Tim is the nicest and most courteous car salesman I have ever met. I highly recommend Upstate Auto. They did all of the paperwork and took care of all of our requests without the blink of an eye. Best car buying experience ever!!

Was looking at buying used vehicles and was having trouble with the price range. Tom was very helpful trying to find a vehicle the fit what I was looking for. After looking at a couple different trucks and talking about new I decided with a lease and am very happy with my decision and for all the help Tom had given me. Very pleasant staff in the service dept. as well.

I had an Outback which I had been searching for again, but couldn't find one West, East or South of Saranac Lake. I decided to listen to my husband and go outside my comfort zone and reached out to Upstate Auto for a vehicle. No pressure, pleasant discussions on my wants vs. my needs in a new vehicle. I test drove one and wa-la, I now own it within a week. Thanks to Tom and the small hometown customer service that was given. I look forward to enjoying my new experience of driving a Jeep.

You will be hard pressed to find a better dealership to work with. The service center is top notch, and the sales team is extremely friendly and most of all, honest. I have purchased two new cars from them in the past 5 years and my wife has purchased one used car. I have nothing but great things to say about the team, and they have earned my business for years to come. If you are in the market for a new car, I highly recommend that you give them the opportunity to earn your business. You will find your time is well spent.

I had decided to trade in my 2011 VW Jetta. My neighbors had both purchased vehicles from Upstate Auto. They told me positive things about the dealership. I decided to go local... Was treated with respect, compassion, and no high pressure sales. Thank you Tom. Being a former Jeep owner , I decided that it was time to return to a Jeep. The Compass was the right fit for me for the inclement weather up here by the Canadian border in the Winter. I am sure that my relationship with the vehicle and the dealership will be a positive one for the long run... Thankyou, Tom and all at Upstate Auto!

We had been researching for a month online to area Dealers including those near Albany, NY, Plattsburgh, NY, Queensbury,NY Elizabethtown,NY and Vermont and New Hampshire. The car is for our daughter who is attending College in Florida so we needed: Reliability, Well Priced, Gas Mileage, Age and Low Mileage for travelling to and from and within the city. Although there were many cars within the price range, upon visiting we not only were shown limited vehicles but none which completely fit all our criteria. We went to Upstate Auto because of reputation and what seemed a great inventory. Within A DAY Tim had our daughter in a wonderful vehicle both sound and well priced. It also was newer and a great first car for insurance and solid. We are thrilled! He LISTENED to what we needed! We plan to return for a newer vehicle for us either in a purchase or Lease. VERY WELL satisfied!

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a car, new or used. i dealt with both tim and tom, the two salesman that are also the owners. It made it nice that the owners were the salesman, they were able to give me the best deal possible without having to check with a superior or worry about getting in trouble with a boss. i felt like i got the vehicle that i wanted to get and not the vehicle that they wanted me in. i met the service and parts dept. and everyone was very pleasant and eager to help me with whatever i needed, so if your looking for a vehicle and dont want to get bombarded with pushy salesman, then i highly recommend this place

Both my wife and I buy and service our vehicles at Upstate Auto Service. We have been coming here for years, and I can't say enough positive things about the dealership! The staff is warm, caring and very professional, and you are always treated with respect. Tim and Tom Hesseltine are top-notch salesmen- very knowledgeable and fair, hard-working and honest...... and their mechanics are superior technicians! I feel very confident and safe when they work on our cars. I know that the job is done right, and that I have no worries when I drive off the lot. I find everyone there to be kind, caring, professional and very knowledgeable in their fields of expertise, and they go above and beyond for their customers.
