Service performed less than a year ago on ball joints. I had to search my own receipts to prove warranty. They completed the warranty work and gave me back the truck. Little did I know that they not only screwed up the auto locking hubs but also left the retainers on the brake line off as well. I lost 50% of my braking because the brake line rubbed against the tire and made a hole. Found out that the 4x4 did not work in the middle of a snow storm. They asked to look at the truck to see what they could do. The brakes were an emergency so I had to get that fixed else where but they looked at the auto locking hubs. In the process they removed the passenger side brake hose from the retainer and never put it back in place. I ended up repairing that myself.So if you are going here for service you should do 2 things. 1) take out an extra life insurance policy out... their work may kill you. 2) Have another mechanic check their work. They refused to respond to any of my inquiries. Thanks Torrington Ford... I`m still alive despite your efforts.

Ron Laplante was our sales rep. Ron was knowledgeable, found the truck we wanted with the specifications we desired, gave us a best offer the first time around - no haggling - and personally took the truck to a specialist to get the truck bed liner installed. Financing was easy and straightforward and we couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Ron and Torrington ford.

I was recently looking for a used car and stopped by to chat with a sales person. I ended up talking with Rich. I let him know the criteria and in a few minutes he showed me a used car that was a perfect fit. It was clean and the price was right - in fact I think it was a real good price. We took the car for a test ride and my wife and I bought it right away. It need some minor fixes done, some paint on the door bumpers and a repair to the rear defroster. Rich took care of it and made sure that we were satisfied with the work. This was the easiest car purchase I ever made and I felt very good about it afterwards. Highly recommended - I would definitely shop here again in the future.

I needed a new car with good gas mileage. Decided on a ford fusion. What a great car and can,t say enough about the staff. My salesman Ron Laplante sure knew about the fusion very helpful in every aspect that I could have asked for. Bob White in finance was great no pressure at all a class act. I will tell everyone that I know to go see Laplante if they want to be treated in an honest way. From start to finish Torrington Ford was exceptional in accommodating my needs. Rich Decker in particular was great in understanding what I was looking for and worked with me to strike the best possible deal. The vehicle I found was perfect except it didn't have the leather interior. Rich was able to have the leather installed in all seats at a very, very reasonable cost. The vehicle was originally sold at Torrington Ford a year earlier so it came with the remaining Ford warranty, and it was in pristine condition. Rich was very easy to deal with, no high pressure - he really did seem to want to make sure I had what I needed. There were a couple of things I wanted taken care of on the vehicle, Rich kept me apprised of the progress and it was ready for delivery when it was promised. Bob White in financing was a big asset. I explained how much I wanted to finance and for how long and he found an incredible rate for me. Bob explained all the options available for additional warranties - but again there was no pressure, just seemed to want to let me know what was available to me.I was really impressed with the way I was treated even though I was purchasing a used vehicle. When the vehicle was delivered, Rich took the time to go through all the features and made sure I was comfortable with how everything worked before we left the lot.I would definitely recommend Torrington Ford to anyone - and ask for Rich.

Ron LaPlante in Sales did a great job. No pressure while at at the same time, very helpful and a sincere, down to earth guy! Ron, along with Tom, the Sales Manager, ultimately worked together with me at got me a reasonable price for both parties. Bob White in finance is awesome, knows his stuff inside and out & got me exactly what I needed to close the deal. I had been looking at this vehicle for a while. I finally walked in on a Monday morning unannounced, & closed the deal with Ron. These guys bent over backwards to make sure we got the car we wanted!! My wife and I looked at and test drove a 2011 MKZ and fell in love with it. After doing the credit app we were told we needed a large deposit to get the loan, we never thought we would even get approved. We did get approved for a no money down new car. Well guys we all know who we have to keep happy. My wife really loved the MKZ and there was no way we could ever afford a new one! I explained this to Ron, our salesmen, and he went to bat for us with Bob and did everything they could do to get us in this car. The end result, my wife is driving the MKZ to work everyday. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and they have a customer for life.

The sales staff of Torrington Ford make it easy and without gimmicks to buy a new car. So far we purchased three vehicles from them. After the sale is where the most important part comes into play. That is the service department,and how you are treated. After buying three vehicles from Torrington Ford going back to 2003 we must say this crucial aspect is just as important to the service staff as it is to you. Steve,the service dep't manager and all his staff are genuine and care about your satisfaction! We have ALWAYS been treated excellent by everyone there. We have four children and always feel safe and secure after their mechanics work on our vehicles. That is a very important part to our family. Knowing they employ mechanics who care as much about your vehicle and work on it accordingly as if it were their own.

Purchased a used Suburban here at Torrington Ford. Salesman George Rodriguez was pleasant to work with and did not pressure me into a purchase. Mark Hoxie General Manager actually went over the trade details and what my car was worth out in the marketplace. This usually isn't done with a customer, as they just make you sit in a chair and come back with a figure. Anyway Bob White was pleasant to do deal with regarding the financing and options available to me. Would highly recommend Torrington Ford!!

After numerous visits to Lombard and Crowley Ford in the attempt to find a new F150 I almost gave up looking for a new truck. All anyone seemed to have was the most expensive F150s (King Ranch, Platinum etc.) or stripped down XL work trucks. What drew me to Torrington Ford was their vast selection of F150s and F series pickups; they had everything from the stripped work trucks to the top of the line and everything in between, which is what I was looking for! Richard Decker was my salesman and after a more than fair offer for my 2006 Ford Explorer Limited and a test drive I ended up with a 2014 Ford F150 STX sport pkg 5.0L V8 w/ 3.73 E-Locker. I love the truck, I was more than pleased with the dealer experience, especially the interactions between the salesman Richard Decker and myself and I would have to say this is the best experience I have ever had at a Ford dealer and I have purchased vehicles from Crowley and Lombard Ford in the past. Torrington Ford is worth a visit when in the market for a new car especially if youre in the market for a used or new Ford Truck!

About a month before visiting Torrington Ford we had unsuccessfully visited a dealer in Watertown. After that experience we were hesitant on what to expect or if we even wanted to deal with another dealer again. Thankfully we were referred to Torrington Ford, the pressure free atmosphere we received was just what we needed, we found a vehicle, and Richard and the other staff were helpful, friendly and nice. I called Ron on Wednesday to finaly replace a truck that was totalled four weeks prior.They did not have one in stock but found one at another dealer in New Hampshire. I accepted the price quote on Thursday and they picked it up late on Friday. I had to be elsewhere on Saturday so they squeezed me in Friday night to sign the paperwork so my employee could pick it up on Saturday.. I will recommend this dealership.

I came to torrington ford after an awful experience with Center Subabru. I walked in frustrated, irritated, and ready to cry. They were so nice. They worked with me on the trade in, showed me different options within my price range. Were not pushy at all! And were terrific with the financing and getting my payments where I needed them. They really went above and beyond. I have had to call 3 times in the last few days with questions about they sync system and scheduling to have heated seats put in, and I forgot something in my trade in. Each time they were super friendly and helpful, never rude! I would tell anyone looking for a new or used car to stop by Torrington Ford first. From the manager, to the salesman, to the financial coordinator, they are all A+ individuals!

I had a great experience with Torrington Ford. I am from Stamford, CT and I drove all the way up to Torrington (90+ mins) just to work with these guys. They beat everyone's price by a lot and when they told me they were giving me the best deal, they were not lying. I would highly recommend Merrill to anyone who is interested in purchasing a car. He is a great guy with extensive knowledge on Ford as he has been selling cars for 40+ years (if I recall correctly 42 to be exact). My family has been buying Fords for over 30 years and this dealership will now have all of my business with this exceptional service.

My experience with Mark Hoxie , Bob White, and Todd at Torrington Ford Lincoln Mercury was outstanding! I've never felt more welcomed and appreciated in a dealership before. Mark was the sales manager that I dealt with who showed me the vehicle I was interested in and took the time to answer all of my specific questions about its condition, options, mileage, and benefits. Mark was courteous , energetic, respectful, and a true professional throughout the whole process! Mark's attitude was 100% positive which made the experience seamless and I truly felt well taken care of. He found the best trade in value for my old car and recommended I talk to Bob White about some financing options. Bob took the time to find the right financing that fit my needs and explained all the details clearly and patiently because I had a lot of questions. I'm glad I had his expertise in getting the right monthly payment I needed, thank you for that. Very smooth, it is a beautiful car. No warranty. Found major problem with water leak after car was day after it was purchased that there is no way dealer didn't know and didn't disclose. Water poured into car every time it rained. Fortunately I had a similar problem with my 2000 Town car and knew how to repair it. So I don't have the leak any more. Just a pain, pulled 5 gallons of water out of flooring. Other than this every one seemed very helpful at the dealership.

My husband and I have purchased a few Ford Explorers in the past from Torrington Ford Lincoln Mercury and have been very please with them. Again we returned to the dealership to look at the new EDGE cars. We asked to be helped by the sales associate named Rich Decker. We have worked with Rich before and have been very please with his friendliness and great concern for his customers. I drove an EDGE and thought it rode beautiful and loved the new Ford touch feature. Then I decided to take an EXPLORER for a drive and fell in love with it, seeing I presently had an 2006 EXPLORER already. I drove a Limited edition that was at the Torrington dealership. Not liking the black on black(grill)that I drove, I looked at a Black XLT at another dealership(when they were closed)and told Rich that I perferred the look of the XLT with the chrome grill better. I also mentioned the other dealership where I saw it. My husband and I decided to make the purchase and Rich made sure he located the XLT I saw at the other dealership, which is the 20011 FORD EXPLORER I have parked in my garage as I type this review. I'm so happy they were able to sell me an EXPLORER. I am very very happy with the performance of the FORD EXPLORER and more than satisfied with the friendly and helpful associates that go out of their way to make their customers Happy. Great job from Rich Decker, Tom Vance and Mark Hoxie. I found the car I was interested in on Autotrader and called the dealership. The salesman I was connected to was Merrill Dudley and he was terrific. When I arived he had the car waiting and was knowledgeable about this specific the car. Merrill made the car buying experience enjoyable. After deciding to buy the car, I was asked what kind of financing I was obtaining, after a short discussion with the sales manager Mark I was informed that they could get me a better interest rate than I was getting from my credit union. I decided to use their financing. This was an all around pleasant experience. I recommend this dealership and their people to everyone.

Came in one day just to browse. We were approached by a lovely man, named David Minor. We abruptly cut him off and told him we wanted to be left alone, so we could browse by ourselves in peace. After awhile, we came back into Torrington Ford and spoke to Dave in person. Both my son and I were truly impressed with his help, honesty, knowledge, and humor. Of course as potential consumers, we wanted to shop around. To go to other dealerships and other towns. A very long story short, came back and met Rich Decker, who was as instrumental as Dave. Very honest, very patient, and very smart. We went to Fairfield, Greenwich, and Litchfield, to look for a car and in the end wound up going back to Torrington Ford to deal with Dave and Rich, because we were unable to find any other dealership even close to their level of professionalism. This review is for both Torrington Ford and Meadowlands of Carmel. After a lot of research my Wife and I decide to purchase a used Honda Odyssey as our next vehicle and began to look on-line for Dealers close to use that might have one that met our needs. When we went to the Torrington Ford website they had 2. In particular they had a 2007 Odyssey Touring that had everything we wanted. You could tell from the website that the cars were at the Meadowlands of Carmel dealership.I called Torrington Ford and spoke to a sales person and asked about the Touring. He told me that all of the Dealerships had the same owner and that they could ship cars between the dealerships all the time. I then asked him if he could bring the Odyssey Touring to Torrington for a test drive. He saided he check to make sure it was available and get back to me.A few minutes later he called and said it had sold that morning but asked if I woud be interested in the other Odyssey, an EX, they had. I said I would need to talk to my wife and get back to him. We decide we would have them bring up the Odyssey EX and I called the Saleman back. He again told me he'd check into and call me back. This was late in the day and I didn't hear back from him, so the next day I call Torrington Ford and was told it wa that saleman's day off. I told the person I spoke with ath I wanted to test drive the Odyssey EX. He told me he would check and get back to me. They had also put another Odyssey up on the website that I had some questions about.Since we didn't hear back that afternoon my wife called Meadowlands of Careml and talked to a saleman thier. He gave her some information and said we could have the Odyssey ship to Torrington or come down to Carmel (Over an hour and 1/2 away) since they had a good selection of minivans.The next day my Wife stopped at Torrington Ford to ask again about having the Odyssey EX brought up for a test Drive. She was then told it had been sold and that the Odyssey touring had be sent to the auction but that they would look into bring up an Odyssey they had just acquired.Since that didn't match up with what we had been told earlier I called the Carmel Dealership. I was told they still had the EX and that the Odyssey they had just acquired was in garage being inspected and prepped but if we drove down we could test drive both that day(saturday). We had an appointment that afternoon in Hartford, over an hour away in the opposite direction but would let them know if we could get there before closing. About 30 minutes later the salesman called and said that there had been a mistake and the EX had sold but they still had the Touring. Because this was the car we were really interested in I told him we would definitely drive down and be there before they closed. My wife and I cut short our plans in Hartford and headed to Carmel, a drive of over 1 1/2 hours from where we were. About 25 minutes into the Drive the Saleman called us again "just to make sure we were coming in". When we reached the Dealership the saleman met us and said "I'm so sorry but that couple over there just purchased the Odyssey Touring and the other Odyssey was ship to another Dealership". I feel very used. The salesman obvious had a other couple in the dealership when he called us. We wasted a trip out to Carmel. Bottom line is that if they dealerships had thier act together the Odyssey Touring would have been in Torrington Saturday for us to test drive and most likely buy but to make matters worst the salesman in Carmel used us to sell the Minivan to the other couple and should have been honest with us when he called. I will never do business with either dealership or any other dealer associated with them again.

This dealership is very good at their product knowledge and helping me find the right fit for me and my family in vehicles. The dealership always has a broad range of vehicles and models, used and new, to showcase and does very well at helping customers find the right one for them. When I leased by Edge through Ford, Rich walked me through all the options before I drove off the lot, Mark explained my lease and warranty in detail and both made sure I was fully informed and had everything I could possibly need during my lease. The service department is by far the best I have ever worked with. When I have a problem with my vehicles, I call up the service department and explain the situation in detail. The service department listens to every word and helps me figure out what the problem is. The service department is quick to make an appointment for me so I'm not without the vehicle for very long. This level of service goes a long way for me and gives me the confidence that they will take care of it promptly and efficiently. I ask a lot of questions typically, and everyone at this dealership is patient, friendly and helpful enough to make sure I get an answer.

Rich is Great to deal with. Upfront and stands by his statements.I could have / should have gone elsewhere due to cost vs year and mi's on the car i bought but i liked the car, i liked Rich and they gave me a good price on my trade in. Overall i felt better dealing at Torrington ford then the other 2 dealers i visited.

I am not a fan of car shopping, this is the third time we have purchased a car at Torrington Ford. The service and parts department is a cut above the rest of the dealerships in Torrington. The sales department is flexible and works around you. We had great service when we bought out new Ford Edge at Torrington Ford, and plan on returning for more ford products in the future.Thank you

I recently took delivery of my 2008 Taurus X and I absolutely LOVE THE CAR! I found the car online, I stopped in, and the process was quick and easy. They did not try to pressure me which can be intimidating for a woman. The team at Torrington Ford worked with me and I was able to get into a car that fits my family and lifestyle. Never bothered to give Me a price even thou it said on the ford site get internet price. I went to the website of torringtonford probably the worst ive seen annoying pop ups and little content other than pictures. dont waste your time with this dealership all they do is try and get you to come in. I also drove though the dealership and they have a very bad selection. My brother went there to lease a car a the price was $120 more than the ford ad. Buyer beware with this place!

I am in the process of getting divorce and had to declare bankrupcy. I have a medically fragile 4 year old who is ventillator dependent and in a wheechair. I work in Hartford and my Escape was a 2001. My friends joked that the bottom was going to fall out on it. The guys at Torrington Ford worked hard to get me financing so that I can have a safe car. They were wonderful.

From start to finish this dealership especially Rich Decker and Lou Battistoni bent over backwards and did everything within their power to find a vehicle which fit my needs!
