I was surprised with the kindness that I received as compared to other dealerships. This experience was different than the past 2 (or more) times I've had to purchase a car at other dealerships. Kevin broke everything down for me and made sure I was aware of all the agreements I was signing. Not only was he (and the rest of the team) helpful with the paperwork, but what shocked me was when Kevin showed me how to operate the cars interior system. In the past, I was given the car with no instructions on anything. So thank you all!

You want to know what I liked about my experience? Im sure youre either eye-glazing over the same cliche words or skimming over those who put nothing into it. Hold onto your pants for my Toyota story.. My First Time Buying a New Car at Toyota Marin (from a car enthusiast..no worries its all good)Im a classic car person from 16 years old until now from a subculture car mindset all about Save money with a reliable used car or Stay under the radar of corporate dealers .. 'Dream of a suped up 69 Camaro'..Thats me to my bones. Still stuck in that mindset years later, I planned on fully restoring my 1995 Toyota Celica GT convertible with almost 200k miles on it, knowing it has at least another 100k miles of life in that ridiculously reliable Toyota engine. But after putting $1800 in a new top along with other expenses, I gave up on the piece-by-piece cost vs. the milage. I suppose Im not a car person after all if I give up on restoration. In a way I feel I failed. Yet, my family and friends who simply dont get it applauded me giving it up for a new car.OK..Fine (..) ..moving forward with my tail between my legs.. I woke up yesterday, all grown up and decided, OK, it is time. I want a new Toyota.. with hopefully the same unrelenting, ridiculously reliable engine the 95 proved for decades. With cement feet, I walked away from my drop-top memories she gave me to beach and wine country on to the cold pavement of the dealership of lost souls (that's how I felt), growing pains in every heavy step I mean, after two kidney transplants in the past 30 years, and finally hitting a secure career, in a stride, my car almost like a family member in the mix of that? Am I ready for something foreign to me?.. So they tell meI guess I know I deserve itBefore hand, I searched online for Toyota models .. I found a sharp photo and specs of the new 2017 Toyota 86. In that I discovered it replaced the 2016 Scion FR-S. Both hot, sporty cars. My convertible Celica was sporty..I love sporty, no matter the Subaru engine in the SR-S. I dont care at this pointI LIKE it.. Being Oct 2016 is a good time to shop for both..See what comes..With that info in tow, I find myself wandering the vast asphalt of parked Toyotas at the dealership and up walks Tyler Tolor with a friendly vibe and no pressure. Tyler is gregarious, I dont even feel like Im dealing with a salesmen ..Hes very personable and needs a raise from hello. Cmon.. These are the people who make it happengive em some love. Dont be greedy. HAHA. Remember, as a car person, this is my very first new car purchase. I clicked with Tyler, we're both quick witted and laugh easy, he was a tremendous help in walking me through my first new car experience. The no haggle policy is your greatest asset. I was ready to bring it on, but didn't have to. Without the 86 in stock I was still interested in her father, Darth Scion FR-S. Tylor had it in stock, gave me the keys, hopped in the wanna-be back seat. My only concern was the barely a crack of leg-room in the backseat, but 6" + Tyler got in (my guy in the front) and we took to for spins, wheelies, donuts and cliff jumps..hehe. Well, not with the four-banger 200Hp...but it had some pep and Tyler was a lot of fun, informative with the full history of the car. He also said how he worked at Toyota Marin for ten years and loves his job. He can quote me..Haha..So you want to know what I liked about my experience? Tyler Tolor. I never bought a new car, and at 48 years old still harbored an old sigma about car salesmen when I walked on the lot. He changed that. I got the the Scion FR-S..It's not my pipe dream of a supe'd up '69 Camaro, but I'm happy with my experience and honeymoon stage with my new Toyscion...Tyler is a gem. Give him a bonus! Please I beg you! I hope when I trade this Toyscion in 12 years for a Toyota Alloy Air Car A++, Tyler is there to show me how to fly it..

Tyler made the difference. He was NOT high-pressure or condescending (as were several of the other salespeople we heard talking down to customers). He knows his cars, presented us with straight information, and just let us buy the car while answering any questions we had. Before Tyler became available, a young woman (I did not hear her name) was helping us and she was also a keeper. Didn't know as much about the hybrids as Tyler, but her sales style was very good.

I submitted an interest form for a car online, and, because I was impatient, I went in the same day. I was helped by Max S., who, although a bit green, genuinely was a good guy and helped answer any questions I had; when he didn't know, he had the supervisor, Ryan, come and answer questions for me. Because I was an Internet query, however, I was passed along to John H., who was the guy who actually took me on a test drive of the 2004 Prius that I bought. After the test drive, I was feeling really good about the car, but, of course, had to rush off to work. John gave me the skinny on what I would actually be paying with tax, etc, and printed out the carfax report before I left so that I could percolate on them, which I greatly appreciated. I got home and decided that I wanted the car enough that I would go after work, and so when I showed up 20 min before closing, I expected them to try to rush me, but everyone was extremely helpful and gracious- I was informed that they split the commission, so having multiple people help me wouldn't affect them. They were really busy at that time, there must have been 5 people, including myself, all buying cars at a quarter to 9, and so, while I was attended to by multiple people, I was never rushed, never left without someone to answer my questions and genuinely had a GREAT experience there. They gave me a great deal on my trade in, were clear about the price ( it's a no haggling shop, which I didn't know when I went in, but I felt that the price they gave me was fair.) Max and John are the stars of my experience, although, again, everyone I spoke with, from Ryan the manager to Tony the finances guy, was genuine and I never felt unduly pressured-in fact I had laughs with them. Max sent me off for the night and told me to come back so we could get the car detailed, as the detailing department was shut that night, and then John called to check on me a few days later, and when I did have a question, he called me back with GREAT resources to look into. Thanks!

Ever get a car because you like the car, but the dealer experience horrible? That's what happened to me at Toyota of Marin. I had a sales person, (Doreen), who honestly brought nothing to the transaction. She didn't even become the person who delivered my car after I selected it. She and her colleagues didn't prepare the car properly for delivery, such as oil or proper air pressure in tires! But it wasn't only Doreen who gave poor service. The sales manager failed to contact me after I called to speak to her twice (one time she promised to call back and never did), the finance team was to contact me (promised twice) and never did. It was clear they did not appreciate customer service and failed to follow thru on basic communications. Worst car buying experience in over 30 years of buying cars.

Everyone was pleasant. The sales person knew the car and was able to explain the workings clearly. He had a big smile, which he used freely and I never felt rushed. He made it clear that he would be happy to use as much time as needed to make all aspects clear. Questions were answered clearly and completely and, if he wasn't sure of the answer, he went immediately and got the answer. When I left without buying in order to go home and think it over, rather than try last minute pushy sales techniques, he printing out the specs for the vehicle and gave them to me to study.A very agreeable experience.

I am currently a service advisor at a dealership/spent close to two years in sales (floor and internet) prior so I have very high standards when purchasing a vehicle and Christine/Derrell were outstanding. Being in the business I contacted a few people I know and none were able to come close to the price I received from Christine for my 4Runner. A great experience learning about the new 2016 Prius line and Toyota's car lease program. I decided to lease the 2016 Prius v after owning 2 classic Prius cars for the past 11 years. The 2016 Prius v has almost the same mpg as the classic but better all around visibility (the windows are huge!), a bit higher front end clearance, and extra passenger and cargo space. I think it's the best compact hybrid SUV available. New car sales agent Ameen Samour was friendly, helpful, knowledgable, honest and direct, and had a true enthusiasm for Toyota products. Every step of the way Ameen demonstrated he wanted me to leave with the right car and the best car from Toyota. I highly recommend the Marin Toyota dealership and its professional, honest staff. It is easily the best dealership I have encountered.

The gentleman walked me to the building where Russell was. Russell was well prepared for my visit and had the car in front ready for me to see and drive. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I could've gone locally or anywhere else but I wanted to stick with Carey even though it was a long drive from my house. When Carey was not available Mike stepped in and was also great.My next sales person at the new car dealership Tyler also wonderful. Knowledgeable, experienced acted quickly which I ver much appreciated. He did what it took to get me the car I wanted. The sales rep was prepared for us, we took a test drive, back at the dealership it was straight forward in terms of determining the price, financing, etc. Everything went smoothly. The act of buying a car was not as painful as I have experienced in the past, though just as long. Although he was young and new, salesperson (Paul) was excellent. Tyler Toler is the best! I was referred to him through a colleague at my work, who said Tyler would get it done, and he did. He listened to our needs and provided the right solution, in terms of which car was right and what financial solution was right for us, with no sales pressure at all. He said he was there to help and he was. It was the best car-buying experience ever, and I have only ever had VWs before (5 of them). Never again! We first met a Toyota salesperson, by mistake at the used Toyota dealership and yet he was very engaged with us. He took us to the new dealership and we test drove a car and he showed us several other models. I wanted him to get the sale even though he was not available the next day when we decided to buy a Prius and the salesperson who did finally end up selling us the car that day assured us that they would split the commission. The first person had told us "my time is your time and I will be available as long as you have questions about various cars"! The person at the Honda dealership showed us several vehicles, offered no test ride and said that he had to "leave us" to handle a licence plate issue. In essence he was saying that we were not as important and he thought that we were not going to buy. And we had already told him that we had bought 3-4 of our 6-7 Honda Civics at that dealership. So as we were also intrigued with the mid sized Prius we returned to the Toyota dealership and bought one the very next day. I would say to Honda or any salesperson, never pre-judge who will and who will not buy a car as you never can be sure! Also any salesperson who dissed the Prius as "the cheese car" did not start us off on a very congenial relationship. When he emailed me the next day I told him that we had just bought a fully loaded Prius! Welcome to the land of Toyota!!

I was at the dealership to have my 2010 Prius serviced and went into the showroom to look at the 2015 Prius on display. They gave me the best deal they could on the vehicle I wanted but I didn't feel like they were trying to get me out the door as quick as possible. They took the time to answer my questions and gave me space to make the decision I wanted without the pressure of a sales person trying to get me out the door. Even after trading in my old vehicle and purchasing a new one they let me take my old one home for one more night because I had to much stuff in it to transfer between vehicles.

We live in San Francisco and were visiting Marin with my parents from out of town. We saw the dealership and popped in just to "show them" the vehicles we were considering. We met Nicholas and ended up test driving one. We were so impressed with his knowledge and his professionalism that we decided to return a couple weeks later to do the deal with him. We returned without making an appointment (we had been shopping nearby and wanted to see if he was there) and Nicholas was assisting another buyer. We said we could wait and stroll the lot/check out colors. He quickly returned with a colleague to assist us - John. John was friendly, patient, and helpful as well. Lastly, both guys we dealt with in finance were friendly and efficient. We will be returning to get a Highlander in about a year when we are closer to lease expiration on a Mercedes my wife drives. At the end of the day, we did business with your dealership because of Nicholas and his easy-going sales approach. We could have easily gone to SF Toyota -which is only half a mile from our home! Thank you for making it a smooth transaction.

If you want high pressure sales people who talk out both sides of the mouth and low ball you on your trade in, go elsewhere...there are plenty of dealerships with low ratings. I'm unabashedly giving 5-star ratings to Toyota Marin in each category and overall, from the knowledgeable and helpful Brooke Peros (our sales person) to the service department that replaced the battery before we left the lot in the certified used 2012 Venza we purchased. Brooke provided exemplary customer service, not only with the test drive and answering all our questions but went above and beond when she offered to get me ibuprofen and water when she found out I had a headache. I was touched when she kindly offered to take the license plate holder from our trade in vehicle and put it on the back of the Venza after we bought it (my holder has pink ribbons on it for breast cancer awareness). Those are just a couple of examples of the exceptional customer service she demonstrated. Toyota Marin gave us a VERY fair price on our trade in; and the amount they offered was good for a week whether or not we purchased a vehicle from them....Wow, they didn't make it contigent on our purchasing a vehicle from them, which was totally unexpected by us. And signing all the paperwork went amazingly smooth. Kudos, thumbs up, hats off, etc to Toyota Marin and Brooke in particular.

Wow! These guys are MIRACLE workers! As a single mother with bad credit, I had been having a terrible time trying to buy a car. After some painful experiences and getting turned down at other dealerships, I wasnt very optimistic when I showed up. He, along with Leslie, were able to secure the truck with a simple deposit that is completely refundable! Leslie called me 3 weeks before my truck was to arrive with great news that he tracked down the exact truck I wanted, but it included navigation. Worried that I was going to be paying for navigation that I didn't want in the first place, I went to see the truck and options. Leslie connected me with Raymond who went over the truck. I was sold, and the cherry on the cake was that Leslie worked with me on pricing since the truck had additional options that I wasn't prepared to purchase. Great experience. Record timing getting in and out in under 30 minutes. Will be buying my new car from there!

My husband and I were selling two cars and looking for another car which was proving hard to find. Ritsa from Toyota Marin met us to buy one of the cars. She looked at our second car, provided us with recent Carfax reports for both cars, and gave us the money we wanted. She spent a good half an hour looking at the second car, giving us tips on how to sell it, and ways to deal with some issues that she discovered with it. She didn't need to do that and her advice was invaluable. She is clearly very knowledgeable about cars and she taught us things that even my mechanical husband wasn't aware of. After that, she contacted me and told me she found the car that I was looking for. It was in LA, so she bid on it for me and got it shipped up to NorCal for me. It is a beautiful car, low miles, pristine condition and it was better than any of the used models that I found up here. Then Toyota Marin let us trade in the second car for what we were asking. It was the perfect win-win transaction and Ritsa made it all happen. She is great to work with, hands down.

Shopping for a used car online since I was looking for something specific. Contacted dealer via Cars.com. They initially responded quickly and described car. It sounded good so I sent a relative who lived nearby to test drive. She noted that the car had noticeable damage and the dealer was not willing to negotiate. Ric L. and Team made it just about as easy as possible to buy a new car. It was not something we were exactly looking forward to, but everyone was very knowledgeable and very helpful during the process. If someone didn't know the answer, they found someone who did know. Ric found the exact color car with extras I wanted, without us having to drive around all over. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and even found snacks for our hungry kids.

I went to look at a used Tacoma they had in stock. The vehicle was the cleanest I had looked at, in part because it had had light use from the previous owner, but I could also tell attention was made to clean the check over the truck thoroughly. They were happy to provide all of the service records for the truck, the test drive was relaxed and fun with plenty of time to do things like test the 4 wheel drive in a gravel lot, and the financing was easy to get through. The No-Haggle, No-Hassle pricing is a euphemism for "price is firm", which I personally think is a little ridiculous for a used vehicle, but I really couldn't complain as the asking price was several thousand less than that of other comparable Tacomas I had found at other dealers. Overall I had a great experience and would return to Toyota Marin for a used or new vehicle in the future.

I got to take my time choosing my car. The customer Service experience was very pleasant! I really enjoyed the time I was being helped looking at different cars. Ren was wonderful all the way along! I first met him in Jan but was not ready to buy. He was helpful, knowledgable, thorough and not pushy. When I was ready, I called him, he found the car with the features I wanted and two days later I had it at the price I wanted. He also helped me so I successfully sold my other car the next day! Very trustworthy, friendly and went the extra mile. Great customer service. David in finance was wonderful, too.

After buying several new cars in california, the biggest shock of all was finding out the most straight forward, plesent, personable and all around good people are at Toyota of Marin. I left with a smile not because of the great servise, upfront pricing or the truck I wanted. It was being treated like a human not just a credit report and a possible sale. I will refer anyone that I speak with to contact your team before wasting time anywhere else. Roman and Leslie are above and beyond the rest. Thanks for being real. My experience with Tyler and Las was fantastic. I am always a little hesitant to buy a new car as the experience can be stressful -- both in trying to ensure that as a buyer that you are getting a fair deal and not feeling pressured. Tyler and Las made my wife and I feel comfortable during the entire process and even remembered our names a month after our initial visit.

My Sales Agent Josh Feinberg was great. He was extremely helpful and went out of his way to accomadate any of our requests. He was exactly the opposite of other Car sales agents that i have worked with in the past who are typically, pushy, cheesy, and insincere. Josh's customer service is what really stood out for me and I am extremely impressed that he continues to follow up with me to make sure that i am satisfied with my purchase. I will definitely send any of my friends or family to Josh at Toyoya Marin when they are looking to buy a car.

new 2014 Corolla S is beautiful, my sales guy Enrique was great, very helpful. Cathy was great too, she was fast. Robert the appraiser was excellent. Arnimas, not sure how to spell that, was good. In the end they gave me a gorgeous car at a good price, so I'm very happy.

Our salesperson was not pushy and very friendly - he answered all of our questions and never seemed impatient. He was also quick to get us a car from a sister dealership when the color we wanted wasn't in stock. Also, while I haven't needed to use it yet, I think the free car washes is a nice bonus.The financing people really push you to purchase an extended warranty. Ours didn't even offer the standard 2 year, 25,000 mile warranty, implying that our only option was to purchase the extended warranty. Other than that it was an easy, albeit long, process.The only issue we had was a miscommunication where we got a 2014 Camry SE Sport instead of a 2014.5. When we originally called back we were told it would be an additional $3000 to exchange, but after speaking to the manager we were able to make it an even trade (within 3 day return window). The two models are almost identical but the enhanced crash safety was very important to us.

Our salesman showed us what we asked to see. Then based on our comments, told us which ones would probably fit out needs best. He never tried to sell us more than we needed. He found what we needed.Due to delays, our car was not ready when promised, but he made up for it by making the delivery very convenient.He reworked the numbers for me several times, until the down and the payments matched what I was comfortable with.
