I'm not sure if they've been bought by ComCast or AT&T -- maybe they just learned customer service from those businesses. I live over an our away from the dealership, so it is not convenient to go there for service, though it is sometimes necessary. Using the "Contact Us" email on their website, I recently emailed the service department to ask about the time required for the needed repair, the availability of alternate transportation, and an estimate of the cost. After more than a week with no response, I called the service department. The girl who took the call couldn't answer any of my questions but was pretty adament that I would need to make two trips -- one for anassessment of the work to be done and one for the actual repair. I asked that she transfer me to someone who could answer my questions, They were all busy, so she took my questions and phone number and promised that someone would call me back in a few minutes. That was four hours ago. Why do I think I won't get any call? Why am I not surprised?

My daughter took her Volvo in for a recall on the seat heater. It didn't work. We brought it back and Wood said it would cost $111 to figure out why it didn't work. Waste of time getting up for an 8:00 apt. in 1o weather. Should have told us all that on the phone before they scheduled it. $111 to figure out why their service on a recall didn't work?Very low class. Not what you expect from a Volvo dealer. Or any dealer.

What is bad business....bad business is when a salesman promises you a car and sells it to someone else as you walk in the door. We will never recommend your dealership. Shame on you.

I have been looking for the right. SUV for my family and after seeing a used Volvo XC90 listed for sale I immediately drove to the dealership to look at the car. I was shown the outside if the car but the salesperson said we could drive it because it hadn't been through service yet. He explained that he would call me and let me take it for a drive when it was ready. The vehicle was exactly what I was looking for but was listed $2,000 over its fair market value. I didn't want to make an offer without driving it so I waited. The next day after thinking it through I decided to call and put a $500 dollar down payment on the car so that it wouldn't get sold out from under me. Several days later the salesperson called to let me know it wasn't completely done but that we could drive it. While driving and inspecting the car I found some small issues and the salesperson explained that they might be able to take care of them. I offered a fair dollar amount for the vehicle and was told they couldn't sell it for that amount because of the money they had put into it. After some haggling the salesperson said he would talk to his manager the next day and let me know if they could do any better. He called me back the next day(Saturday) with an offer, and I asked if I could mull it over till Monday.(dealership closed Sunday)I spoke with him Monday morning and accepted his offer and asked for a total so that I could bring a check for the car. He stated he would call me right back. Several hours later he called to tell me that the car was sold to another party! What was the point in putting the money down? I'm guessing the other party was willing to pay more for the car so they sold it to them. He apologized and stated that he was frustrated by the situation as well. He then sent me an email with a refund notice for my $500 and stated again how sorry he was. I'm not sure what I could have done differently other than paying there hopped up price for the car. Very disappointed

Be very cautious when shopping at this dealership. I test drove a vehicle. It had some issues (which leads one to wonder how it made it past the 140 point inspection, but that's a whole other subject). I was not interested in the vehicle unless the issues were fixed. I was told that it would be no problem to address the issues, but needed a credit card to show "good faith" because there are 15 other salesmen trying to sell the same vehicle. I was assured repeatedly that the card would NOT be ran...and on that very day (without my authorization), they charged the card $200.00. Refund was credited two weeks later, but only after several texts/phone calls from me were made.PS. I would NEVER have provided my credit card information, but the salesman is a relative of a coworker and I made the mistake of trusting him when he said the card would not be ran. Lesson learned.

Tom Wood knows Volvos. This team of experts performed an independent assessment of my Volvo after my engine was destroyed by a general auto service place performing an oil change. They did a detailed inspection of my car, took pictures of problem areas, and explained the issues to me in laymans terms (they were incredibly patient with me because I know nothing about cars!). The evidence showed that my engine was destroyed due to oil starvation. I confronted the general service place with this information and they told me I would have to take them to court. I was a little lady representing myself against a big corporate attorney and I won the case. There is no way I could have done this without the expertise and willingness of the Tom Wood team to go above and beyond in helping me out. I owned my Volvo for 10 years and have always taken my car to the dealer for servicethis one time I decided it wouldnt hurt to take it to a place that was closer to my house. Learn from my mistake and take your Volvo to Tom Woodthey do things right.

My low tire pressure light came on unexpectedly. I stopped by Tom Wood Volvo without an appointment. Mary and Tim worked me in very graciously even though it was a busy Monday after a period of bad winter weather. I got the kind of personal service I always get there. They got me back on the road in a reasonable timeframe feeling secure again.

We recently purchased a 2002 Volvo V70 XC in immaculate condition. Our salesman, Paul Bennett, was wonderful and made the process so much more pleasant than we expected. Thanks to him we had an enjoyable test drive, easy negotiating experience, and flawless receipt of the car. The sales manager (or whomever it is behind the curtain who makes the deal decisions) was flexible. The business manager (or whomever it is that does the sale paperwork) was friendly and helpful. Chad in parts/service even matched a price I found online for some accessories. We are very happy with the car and the experience. NOTE: I am giving an overall 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. #1, We visited the dealership twice before we purchased the car and both times we had to ask the receptionist for a salesman's help while several salesmen stood around watching us check out the car. Maybe there's a different process at Tom Wood than in other dealerships I've visited but I am used to salesman greeting potential customers who are clearly interested in purchasing a car. I interpreted this to mean that we didn't look moneyed enough to take seriously. #2, The first salesman (NOT Paul) who rode with us did not make us look forward to returning for another drive. Nothing awful, we just didn't click with him and expected a dreadful purchasing experience. Thankfully we met Paul and all was well.

My experience with Tom Wood, and especially with Paul Bennett, was a great one. Car buying was actually a fun experience! Paul was very generous with his time and worked with me to make sure I got the car I wanted and that was right for me. Cars are obviously expensive but I feel like I got a good and fair deal. I will definitely return to Tom Wood when it's time to buy my next car.

I took my car (2005 Volvo V50) for 30,000 miles maintainance service. I asked to iniclude tire rotation, as front tires showed more wear than rear tires. The car also had a missing wheel nut, which I forgot to mention to a manager but had no doubt they will find out and put a new nut on it during the tire and brake inspections. After the service charging about $300, the car was returned to me without tire rotation, still leaving the wheel nut missing. The manager explanined that front tires had more threads than rear tires, which I disagree and don't think he even looked at the tires. The manager also mentioned that leaving the wheel nut missing is a minor mistake. Finally, the inpsection report card he gave me showed "2004 S40" for the year and car model, which is not my car. What kind of servie quality is that? This poor quality of service is hard to find even at local cheap mechanic shops.

I bought a Volvo S60 from this dealer last summer. The sales person was great to work with, as was the financing person. The service staff doesn't seem very interested in you and makes you feel rushed.

I had my first service appointment and told them I didn't need a loaner, that my office is only 5 mins from their lot and that if someone could give me a ride to work, I could catcha ride back at the end of the day. I wound up waiting almost an hour for their shuttle bus to take me 5 minutes away. When I picked my car up, it had not been vaccumed out, the windows hadn't been cleaned.........I paid $100+ for an oil change and they can't vacuum the car out?!?! I can go to Jiffy Lube and pay $29.99 and get the car cleaned out as part of the package. I asked the guy who brought my car around why it hadn't been cleaned. He went inside to ask and then told me if I would wait, they'd clean it. I asked him how long I'd have to wait, he said they were busy and it would probably be 1/2 an hour.

Not really the type of service I'd expect from a luxury car dealer.
