I heard through word of mouth about how this dealership has great customer service and I couldn’t be more happier! The service advisor, Dave Anderson was fantastic! He assured me that my issue would be covered by the warranty since my car is still new and though I had to come back the next day since one of the parts wasn’t available, he welcomed me like I was a long time customer. I hope Mr. Anderson is still there when I come back for my regular service.

I have to share the story because these guys deserve exactly what I write! So my wife and I are on our way to Newport Rhode Island to celebrate our anniversary however it was cut short by service hybrid system in our Toyota Prius! The car was telling us to stop in a safe place immediately, thankfully we were near Portsmouth Toyota! I went into the service department and was greeted very professionally and was taken care of immediately by a service writer! Tom who was the technician took my car and scanned it and was able to reset the codes and send us back on our way so we could celebrate our anniversary! At the very end, I said how much do I owe you guys and they said no worries have a great anniversary! Who does that? No service charge? Nothing is free today but these guys felt there wasn’t a need to give us a bill and we are so grateful and thankful to Portsmouth Toyota for the love they showed! I own a small car dealership in Auburn Maine and I have done the same thing and it just warms my heart to see others do the same! THANK YOU guys for your kindness! Kevin & Tammy Gosselin

I was going to visit the Toyota of Portsmouth dealership and was amazed to see a full blown Toyota for Trump rally going on. I couldn't believe that a brand like Toyota would permit its affiliation with a political campaign let alone a campaign that has thrust its nominee into demeaning remarks about women, Mexicans, and now the outcome of the election itself before it even happens. Corporate brands must be above political campaigns and never participate in them. Dealership owners who host campaign events at their locations not only infringe on the brands they represent but also upon their own employees who may feel different about the their owners opinion. I will never buy a Toyota from Toyota of Portsmouth as a result of this campaign event. The owner could have sponsored the event at an event local like the Frank Jones Center rather than drag his employees and the Toyota brand into an affiliation that is distasteful to fully 50% of the electorate.

Issac was fantastic. I had narrowed my search down to two vehicles, the Honda CRV and the Toyota Rav4. I was all set to purchase the Honda when Issac asked me to come in for one more test drive. He had just received a Rav4 with extra features he thought I might like at a good price. He was right! I took it home that day. I really appreciate the time he spent to make sure I was put in the best vehicle for me. Big shout out to John as well for being patient on my epic test drive! Portsmith Toyota with such a pleasure to do business with. I purchased the truck of my dreams got a price I could afford. From start to finish every step of the process was fantastic . There is no real pressure to buy unless I wanted to and their entire motto is don't buy the vehicle if you do not fall in love with 100% of it. I did not feel like I was there only to make a sale I felt like a person and I will be buying a number of vehicles through this dealership again . How can you beat scheduled maintenance included? I'm a carpenter by trade so I need a truck for work but it is so nice now to be on the road driving a "work truck" that secretly hides an engine faster than a Mustang when I need it. I've been wanting a tundra for years and now I finally own one. In my experience, this dealership made my fantssy a reality

I almost did not purchase my Toyota in Portsmouth - my first visit was not a good one, salesman. Then there came a followup call from Amanda / Michelle- understanding and not pushy. We made plans to talk after June 1st. We talked - Michelle was very knowledgeable regarding the product and helped me build my truck. One of my must haves was a sunroof. She set up an appointment with a different salesperson, Lloyd. Rosenberg was the best. He was so positive, professional and down to earth. He knew what I was looking for and was able to get it done. I had been told by a prior sales person that certain things could not be done-the sunroof on an access cab model- Lloyd made them happen. Lloyd also took the time to explain every detail and got me a good trade-in amount allowing me to stay within my budget and still get what I wanted. I know it wasn't easy to find my Tacoma but he and Dan did just that. Lloyd introduced me to the gentlemen in the service department. I need to purchase and have racks installed. They explained to me that they do not have the racks I want. Instead of trying to sell me the racks they install, they directed me to two places that they would use themselves..Through the entire experience, Lloyd kept me informed as to the status.. My sunroof was installed - and the day came for me to pick it up. The Tacoma shined from bumper to bumper. Lloyd spent extra time to showed me all the features, set up my phone on bluetooth and explained the two year maintenance free package. Lloyd also walked me through the service area so I know how it all works. Signing the papers was also handled very well - smooth and simple. Mark did not try to talk me into anything but explained all my options. Overall a Great experience.. made that way by Lloyd and Michelle...

Lloyd and Dan found my Tacoma and were able to satisfy my requirements - Access cab with a sunroof. Once Michelle set me up with Lloyd it was a no hassle, professional and fun experience. This has been my second dealings with Toyota of Portsmouth. And this time was even better. I turned in a lease and re-upped for another (2016 Highlander XLE). Originally I was in contact with Michelle who was very informative and gave me all of the information I needed before I came to dealer. My sales representative was Issac Crow who was very at tentative and helpful. Although he was new he went out of his way to get me the answers and information I needed. The sales manager was Tim D'Agostino who met all of my requests and made the final deal good for all parties with out any disagreements. To complete the transaction I met with Frank Sullivan for the final documents and again "painless" and very cordial. I would return to the dealership and would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

I bought my first Camry in 2010 and loved it so much that I wanted another when I went to upgrade. I didn't trade in my old one, I gave it to my sister who needed a vehicle badly. I put her in a vehicle that I new was sound and dependable. I then picked the XLE Camry as my new vehicle and have been blown away by the changes from my old one to my new one. If you've ever had a car you love so much that when it came time to let it go that you actually took time to say goodbye to the car you can understand how much I liked my 2010 vehicle, but I can honestly say that my 2016 has totally eased my departing pains. It's only been a week since I drove off the lot with it, but I am very impressed with everything it offers. I will also add that the staff took care of my every need, from my online searches and contacts, to making an appointment in the very early morning before the staff usually shows up, they knew I was serious about putting myself into a new vehicle and didn't waste my time with the usual back and forth haggling that can sometimes slow things down. My whole deal was done quickly (about an hour) and that included the paperwork. I picked it up a couple days later and took it home. After finding the vehicle I had been researching for a week or two, it suddenly popped up on Toyota Portsmouth's website with very low miles. I almost pulled the trigger on the exact same model new, I'm pleased I didn't! These ladies and gentleman were down to earth, pleasant, and fair to deal with. The customer service was excellent and the staff was fair with my trade, they helped me get to my monthly bottom line the best they could, and kept the deal very fair for both parties. Financing and the buying process was friendly and fairly smooth, received a touch of pressure for add-ons such as GAP insurance and Bumper To Bumper Warranty, but I feel it was good natured. Lastly, they simply need to tie up some loose ends to get our deal completed and my final receipt/deal in the mail, so to get the car registered as soon as possible. The vehicle itself is in the exact great condition claimed, and I couldn't be happier with it so far. Overall a good, smooth experience, and I will be back to look at a used car for my fiance and recommend Toyota Portsmouth to my friends. I'd like to thank the crew for everything and will be in touch!

My experience with Portsmouth Toyota was great. Traded in my old 03 Highlander for a brand new 2016 Rav4. They gave me good money for my trade and went above the standards by searching for the exact vehicle color and specs I wanted. Within two days they got in the blue xle with the options I wanted. From the salesmen to management Toyota of Portsmouth crushed my expectations. I went through four dealerships before eventually driving from RI to deal with the experts at this dealership. They play no games, and are sincere as they come. Dave and Blake are some of the most knowledgeable sales guys I have ever dealt with. Adam the General Manager was right there monitoring things along the way, and Mark handled all of the paperwork seamlessly, and answered all of our questions. Hands down the best place to buy a car. I went in to have a recall done on my 2010 Tacoma on a Thursday. I was so relaxed in the showroom and felt so confident in the dealership that I ended asking Dan for a test drive in a 2015 RAV4. We were in need of a pre-owned Camry. I contacted Lloyd Rosenberg at Toyota of Portsmouth telling him in general what we were looking for. In a matter of hours he called back and said he had a low mileage trade in he wanted us to look at. Mr. Rosenberg took the time at his desk to ask us what specific features we were looking for and answered all of our questions. My wife and I never felt any pressure. Upon seeing the car and taking it for a test drive, the car exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate, and certified with very low mileage. It was even in our price range. Mr. Rosenberg walked us through the sales process and after the sale was completed took the time to go through the car with us explaining how everything worked and answered all of our questions. I have been getting my maintenance service for my Avalon at Portsmouth Toyota for the past few years. Even without an appointment, I can just drive in. Some minor issues evolved (nobody's fault) and they were corrected without pause and with extreme courtesy.There is not much more that i can say. I have been to many dealerships over the years and by far Toyota of Portsmouth was the most pleasant car buying experience I've had. There were no high pressure tactics at all. Everyone I dealt with was very nice. Left with a vehicle and not feeling like I Had to go home and take a shower after dealing with a bunch snakes.

My experience with this place was very limited (at least initially). I returned my lease here, and the staff told me i had to give them the end of lease fee and cost for over milage. It has now been 6 months and I've been fighting with toyota ever since, as they claim i never paid these fee's and that the dealer doesn't take these fees, or log the mileage, even though they have my milage in their system from the day i returned it. Toyota is now trying to say they will attack my credit based on a delinquent account. Needless to say, in my opinion, unless you are buying a car with cash id say, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. The financial department is just shady.

As noted above, this our 5th Rav4. This one seems to be the best of them all. The ride is better, the noise level is quieter and my wife gets the feeling of being in control of the road. The One thing I find to be a little trouble some is the lack of storage up front. Our '08 had more then double the storage.Love the lift up tailgate.

Brought my Tundra in for the first 5000 mile service. Arrived at 7am sharp. Got out at 9:40am. The work was a simple tire rotation, replace a tire pressure sensor, and top off the fluids. REALLY !!! over 2.5 hours. After getting part way home, I saw the service ticket/invoice was made out to the wrong owner, right truck wrong owner. The final straw that caused me to decide never to go back there again was the next morning when I went to use the windshield wash, it was empty! Would not recommend them. I contacted Toyota directly, the Toyota Customer Service said to go back and talk with them. So -1 stars for Toyota Corporate Customer Service. Makes me reconsider my choices in vehicles, as I have been a Toyota person for many years.

First and foremost I'm a Tundra guy. Recently went to Toyota of Portsmouth and picked out a new Tundra trading in my Tundra. Was looking at a nice truck in the line of many and spoke with the sales rep.. The truck I was looking at had all the features I was looking for and I was sold. Then a nice looking blacked out truck, sweet truck caught my eye. Their sales rep said it was the exact same truck just without the chrome and badges so I said I would take it. Needless to say it DOESN'T have the same features including a smaller engine. No intermittent wipers no DVD stereo. Today less than 700 miles on it it's in shop having wiper blade issue resolved. Now where I'm from if a man says something you take him at his word and shake his hand, but guess that's different up here in the east. Happy, no but you learn. Mentioned this today at dealership to an older gentleman who was nice. Did check out a nice Ford but as previously mentioned I do like the Tundras.

This is my 3rd new car from this dealership in less than a year. Bought the first 2 cars from a sales person who move out of state, I would have used this sales person again if still there but Mike and Dan helped me and that was a positive experience. I check prices and have to say, I may have saved a couple hundred bucks in Boston, MAYBE, but the ease of dealing with my home town dealership more than made up for "possibly" saving a hundred bucks or so. I find Toyota of Portsmouth's prices very competitive. Im thrilled with the price and the ease of the whole transaction. The real rock star who made things happen was sales manager Rick, he knows how to get things done! Mark, the closing agent was great to work with too. Elliott, the other sales manager helped when Rick was not in the office and he helped on a Camry purchase 4 years ago, great dealing with Elliott too. Sandy the "Big Boss" was great to work with. I guess to sum it up, I really had a positive experience working with the guys in sales.The service department is excellent too, I am sorry that I do not have their names off the top of my head but kudos' to the service and parts department guys. These guys are night and day above the slippery service manager at Exeter Subaru. Good dealership, competitive pricing, good selection and good service department. After buying 3 cars from them when I need another which will be a long time from now I will go to Toyota of Portsmouth.

Just bought 2014 Toyota Tacoma from Portsmouth Toyota..even tho I had a BETTER PRICE from another dealer...My MANY previous experiences here made me go with Portsmouth!Having bought 5 newToyotas from Toyota of Portsmouth over the past decade +, I am disappointed in the negotiation process and lack of service follow-through during my current purchase..Price negotiations ended up with a $1000 discount from MSRP plus a $8000 (renegotiated up from original $5000) trade-in allowance...Later, when I recalculated the final (paid) price, I found I OVER PAID by $1000.. Called the salesman and he said that the increase and "other" recalculations accounted for the increased trade-in amount, etc., which then NEGATED the original $1000 discount...BS!ALSO... I asked for a simple removal of four wheel locks from my old truck to be installed on my new vehicle....that would cost $55.00 for a simple five minute job.! BS!I will give the salesman credit for personally removing four sandbag weights from old vehicle and putting them on my new truck..thanks!All in all, for a longtime customer, with excellent previous relationship with Portsmouth Toyota, I was extremely disappointed in that acknowledgement and current reception.Michael Horn

The dealer itself was fine. The salesperson, Frank, did a very good job explaining everything, being sure all the while that we felt good about our choices.My only real concern was the hour we waited, after working with the finance man, to get the vehicle. No explanation was given other than, "I don't understand what's taking so long." It wouldn't have been so bad, but we were told once we made the deal that the car would go right in and get cleaned, etc. So after waiting for 45 minutes to get in with the finance man, then 45 minutes with him, we figured the car would be ready. To top it off when we got home the check-tire light was on. The next day the dealer checked it and said that the tire pressure should have been checked during set up for delivery, but it didn't appear that it had.As to price, we couldn't get any discount off the sticker price, and although they gave us $500 additional dollars for our trade, they refused our counter for a measly $300 more.Over all; beautiful vehicle, and good service from Frank. Good guy!

I wasn't expecting to have to buy a new car, however when repairs on my previous car were going to be more than they were worth we started looking around. I had looked at and test drove another brand of vehicle, and came to Portsmouth Toyota with no previous Toyota experience. We met with Mike Langmaid and test drove both a previously owned Corola and Camray. We liked the Camray better and decided that was the one for us. We didn't have the trade in vehicle at the time of the test drive, but we made an appointment to come back with it the next day and Mike worked with us to get the best value for our trade. He was really great. He kept our five year old entertained while we were signing the paperwork and it seemed that he had as much fun as she did! She even got to meet Harley and Tucker and was thrilled! I couldn't be happier with the low pressure sales approach, friendliness and convenience of working with both Mike and Toyota of Porstmouth.

I started to research cars online and dealt with Michelle at Toyota of Portsmouth. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and tried to answer my questions and concerns. Originally we thought the car I wanted would be a little high but in the end the entire team worked out the deal that met my criteria. She explained my options and asked me to come in when I could. No pressure. I ended up coming in and met with Thom. Again, friendly, knowledgeable and most of all easy to deal with. On this first visit I briefly met with Shelia, Manager.On my second visit with Thom and Shelia, I brought my wife and they were able to make a deal on a new car (Highlander) lease in a very short time, to my terms. Painless. Most of all i really liked the low pressure sales and deal making experience. I believe that any future contact or concerns I have will be satisfied in the same professional & friendly manner

We originally purchased a 2005 Camry XLE from Portsmouth Toyota and had a good experience. Through the years we have always had good service from the techs in the shop - expensive, but did quality work. We just traded in the Camry for a new Prius and Mike Langmaid was friendly as well as cooperative in working out a reasonable price for the new car. Michelle was prompt on her e-mail responses to questions and no one at the dealership made us feel pressured or that we were expecting too much for the price. We will continue to work with the dealership for maintenance on the new car and look forward to a good relationship.

Buying/leasing a new vehicle was never easier. I had researched the vehicle on-line and was given a quote before I even stepped through the door. Lloyd happened to be the salesperson greeting me and made me feel very comfortable. No high pressure or any of those unpleasantries that happen at some dealerships. Everyone at the dealership was extremely cordial and willing to help where possible. Negotiating a price involving my trade-in was basically non-existant. Lloyd brought back the figures and we shook hands on the spot. It has never been this simple. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

My wife and I were looking for a Tacoma, and he took the time to explore the variety of options available. We were not pleased with the initial trade-in value offered by the sales manager for our van.We left the dealership, but really wanted the Tacoma that just arrived on a flatbed. We walked in to the dealership and it was an hour before closing. It was pouring rain outside and we asked to see a Prius Persona. Mike Lane said he would be helping us. He proceeded to talk only to my husband and wouldn't look or speak to me. He kept spinning his watch and licking his lips while he was talking to John. He was giving me a hard time about the cars whenever I asked a question. When he finally pulled out the key for the vehicle Mike made us walk through the rain to get the car, had me sit in the back seat and proceeded to ignore me. He finally only started to speak directly to me when my husband spoke up and said he should talk to me because I handle the numbers. He then proceeded to have us park the car after trying to heckle me about numbers. It was still raining out and he had us put the car back where it was parked in the lot. I mean I'm no princess typically but when you are going to a dealership to purchase a vehicle and the salesman doesn't even really want to deal with you, that doesn't make for very good business in my book. I mean HE wouldn't even look at me. He kept talking directly to my husband. And, he put us in a car way out of our price range. Never going back there again. No thank you.

do not get your car serviced here ive had to many problems dealing with them and the work is not done correctly. they say certified techs well i dont think so anyone with common sense would not do what they did to my car i had all 4 tire valves on my 4 runner leaking air b/c they were loosend. now this does not just happen someone with a tool had to loosen them purposely i guess to get me to come back i dont really know but i do not trust them. im writing this review b/c i do not want you to spend your hard earned money on bad workman ship. it looks nice from the outside but the work is just not done right.

I went to this dealership because of TV ads. my first impression was good got to test drive Rav 4 was very satisfied. Sat down with sslesman to figure out financing, took a little give and take. i put a $500.00 deposit them on car left with a good feeling.. My experience went very wrong for then, on. these people are horrible..they gave me a hard time about my loan,needed a co signer after 24hrs. didn t tell me the first day, left me a voice mail..got co signer. still bad. my son and I went to pick up car ,he took time off from work. after many problems I told them I was going to go to another dealer,i was being treated with most disrespect I needed to leave. they told me my $500 deposit was non-refundable it was an acquisition fee. If i cancelled to deal I would loose my money. So literaaly I had no choice, loose my money or deal with them,I signed for the car..Love my Rav4 will not go back for service, afraid they will ruin my car..If any of these men's wives or mothers were treated the way I was and how they could be so rude and underhaned I m sure they would not return here either

I did not buy a car but I was involved in a deal. I was helping a family member buy a car. She had gone through everything on a Monday. She test drove a car but it was a little out of the price range. So the dealership told her they would get one for her that would fit the budget. She could have it on Wednesday, she was all set, pick it up drive away. She put a deposit down that would go towards the car. On Wednesday after going back and forth about money, paperwork, general car buying BS, she decided she wouldn't buy there and go elsewhere. She called to say she would be in to get her $500 back. A voicemail was received saying she would not get her money back, it was the dealerships. Without going into detail this was the rudest, most unprofessional, disrepectful voicemail I have ever heard. This is coming from a manager of a car dealership expecting to sell a car.When I met him on Thursday, I was met with the same rudeness and disrespect. As I was trying to get an explanation out of Rick the Sales Manager, he walked away mid sentance and I never saw him again. He retreated to his office never to be seen again and passed me off to Elliot who actually talked to me, explained a few things to me, and probably is a SOLE reason why my family member still bought her car there. Come to find out that $500 "deposit", was used as a finder's fee and was never relayed to her.Her salesman, Mike Lane, was no where to be seen during this whole ordeal and his only response to me when this was going down was "well she's getting a great deal".The owner's hotline BS that's advertised "call me anytime, I'll help you", complete and total crap.

Our first experience with Lowell was about a year ago. I was one of those rare occasions where buying a car was enjoyable. We left with a new Venza That day. On Saturday, July 28 we returned to Toyota of Portsmouth to try out a 2012 4runner. We specifically asked for Lowell. I was impressed with our salesperson Lowell Kjenstad. He was friendly without being overly pushy which is important for someone who is sales-phobic. I initially started to go to Toyota of Portsmouth for service on my Prius after a less than satisfactory experience at another Toyota dealership in the area. I had such a great experience with the service department that when we decided to get a Highlander Hybrid, it was a no-brainer. Always nervous buying a new vehicle, I had a lot of questions. Lowell was not only able to answer all my questions, he was able to get the vehicle we wanted, even given the less than great availability of Hylander Hybrids in this area. Lowell has continued to be very attentive and friendly. It is nice to find someone in sales that continues to be concerned with your satisfaction even after the sale is final.

This is why I was so surprised by the laid back, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable attitude of my visit to Toyota of Portsmouth!I knew exactly what I wanted when I went there (a used Toyota Highlander Hybrid), and it was nice to work with a salesperson who actually knew the vehicle thoroughly and took the time to review it with me and to better help me understand the vehicle.I never felt any pressure, certainly felt that the salesperson (and the Sales Manager) were honest, and almost felt like I was the pushy one with all my questions and requests for information about additional options. I even wound up pushing for information on an extended Platinum warranty coverage which I added to the vehicle I wound up buying. Yay! I look forward to working with them again, and really do give them props for just being incredibly helpful.

I went to Portsmouth after visiting some other dealers where I walked out due to sales pressure. Lowell greeted me with an easy approach to answer all my questions. There was never a feeling of pressure to buy any I did not want. The price negociation was smooth and resulted in me getting the truck I wanted. I would go back to them for my next purchace.

My experience at Toyota of Portsmouth was absolutely fabulous!! David Perry helped me the entire time to get me the car I wanted with the right circumstances. He was patient with me while I decided what was right for me and I never felt any pressure from him. I was a first timer for buying a brand new car, and for me this was a big decision. David understood which eased the process plus he bent over backwards to get me the right price for my trade in and to get my payments to where I wanted them. We needed to purchase a car as the older of our two existing vehicles was fast approaching the end of its life (at least for us). We initially read several on-line reviews of cars in $20k - $25k range and the Camry faired well. We owned a Camry several years ago and had good memories of it. My wife had noticed some sale adds for this particular dealer so we elected to go there for a test drive. Mr. Hanson greeted us when we arrived and identified the various available Camrys in the lot. My wife noticed a new Prius and asked if we could also test drive that. Mr. Hanson went over pricing and the Prius cost was not significantly greater than the Camry so we elected to test drive both models (Camry and Prius). During our test drives, Mr. Hanson pointed out various features of both cars. My wife and I both found Mr. Hanson to be pleasant, non-aggressive and very good at presenting relevant information. After our drives, we elected to purchase the Prius. During the subsequent process, we found the various dealer personnel we dealt with to be both courteous and professional.

I've had my Tacoma for a year now and am still impressed with the customer service I've received at Portsmouth Toyota. My initial purchase was excellent. My sales person Patrick was very helpful and respectful to me as a customer. His knowledge of my vehicle was impressive. I cannot say enough good things about the sales manager Dave Perry. He bent over backwards to get me the exact vehicle I was looking for at the price I wanted. His sense of humor and kindness he showed my whole family was much appreciated. I have recommended this dealership to all my friends and family since the purchase. My recommendations have increased since my routine service visits. My truck is taken in right away and returned to me with all work done very quickly. While I am there I make it a point to stop and see Dave Perry. He doesn't hesitate to make time for me, asking if I need anything and helping with accessories. On one visit I mentioned wanting to have a ski rack. I recently sought out a long time "want" of an FJ Cruiser. I was pretty particular on what I wanted and had been perusing dealerships for months. Long ago I had contacted David Perry at Portsmouth Toyota and let him know of my want and told him if ever something came up, give me a call.In April, David had an FJ come into his lot and he immediately notified me of the opportunity. Although he applied no pressure for me to purchase, he went above and beyond by certifying the vehicle, cleaning it and getting it to me for a test drive.It was a perfect fit for what I wanted and we began the purchase process. From initial negotiations to final closing of paperwork, David and Portsmouth Toyota were efficient, courteous and professional. One of my hardest sells when buying a car is how long the process seems to take, once you've established a price and deal. Not at Portsmouth~ I was in and out in record time!Once the deal was settled and I was on my way, again, I was impressed by the overall efficiency of the dealership: Plates on, car inspected, cleaned and ready to go as promised. For a guy with many years auto experience as he claimed Lowell didn't know much about the prouduct. Being in sales all my life this could only be from lack of training, and quality management. This was confirmed after meeting Mr. Perry the sales manager. He was rude and explained to me that "Not everyone could afford a Toyota." which I found pleasant for a opening welcome line. I asked to speak to someone higher up, but Mr. Perry told me "Sandy" doesn't talk to customers and he's lucky he moves off his ass at all. As, you can see the respect level here is tremendous. What was great is the bright new dealership. What was bad was this old style of car dealing. Needless to say I can afford a Toyota and bought two Camrys at Prime Toyota in Saco, Maine. Where I was treated with respect.

I arrived at the dealership after driving 5 days from Texas and my car was damaged by hail and wrecks. I was given the best deal possible as a trade in and was treated very well. I plan to use this dealership and want Lowell to be involved in every trade in I make in the future. I did have to wait a while for the person who does the paperwork, everything else was great. I was given hotdogs to eat, Lowell helped me remove my items and put them in the new Prius. All was great.

RUDE RUDE RUDE, would never recommend this dealership to anyone who doesn't want to be given the experience I had. First off, Mike Lane was not informative at all, theres nothing like a salesperson that tells you about the car only after staring at the window sticker, or quickly looking around when in the test drive pointing out the obvious. Wasn't pressured at first, but as soon as we sat down for pricing information, all I felt like Mike was trying to do was sell, even though I had made it clear it wasn't going to happen. And to make it worse, he brought out the Sales Manager Dave Perry immediately after informing him that the number was too high. Dave then insulted me for telling him I could get another car brand new for the same price somewhere else. Never have been spoken to like that from a manager, all I can say is that I live here, and I will never recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a dealership that gives you respect.

Service was performed well and on schedule. The workmanship was excellent. For our purchase Mike and Mark were very friendly and open. They worked around our schedule. They provided an appointment early on Saturday to go over the required paperwork and purchase forms when our schedule prevented the offered late morning option. The price was acceptable to us based upon research that we had done with Edmunds and Consumer Reports. We would recommend your team to anyone who is looking to purchase a Toyota.

Business manager was deceitful and unthethical. Business manager stated that he would hold on submitting the lease agreement pending submittal of our business finacial information so we could qualify for a $500 Toyota rebate. We had to ask for the rebate (they never offered it) and they submitted the lease agreement before we provided the finacial info.

She gained my trust and was ultimetly responsible for why i drove to the dearship. Once at the dealership I was introduced to Gary who helped close the deal and put me in a new 2010 Highlander SE. I shopped for a new Toyota Highlander at this dealer. My initial impression was good: This was a smaller dealer, and didn't feel as slimy as some of the other dealerships I've been in. I was able to test drive two Highlanders and spend a good amount of time discussing the cars.Unfortunately, that was part of my mistake, as I think the employee felt he had spent enough time with me that I needed to buy the car now. There was a LOT of pressure to put down a deposit. It was supposedly to protect me since there were only a few models left on the lot, but I knew it was instead to make me more likely to buy the car. I told the salesman I would be back in with my wife. He asked when the earliest I could come was. I told him I had a baby and it was difficult to arrange, but he said he'd see me in the next day or two.And that's when the calls started. To both me and my wife's number, which I don't even remember giving him. I think we received a total of TWELVE calls over the course of one week. I ended up finding a different make car that I liked, but if I had gone with a Toyota I would have probably gone to another dealer, because the pressure at this place was really unwelcome and I am 100% positive if I had gone in again with my wife they would have chained me up until I purchased. Also, they tried to deal all in monthly numbers, avoiding the final price, and when I got quotes from other dealers their quote was literally $3000 higher.

This is the second Toyota Highlander I purchased from this dealer. The experience was excellent and the deal was financially favorable. It took all of 2 hours to trade in my 2007 Highlander and drive out with a new 2010 Highlander. I would highly recommend Toyaota of Portsmouth.

I've bought alot of cars in my 52 years, but this was the first time I was truly impresseed by the way I was treated. I started by talking to my local dealer. Where I got my last 2 Toyotas. Never after leaving Danvers did I ever feel good or like someone cared. This time was just as bad only difference this time I did'nt leave with a new car. I also visited the dealer in Haverhill (actually more local than Danvers)let me just say never ever again. What rock did these guys crawl from under. A friend had just got a new rav4 from the dealer in Portsmouth NH. and really liked them, so i contacted them by email before driving there. A woman named Michelle responded within 20min or so. They had the Venza that I wanted and I drove up that afternoon. The place is closer than I thought. Michelle was very helpful and just as pleasant. She introduced me to Pat Fogarty who showed me my new Venza and made sure I knew all about it. That was way more than the other guys did. we came to an agreement on my trade and I left that day with my new Venza. I felt that these guys were intrested with more than this one sale. They want me to keep coming back which I will.

You've got to love this. I walk in and tell the dealer I make straight forward deals, no BS. He said no problem. I test drove three cars with no issues, then we went into the showroom and the games began:1. Asked for an invoice and this guys said two things "What's an invoice" & "I'm new here" well after I explained what an invoice was he said "We have never done that here and I don't think the manager will do this." Well after a 5 minute discussion he finally appeared with, ta-d, the invoice. Which we know is crap but its bettter than dealing with the sticker.2. I offered a little bit over the invoice, he said, "they will not go for it" I said, "that's my deal" He went back and forth four times paying the "I'm on your side bull" I kept telling him my price was it, he kept telling me "Oh I'm new" "I relaly want to make this deal" "You're not going to get invoice or near invoice on this car." "meet us half way, isn't that really the best ethical deal for the both of us?" Well this did not work out.3. I asked for my keys to my car back, he finally gave them back to me after too more attempts to close the deal. i told him I was going to another delaership to make the deal he said, "Look at how poorly ranked they are on dealerrater.com you don't want to deal with them and they will never make the deal like that...ever." Guess what not only did I make the deal with the other vendor but $650 below the invoice price Portsmouth gave me. In total I saved nearly $1000 by not going with Portsmouth.Thanks Portsmouth Toyota, for letting me know about this web site. The best thing you did for me is give me a venue for trashing you.

Everyone I dealt with at the dealership was very helpful. they were willing to work with me and my schedule. They were also very understanding that I wasn't going to walk off the lot with the truck until I was completely satisfied with all the info they had given me and all the facts about the truck, payments...etc... They were also not pushy or rude in any way, and even though I dealt with more people than I normally would during a sale, each and every one was very helpful and informative and made the whole process very easy, I didn't have to provide the same information 5 different times.

I would have bought my car from them but apparently the owner of this dealership likes to drive cars and not sell them! I bought a car they advertised on line, was ready to drive up... found out the owner had the car... they tried for 3 days to call this guy (okay, cell phones???) - come Saturday I was set to go up and do the deal... got a call - the car wasn't there... Finally Monday came and the owner has decided to keep this vehicle for himself... he likes it. Okay - is this a car dealer or what???
