We recently had our car serviced by Toyota of Stamford and worked with Emanuel Paiz. Emanuel was a pleasure with which to work with throughout the process. He fully explained the issues, worked hard to get the job performed the same day and made us aware of alternative arrangements with which to pick up the car. The service was performed to my satisfaction and the price was very reasonable. I would be happy to work with Emanuel again!

Rich Breksa of Service has been managing the service of my cars for years. I have never received any repairs or maintenance service that has been less than excellent. I always feel he has the customers' concerns and interest as his top priority.I just purchased a 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE from Ron Cruz. He really took the time to listen to what I needed from a car and what would keep me feeling safe and comfortable in a car within my price range.

Tires were not rotated even though I paid for the service!! I was lied to - when confronted the serv tech didn't believe me. There is no gain whatsoever for me to lie about something so minor. It is far more disappointing knowing I will need to choose an alternate shop after having dealt with toyota of stamford for so many years. I've never had this problem and it's worse knowing it came from a dealership. Please take my advice, if you still decide to take your car to them, make sure they do the work you paid for.

The salesperson and sale manager were good with the car purchase but the service afterwards is unsatisfactory. The finance manager Anthony Capolupo tried hard to sell me the extended warranty and claimed it was fully refundable within 30 days. So I bought it on spot buy decided to cancel it the next day when I found out it was grossly overpriced. I went to the dealership and did the paper work right away. I also checked with him a week later to be sure the cancellation was filed. Three weeks went by, no refund was received and I had to call TOYOTA myself to find out what is going on and guess what they never received a cancellation request. The worse thing is TOYOTA said they could not refund the full amount. I called Anthony to ask him to rectify the situation and he just gave the runaround without taking any responsibilities.Think twice before you make a purchase there, you will not be treated the same once money is out of your pocket. Do not trust whatever they said, request everything in writing with a signature.

We had complex problems with our 2006 Sienna van. There was a leak into the passenger compartment that had caused mold on the carpeting. Their was a nasty odor. Also, there were problems with the rear door and a side door that would not open. The Service Manager, Jamie Bacon, helped us through every step of the way. They took time to figure out where the leak was coming from, and THEN replaced the carpeting. The van was at the dealership for more than a week to get things right. He accepted our insurance coverage as payment in full and threw in some 'extras', which was very helpful. Then, they delivered the car to our home! In the past we went to a different dealership farther from home to get good service. From now on, it will be Toyota of Stamford.

My husband and I both purchased Toyotas in 2007 and have been servicing our cars regularly with Rich Breska and the rest of the service team. We could not ask for a better experience. Our cars are still performing superbly and the service team has always been polite and attentive. Rich apologized to me for the inconvenience of their physical renovation of the service department but honestly it was not an issue at all for me. Anything to improve a facility is worth it! I was even offered a hamburger for lunch which I declined only because I had just finished lunch. Kudos to Rich and the rest of the team for always giving us s positive experience!

She is a very pleasant and helpful individual who has goes out of her way to see to it that I receive a high level of service. She gets me a ride to work as soon as possible and answers all my questions by taking the time explain to me any pending issues in a knowledgeable manner. When I left she personally went and got my car for me and drove it around to the front of the service area. Rich provides an always smiling face and professional attention to detail on each of the three service appointments involving tire rotation and oil change. Rich provides an uncommon attention to detail which allowed the service to be performed within one hour of arrival. I love this dealership which provides wifi service and a waiting room with coffee and a place to work while waiting. Great dealership and service by Rich worthy of five star excellence.

I had my tailgate repaired here, took longer than expected but that's fine they didn't have it in the warehouse. The person who was in charge of my vehicle was David Cotaling (the manager). My negative experience was that I was promised a full gas tank and vehicle would be returned to me back to the way it was. It wasn't. Gas tank was not full, they increased my mileage, and they returned my vehicle back to me filthy. My son's blanket was in the trunk, his car seat holder was filthy with dirt and the passenger console had shoe marks on it. What made it worse was how I received an email on MY opinion to give them a rating. I put fair and explained why. Not too long later, I receive an email from the manager stating to please give them a good review making it sound like a demand. The rating is a customer's opinion on how the service was, not a demand of what it should be for their benefit! Disappointed with the manager! Not good managing skills with customer service.

I went in to get a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. They claimed that oil prices have gone up so it would cost more. Price changed from $75 to $130. Oil did not go up. I called another dealer. They informed me that Toyota raised prices on April 1st, but not nearly that much. They told me that it is $7.50 per quart and $6 for a filter. Service said it would be $70 for the oil change and $20 for the tire rotation. I can believe a $15 increase but not a $55 increase.

It was time for the brakes to be fixed up and I was able to come in and have the repair done on a time frame good for me. Brian was fully aware of my situation and took care of all my concerns without any hassles and to my great satisfaction. Even better, when it was noticed by myself and the parts manager, Malik Pracha, that there was still a problem with the brakes, we let Brian know and they were promptly dealt with the next day as I waited. Dealing with people like Brian and Malik make me envious; I can only imagine what it';s like to work with such professionals on the job. This isn't the first time Brian and Malik have been a great help for me - last year they were there when my Sierra got rear-ended, and again they were complete professionals dedicated to helping me get my car back on the road ASAP. I hope to be seeing Brian and Mallik at Toyota of Stamford for years to come. Thanks guys!

I called into Toyota of Stamford after having such a bad experience with another local Toyota dealer I wasn't going to lease a Camry at all even though that's the car I wanted. After a conversation over the phone with the Stamford sales rep. Steve Sentementes and his assistant Rosanna they told me they had the exact car I wanted on the lot and their price literally saved me over a thousand dollars. Within two hours of that call I was driving home in my new Camry. I found everyone I worked with at Toyota of Stamford friendly, honest, and professional from another man named Steve that showed me my new car to the woman in financing. Perhaps my expectations of the speed at which such an issue could be resolved were not reasonable. The Toyota Camry excessive oil consumption issue was finally recognized by Toyota and Stamford Toyota performed the repair, gave me a free loaner and I was kept apprised of the status of the repair the entire time. I really appreciate the assistance these guys provided.

I had some issues when I first contacted for service. I bought my car here back in 2010. When I tried to contact them for extended warranty reimbursement, they were very un-responsive. I had to call more than 10 times. The first 5 times, I got forwarded to a voicemail. I promptly left a message but no one ever called back. The next few time after insisting, someone took my message and promised to hand deliver it to the relevant person. Again no response. I had to repeat this cycle few more times. Then I contacted them through the Facebook page which was very effective. I immediately got the attention of the sales manager who took care of things quickly. I was asked to contact Toyota and get a letter. As soon as I did that, the very next day my check was mailed to me. I am yet to receive it, but I'm happy that they were able to take care of it immediately. I rode a roller coaster of customer service, initially it was very bad and as soon as I got their attention, it was very quick and helpful. I would also recommend that they have better systems in place so that all requests are handled rather than only the requests that are escalated. Good luck to Toyota of Stamford to make it happen.

On Monday, the day after the Super Bowl, I decided it was time to finally buy a new SUV. I'd been doing my homework for some time and narrowed my search down to 2 or 3. While visiting dealerships I discovered really only one was ready to assist me, Toyota of Stamford. While other dealers were still covered in snow and some not even open. The staff at Toyota of Stamford had removed the snow off of more than 100 vehicles and the grounds itself. It truly made the dealership look like its own little oasis. The only thing that impressed me more was how easy the staff at Toyota of Stamford was to work with. From the salesperson I worked with to the Sales Manager who gave me a great price on my new SUV and my trade, Toyota of Stamford is top notch. The staff at Toyota of Stamford truly take pride in what they do. Great job Toyota of Stamford!!!

Fantastic sales experience and the finance department was a delight! Worked with the Internet Department, who handled the transaction all the way through, and I had my vehicle in no time. Everyone in the dealership did a fantastic job. For starters, there has not been one visit where you did not have at least one customer in there screaming about problems they had with your service. There was one time I remember everyone making fun of a caller who asked what they thought was to be a ridiculous question. They made fun of the caller, back and forth telling joke after joke to every co-worker that walked by at the callers expense. Isnt that a little immature and unprofessional especially in front of other customers? Not everyone has the experience of your employees or lack thereof I should say. That same day I reported one of your drivers for speeding off in someones car that is putting their trust in you while they leave it for a service. The clerk gave a half smile, proceeded to speak in Spanish over the Nextel and then transitioned back to English stating slow down, take it easy with the customer cars. Little did he know just because I dont look Spanish I understand it and in Spanish he told him something to the effect of you cant be doing that with customers standing right there. I could not help but to think, I hope one of the owners catch them in the act of mistreating their vehicle. From the beginning I have had nothing but issues with your service department. If youre unclear with the history, please allow me to bring you up to speed again. After my purchase I brought my car back to you to be looked at because my fog lights had an excessive amount of condensation in them. Upon arrival, I was expecting to be approached with great customer service, which I was told to expect before my purchase. Instead of assistance, I was walked outside with one of your service clerks who quickly tried to turn it around on me. He told me he had seen this before and there is no way it was the car. He then he asked me What did I Hit. Before I knew it he went back in and one at a time, service clerk after service clerk appeared which all concurred with his theory. It was only after I mentioned that I was going to take the car to another mechanic that their tuned changed. After inspection it was discovered to be a Factory Defect, a brake in the seal. How smart did they look now? The next issue came with the peeling of the paint on the inside back passenger wheel well. AGAIN, I am back at Toyota, AGAIN it turned into a group spectacle and AGAIN the blame was turned on Me. I was told I probably have hit a pothole or it could have been from the salt and ice during the winters. Funny thing is, it wasnt winter, the car was brand new and it was only peeling in one spot. After waiting for an adjuster to look at it, it was discovered to be defective AGAIN!! Picking up the car after the replacement work was completed I noticed the replacement piece looked to be defective. After a song and a dance and being reassured that if the paint peeled it would be replaced, frustrated I left. The next issue I had was when I had your facility put rain guards on my car. When I got my car back I noticed approximately two inch scratch down the outside middle of my window. Once AGAIN the blame was quickly turned elsewhere. I was told the scratch was most likely caused but a rock/salt stuck in the window rubber and when the window was rolled up it was scratched. Funny thing is AGAIN there was no snow and it was NOT there before I dropped it off. Your service people finally did something right, they took pictures of my whole car from every angle which later came back to bite them when they tried to say there was no way it happened there. After looking at picture after picture, no scratch was on the window but there was one clearly visible when I picked up my car. When the employee who completed the installation was asked about it, he admitted to leaning on the window with a tool in his hand. You in fact were present and were involved in this issue. To your credit you did offer to replace the window at no charge but told me you were not responsible to re tint the window. As I booked my most recent appointment for the 50,000 oil change and tire rotation, I mentioned that I had a coupon for a discount to be applied on any SERVICE and a coupon for a free car wash with any SERVICE. I was told to present them at the time of the write up, which I did. At the time of the write up I was told that I could use the free wash coupon for that SERVICE but unfortunately, I would have to come back during the week because they were booked. The kicker is the car wash coupon was valid for the SERVICE, but I was unable to use the discount coupon because you dont consider the 50,000-mile to be a SERVICE. How can it be considered a SERVICE for one and not the other? Can you clarify? I asked for Toyota to check my brakes because they sounded like they were grinding and I was told that you dont do that with a 50,000-mile oil change? I had to explain that you were rotating the tires so why wouldnt you check the brakes. If this were the case then why is it that the brakes were checked on all my other scheduled maintenances? When my car was finished the clerk told me that they did not rotate my tires because I needed new tires and a wheel alignment but my brakes were good. How did you check my brakes if the tires were never removed? I asked if there was any warranty for the tires and I was told that I was lucky to make 50,000. Upon doing research on my own I discovered that on my tires there is in fact a 60,000 mile limited warranty. The stipulations are that the tires had to be rotated every 5000 miles, which they were and I had to have a wheel alignment once a year or every 10,000 miles. Dont you think as Toyota being my primary source for my vehicles maintenance something should have been said about that? No, it was Never Mentioned, but the clerk was quick to mention that it was going to cost almost $1200 for new tires and an alignment. The last thing I want to mention is that fact that I always have to call about 30 minutes before you close because I never hear from you all day even though I make an appointment and drop my car off between 7-730 am. I am always told the earlier I drop it off, the earlier I will get it back. That has yet to be the case. When I called last time I was told my car was finished and the paper work was being completed as we spoke. Can I ask why when I got there my paper work was not even started yet? Are you in the business or make it a habit of being untruthful to your customers? I know for a fact I am not alone because as I mentioned before, there is always someone arguing with your service people every time I have been there. Thanks,Anthony

We bought a new Highlander two years ago from Toyota of Stamford and focused on them for our most recent small SUV purchase. It was between a Honda CRV and the RAV4.The lease vehicle return process at Honda was tedious, so we were somewhat down on Honda as a result. This year at Toyota we were fortunate to get Albert Gonzalez as our salesman. He was exactly what we like in a salesperson. Informed about the product, but not trying to close the deal at every turn. We made a couple of visits to test drive and examine the CRV, and each time Albert was patient and professional. No hard sell whatsoever. Once we settled on the vehicle and the price we had to contend with the predictably annoying Finance and Insurance ritual, where (at any car dealership) they try to sell you high margin products you do not want or need. In our case we had to deal with not only an over market "doc fee" , but an attempt to charge sales tax on the doc fee. Sadly, because most people lease their vehicles, they don't focus on the final capital cost with all the fees and taxes loaded on. It's only the monthly payment that is emphasized. Notwithstanding the aforementioned annoyance, the buying experience with Albert was very good. We would recommend him to anyone interested in a Toyota product.

He took the time to let me know the differences between leasing and financing. I was surprised to know that i could drive a new car and still be in the monthly payment range that i wanted. Buying my new Camry Hybrid at Toyota of Stamford was an excellent experience. The salesman, Tom Purcell, spent a couple of hours with me while I looked at various Toyota models, sat with me in the cars, and showed me all their controls. I never felt rushed, and when I had decided on the Camry, the finance director, Anthony Capolupo, didn't "up" the price as if the salesman had forgotten something and was very helpful when I decided to trade in my 16-year-old Honda. When the car arrived, Tom showed my husband and me over the car with all its bells and whistles. All in all, a delightful experience.

What a great experience I had with Stamford Toyota and specifically Elise Brown my sales rep. I went in needing a small car to commute to work, but not know which one I was really only looking. Went there after seeing a listing for Toyota Camry priced at $14,995. Called up to confirm if the car was still available - they said it was. This turned out to be just a bait and switch. As soon as I went there (on the same day as I called up), Justin and Steve said - "Sorry, the car seems to be sold". However they offered me another camry listed at $16,995 and immediately brought it down to $15,995. All good till here. When I went back after 2 days to finalize the deal, I told them I wasn't interested in buying the extended platinum warranty (7 years, 100k miles) for $1350. The guy, Anthony, who sells the warranty wasn't pleased. Steve said he could talk to the GM to finalize the deal for $15,995 but Anthony won't let him. He kept meddling in our talks - kept saying that the car was more worth than $15,995. Finally, Anthony proposed that we would get the car for $15995 only if we buy the warranty from him (which is supposed to be optional) else we would have to pay $16,200!!! How can they force us to buy an optional warranty and how is it supposed to affect the base price of the car?? We walked out and decided to never go there again.

Went to Toyota of Stamford for test drive , met with Tom Purcell. We tried a Rav4 and just too small for us and we were about to move on when he suggested we might like a Venza,. He said he had one himself and liked it . We were not even familiar with it and took a test drive and it was perfect for our needs. He called me later with good fair price and we decided to get it . They located the color and seats we wanted as our first choice and whole process was very professional, without pressure and no annoying nickel and dimming that we had experienced at other dealers. I have purchased my first used certified Toyota Corolla from the dealer. I found the price quite reasonable and happy with overall process of financing and final delivery. My wife and I showed up 1 hour before closing on a Saturday and left a half hour after closing having purchased the exact car my wife wanted for a great price. Steve Sentementes handled the sale of the car smoothly and was ontop of all of the details so that the car was delivered to us in perfect condition. Anthony Capolupo handled the paperwork without a hitch and gave us good advice on which warranty to buy, advice which we followed. John Linn, the General Manager, even pointed out a scratch during the sales process he would repaint, a scratch we didn't even notice.These guys are great. I gave this dealership an Excellent review because from the minute I decided on leasing an Avalon, I received a detailed description of the car and all its advantages from John Henesy, who in turn referred me to Alfonso. Alfonso made the "paperwork" seem like a breeze. He was quick and efficient and very thorough. Ill start with a short summary of my experience at Toyota of Stamford, then Ill explain my situation: I now own a car that gets much less gas mileage then advertised, feel like I overpaid by quite a bit, had my credit score unnecessarily lowered (since they ran my credit twice), received a "coupon book" that doesnt have what they claimed it did and genuinely feel like I've been lied to and taken advantage of in every way possible. If we just had one or two things go wrong, I would have never posted a long, negative review...but there were so many annoying things that happened, that I felt the need to take the time to write this. Please read on for details and the full story:I'd like to start by saying I expect nothing to come from this; The deal is done, we own the car, it's all over. I'm not writing this review to try and "get something", I just want to warn everyone of what to expect from Toyota of Stamford. I'd also like to point out I'm not using anyone's name from the dealership, as I don't want to get anyone in trouble. Everyone's allowed to have bad days...but that doesn't mean I have to sit there and take it when someone treats me badly.I'll start from the beginning: I first visited Toyota of Stamford with my wife a few months ago (August 2013) when we were looking for a new SUV. We had visited pretty much every single local dealership and after arriving at Toyota of Stamford, we were approached by a stereotypical "sleazy used car salesperson". We were really interested in the Rav 4, so we decided to endure the salesperson's patronizing sales games. A good example of one "game": When I asked about prices and financing, the person refused to answer, instead asking me how much I wanted to spend, what vehicles from other manufacturers we were looking at and how much they were selling for. When I insisted on getting a price, we were taken to the person's desk. Instead of talking price and financing, the person pulled out a printout and read comparison features of similar models of competing SUV's. My wife and I politely got up and walked out, as the salesperson was literally not answering any of the questions we asked. We were still interested in an SUV and liked the Rav 4, so instead of going for a test drive, we rented one. That's right: We'd rather waste the money on renting a Rav 4, than deal with that salesperson for a free test drive. After driving the rental (brand new 2013 Rav 4) for a few days, I realized it gets 19 miles per gallon. NINETEEN, all on the highway...almost 30% worse than Toyota claims (thats not Toyota of Stamfords fault, but its worth noting). We ended up deciding to just keep our current car.Then, in early October 2013, we decided we needed to replace our other car (we wanted a used sedan this time) and went back to the same dealerships we visited when we were looking for SUV's. As before, some of the dealerships were great, others were terrible. When we walked into Toyota of Stamford, we purposely avoided the person we dealt with last time and were approached by someone we'll call "salesperson #1" (remember, I don't want to use anyone's real name). Shortly after our conversation started, salesperson #2 kept coming over and interrupting. They were both polite, but I still don't understand why salesperson #2 kept interrupting? Was #1 in training and needed help? Was it some cheesy sales tactic? Anyway...We tried to find a car that was cheap with a warranty. Salesperson #2 said they found a car that fit our needs and quoted a price in the high twelve thousands. It was more expensive than similar cars from the other dealerships, but we wanted to keep an open mind, so we decided to take it for a test drive. Salesperson #1 took us around in it and the car turned out to be a happy medium: I liked the Mazda best, my wife liked the Ford best and neither of us minded the Toyota, so we decided to take it.The next time the price was mentioned, we were filling out paperwork for the loan and my wife and I noticed the price was listed as around $13,900. We were both surprised, since we thought Salesperson #2 had previously quoted us a cheaper price, so we questioned it. I want to be clear: We didn't yell, we didn't cop an attitude, we just both said we thought the other salesperson quoted a lower number. Salesperson #1 immediately snapped at us and launched into a mini rant: "No way!! I can sell that car all day for thirteen-nine, there's no way it would be less!!..."Salesperson #1 continued on the short rant and we sat there and listened, perplexed as to why we were getting snapped at (we weren't getting yelled at, but we definitely werent being spoken to the way we should have). Someone who overheard salesperson #1 went and got salesperson #2, who (politely) confirmed that the higher number was the actual price. I'll be completely honest: It's totally possible that both my wife and I heard salesperson #2 wrong...and it's equally as possible that salesperson #2 accidentally said the price wrong when it was first mentioned. We're all allowed to make mistakes, but if we knew the price was higher (MUCH more expensive than the Mazda I liked), we wouldn't have even bothered with it. To be honest, I would normally just walk out of a dealership in a situation like that and the fact that I stayed means that everything past this point is my fault. In fact, I've walked out of this dealership before (as mentioned earlier) and I've done it plenty of other times when dealing with other dealerships in the past that treated me badly (which, sadly, is quite common around here). There's never an excuse for being snapped at...especially when I'm the customer. Also, my wife and I were both being polite...it's not like we started yelling about the price, we just asked. I'm not sure if this was all a misunderstanding, or if the price swap was intentional. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me: Ive bought many cars over the years and have worked with some really great dealerships before. Toyota of Stamford was not one of those. I should have just left and never looked back, but I was really tired of the whole car buying process and just wanted it over with. I realize that since I didn't walk out, I shouldn't be complaining, but I'm posting this review to warn others, not to complain.We continued to move forward with the paperwork for the loan and we were shown an extended warranty plan. Normally, I laugh at these, since they're usually overpriced and are only valid in specific scenarios (doesnt cover a lot of items, for it to be valid, you have to have your car serviced at the dealer, etc), but the finance person made a claim that seemed too good to be true: If we bought the extended warranty and didn't use it, we'd get all of the money back after the warranty period was up. I made sure to ask many times and the finance person insisted it was true, so we bought it. I figured Id only use it if something really expensive broke and if not, wed just get our money back after the warranty period was up.Next, we waited a LONG time for the loan approval to be finalized. It wasn't until a few days later that we realized the dealership ran a credit check on each of us twice. Anyone that keeps track of their credit will know that every "hard inquiry" will lower your credit score and they never told us they were doing that. Also, I'm sure that added to the long wait we were subjected to. I understand that wasn't 100% the fault of the Toyota of Stamford employees, as they were simply waiting for the loan results after they submitted them. Still, my wife and I waited for over an hour, when at other dealerships, we were approved in literally minutes.After a total of about two hours, the final paperwork still wasn't back from the loan center, but we were approved, so they allowed us to take the car with dealer plates on it and come back the next business day for the real plates and registration. I admit, that was a very nice gesture.A few days later, I went over all the paperwork and found nothing that backed up their money back guarantee on the warranty. I called Toyota's main customer service (very friendly, very polite), who said that guarantee doesn't exist. I asked if they could cancel the extended warranty and refund my money. They said they could, however the money would be taken from the last few payments of the loan; They couldnt write me a check for the amount and they couldnt re-do the loan (minus the money from the warranty) and lower our payments. Thats not at all what we wanted, so I said Id like to see if we had other options. I asked to file a complaint and they assured me someone would call to follow up. The next day a manager from Toyota Of Stamford called and claimed that the money back guarantee was from the local dealer itself, not Toyota corporate. I had all of the paperwork in front of me and told them I couldn't find anything in writing describing that. The manager said I must have not received the correct paper and it would be mailed to me. The manager didn't mention any of my other complaints, just that "there was a meeting with everyone involved". I imagine the "meeting" was a bunch of people high-five-ing that they got to rip off another customer, but I digress...The "paperwork" arrived two days later. It was simply an invoice that had the words "MONEY BACK EXP 08-07-2019" highlighted. That isn't even remotely adequate as proof of a warranty, or explanation of how the guarantee works. I'm still questioning if it's actually real and don't really know what to do. Sadly, I think my only course of action is going to my lawyer, which will (of course) cost more money. After just over a month of owning the car, I decided to rent a minivan from Toyota of Stamford's car rental service. See, when we bought the car, they gave us a little "coupon book", with things like a free oil change and a free car rental. They even bragged about how since we bought a small car, if we ever needed a bigger car to move something or carry a lot of people, we could use the free rental ticket. Well, that's exactly what happened, I needed to move something large and figured I'd use my free rental...but when I got to the Toyota rental area, they said the coupon was only valid if your car was in for service, you couldn't just use it as a free rental coupon. I explained what the salespeople told me, but they said there was nothing they could do. I didnt argue with them, as the people at the Toyota rental center are always really nice, but it really bothered me: Once again, I've fallen victim to the salespeople's lies.Also, at this point, I've driven about 2000 miles since purchasing. 99% of the travel is highway mileage and I get about 29mpg. Toyota claims that car is supposed to get 37mpg on the highway (once again, not the dealerships fault, but still annoying). At the end of the year, that adds up to a lot of money.So, that's pretty much it. Not only will I feel the sting of this experience every single month for five years when I write the check for the car loan, but I'm still forced to deal with these people on a regular basis: They won't honor the warranties, unless the car is serviced at a Toyota dealer (for the record, this isn't just a Toyota issue, 99% of car companies require this...they just never usually tell you).To reiterate: This was all my fault and I only blame myself. I should have left the dealership after the price discussion and never gone back. I was just sick of car shopping, sick of dealing with bad dealerships and wanted it all to be over. I hope if anyone was planning on buying a car from Toyota of Stamford, theyll read about my experience and know what to expect. Other than the gas mileage, the car is fine, so if you feel the need to shop there, just remember to be explicit about how youd like your credit run and get everything they promise you in writing from the time you walk in until the time you sign the final paperwork (or just go to a different Toyota dealer).

I've worked with Chris and the body shop at Toyota of Stamford twice over the past year, most recently after an accident caused extensive damage to my car. Chris did the seemingly impossible and made my car look like new again! But beyond the quality of work, what impressed me the most was his level of service. He was accommodating and responsive to all of my questions throughout the process. And most importantly, he made me feel at ease at a time when I was considerably unnerved after my accident.In my experience, Chris and the team at Toyota of Stamford are completely reliable and trustworthy. I came in when the engine warning light came on. Brian came out to my car, and checked the gas cap--which apparently was not completely tightened (by me). He tightened it and told me that it was most likely a sensor that had caused the check engine light to appear. He then advised me to drive my Corolla 100-200 miles and let the sensor reset. He was right on the money! At 205 miles my check engine light went off, and I have had no other problems. Thank you Brian!

I bought a brand new car, and I was told by the dealer at the time Joe Carbonell that brush guards came with the new car. I waited two to three months for the brush guards just to find out that Mr. Carbonell made a mistake in telling me that brush guards came with the brand new car. After complaining and even making a complaint to Toyota Complaints, the management of Toyota Stamford decided that as a courtesy for Mr. Carbonell mistake, they would install a non-toyota starter. With all the money Toyota of Stamford makes, I was really disappointed in this move by them. As a matter of fact the finance guy Anthony Capolupo was charging me a $100.00 dollars for the difference in the alarm starter. later on he told me that no money would be charge. They make the mistake and yet they do not honor their verbal agreement with me. Also, I called in numerous ocasion and spoke to two sales manager who both told me that they would call me back on this issue and they never got back to me. Although I was never charged with the Brush guards, their promises to customers have a lot to be desired and a grave concern.

I came back to this dealership to purchase my 2013 Camry because of Andrew Pawlowski. He sold me my 2004 Camry and I was so pleased with his great personality and knowledge of the vehicle that I would not think of going to another dealership or to another salesman. Everyone I dealt with from the time I walked into the dealership till the time I drove off with my new car was very friendly and more than happy to answer any of my questions. My wife and I were looking for a mid to full size SUV to accommodate our twins that are on the way. We test drove another 7 passenger SUV at a local competing dealership, but one test drive with Aaron Zislis and we were sold. It only took us 45 minutes to make the decision to buy our awesome new 2013 Highlander from Toyota of Stamford. Aaron was so accommodating and stayed a little late for us on a Friday! There was zero pressure and no "pushy car salesman attitude". Anthony in the finance department was great and didn't try to push any unnecessary items on us that wouldn't benefit us. The negotiation process was smooth as silk and the trade in value for my car was extremely fair. My previous car had been crushed by a neighbor's falling tree during Hurricane Sandy. I have been searching for a reasonably priced, low mileage car. I'm not sure why I didn't check with Toyota of Stamford first before plundering through other dealerships who had been offering me deals I would never consider. I saw a 2010 Toyota Corolla online with low mileage from Toyota of Stamford. Within 15 minutes, Joe Henesy called me and gave me a great price quote within my budget. The very next day I met Joe Carbonell who showed me the car. Even though the car was previously owned, it was immaculate. I felt like I was sitting in and testing a new car. The next day Eliana Castano processed my paperwork. With Anthony Capolupo's assistance, I got a great deal on a great car. I am a single parent and in desperate need of a great deal and a great car. My experience with Toyota of Stamford spans 20 years of new cars and getting them serviced. This most recent encounter occurred with an emergency replacement of my old Solara. Brian Patounas, in the service department, was most kind and helpful in a very stressful situation and set me up for a rental until I could make a decision on repair or replacement. When the decision to replace became apparent, John Henesy was able to get me into a new 2013 Camry with the exact options requested. Not only was this done in record time but with such helpfulness that I was comfortable with returning a rental, selling my old car to the dealer, having John Linn handling the service department for me, and then the best part of having my new car reviewed with me by Andrew Pawlowski in detail so that I understood all the options. I almost left out Anthony Capulupo and his gracious assistance in the finance end of the transaction. I arrived at the dealership on Saturday morning at 10AM and was on the road by 1PM driving a new car that was both registered and insured. This dealership has a truly remarkable team of employees who made this a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Aaron gave us a lot of options to consider including paperwork on all numbers he quoted, which I thought was great. Scores would have been higher but they missed some damage on the car as delivered. Also it is missing an antenna. No hesitation on their willingness to get the damages fixed immediately. Aaron explained the operation of the car features very well and the car seems awesome.As a follow-up I returned the car to show the damages to the salesman two days after delivery as he was off work the day after. The general manager got involved at the request of the salesman and the next thing all damages were repaired. It was very impressive.

FROM THE TIME MY CAR WAS TOWED IN...Cory gave me good follow up advice on my engine....like it's not worth fixing with 184,000 miles on it. Then I went to sales and ran into a crazy Russian named Arcady (Aaron) Zislis! Aaron was extremely helpful showing me an assortment of used cars until I settled on the Corolla with 11,000 miles. I entered the showroom on a relative whim, last Saturday afternoon. I had zero intention of making a purchase that day, and simply wanted to get a feel for what was on the lot. My wife and I were looking for a CRV or RAV4 for our daughter. While we were walking around in the outside lot looking at a new RAV4, Albert Gonzalez casually walked over and offered some assistance. His help was advisory, not a sales push, something I particularly appreciated. Moreover, when it became apparent that it would be a purchase for our daughter who will be graduating college this May, Albert researched and confirmed that Toyota offered a $1,000 discount to college graduates. That pretty much sealed the deal for us.At closing Anthony Capolupo was personable and very helpful with the financing and the additional warranty protection that we purchased.All in all, an excellent buying experience. Let's hope the service department can match the sales experience.

Great experience, great service, would buy from in the future. My brother purchased a Tundra from Andrew and I already knew I would be getting great service by going into this dealership. Andrew's knowledge of the vehicles was great and his no-push sales technique made me feel really comfortable. I actually came in to get some information as I was shopping around. After asking me a few questions he showed me a Camry SE model which looked great and had all the features I was looking for. Hi Tony:I'd like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the excellent service with your entire service team.I went in for a regular oil change and came to find out that my RAV4 was leaking large amounts of oil, too much for the engine's good. The conclusion: fix the leak for $1200!It was suggested to ask Toyota corporate for help before addressing the needed repair. Toyota corporate agreed through an act of goodwill to cover the cost of the parts, as this has been an issue with other RAV4's in the past and your service shop, Toyota of Stamford, agreed to cover the service of installing the new parts. The sum total of my responsibility was $0!What impressed me was the clear communication of all team members. John Linn, general manager sales, made sure that I had access to I did not have a car for several days; Toyota rental covered the cost of the rental, while I was responsible for paying gas. Whenever I initially expressed my need for a rental, it was addressed and when I asked the status of the car, Toyota was quick to respond or clear to explain any delay. I appreciated the forthrightness and timeliness of responses; it allowed me to plan my work around the care of my car.Rich Breska, my service contact, was clear and attentive. He explained everything clearly and told me what to expect. I appreciated his prompt replies.Your customer service has greatly improved; what struck me was it seems this attitude has permeated throughout your team. Each member acted as a team player and wanted me to get my car fixed properly and returned as soon as possible.Good leadership Tony! Thank you. I was extraordinarily pleased with the first car I bought. They worked with me on the price, showed me how everything worked, set my Bluetooth , radio, navigation system etc. I had a bad accident and totaled my car. I went back and Joe was still friendly, but forgot to put on my front license plate, which was then lost and they assured me i had never given it to them (which is impossible because you need two to register a car) He would not work with me on the price. I later discovered a lot of nicks that had been covered up by touch up paint and a couple of other problems. I was not impressed by the service department which managed to mix up my first and second cars regarding service and repair, and had a really strange registration system for repairs and service. Joe is so friendly that he knows half the world and spends much of his time with other people while selling you a car. I am not buying another car there.

Before going to Stamford Toyota I visited other showrooms and car dealerships, and I found Albert at Toyota the sales person who actually took the time to answer all my questions, explain the different models and option, and break down the pricing. He was not pushy or pressuring, but very informative. I was back and forth several times over several days and I brought my daughter in one day to take a look with me and Albert spoke to both of us for a while and took his time explaining about the cars and the buying/leasing options. Pathetic. Toyota of Stamford has a convenient (but worthless) parts request form on their website which is headed with the words, "How can we help you?" I completed it with the part number I was seeking, my contact information, and a request that I be able to pick up the part the following morning. I clicked send. I immediately received a response advising my information had been successfully submitted. At 5:14pm the same day I received an automated response in the form of email from Duncan McKale, the Vice President of Toyota of Stamford. The email offered a sincere thanks for giving Toyota of Stamford the opportunity to earn my business along with the words, "I have good news for you!!! We have received your Internet request. One of our team members will be getting back with you shortly via e-mail and phone. They will take great care of all your needs."By 10:40am the next morning, as no one had phoned, I took the liberty of phoning the parts department at Toyota of Stamford. The gentleman who answered the phone had no knowledge of any such part request. I ordered the part (PN 90910-12199) which has an MSRP of $54.96, (per Toyota). Toyota of Stamford's price was 21% higher than Toyota's MSRP at $66.54. I paid for and picked up the part. The FOLLOWING day at 11:30am I received an email from the service manager stating he'd received my "internet service request," and that someone from their department would be getting back to me soon. Right. No one called.I went back to VP Duncan McKale's email, who'd listed two phone numbers at the bottom of said email preceded by the words, "Please let me know if I may assist you in any way." The first phone number was out of order. The second was a cell phone number not associated with Toyota of Stamford. I called Toyota of Stamford's main number and was transferred to Duncan McKale's voice mail. I listened to his voice message (where he stated his name) and left a message requesting that he phone me back. Duncan McKale never bothered to call. If you like inflated prices and poor customer service, this might be your dealership.UPDATE: The above review stands. While I finally did get a call from Duncan McKale, it was after the fact. When he first phoned, he behaved as if he was simply returning my phone call from days before. He asked how he could help me. I told him I was all set. He persisted and was most kind. It then became apparent he was conscious of my review on this site and ultimately explained that such reviews help the dealership in that they learn what they'd otherwise not have re. service. Great. He asked how he could help and committed to looking into the over-pricing. He committed to getting back to me re. same. He never called back. Touche.

at october 22,2012,brought my car to toyota of stamford service deparment,they did a regular service on my LEXUS RX 330,i also told them to perform a computer diagnostic ,because the engine light went on and off regulary,two hours later he call me ,telling me the both catalysts needs to be replace, the price was $ 1500,i told him not to do it ,cause i didn't have the money, later he mention that they can lower to $ 1350,but still can't afford it, everything ok till there,went to pick up my car at 4:30 pm,they charge $ 110 for the diagnostic, and $98.15 for the oil change ,plus taxes and "others"ended up paying $226.69,guido was on the phone when i arrive,and with signs told me that my car was outside,when i get in to the car i couldn't get it starterd,a mechanic approach and told me ,that it sounds like it was the battery,after he ask me for the invoice,and told me that they recommend a battery replacement, and that was written on the paper,but i was never aware by guido then we went inside and i told guido that i couldn't get my car started,and the guy who works there ,told him that he recommend a battery replacement,well, guido's answer was really estupid and offensive,he said :" i didn't tell you about the battery because you said you have no money to expend ",but in a offensive way,he never apologize nor did something to resolve the situation,trying to make me feel guilty for the situation .and then he went back to his phone ,(he was on the phone this whole time) ignoring me and the other guy,i try to talk him back,but a valet parking worker came with the jumper,(he was very respectful and worry ), and together we make it workim very dissappointed and will never come back to this place,i don't care if i have to go to milford for the next servicethey just lost another customer

I have to be honest with you, I wasn't very happy about my visit at all.I was happy, though, that the person examining my car noticed that I was missing a hubcap.Here are the negatives of my visit:I was asked many times in a negative, condescending way, why I did not buy my Prius from the Stamford location. Once is enough, though it really wasn't any business of Guido at all, nor was it professional of him to try to make me feel guilty or bad for that, time after time.I waited 2 hours for an oil change, the most I've ever waited in my life.When I talked to Guido before I went into the waiting room, I said how I wanted a new hubcap, whatever the price was. When I was done and was given the paperwork I saw that nothing was done regarding my wheel. He seemed surprised and asked if I wanted to have the hubcap replaced. Obviously, he wasn't listening to me. He told me to go over to parts and get one. Honestly, I thought that the 2 hours I waited was because they were taking care of that.So, I went over to parts and, I have to say, I was surprised at how apathetic and lazy the guy behind the counter was. He didn't look up at me or acknowledge me. When I asked him about the hubcap it seemed that I was wasting his time and his energy. He huffed and puffed. Not very welcoming at all. After pushing him, he found out that it would cost 95 with tax for the hubcap that would have to be sent into the store because you were out. I told him to hold on for a second and I checked on the internet. I found an OEM hubcap for 27...37 with shipping. He seemed annoyed and was asking what I was doing. He went back to his business and stopped talking with me or helping me out so I just left.To be honest, I've never experienced such bad service. I'd rather pay money at a shop for an oil change than be treated this way. I don't plan on coming back because I don't want a repeat of this. I think I'll try my luck at Toyota of Greenwich even though it's 10 more minutes away.

First, Id like to express my gratitude to Albert Gonzalez at Toyota of Stamford, for going above and beyond, and walking me through all my options. It started off by test driving a few different vehicles, until I made my selection of a Rav4. And.(Im pretty complicated). He was always very professional and personable with me. Albert was referred to me by a close friend whose family has been buying from him for years! I can see why hes gotten such high praise! I knew after 20 minutes of talking to him, that a sale would be happening with no issues. The warm atmosphere, personable, and thorough approach took away my anxiety and stress of buying a car. Albert was recommended to me by my sister in law who has gotten many of her cars from him. Prior to even stepping foot in the dealership, Albert was constantly communicating with us over the phone and letting us know the best deals on the car we wanted. When I finally went in today, he was extraordinarily helpful and described the car very thoroughly. He also took me on a test drive and continued to tell us more about the car throughout the ride. Once the sale was complete, Albert took the time after the dealership was about to close, to show me how to work all of the gadgets in the car. Mr. Gonzalez was pleasant, helpful, patient and a delight to work with as I worked through which car I wanted and all the options I wanted. He was informative and not pushy at the same time. When he called that my car had arrived, he helped me do anythign I had to do before I returned to sign documents and pick up the car. He greated em when I arrived, and explained the car features and even helped set up the bluetooth for me. He also made it pleasant by his upbeat attidtude and his offer to call him to set up appointments for service and call if I had any problems or questions concerning my new car. I have bought or leased many cars and this was one of the best experiences I have had and would recommend him t others looking at a Toyota.

He was very pleasant and highly informative.He gave me a clear picture about what to expect and explained the difference between financing and leasing for me as an international student. This was an EXCELLENT car leasing experience in every respect. This is the second Toyota RAV 4 we have leased from Toyota of Stamford and the first time we've worked with Albert Gonzalez, who made the entire process effortless and great for us. Mr. Gonzalez called us as our current lease was ending, introduced himself and described the different options available to us. He emailed me the specials and promotions Toyota was offering at this time in advance of our appointment and he answered all our phone questions. We made an appointment with him and we were promptly met and warmly welcomed when we arrived. Albert was professional, knowledgeable and courteous throughout the week-long decision making process of our choosing a car to replace our RAV 4: whether to buy or lease, which car, which model, basic or Premium, 4 or 6 cylinders. In the past we have had several Toyota Camry wagons & a Camry Hybrid from other dealers and most recently a RAV 4 from this dealership. Albert made suggestions and listened to our requirements. He didn't try to "sell" us any upgrades and when we were indecisive about which model to buy he suggested we make our decision at another time. Overall, I found Toyota of Stamford unprepared, aggressive, misleading, uncompetitive on pricing, and unknowlegeable. Resolution: purchased vehicle from competing Fairfield County dealer.I arrived for a scheduled appointment with Christian Nyquist and the Prius sales specialist (his name escapes me) as I was interested in a 2012 Prius and trading in my current vehicle. They gave me a real low-ball offer on my trade that was thousands of dollars below auction value, Edmunds trade-in and Kelly Blue Book. They came in at $8,500 and after unpleasant arguing came up to about $9200. I ended up getting nearly $12,000 for my trade from a competitor.I found the experience to be combative and Nyquist to be misleading. After giving me the low ball offer, I found out he was not giving me credit for my sun roof, alloy wheels, or leather. He even asserted that my car had high mileage for its year ($49,500 miles on a 2007 Camry--really?) and that after-market leather adds no value to the trade. If a customer will pay more for a feature, that should add something to the value. Also, giving the customer a physical tour of every defect and scratch on his car is not very pleasant. The salesman I spoke with also was unprepared and had to search around for a while to find a vehicle for me to look at despite an email prior to my appointment promising me that they'd have a couple cars for me to look at the met my criteria. Prius specialist argued with me about features, and was incorrect. Demonstrated ignorance regarding the model. Asserted, for example that there were no technological upgrades between Prius 2011 and 2012. Also didn't know what the touch tracer display was. As a final demonstration of their lack of care, when I sent an email to to the sales manager, Brandon Campell, that I delt with to provide feedback, he declined to respond.

John, Brandon, Elaina were friendly, courteous, HONEST, professional and amazing.Our used car purchase was the best experience we have EVER had at a car dealership. John Henesy literally jumped through hoops to accomodate my daughter and myself. Because of my own errors (forgetting items etc.) we thought the pickup date of the "new" car would be postponed. Brandon and Elaina jumped in and made magic happen. We wer able to take the car home as expected. I honesly have to say that I had some reservations about the "car salesman" stereotype and went to this dealership with my guard up. The people we dealt with totally debunked this stereotype. We felt comfortable, at ease and trusting. I HIGHLY recommend this establishment. You will not regret your decision!!!

Sales experience was very smooth. Derek worked with me to descrbe the various options available as well as the cost MRSP and Invoice. He worked through the details and was able to locate the color and the options I wanted. I purchased the 2011 Toyota Corolla from Derek after leasing a 2011 Toyota Venza back in May 2011. The lease on my 2008 Prius was scheduled to expire on May 1st, so when Toyota offered sales promotions on many of its vehicles I returned to Toyota of Stamford, where I leased my Prius, to see what kind of deal they could make. I scheduled a meeting with Derek Kotarowski, the sales rep I worked with four years ago. Just the fact the same salesperson was there four years later is a good sign -- too often car salespersons move around like nomads. Derek, a Prius fanatic, asked me what features I wanted on my new car (I was already decided on another Prius), found me the only one on the lot that had them all. (OK, it also has a costly sunroof, which I didn't need, and which made it more expensive than I'd planned -- but my wife reminded me that I'd been complaining for four years that the 2008 Prius did not have a sunroof, so it worked out in the end.)However, by taking my older car in trade (it was worth more than the payoff) rather than letting me simply return it, adding in the sales incentives and massaging the numbers the way car salespeople do, Derek set up a deal for a three-year lease with minimum money down, mostly to cover registration, the first month's lease payment and the never-quite-explained "origination fee," at only 6 bucks a month more than I was paying for my first Prius. The remaining two payments on my older car went away, I drove the new (actually a 2011) Prius home a couple hours later, and I am a happy customer of Toyota of Stamford once again.Where is Toyota of Stamford lacking? The service department is a bit tired and not as sparkling as I'd like, although the service reps are friendly and helpful. The waiting area is small and the coffee isn't as good as I'd like. And they don't wash your car when they finish the service. However, in my experience the service has always been performed promptly, important if you're waiting for your car, and I've never had to return the car to have something taken care of that should have been done at the service. The Prius needs service only every 5,000 miles/6 months, so I can deal with this. (It's a lot better than the service experience I had with my former car, the one I sold to buy my original Prius, and it was a Mercedes.)So, in short, I recommend Toyota of Stamford, at least based on my experience. But one warning: Don't go there and talk to Derek unless you're ready to buy a car. He is an excellent, and persuasive, salesman, and you'll drive out in a new car.

My girlfriend was looking to buy a used car and we searched and searched and even went as far as hillside nj toyota dealership because of the cars and suv's they were advertising, WOW great looking cars on internet and awesome prices, can't find them when you get there, pushy-pushy-pushy salesman we had. So after such a negative experience, i decided to come here. i had purchased a SUV 8 months ago from here and had a great experience. I was skeptical cause Joe and Steve were gone, but once i sat down with Derek and told him what i wanted, told him i wanted the car for the day and surprise my girlfriend with the car without all the pressure cause of what she felt at the other dealership, HE MADE IT HAPPEN. i had the car within 20 minutes of being there and letting her drive the car. She loved it and we leased one. had a bad experience at putting on a key starter (3 days) but after going back to Derek and with the GM's approval they made a negative into a possitive which makes me feel like they genually care about you. Also the service department did bail me out, Giada(i think) and another gentleman due to equiptment error and plain old operator error, leaving thier job and finding us at a gas station, and getting us back on the road again. Great experience leasing the car with Derek and Derek for making things right. I will always return to here

Best price in the Mid-Atlantic!I searched for a pre-owned Highlander Hybrid for about 3 months before finding the vehicle I was looking for at Toyota of Stamford. After negotiating the price for my Camry Hybrid and settling on a price over the phone for the pre-owned vehicle, I was on my way from Southern New Jersey to Stamford, CT (a 3.5 hours drive) to check out the vehicle. I was a little skeptical, because the pricing was too good to be true. However, the vehicle was exactly as advertised! It was ready to go when I arrived with new tires, new brakes, and clean appearance. No surprises, and I was in out of the dealership in about 2 hours.What first may appear as a negative, is actually a testament to the service provided at Stamford Toyota. Upon returning to New Jersey I had a small problem with the power window in my "new" pre-owned vehicle. However, a visit to my local Toyota dealership and a call to John Lynn and Brian Campbell in Stamford and the vehicle was repaired without any problems and paid for by Stamford Toyota. It's nice to know that even when you're 200 miles away, a dealership is willing to back their product and their reputation.I hope to have this vehicle for several years, but when it is time to part ways with it I'll be sure to call John, Brandon, and Steve again.Thanks gentlemen, I couldn't be happier with the experience I had before, during, and after the sale!

We used to go to the dealer in Greenwich, never again now that we have had the sense to come here. Their site is great as well. Very easy to book my appointment, and when I had to call they were extremely friendly. I also asked for an estimate for some damage to our car and they had it to me very quickly with no pressure to schedule the appointment right then and there. I am very glad to have found this place!

We visited several Toyota Dealerships in the area with an interest in a Rav 4. We also own a Highlander which we are keeping. We have only dealt with the Westport Ct. dealership in the past and had become dissatisfied with both their service and knowledge of new product, especially since that dealer was taken over by New Country. The fact that Stamford is family owned and the customer has ready access to the top became important in light of the Westport experience. Once inside the door Joe Carbonell went to bat finding us a Rav 4 to our specifications and was patient and informed in his hands on with our new purchase. His performance was certainly excellent, such that we will recommend him to others. We should also note that several friends had made the same switch in dealerships and had given high marks on both sales and service in Stamford.

I am a Fleet Coordinator with a local company and have utilized all Toyota dealers within Fairfield County for sales as well as service, Toyota of Stamford is the best by far. The service manager Tony is wonderful as is his staff, most notably Chris , Brian and Corey.It is nice to walk into a dealership and after dealing with the porter who accepts the vehicle to the service writer who checks you in all the way up to the service manager, they all remember your name and welcome you with a smile. Also, let me not forget the friendly shuttle drivers who always have a great attitude who drive you to work and pick you back up at the end of the day. I have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience with Toyota of Stamford and I have been dealing with them for well over 3 years now. Whether for an oil change, when I waited for my car, or my recent 60.000 miles service, they have always had my car ready on time and many a time my bill was less than what they first quoted me. If everyone in business was this effective life would be beautiful. My wife has owned several toyota's all bought at Toyota of Stamford and would never consider going anywhere else. If you want a toyota, Toyota of Stamford will give you that feeling of satisfaction and dependability. Oh what a feeling! I'll never go anywhere else!!

This is my second purchase from this dealer. My first purchase was used the second was new and what I liked was the comfortable family oriented feeling. I never felt pressured and the saleman was very patient and helpful. Service has always been completed in very well and in a timely matter. I will purchase here again.

I recently purchased a 2010 Toyota Prius from Toyota of Stamford. I was impressed by the great service and professionalism of the sales team. Our salesman, Benji, was knowledgeable and courteous. The General Manager and the Financial Director were also very accomodating and walked us through the process of completing our financing at a great rate. I have purchased cars at other dealerships before and found this dealer to go above and beyond to ensure our happiness. I would definitely recommend this dealer to family and friends.

I had a terrible experience with the service department at Toyota of Stamford a couple months ago and decided to let it slide. BIG MISTAKE! Now it's happened again. At this time, I am advising all my friends to stay away from the service department at Toyota of Stamford. Their sales people are decent but there seems to be huge miscommunication between the two departments. Read on...1. Late last year, 2009 Prius:So, I bought a 2009 Prius from an out of state dealer. The car was in mint condition, except the steering wheel was slightly off center. The car was driving perfectly straight.I took it to Toyota of Stamford for an oil change and an alignment to correct the steering wheel issue (did some research in advance, looked like an alignment was all that's needed).The service people at Toyota of Stamford said that the car was severely hit in the *REAR* and that's why the steering wheel was off center. I told them the car has already been inspected before and has absolutely no damage. Plus, how would a hit in the rear affect the steering wheel?They insisted that there was damage and said they could fix it for me by replacing the rear end to the tune of several thousand dollars. The conversation went something like this:They: car has damage, we need to replace the rear end.Me: Are you sure? The car has already been checked for damage before I bought it.They: Absolutely, the rear end is bent.Me: How do you know? Did you see the damage?They: No, but the alignment is off, so there must be damage.Me: Ok, say there was damage in the rear. How would this affect the steering wheel?They: The place that fixed it must have messed up the front alignment on purpose to compensate for the damage in the rear.At that point, I told them to give me back my car. Since they couldn't charge me for alignment (they didn't perform one), they charged me a "diagnostic fee", basically 50% of the alignment cost.I took the car to Toyota of Greenwich the next day. The service people there performed an alignment and resolved the steering wheel issue. Simple as that. They also checked the car thoroughly and said there is absolutely no damage. Their customer service was great too.Apparently, the alignment machine at Toyota of Stamford was not calibrated properly and they were making up stories to compensate for it and get extra cash from the customer.2. Today, 2008 Prius.This is my wife's car which I purchased as a certified vehicle from Toyota of Stamford last Fall. As part of the purchase, I was given a certificate for 1 year of prepaid maintenance and was promised a loaner for each service.Fast forward a few months. I called Toyota of Stamford today to schedule the 30k service. The person on the other end of the line agreed that it's time for a 30k service (the car has 30,500 miles) and started scheduling it for next week.Then I mentioned that I have a prepaid maintenance plan. His story instantly changed: "Well, that only covers an oil change. If you want synthetic, it's extra. If you want other services, like the 30k service, you have to pay for it. You don't really need that, it's not like your car is going to explode". He also said there is no record anywhere of being eligible for free loaners.Needless to say, I'll be taking my wife's Prius to Toyota of Greenwich and will avoid Toyota of Stamford like the plague.Thanks for reading.

This is the worst dealership possible with awful service. The quality of work is very poor. I have used the service of this dealership since its close to the place I stay. I had a body work done at a higher price which needs to be redone now after a couple of months. They recommend lot of replacement even if you car is good and just few years old. Better avoid this dealership.

I recently moved to Stamford and was looking for the closest Toyota dealer. After one visit, I will NOT go back to this place. I went in for an oil change at 7:30 am on a weekday, needing to be at work for 8:30, and thinking an hour would be more than enough time. They estimated it would take 1 hr 15 mins- a little longer than expected, but fair enough, I said I'd wait. At 8:30 I was told that the serpentine belt needed replacement. My answer was "OK, but I need to get to work" and pointed at my watch. Guido told me not to worry, the replacement would be done in the same amount of time as originally promised. Long story short, I did not leave the dealership until almost 10:15! There was delay after delay, which is bad enough, but what made it worse was that Guido lied/and or gave inaccurate time estimates of when the car would be done. Finally I paid and Guido said to wait outside for the car. After 10-15 MORE minutes of waiting, another guy tells me that I was given the paperwork prematurely, as the car STILL wasn't finished by 10:00, even though Guido told me "15 more minutes" at 9:30!Bottom line- I arrived at work 2 hours late and actually lost money because I am an hourly employee. After what happened, I can't even be sure the belt needed replacement, because I don't trust anything they say anymore. For your own good, please heed my advice and do not patronize this dealership. I was fed lie after lie, and feel like an idiot now for believing them! Oh, and the magazines in the waiting room were woefully outdated...
