who ever so kindly ignored me. I walked around with him and my mother to check out the three cars she had narrowed it down to. As the three of us walked around and I asked questions I was spoken to like an adolescent who didn't know what she was talking about. I was especially appalled when I got an eye roll from a 50+ year old man. Here you are speaking to me like a child yet you're acting like one. I continued to be polite dispite his rude attitude. I was very obviously interested in a 2012 Buick Enclave but he and no one else made any efforts to come at least attempt to talk me into buying this vehicle. But no worries, they didn't know I was looking and as far as they were concerned I was there for my mother. But still to have three guys lounging in the shade you'd think they would be eager to make a sale. Although I had no intentions of buying a car (maybe if they tried at all I would've) I still think the customer service here is absolutely horrid. These guys walk around with their heads held high like they just have everyone in their pockets already because they are the only Acura dealership around here. Well you guys lost my mother and Is business (oh did I mention she is a returning customer? - how hard is it to lose one of those!) We will now be making the drive to Orlando just to get at least a smile.

I have been looking for a new car there for a few days, finally settled on one and came to a price. Spend an hourdoing financing and after it was approved they said (less than one hour later mind you) that they wanted more money and couldn't offer it for the price offered anymore!!! What a waste!! Maybe that works with some people, because they say you don't want your credit dinged too much, but not with me! If you offer a price, make someone go through the application process and then say you want more money you will never receive a dime from me!

My wife and I purchased a 2012 Acura TSX certified pre owned wagon roughly 200 miles from our home at this dealership. I requested the salesman inspect the car and send pictures of any imperfections in the vehicle. He mentioned that there were 2 small scratches on the rear bumper but other than that the vehicle was in excellent condition. I also contacted the sales manager and asked him to inspect the vehicle and provide details on any imperfections. He responded that the vehicle was in excellent condition. The relationship started off with two different Tim Smith Acura employees lying to us either by design or omission.I explained that round trip would be approximately a 5 hour drive and we were cash buyers and would like to have the deal completed inside of 45 minutes.Upon arrival we were told that they had gone ahead and completely repainted the bumper and the car was being detailed. After waiting 4 hours the vehicle was brought forward and looked as if it had not been washed. The person who had actually painted the bumper was still on site performing his work out of a mobile truck. Several vehicles were being repainted in the parking lot. He explained that the paint would not be fully hardened for a month or more. In addition, the passengers mirror was hanging off the vehicle. It was taken back to service to be fixed. Upon closer inspection after arriving home the vehicle has a litany of issues.- Six large exterior scratches that have been touched up with not so closely matching paint so they would not be immediately seen.- A dent in the center crease of the hood that had been poorly repaired and caused the paint and metal to separate. According to the local body shop this will eventually rust.- A large dent inside the wagons 5th door where something heavy was dropped int he vehicle.- A large gouge in the glove box door- After returning home the oil life remaining light came on indicated 30% oil life remaining.Th vehicle is supposed to be a 2012 certified pre-owned Acura and we were presented with a check list of things that were supposedly completed including an oil change. In addition, the salesman and sales anger were both asked individually by email to identify anything that was wrong with the vehicle. Obviously this purchase has been a great disappointment and we feel that the dealer has lied to us several times cheating us as a customer of both time and money. We have contacted both the sales manager and the general manager of the dealership and were told the could offer no compensation or repairs for e broken items on the certified Preowned vehicle we paid $23,039.27 to purchase.Buyer Beware !

Took my MDX to Tim Smith Acura for a $1,200 100,000 mile service. Soon thereafter my dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the car ground to a halt on the freeway. Never had a single issue with the car before; it was "bullet proof". The tow truck driver figured out the problem in 30 seconds: THE RADIATOR CAP WAS SITTING ON THE BATTERY! To their credit, they were very gracious at first. They covered the tow, brought me a comparable loaner, and promised to "make it right". However, the relationship rapidly degraded. They took two months to replace the engine, and never updated me once. When I picked up the car, not only was it not cleaned, but they left a wet chamois cloth on the leather seat. 5,000 miles after the engine replacement the Exhaust Gas Regulator (EGR) gave out. Tim Smith Acura informed me that because the EGR was cannibalized from the old engine, it was past warranty. SERIOUSLY!? The old engine got so hot it melted, and yet they still put the part that regulates HOT EXHAUST GASSES on my new engine and said it wasn't their fault it failed (it was). So, I paid Joe Bullard Acura in Mobile (amazing dealership, highly recommended) $600 to fix it. After another 5,000 miles my water pump started leaking. There's no doubt this pump was also cannibalized, and since engine-driven pumps are partially lubricated by the fluids they pump, it would have been damaged from running with no radiator fluid. The repairs will cost $990. I don't know how Tim Smith Acura is going to handle this issue because they won't return my calls. And yes, I have been perfectly polite and patient. I hope they uphold their promise to "make it right."

Let's get this out of the way: DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THESE INGRATES. Tim Smith Acura is full of conniving idiots that are either too stupid or too slimy to care upholding their word. I went in to look at a car that had been on their lot for over 4 months that I wrongly assumed they would be eager to sell; afraid not. They threw the usual dealer low-ball at my trade-in and I countered with actual numbers from real websites that normal people have access to. I left assured that I would receive the full payoff for my car as they would still stand to make quite a bit of money off of the deal. I received a call today, not even 24 hours later, after waiting almost 4 hours for an answer on my offer, informing me that the numbers we had discussed previously were null and void because the person that gave them to me was a salesman and not a sales manager. He then proceeded to inform me that the offer was 2,000 less than we agreed upon not even 24 hours prior. The sales manager then proceeded to admit that he was not an expert on the type of vehicle I was trading in, but then tried to tell me exactly what the market was for it. A wee bit of confusion on that one. They seem to be in the business of keeping cars on their lot for as long as possible, and lemme tell us something; BUSINESS IS BOOMING!

This dealership wasted three hours of my time. I was there to purchase a 2007 Acura MDX that was advertised on the internet. After driving the car we feel in love with it. We made an offer on the car and then the Sales Manager accepted. I told the Salesman that I had X amount of money in cash in my pocket and that is all I can pay due to being on a fixed income, he told me that the offer was good plus I would pay Tax, Title, and Registration. We agreed and waited for the paperwork to be completed and the car to be cleaned. Upon completing the paperwork we were quoted Five Hundred dollars over the agreed upon charges, when we asked why we were told it was a dealer fee, which was not disclosed until we were hooked and ready to pay. We told him to remove the charge or we walked, he refused saying it was state law, which was a lie, so we picked up our money from the desk and walked out. I guess most people just go ahead and pay the charge but when they pulled this slick trick on us it didn't work. Five Hundred extra dollars on each vehicle sold is a pretty good profit.

I tried to negotiate price. They told me to ask bank what they would offer. Bank stated I should get price with them first. Tim Smith acura told me to make an offer. When I did they did not return my phone call and this happened on more than one occasion with them. After two weeks, I just gave up and went to shop elsewhere.

This dealer is a small town, poorly run operation. We tried to buy new car here only to have to wait on the manager / owner get back from his lunch break then no introduction or apology. BUYER BEWARE we saved approx 3-4 K at another dealer I have bought many cars and this was by far the worst. I'm very glad we walked .

If you are shopping for an Acura, drive a 100 miles extra and go to Tallahassee. This dealer is unethical and will change things on you after agreeing to the price. The service department is just as bad and never gets the repairs right the first time. Seems like the fish stinks from top down. Managers and employees dont care and dont return calls when you try to address issues. I have owned an Acura for 20+ years and by far this is the worst dealer.

One of the worst Acura dealers in the country. If you live in the panhandle, own an acura you are out of luck as far as dealer service is concerned. Service staff is disorganized ( since the last service manager left ), they dont get the right repairs done in the first attempt and communication is terrible. Have owned acuras a long time dealt with many Acura dealers across the country. This one by far is the WORST.

We had negotiated a price on a new Acura MDX on a Saturday. It was after closing so we told our sales person, Jennifer Hart, that we would get back with her on Monday, giving us a chance to check our bank for financing. I called her that morning and asked if they'd install a couple of options to sweeten the deal. Over 2 hours later she informed that she had spoken to the owner and that not would they not install any options, but he wouldn't have offered the sale price we were quoted on Saturday if he'd been there. I told her I'd let her know if we changed our mind and hung up. A little while later I emailed her thanking her for her efforts and to keep us in mind if something similar came up for sale. My husband, knowing how disappointed I was, tried to surprise me and called her to make the deal. He left her a message and she never called back. I was so disappointed losing out on the MDX when I realized that he had tried and she wouldn't respond.

They are not competitive and are rude and condescending. If you want competitive pricing, go the extra 100 miles and go to Proctor Acura in Tallahassee. We were looking to buy not one but 2 TL's and asked for the Consumer Reports price. They asked where we came up with those numbers, and were shocked when we showed them the CR report. They claimed they had never seen it before and that none of their clients had ever asked for that price! We do get our cars serviced there, the service is OK. But the sales staff is terrible. Because of the negative experience with the sales staff, I'm afraid to take our cars in for service!

I purchased a certified used Acura RSX in November 2008 under the extended warranty. Upon a trip to Pittsburgh the brakes gave out and was towed to the nearest Acura dealership. Technician stated that aftermarket brake lines were on the vehicle and had worn through. I was not aware of aftermarket brakes line on the vehicle when purchased, nor had I put any brake lines on this vehicle. I contacted Tim Smith Acura of the problem and was told initially that I would have to pay and then to send the repair order to them and I would be reimbursed. A couple of days went by after I sent the repair order to them, then it was requested that I furnish the brake lines. Of course nothing had been said initially that the brake lines were needed. After finally getting ahold of the service manager after numerous attempts, I was told that I would not be reimbursed for this work which would have been covered had there not been aftermarket brake lines on this vehicle. The reason giving was that he did not have access to see the brake lines. I feel that I was wronged by this, either he should have taken my word that I did not have aftermarket brake lines put on this vehicle, or that the Acura dealership in Pittsburgh misrepresentated itself when stating that aftermarket brake line existed on the vehicle. Finally I am curious why it took so long to request the brake lines that were taken off of this vehicle. I would not recommend anybody purchase an Acura from this dealership. I am retired military and will make sure that all service men and women at Eglin and Hurlburt are aware of such poor service from Tim Smith Acura.

The customer service at Tim Smith Acura was awful. The sales persons were not knowledgeable about their vehicles. Two of the salesmen were very condesending to me and didn't value me as a customer until they found out that we had excellent credit. We were interested in a TL but the salemen continued to push the more expensive RL. Our few hours at Tim Smith were uncomfortable and we just didn't get a good vibe. Too much attitude and not enough correct information. Lots of double speak. You could ask 3 different salepeople the same question and get 3 totally different answers. Overall unpleasant experience.

I've purchased many new cars over the last 20 years and have never had SUCH a negative experience with any dealership like I had with the salespeople at TIM SMITH ACURA in Fort Walton Beach Florida. I knew more about the features of the car I was interested in they they did. They had no idea of their products features and made up answers to pacify my questions. After much research at Acura.com and other Acura dealerships, I found out that the salesman, Julius, who claimed to be salesman of the year for the past 3 years had no idea about the car and gave me false info about it's capabilites and features. Also, I was lied to, bold faced lied to, not "miscommunication" or misunderstanding, simply lied to. I felt really dirty after dealing with these people. They were just sleazy and manipulative. Best advice, go to another Acura dealer or go for another brand. For me, Tim Smith acura was a Total waste of time, effort and they were pure hell to deal with...I am a reasonable individual and I expect the dealer to make a more than fair profit, what I don't expect is lying and manipulation and waste of my valuable time. I ended up purchasing the exact vehicle from another Acura dealer a bit farther away for a decent price and easy, fair, clear transaction.

I first visited Tim Smith Acura in early March 09, and they wouldn't give me enough for my trade in, so I waited until it sold privately. After over 2 months it finally sold and I went right back to the same salesmen that helped me in March because that is the kind of customer I am. I bought an 08 Acura TL, 1 year used, in May of 09. In July of 09 I had a problem with the TPMS on one of the wheels, shouldn't be a big deal to get it replaced. Wrong. Turns out they never gave me the lug nut lock key so no shop could work on my car. Had to have it towed 200 miles to the nearest dealership who fixed it but told me they could not give me the lug nut key, I had to call my original dealership and salesmen to obtain that key. Sounded odd, but okay, that was the dealership who failed to give it to me, so they are responsible for making it right and getting it for me. I called my original salesmen, Julius, who after a few minutes of his investigation, told me he could not get it for me. I told him that was not an acceptable answer, I have to have that, it should have been in the car when I bought it. He in turn tired to flip it on me, saying I lost it, that the key was in there, etc. I told him, "don't you dare try to flip this on me" and he proceeded to yell back at me and hang up. Some customer service. Blame the customer, yell at the customer, then hang up on the customer, leaving the customer with no help. That incident told me right then and there that he cared about me only up until the point I signed the check for the car. Clearly, after that, who cares. I wasn't disrespectful, I didn't curse, I didn't insult, I told him his response was unacceptable and yes I snapped back after he tried to blame me for it, but who wouldn't? Not the type of people I would have ever spend close to $30K with had I known how they treat customers. A certified used, but practically still brand new, TL and this is how I am treated. I had read a review on this dealer, a single review, saying something to the effect of "not good customer service" and "didn't really care about me as a customer" prior to engaging Tim Smith Acura, and since there was no detail to the review except that, I figured just a mad customer or had one dispute or whatever... until I found myself on the receiving end of their "customer service." Agree with me or don't, but any customer going to Tim Smith Acura should know the possibility that if you don't leave with a perfect car, don't bother going back to them, they probably don't care. If they can't help me out with something so small and insignificant as a lug nut key, what do you think will happen when you go back with a more serious problem??

Went in wanting to test drive a 09 TL and the salesman had us sit down and went over prices on how much we would walk out with one. It turns out to be over $5,000 over what we expected. They wouldn't even let us take a car for a test drive. Not Good!

Wow- I finally got my dream car! I wish I had gone there first to save a lot of time and hassle. You should really give these guys a try even if you are looking for a used car. I never thought I could actaully afford it or get approved but they made it happen! I LOVE MY NEW TL!!!
