Making the decision to purchase a new car is a really big deal to my husband and I. So we were happy to have a salesman, Tom Aspromonte, be the guy we were lucky enough to have help us through the process. I started a search for a Honda in the Fort Lauderdale area. Then remembered a friend, Chris, that has been in the auto industry for a long time. She linked me up with Tom Aspromonte at Vatland Honda. We worked everything out on the phone, I drove a little extra, but walked into an environment that was relaxed and no 'drama'. Robin helped me with a service contract that fits my needs and expectations for longevity of this purchase.This was a refreshing change from my test drive locally where the whole 'pitch' was 'how do we get you into a car today' like I experienced in the local dealership. (The sales guy backed off but multiple emails and phone calls later, I cannot get rid of the sales pitches, surveys, certificates for savings, etc.)The experience with Tom and Vatland was a great.

As a first time dealership customer, I remember feeling nervous right before my appointment with Tom. I am beyond surprised. There is no room for negative comments. He made me feel at ease from the start and I really felt like it was important for him to know that I was happy and above all comfortable. What really helped was the way he organized his time with me. From the test drive to the paperwork, we went step by step thanks to Tom. Without him, I would have never made a decision. He explained the many features that I had no clue my car has. He also explained my loan information in such a way that is not only convenient, but a great deal. Ed listened to my needs and wants and took me to the car that fit my budget and desire! He truly had my best interest at heart and did not try to up-sell me. He and the finance manager can truly be trusted and they will have my business in the future as well as my friends! Thanks for nothing Vatland! I purchased a used car six months ago along with a $2400 extended warranty. This week I had to make $1900 worth of repairs to the car. The warranty company and the mangers at Vatland called it "maintenance". I trusted Vatland to sell me a reliable used car. I am a single mom and I work two jobs. The need for a reliable car that I wouldn't have to make expensive repairs on is the reason I went there in the first place.

We leased 2 cars and purchased a motorcycle so took much longer than a straight purchase but Tom Aspromonte made it a great experience, even coming in on his day off and staying late to make sure we were taken care of. Tom Aspromonte helped us with our new CR-V and he made the process easy. We were at the dealership to have our Accord serviced and started looking at CR-V's because my lease was going to be up in two months. Tom told us that we could turn the old car in early and get into the new vehicle right away. He found the vehicle we required on the lot and we took it home that day. Let me tell you a story: A while ago Tom Aspromonte and I tried at Vatland Honda and I tired but failed to negotiate a purchase. Tom was extremely apologetic we shook hands and went our separate ways. The other day I was standing in my front lawn and a vehicle drove slowly by it stopped and the window opened and Tom waved and smiled. He was in the neighborhood and recognized me and stopped just say Hi. The fact he remembered me was impressive but the fact he stopped just to say hi, no ... sales pitch, no ... I see you still have your old car, no ... you should stop by so we can talk, he wasn't even running for public office. Just Hi, how is the family? I was so impressed with his friendly attitude that a few days later my wife were back at the dealership and purchased a new Honda Odyssey. Honestly I got a deal I didn't think I could, or would get. As the title says, this was by far the best dealership experience I've ever had. No hassle, no pressure, nothing but a pleasant experience. Working with Tom Aspromonte was great. He was patient and professional as my wife and I took our time looking at the different Odysseys on the lot. We left with our new minivan and absolutely love it. Even the finance process was great. Our 2004 car had become unreliable, so we'd searched the dealers in or near Vero Beach. Hubby was upfront about not making a snap decision. In spite of that statement, a few car salesman were left angry. We decided to keep looking for a reasonably priced vehicle to fit our budget. That's when we met up with Jacques Pons at Vatland Honda. He thoroughly explained EVERY detail--was so patient with us old fogies. He came up with a one owner used vehicle that I thought was perfect. The papers have been signed, and they will have the car ready in a couple days. In the meantime, they provided a very nice loaner. My hubby and I are quite pleased with the way they treat us customers.

Tom is a great person, not just a salesman. He treats you like family and looks out for your best interest. My husband and I had already done a lot of research online previous to starting our actual search so we knew we either wanted to stay with ford or get a honda. we're starting a family so a small suv was what we wanted - the crv or the hrv. AFter a bad experience at ford, we went ahead to honda to see if they could salvage the day. within an hour we had driven both cars and all of our research had been confirmed. we asked our salesman Jake Kelley to see what the numbers looked like if we put what we wanted down and leased for 3 years. 5 minutes later detailed numbers were in our hands that were far better than we expected - and got us the crv we wanted instead of the hrv we would have settled for. The next day Jake came and picked us up at our house - my husband doesn't drive so we needed a ride to the dealership to pick up our new car - in the actual car we were buying. An hour and a half later we were home with our phones already synced to the car, registration done, and the car was listed on our insurance! perfect!

Received price of car, which I felt was good. When told them had a trade, they up there price!of what they were giving me for my trade ! That's called working the "NUMBERS". An Insult to my intelligence. I like many, do my homework before buying anything. I belong to three different car clubs.( Sheby America, Mazda Speed, & Corvette Club of America). I know what my car is worth, before I walk into a dealer. I told them " You said the car I was looking at was this price. Why didn't you tell me the price of the car with "All Your Dealer Add On's", when I asked ? I (We) know, because you thought I would by the car for the "Original Price". Maybe because you really didn't want my car on a trade ? So, let's work the numbers. This guy looks like a goon. I have bought cars from Vatland before. And have had all my other Honda's serviced there as well. My secretary , has also bought three Honda's from you people. As a business man in Vero Beach for more than 25 years, l like doing business with my local businesses. I will continue to do so as long as I'm treated fairly. First getting the deal done. Then taking time to pick me up at a car rental office. Jacques was exceptional in sharing and instructing us on how to operate the devices in the car. Can I give a zero star rating? I would! This company is who we used when looking for a new car. My husband had been speaking with Jake Kelly for 2-3 weeks. He said he thought he got the best deal and they gave us the most for our trade in. We went up there and the minute I met this salesman, I did not like him or get a good feeling from him. He basically wanted us to sign the papers for the car, sight unseen, and no test drive. Are you kidding me??? So we told him and he looked put out. He said how he got the car "all ready." All ready for what?!?!? Really? So we went for a normal test drive and (let me be honest, I was so happy with my old car, did not want a new one, hubby really wanted a new car, so I gave in, so I may have had some hesitation, needless to say) well we ended up saying ok to the car. Did the normal paperwork etc...I started feeling a little better and we left our old (awesome) car there and drove away in the new one. We drove for about an hour to our family's house for a Memorial Day celebration. We stayed for maybe 2 1/2 hrs and the car wouldn't start. Despite many people assisting and many cars to help try and jump start, car wouldn't do anything. How frustrating - we are past our kids bedtime, 30-40 min from home. We didn't know what to do, so my husband called our salesman and it went to voicemail, unable to get anyone on Memorial Day weekend (awesome). We even tried the Honda service and they were going to come, so should we wait? And this is when the hesitation started seeping in. A brand new car can't start off the Honda lot? Bottom line: I DON'T WANT THIS CAR!! So then I said well I don't want Honda service to come, unless they can bring back to Vatland Honda. The Honda service would only tow to closest Honda dealer and that isn't what I wanted. Let me tell you we didn't know what to do. This felt like a lemon of a car. The next morning we spoke with our Vatland salesman and Honda service and car was towed to closest dealer. My husband continued to speak with our salesman and tried over and over to tell him we no longer want this car. Again it being Memorial Day weekend he said there wasn't much he could do. We asked to speak with someone that can and he said they have a manager on duty but "he's with a client," then next time "he's on the phone." I took over the phone call and got frustrated and stressed and he gave me so much attitude it put me over the edge. Let me also say, throughout all of this there was not one apology, "I'm so sorry this happened"...nothing of the sort. Just kinda "can't help you, let me off the phone"...crap. So I requested that the manager call us back within 30 minutes. So after 45 minutes, we realized we were not going to get anything resolved unless we drive the hour to the dealership. We got there and everyone seemed to hear our story and a separate salesman did apologize for what had happened. **That was the one and only apology we received, nice huh? **So needless to say I requested to NOT see our salesman ever again and that we were just there for the manager, Tony. When we finally spoke with him, no apologies just words of what they did right, blah blah blah...I again had to be strong and told him we no longer want this car, he would only say that when you drive car off lot you cannot bring it back. (I had heard you have 3 days) Then he stated that it would have to be the General Manager (David Vatland) that can assist us in that decision. He works Tuesday but only until 4-4:30 and we both work an hour away and have two young children. My husband did get him on the phone and all he said he would do for us was a Outback Gift Card for our trouble. Really?? That's it!?!? WE DON'T WANT THIS CAR!! I got so mad at my husband (I apologized to him later) and realized I should have been the one to talk, I'm a nurse and to talk on the phone at work is hard to do. I tried other options but we are stuck with a car that is probably fine, I did want a different car since this one couldn't last 6 hours with us. I would have appreciated kindness and understanding and support and someone to work with us. We have since called GM (David Vatland) and have not heard back. Typical of Vatland, now I see. I will educate people about this horrible dealership from beginning to end, I will tell friends, family, coworkers (and I work in a hospital), anyone that will listen: pick another Dealer, there are so many!! Don't go to this one!!! They basically ruined our buying experience. Purchasing a new car can be exciting and fun and they ruined that for us over and over...through and through. Never again. **My husband wants to make sure everyone know that HOW they handled this WHOLE situation was very unprofessional, **poorly done Vatland.

My wife and I are on the verge of making a move. This move will be where NOT JUST ANY CAR will do. We came to Vatland Honda on a Saturday afternoon after seeing an older model Honda at a supermarket near our home. We were looking for an all wheel drive (AWD) car that would be very useful to where we are going. We walked onto the car dealer's lot not knowing but knowing we wouldn't be by ourselves very long. After all it's what we come to expect when you walk onto a car lot. Anyone worth their hire should be attentive to those that do come around for they are not there to waste time. We met a very impressive "young" man (Tom Aspromonte) that cordially introduced himself and us to him and not beating around the bush asked what we were looking for. I told him my experience in the parking lot and told him we need an AWD vehicle and wanted to know if Honda made them and if they had any on the lot. He took us to a pre-owned car after clarifying whether or not we wanted new or used and the car was somewhat hidden in the corner of the lost with another car blocking the view of it. The long story short: We drove it home that day! It's exactly what we wanted. Was it the best deal that could be made? I'm not a "tire kicker" and neither is my wife. I'd bought a Honda from Vatland Honda before and WE loved it. We hated to let it go. But it served our need at the time and now our need had changed. I had to trust Tom and I do. I'll buy again from Vatland and I'll look for that young man to be my mediator. I hope he stays young.

I moved to Vero Beach three years ago from Georgia. I had purchased a Honda Element 2007 from CarMax in Atlanta 2012. Vatland Honda service department has been unbelievable in their care and maintenance of this vehicle since the move. Well earlier this week (March 29-31, 2016) my wife and I started to talk about trading in the Element for a Pilot. We checked the CarMax site on Tuesday night since I had a good experience when purchasing the Element. We talked about five we were interested in. Just before turning for the night I stated why not look at the Vatland site since they would be the folks to service the new vehicle.So on Wednesday I looked to find a couple there we would like to see. While the Vatland's site I requested estimate on the possible trade in value of the Element. I filled in the questionnaire (real easy and simple). I also added in the notes that I would be in the service center on Thursday morning, 8 am to have a window fixed. So I arrived and was sitting in the waiting room when I observed one of the sales staff with clipboard looking over and in the Element.. Less than an hour I was down and back out doing other errands. I got a call from Vatland sales about my request for a estimate. I made a 2 pm appointment to stop and and see what they had to say. Once I arrived I was met by Jacques Pons, Sales Consultant. He took me out to the available Pilots and we chatted and he went to get a set of keys for a test drive. The drive and vehicle were GREAT, a 2015 Certified Pre-owned Honda Pilot. Now I figured it would be at least a week or two before we got everything looked at the various dealers, so I was not in a big rush. No pressure, hype or arm twisting took place, just conversation with Jacques, a fellow who seemed like a old friend. I had planned on taking money out of savings to pay off the Element to make any trade in bearable. I had a figure in mind what we would pay for the right vehicle, (low mileage, not too many extra and a ball park for total cost). Well Vatland Honda, Jacques Pons and the rest of the sales crew BLEW MY SOCKS OFF with everything they offered, trade in, price tag and on a PRIME model with way more bells and whistles that we need (but love to have). Needless to say in about three hours time, I now have that 2015 sitting fully registered in my driveway. I still don't believe it happened or how they managed to make such a fabulous deal. but they did. I loved the service department but can add that the sales department is the best I ever have dealt with EVER. on a scale from 1 to 10, they get 15 THANK YOU!

Will not ever go back to Vatland honda. From the beginning with Brandon Stone, he told the tires were new and found out later that the tires with 36,000 miles old. He did the car transfer from the old car to the new while I was in the finance department never asked for permission. Found a lot of things missing out of my car made several phone calls and nobody calls you back finally had to go in there after I found a cracked headlight and I was told that it had the 120 point inspection. Wrong again they ordered the lens headlight and had it installed and found another broken bracket in the back end of the car. Realized my car wash money was missing and after the repair was done was handed a bag of change filled with nickels and pennies from Brandon. Eas told this was my change. My car wash money was all quarters. At this point, I was Furious wanted to talk to Dave Vatland was told by him he was very busy but I told him I would wait told him all the issues and he sat there with a grin on his face and didn't seem to care at all he looked straight at me and said you're not getting new tires. THIS is the last time me or my family or friends or clients will ever use this dealership I want everyone to know how badly I was treated and how unprofessional the dealership is.

After choosing the Honda we were going to buy, we were extremely pleased with the salesman, John Vasquez, and the whole experience at Vatland Honda. The price we wanted to pay was met and our trade-in was fair. John fully explained all of the bells and whistles on the car and was very professional and helpful. There were no surprises with the final paperwork (this happen previously at another dealership) and we were very happy when we drove the car home.

Jacques Pons was sincere in his attitude and I felt I could trust him. He answered all my concerns with the paperwork as well as tutoring me on the new vehicle. He was not rushed and was patient with my questions. Jacques also showed pride and confidence in Vatland, assuring me I would receive good care in the service department and encouraging me to enjoy Ladies Day and the coffee bar. I called the dealership and was able to get an oil/tire rotation the same day. I had questions about the headlights. A lot of people were flashing their high beams at me. Mr. Rick Ellis, service department, checked it out and they were working normal.. In addition, while waiting in the sales area, I met Tom Aspromonte. We got to talking about the new Honda vehicles (the smaller CR) In addition, I mentioned that my vehicles' seats seemed smaller. He figured out the problem and demonstrated that I just had to adjust the lumbar setting (button on the side of the seat). These guys are good at what they do and I was glad to meet them.

I brought my Honda in for a diagnosis for front end vibration at times. I worked with Juan in Express check in service. He was superb and did everything he could along with the mechanic who worked on the car. After the mechanic diagnosed the problem along with Juan who knew what the problem was when I explained it. It took almost 8 hours to do the repairs with brining me home and picking me up after the work was completed. [ too bad you don't have any loaners available} a little bit of inconvenience] . Anyway, I am completely satisfied with the work and the software package , radiator and transmission mountings and headrest replacement was more than I expected with this problem. Great work. My car runs great and no vibrations occur. Accolades to Juan and to the repair person who did the work.

My Pilot was having an alarm issue(Going off for no reason at all hours) and they were patient and thorough.There is no way to diagnose what the issue is as it is a 2003, only time and patience. I have been using Vatland Honda for service for the past (almost) eight years, so I'm already aware of their great Service Department and Service team. They do everything in their power to assure that the maintenance is done in a timely manner per their estimated timeframe. Also, their Service team is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the necessary work and/or preventive service to keep our vehicles running smoothly and reliably. After spending several months researching various vehicles which may get better gas mileage than my vehicle at that time, I drove into Vatland's previously owned section one afternoon. Although just "window shopping", a particular vehicle caught my eye and I decided to get out and check on it. Their Salesman, Robert Muir, who was in a nearby area of the lot, saw me peeping through the windows so came over to see if he could answer any questions for me. After his overview of the car, Bob asked if I would like to give it a test drive to see how it handled. Since it was a hybrid, he not only went over all the features, but especially those unique to hybrids and this vehicle in particular.Once I decided I was interested in the car, Bob Muir and I negotiated the deal, and then he thoroughly explained various items I may wish to include to protect it's interior/exterior, Extended Warranty for peace of mind regarding potential future costly mechanical issues, pre-paid Service Plan which could save money over time, etc. He introduced me to David Farewell so that he could handle all the paperwork regarding the purchase Contract, add-ons I had selected, etc. Mr. Farewell reviewed everything with me again to assure I was completely satisfied with my decisions and to answer any questions I may have. Once everything was complete, Bob took a considerable amount of time to once again review the features and to assure that my cell was synched with the car, etc.The entire process could not have gone any more smoothly from start to finish. Recently, I had the car in for some simple service. Both Lon Mowery and Ron Sullivan of the Service Department were attentive, extremely helpful, knowledgeable in answering any of my questions, etc. I was in and out quickly after waiting briefly in their comfortable waiting area ... complete with TV, shoe shiner machine, available beverages, and outlets for charging our electronics, etc. My husband also uses Vatland Service for his non-Honda vehicle and is extremely pleased with them.I would highly recommend Bob Muir in Sales and Lon and Ron in Service to assist you with your needs, but venture to say that all of Vatland's team will also be friendly, cordial, helpful, informative, and do whatever they can to make your experience with them as enjoyable as possible.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Vatland Honda and I could not be more pleased with the process. From the salesman Josh, who was very informative and friendly, to the Finance Manager David who went above and beyond to get me the best deal possible. I was in a time crunch to get the deal done, as I was leaving town the next day and everyone involved made sure they did what they could to make things move quickly. I was also greeted with a smile and hello from any employee that I came into contact with. Along with a new car, I was also given a large (very large) stuffed animal for each of my girls (they even got to pick them out). It's a small gesture, but it was an added bonus that made my kids happy. It truly was a great experience!! I highly recommend Vatland Honda for your next vehicle purchase!!

the work on my crv is great...service advisor NOT so great. I came in for service with coupons (total of 135.00) I'm on a fixed income..i don't like the service advisor backing me into a corner stating I need MORE things done to a total of $321.00..I'm used to dealing with Lon Mowery (great guy-he listens to my concerns)..the advisor I used last visit 'gets into my face'-made me feel like if I don't have his recommendations it's 'oh well' get it done...

I've been dealing with this dealer for over 5 years, I drive 3 hours for any major issues. This was my 2nd purchase in 5 years. 1st used, got 95,000 miles out of Accord with 112,000 on it, sold it years later for amazing money. That was a great deal. Now purchased the HRV 2016 yesterday. Stay away from this dealership! All they're interested in is making a quick sale and getting your money. There was absolutely no follow up from salesman, sales manager or any customer service at all. Questions to them were ignored. Price I paid was highest of three online listings and the vehicle was missing the 2nd master key, driver keypad code and owners manual.

The Accord that I purchased in 2013 has needed no significant repairs. The maintenance is covered by a service agreement I purchased with the vehicle. They have taken care of all maintenance properly. This visit they pulled up a recall software upgrade and performed that. Best of all, the car wash I purchased should never have washed off all the sticky Florida bugs off the front end. But they put in the care and elbow grease to get them all off without requiring the more expensive detailing. This exceeded my expectations

Received call from service rep. Rick and made appt. for recall service. Rick was waiting for us at appt. time and we discovered that car was also due for an oil change so he was able to take car of that also. He phoned when car was ready -- in a reasonable time -- and we picked up the car and paid for service. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. Came in for a recall....was very surprised since I never had a recall in all my years owning Hondas. However, it was only the handle in the rear to aid passengers in getting out of car. They fixed this and I had an oil change and tire rotation.

I just bought my second new car from Vatland Honda. I love Honda vehicles. The sales process went smooth with Jake. I was a pleased with that portion. I left and I was called back saying the car was ready. It was not filled with gas and Jake had to leave to do it. The car had been in the showroom and I was told that they would detail it. There was no detailing done. There was dust all over the inside of the vehicle which I noted to Jake. Also he was unable to pair my iPad to the Bluetooth. The less was so quick that I had to call my daughter who has that model to tell me how to get to the navigation system. Very complex.

Jake, our salesman, was very professional at all times. He knows every detail except how to disconnect the automatic locks. (perhaps can't be done). He was awesome and I will definitely refer our friends to him. However, the guy in back who took our $25,000 became very huffy when we refused the extended warranty (certification). Just because he can afford a new Honda every year with extended certification, doesn't mean that everyone can. We trust that this Honda will carry us without complications right in to Cox Gifford!!

My car was in for just regular maintenance - oil change and check-up. The service agent, Juan, was ready to check my car in promptly. He later explained my car needed a new battery which I felt was warranted as I had noticed some hesitation in starting the engine. In a very reasonable time the car was ready. Had called for a service appointment earlier same day. 1st oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived my service writer was busy with a prior customer but I was next in line. While awaiting the service writer, David Vatland came by and wished me Merry Christmas with a handshake and a nice smile.Took about 5 minutes to get the service order done and then I waited in the service waiting area and had a cup of coffee and visited with my sales rep. while the techs did their work. Just about one hour later, Rick came to go over the completed service order and we walked over to the cashier. I was then on my way. Prompt friendly service. I am on my 7th car from Vatland. One GM and 6 Hondas. The service and the friendly attitude are what keep me coming back.

This was by far the best car buying expirence I have ever had. We were greeted by the owner, David Vatland, upon arriving at the dealership. I was recently in a bad car crash and all Vatland employees were very sympathetic to that fact. They were very patient in answering my questions and took the time to show me all of the cars features. I'm glad I did. Jacques Pons was the sales consultant. He was kind, patient and informative. The manager, Tony and the finance manager, David were also very pleasant and patient. Additionally, they were supposed to close at 5:00 p.m. All three were they with me until about 7:15 p.m. It was a Saturday. Please don't be like me. I went in for an oil change. The service staff was friendly & efficient. However, while I was waiting for my car to be serviced, I was shocked by the sales staff. They were completely unprofessional. 2 of them were covered in tattoos. All of them were on their cell phones. The worst part was the behavior of what appeared to be a manager.... He was dressed in a shirt & tie. His name was Tony. He went outside & smoked right at the entrance. Every time the door opened, I got a whiff of smoke. Then he came in & sat down & watched tv. Sad thing is, I was actually considering purchasing a new car today, but, I will travel back down to Coggin in aft. Pierce.... Like I have for several years. Truly a shame

I bought my last car from Vatland Pontiac, a 2005 Vibe and have been pleased with it until we decided to down size to one vehicle. My wife had A 2003 HUNDAI xg350. I talked to RON and came down to see what he had to offer me.When I pulled into your lot I saw this RED Kia soul. and I knew thats what I wantedRon put the deal all together so I got rid of both old cars and drove home with what I wanted. We we on vacation when a tire blew out. I contacted Mr. Rick Ellis a few minutes before closing. Rick was able to work us in first thing the following morning. We were very impressed with how they took care of us and the speed at which they replaced all 4 tires and performed a complete alignment. The entire process from the time we arrived until we drove off the lot was only 70 minutes! When I retire we intend to move to the Vero Beach area, and I will be a regular customer.

Words can't express how GREAT an experience I had with Vatland Honda and Service Manager LON MOWERY. Here's the quick story: I was visiting my dad in Vero Beach (I live in Nashville, TN.) and knew it was time to have some regular maintenance done on my 2005 Honda Odyssey. After the work was completed I drove a 150 miles further south when, a day or two later, one of the parts that had been replaced malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to be immobilized. I called Vatland fully expecting that they probably wouldn't do anything or saying something like, "If you can get your van back up here, Mr. Franklin, we'll look at it for you." Instead, Lon Mowery sprung to action. He told me that Vatland would not only pay to have the work completed at a different Honda dealership, but they would also pay ALL expenses to get me to a business meeting 700 miles away!Further, Lon took PERSONAL interest in our plight, even calling me on his way home from work, something he certainly didn't have to do. I highly recommend Vatland Honda and Lon Mowery. It's no wonder my dad has bought a vehicle from them and has spoken well about their service department. Vatland gives car dealerships a GOOD name! We are extremely nice people and were treated very badly. Car just arrived at dealership brand new and had scratches. Was told we would be notified when to come in and have them repaired and never called us back. Made several calls salesman said he never got... Continued to lie. Salesperson Brandon Stone was not very pleasant from day one. I am not sure what happened during this sale but somewhere along the line something went wrong and he was down right "RUDE". I am thinking he screwed up on the paper work and tried to make it out that I was some kind of criminal and looking to steal the car. In the end it was all worked out but I will "NEVER" buy another car from this dealership.

This is the third vehicle we have purchased from Vatland. The process seems to only get better with time. Jaques Pans made the transaction as easy and pleasurable as possible. The car that we purchased was not a high dollar vehicle as far as car pricing goes yet we felt we were treated like we were purchasing top of the line. No long wasted time waiting for decisions of management, just straight forward "we can't do that, but we can do this". The car had a couple of small issues but thanks to Jaques and the Vatland crew, they were taken care of in less than a day. After doing a marathon trip over a weekend trying to find "the best deal" we ended up back at where we started with these guys and couldn't be happier! My wife and I drove onto the dealership excited about the possibility of buying a new car. But on the other hand, leery of the trade in deal we were probably going to reject. We hadn't had a car payment in 5 yrs. The treatment we received from all of the Vatland staff completely blew away any experience we have ever had buying vehicles at other dealerships. Jaques, our salesman, was polite and very patient. Robin and Rick, our financial handlers, went well beyond anything we could have imagined to put us in our new Accord. We did not have to bicker over the selling price of the Accord or the trade in value of our Murano. The completed deal was even better than we had hoped. Vatland gave us more than we wanted for our Murano and we drove off the lot paying less than we expected. It was so enjoyable, our daughter bought a Civic a week later. Vatland Honda was the best car buying experience we have ever had!

Tony Dizuzio, the Sales Manager, has some excellent teamwork going there at Vatland. My first contact was with Michelle Causey who gave me a warm welcome on the phone and talked at length with me about what kind of car I thought I needed. She had some good suggestions. After she spoke with Tony, so he could see what my options were on cost, she spoke with Joshua Rivera, Sales Consultant, who took me on a number of test drives, showed me how all the new features work, and answered all my questions, clearly and patiently, as did Tony with the numbers and costs, as did Rick Harris, the Finance Manager, who pulls all the paperwork together to complete the job. Brian was kind enough to go through other cars and we took the civic for a ride. he explained everything about that car. boy is he thorough! We were not sure if we really wanted to trade our van in on a CR-V but we have a motorhome and did not like towing the van on a tow dolly. It worked but was not a great solution, we knew we could tow FLAT the CR-V and that is why we went to Vatland. Mr. Pons was very friendly, knowledgeable and understand our needs right away. When we refused to do the deal offered on day 1 he accepted our reluctance and bid us good bye with an appointment for the next day. We are glad they were nice about that. Some dealers are not. This fact alone was extremely important to us in our situation. The next day we did return a bit late but anyhow we decided the vehicle we were discussing the day before was not the one we really wanted but we had another one on their lot to test drive, and it actually was a bit more expensive. Mr. Pons got the keys for it we test drove it and it really did meet our needs so we bought it. It is an all wheel drive unit and just liked it much better. We really liked the way they handled the deal for us and we felt we got really wonderful service from Mr. Pons.

I was in the market for a late model Chrysler Pacifica, in mid Florida, after an accident totaled my previous car.. I used internet sales to locate vehicles in my vicinity. As an experienced price conscious buyer, i did a lot of research on the vehicle and re seller pricing. allowed myself a few weeks to find the right price condition combination.My first surprise was to find a used car salesperson answering on hi personal cell phone on a Sunday afternoon. He answered all my questions on family time and promised to verify the information on the following Monday. Sure enough Monday morning a received a text with additional info I requested. In case u have not gone used car shopping lately, getting info on an advertised used car is difficult enough, much less the personalized attention. in the previous week I had travelled 65+ miles to Orlando Dealers (KIA) territory, one of whom swore the car I saw in the ad was available and was in his presence. In short no car, no reason for absence, and wasted and expensive trips(s). Incredibly frustrating and experience enough to hate all KIA dealers for the remainder of my life.The Car offered by Rick was in immaculate, as described. and ready to roll for my test ride on Tuesday morning.The only caveat was information display on the dash "service tire system soon". I asked if that could be fixed before delivery, Rick agreed but said the local Chrysler dealer was not the best of the lot, and took their time with customer confounding computer riddles and would fix the car on his own time.I asked Rick if he would put it writing that if i were to undertake the repair in my town, if his dealership would reimburse me. I tool delivery and had the repair done locally. I received a check for $109.00 a week later.I am very incredibly satisfied with my experience with Rick and the dealership in general.Thank you Rick noFuss and Vatland Honda

Jack Pons was very professional and not pushy. After viewing some used vehicles and not agreeing with the finance manager, we left. Jack did a follow up call the following day. I told him what we could afford to pay. He reassured me that the company would work with us. We returned and we got the payments that we knew would fit into our budget. Love the car!! I am very pleased with the service and greetings I receive when I walk the Vatland Dealership is one of the cleanness I have ever been in. Every one including the mechanics have a very pleasant way of speaking. One thing I like the most is the coffee section that is where Bethany is employed. She is so intelligent and very pleasant and she makes the best coffee. Also great cookies. A dealership is very important and all I can say is Vatland is number one in my book. We had to service our daughter's car before we drove it back to California. Ronald guaranteed that all of the work he recommended we have done would be what he would do if he was driving across country. We were at his mercy as we had to depart the next day. Once we returned to California, we had our mechanic look at what we had done He said most of the work was unnecessary and the labor charged was excessive even if it had really had to be done. We should have been able to have the car serviced for at most $400 total, but it ended up costing us $1200. He also tried to talk us into $300 worth of other unnecessary service, which would have brought it to $1500. I guess that it is industry standard to upsell at the dealerships, which is sad, but this is a tough one to swallow considering the time my husband spent talking with Ronald having him reassure us that all of the work should be done. We were definitely ripped off by Vatland Honda service department.

Just purchased an Accord Ex-L and I have to say that Vatland Honda lived up to its reputation, and then some. I was courteously greeted before I even entered the showroom and the sales rep that I dealt with (Jacques) was knowledgeable, respectful, informative, but never pushy. He listened to what I had to say, he read the notes that I brought in with me, and only then did he offer me some information and guidance, which in the end helped me to select the best vehicle for my needs and wants. He also introduced me to the people in the service department and I received a brief tour of the facility. The entire place was clean and orderly, spacious and attractive. Thanks, Jacques, for your help and especially for your patience. It took a lot of the stress out of the procedure for me of buying a new car. That has not been the case with other places I've dealt with in the past. That's what I consider true client service.

After 11 years I decided to trade in my vehicle for a new 2014 Honda CR-V. My husband and I, along with our four legged pet, Duke, met Jacques "Jack" Ponce, our salesman. He was most helpful in guiding us to make the right decision. I went back to work after my test drive, and my husband and Duke stayed with Jack to finish up the paperwork. I expected my husband was to be the first to drive the car out of the showroom and bring the car to my place of work, but that never happened. My husband who usually is very excitable in this type of sales transaction, actually was so relaxed in dealing with Jack, that he and the dog took a nap in the lobby chairs. When he woke up the paperwork was ready for signing. By that time I showed up, and I got to drive the car first out of the showroom. Jack was very apologetic, because it certainly didni't take that many hours to complete the paperwork. Actually, Jack was waiting on my husband to wake up, so he could sign the papers. Letting my husband and his dog fnish their afternoon nap, did allow me to be the first one to drive our new Honda off the showroom floor, and Jack was able to orient me to all the new features of this wonderful vehicle. If you are looking for a salesman who is sincere, thorough, and very patient, ask for Jack. You won't be disappointed.

The Internet Manager of Vatland Honda, who calls himself Mr. No Fuss, as well as Mr. Vatland himself, were extremely fussy and rude to me when I tried dealing with them via email. They were both very condescending in their replies and gave me a take it or leave it attitude, refusing to negotiate on what they claimed was the best deal they could offer. Well, as it turned out, I ended up getting a much better price from a competing dealer to the north. But I just do not understand why the folks at Vatland had to be so disrespectful when all I was trying to do was negotiate the best deal I could. Their customer service is extremely poor and I highly recommend other Honda shoppers to look elsewhere. Buying a new car should not be such a disconcerting experience, and no customer should ever have to receive the kind of negative email comments Mr. Vatland and his staff sent to me. Disgraceful!

I wanted a Odyssey EXL with Navigation and the silver paint, which turned out to be very scarce. It took two weeks to get one, but I am very happy with the car(mini van) and very happy Gus keeping me informed as they searched for one. All paperwork went smoothly. My wife and I stopped at Vatland as we drove by, exhausted from the dealer experiences elsewhere while trying to narrow down the SUV search with our 9-month-old and 3-year-old along for the ride. Jacques P. was our salesman and immediately made us feel comfortable, offering to have our car seats and children along for the test drive. There was zero pressure and zero volleying for a negotiable price. I gave a reasonable OTD offer and it took no intervention from myself to make it happen. Jacques worked quickly to make the appropriate transfers of insurance and title since we had young children approaching dinner time. As a bonus there is a large paly area for children and a nice atmosphere at the dealership. In addition, Robin S., the finance manager, went to bat for us and negotiated with our bank to fit a Honda ext. warranty into our budget. We will return to Vatland for our next vehicle. It was a very positive experience.

I recently had to replace my 19 year old Volvo. Sad as it was to lose an old friend, Gary Nash made buying my next car both easy and enjoyable. There have been many changes in the way cars are sold in twenty years. Gary took the time to answer all of my questions and even answered some I did not know to ask. I found the perfect car for the next decade (at least). I was given a tour of the dealership, introduced to the service department people, and was made to feel welcome by all. It made me realize that in the last few years I have felt almost compelled to apologize when asking people to do their jobs. All of the staff at Vatland Honda treated me like a valued customer. I was contacted by phone & email after I visited the website. The sales person Ken Luce was persistent in making contact. An appt was scheduled and we met. I decided I would like a used car instead of a new one and he immediately showed me 2 prospects. I purchased one of the 2 and the entire process was concluded in several hours. I am very happy with the service I was provided. The only item I find lacking is the follow up after the sale was made. No one contacted me to see how the car & I were doing. I feel good customer service is needed after the sale as much as before if you want a customer to return to you in the future.

Just bought a used Honda pilot from Monique Clark at Vatland! I absolutely love the car, it's exactly what we wanted! We drove a Tahoe for years and were alway annoyed that for all it's massiveness, still only fit five people!! The Pilot fits 8!! Also the Tahoe we had was supposedly the "limited" but the interior was still pretty basic. The Pilot touring has everything; moonroof, DVD, surround sound, an actual wall plug, extremely comfortable seats, adjustable back seats, really you name it! Monique Clark was our sales consultant and I could not have been more impressed with her! She was extremely knowledgable about the car and its features and even petitioned to get us more for our trade in! The financing was quick and painless and the whole thing took us about 5 hours total, including us hitting 5 other dealerships and test driving 2 other cars! I got a call from Monique today to check in and when I told her I was having a hard time working the headphones for the DVD player, she told me to come on in and she would get me right in to service! Great experience at Vatland!!

He turned out to be soft spoken, didn't pressure me into buying a used car, which I thank him for, because I went to see another dealer in Vero Beach and I told them I couldn't afford the monthly payment they were offering. Vatland Honda has the best Service Department that I have ever been to. They are honest, kind and actually care about maintaining a high level of customer service. Their prices are higher than elsewhere but I continue to go to them because it is worth it. They really do treat you like friends and no matter what issue you're having, they are willing and able to help. I have 2 children who actually enjoy going there and do not mind waiting while the car is fixed because it is such an enjoyable experience. Recently I had a major problem with my car and my Service Advisor, without any request from me, asked Honda if they would be able to discount the fee since I get all my service work there and Honda did! I cannot say enough about how great Vatland's Service Department is and how grateful I am.

I was surprised that a small local dealership could actually match and often beat the mega South Florida giants on pricing. The sales people (Marla & Ken) were extremely friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean with comfortable waiting areas, a playroom for small children, and a drink/cookie bar. I was not pressured in any way. It was a welcomed and pleasant experience. Getting an online quote and purchasing the car took very little time and was done on my time schedule. Again, I am pleased with the way I was treated and with the deal that I received. I can and do recommend Vatland Honda to all my friends.

Courtesy, friendly, honesty all define how my daughter was treated at Vatlenad Service this morning. Her her car suddenly felt "wrong" to her as she was driving from St. Augustine to South Florida to return to her university. She was nervous, and extremely upset. I checked the intenet and found that there was a Honda dealer about 25 miles away. Her mom and I told her to go to the Vatland Honda Dealership in Vero Beach. Mark and David quickly helped her, checked out the car, air pressure, power steering fluids and other possible areas of concern. Everything appeared normal and they were kind to her explaining that the road surface on the turnpike may have made the car sound odd. My car buying experience was nothing like the other trips I had at other car dealers. I had little to negotiate with because I had negative equity in the car I wanted to get rid of. The sales reps worked with my wife and I the entire process making sure this decision would benefit us more than them. The facility has a play room for kids that actually clean. There is also complimentary soft beverages/coffee and cookies while youe waiting. This dealer seems to have plenty of staff standing by making sure costumers do not have to wait long for their needs.

We visited based on an ad for a used Accord. By the time we arrived (we live about 40 miles away) the car that attracted us was sold. The Salesperson, Neil Jarman, showed us other used cars and then I wandered over to the new car section to look at a white CRV. Had checked dealer website and inquired about a Civic listed as an internet special. Contacted David Drenning and arranged to look at the car the next day while my Honda CR-V was in for service. Was warmly greeted the next day by Jack Orr, of sales, and offered to drive the Civic around town and to take my time while my CR-V was serviced. My wife and I both took turns driving the car and were impressed with the car and the friendly staff. During our test drive, I was contacted by Jame Mclaughlin of the service department and was told that my CR-V only needed an oil & filter change at this time and I could defer the more extensive service until the next oil change. Will promise you the world to get you come in and deliver nothing. I explained exactly what I had as a trade and what I needed to trade into. I was told to go ahead and drive up (an hour away). When I got there, Jaime who I spoke to on the phone and Dave (who did not respond to my em-mail) were then too busy to see me and pawned me off on Bill Green who was nice enough but told me my goal was unrealistic. They could give me what I wanted for my trade in but didn't have anything on the lot that would fit my parameters for a used car. The same ones I expressed to Jaime before I drove up. Now Jaime and Dave had nothing at all too say and Bill of course blamed them. I would have just been ok with that if it hadn't been for the condescending letter from Bill I received several days later thanking me for coming in and telling me to come back when my goals were more realistic ie a used car that was more than $12,000. so he could make more on it. I guess that is why they are laying off employees and have so few cars to sell. Who's goals are unrealistic?

The followup after the sales has been very good. The service manager I have been dealing with for the past year is also excellent.

Just moved to Florida from Vermont and knew nothing about the local dealerships. Started off at a different dealer and by the time we walked out of that place, my husband and I felt shell shocked and battle fatigued. The sales person made a minimum of 7 trips back to confer with his boss and the price never got down to where we wanted it to be. One trip to Vatland and dealing with Bill Shumacher and the deal was done! Bill made one quick trip to 'the boss' and came back with the right price...first time.The dealership building itself was a pleasure to be in. How can you beat homemade cookies baking right there at the snackbar?? Bill took plenty of time with us, explaining in detail, every aspect of the vehicle....and believe me, there are A LOT of aspects in a new Odyssey! My husband and I both greatly appreciated his calm, knowledgeable manner and patience with us while we tried to absorb the technicalities of voice commands! There was a follow-up call and letter. We are looking forward to a long and satisfying relationship with Vatland Honda.

Bill Green is the primary reason I have bought 5 cars from this dealer over the past 5 years. He's responsive, flexible, and honest. He does what he says he will do in a timely fashion. And he's a regular guy...not a fast talker, wheeler-dealer. I always enjoy working with Bill. The facility is top notch with customer comfort given great attention. I should also mention that the service department is professional and prompt. The process of buying a car is not on the top of anyone's "fun" list, but Vatland makes the experience as near to a good time as it can get!

Vatland Honda was recommended to me by a member of the community when I mentioned that I was looking to buy a Honda because of the dealer's reputation for friendly, efficient service. I cannot express enough how helpful Mr. Jordan and Mr. Green were in helping me navigate the purchase of a new car, which I have never done before. At my first ever visit to Vatland Honda, I was introduced to these gentlemen who sat down with me and calmly and thoroughly reviewed my options after listening to what I thought I wanted for a vehicle. Having used the 'BuildMyHonda' site on Honda.com website, I thought that a Fit Sport was possibly the car for me. They both talked with me about my driving needs, the variations in models and the accessories that I could choose from. I was able to view the models and accessories in booklets as they were explained to me. While we were talking about these options, Mr. Jordan was searching on his computer for the exact Sport model and color I was describing and found one coming in on a boat from Japan to the west coast of Florida in about 5 days. He told me that he would let the west coast dealer know that I would like to purchase this car. I felt very lucky because, as I fine-tuned my choice, I was wondering if one would even be available. Mr. Green kept me informed via phone and email throughout the entire process. We talked a few times about accessories and financing options were also explained. I was shown the service area, coffee shop and was introduced to the Service Manager. In just over a week, I was out the door with my car after going over it's operation, recommended servicing and various features of the vehicle. Mr. Green helped me organize my folder with the Owner's Manual, new registration and insurance documents and contact numbers that I might find helpful in the future. Both gentlemen were extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and seemed invested in the process of me getting just the car I wanted! And I received a follow-up phone call from both of them to ensure that I was satisfied with my vehicle and to assure me that Vatland Honda would be there for me if I need anything or have any questions about my car. I am very excited about my new Honda Fit and happy that I paid Vatland Honda a visit. I had no idea it would be such a positive experience!

My husband and I were shopping for a new car and were intrigued by the Honda loyalty mystique and decided to check out the Vero Beach dealership, Vatland. Our sales person, Ken Marr was courteous and knowledgeable and very devoted to the Honda line. We decided to test drive an Accord and were pleasantly surprised by the smoothness of the ride and interior appointments. Once Ken advised us there was a .9% car loan we were pretty much sold. The added bonus was the use of the Sam's Club discount, but as avid GM owners, we felt we should check out the new Buick Regal. I would like to thank the service staff at Vatland for helping me in a bad sitution. I had purchased a car new from Main Line Honda in Ardmore PA (Avoid them like the plague)and they sold me a damaged car, and they had hidden the damage. Vatland found the damage when I came in, although they couldn't repair it under warranty, Mr. Melvar and the service staff went out of their way to make sure that they would help me in any way possible to include filling the leaking area with silicone at no cost to me. I can't thank them enough.

My husband and I came in to this dealership at 10 AM and we found a great car. We were in the process of buying the car when all of the sudden our salesman, Robert Newcombe, came to us and asked us if we would be interested in buying a much less quality brand of car while we were already in the paperwork stage of buying the car we intended to buy. He then started telling us AFTER we were already approved for a loan that we would need a larger down payment or a co-signer, both of which options we casually told him previously were not an option. He started to become really antsy and very rude and when we were all done filling out the paperwork and it came time for us to sign, he told us that we would not be able to have the car. So after us being there for 5 hours, we later found out that at 12 noon, somebody came and was also interested in the car and they sold it to her. They never said anything to us and just let us continue to fill out the paperwork. I explained the situation to a manager and then Robert called me a liar to my face. I never received an apology but once the car was available again Robert was the sweetest, most apologetic man. It turns out, the lady who came and bought the car took it back and now Robert is after us; calling us, emailing is, mailing us, and even calling my MOTHER! It was a horrible experience and I will never go back there.

I had a great experience at Vatland Honda. The dealership is beautiful. Both David and Bill were very helpful with my purchase of a new 2011 Honda Odyssey (which is the coolest van ever). Everyone in the building was pleasant and the sales staff was extremely knowledgeable. No one was pushy and I felt I got a good deal in a timely fashion. This is the first car I've purchased without having to argue with the salesman or wait for hours to agree on pricing. There was also no push to buy extra stuff. All in all it was a great experience.

mechanic avdised window moter was bad and needed repalced and it was possible that the regulator would be found to be bad. Took to another mechanic the next day and he replaced the regulator only. you guys wanded 530.00 to repair and i repaired for 240.00 because it DID NOT NEED A NEW window motor.

The salesman, Bruce Barnett was wonderful, not pushy, easy to talk to, was very informative and polite. He made me feel very much at ease during the entire purchase process. I will highly recommend him to all my friends and family. I also met Lon Mowery, a service advisor, who was very friendly and helpful. I purchased my used 2008 Honda Accord from Rick Fuss on Sept 13, 2010, nice guy, unfortunately he is no longer with Vatland Honda, Chris Smith Used Car Manager, also a nice guy, both worked hard to help me out. Robin Staples in the Finance Dept. made numerous mistakes 1. by selling me a Honda Care Warranty that I feel he knew was not applicable in Europe where I would be moving within 2 years. I was very up front. I found this information out by calling Honda Care because I didn't see anything in their contract stating that the guarantee was good all over the world at any Honda Dealership, I called Vatland and waited 1 week for Robin to confirm that my information was correct, he never called back, I needed to call him, he sent me the paperwork to cancel the warranty, I sent it back the same day. I called one month later, the bank hadn't received the money, I called Honda Care and the warranty had not been canceled, I canceled it directly over the phone and it took 2 weeks to get the money returned to the bank. Mr. Vatland feels this all was a miscommunication.2. I also came in with a Bank of America guaranteed 4.09% for my bank car loan, I was told I would be getting that from the bank Vatland worked with to make it easy, Suntrust, I didn't, I got 4.3%, can't change that now without additional costs to me or a higher loan percentage. Also a miscommunication.3. Robin the Finance Manager also told me that once I received the canceled warranty refund, the balance would be lowered on the loan and we would pay a lower monthly payment. Not true. Mr. Vatland feels that this also has been a miscommunication. I bought a great car, thanks to Rick Fuss, runs fabulous, looks great thanks to Chris Smith. The service department is very nice and efficient. I say stay away from the finance dept. When doing the paperwork Robin Staples made several mistakes. If I hadn't caught the warranty, I would have been out $1540.00 with no recourse. Now I have a higher loan % and a higher monthly payment, thanks to Robin Staples. Unfortunately, Mr. David Vatland Dealership Owner can't do anything to help me without costs to me. This all wouldn't have happened if Robin Staples hadn't sold me a warranty that wasn't applicable to me, then my experience would have been perfect.When having communications with Vatland, they seem to have several email problems, sending an email to them from their site doesn't work, and they somehow don't receive emails that you send. But maybe that is again, miscommunication on my part of course.Everyone is friendly and smiling. But the bottom line is, Are the employee's good at their jobs?? It is very difficult to rate this Dealership, I want people to read my rating, this is do to one person's performance and maybe the owner too for taking the easy road, miscommunication.This started Sept. 13 2010 and it is now Nov 5th. It's now over.Honda's are great cars and this was my experience with Vatland. I have bought 3 new Honda's, this is my 4th and it's used, all have been great cars. This is my only bad car experience, thank God!!

This is a GREAT dealership! One that knows that it's the people they hire that make the sale. In our whole transaction, we never met anyone at Vatland that made us wonder if we were making the right choice. Starting,and continuing, with Thor Rusk, our sales consultant who not only made us feel welcome but continues to make us feel welcome. I wish all dealships could understand that people like to be feel they are welcome at any time, NOT just when buying. Thor has gone out of his way to always make us feel welcome and appreciated - not in only the obvious ways a salesman would do but as a friend. Not only would we have no problem recommending Thor and Vatland to our friends but we know of three vehicles sold by them through our recommendation. And, no, we do not receive a "bird dog" fee for referrals. We do this because we know! It has been a pleasure to deal with Bill Schumacher since my first experience with Vatland Honda. I had never in the past been treated so well by any other sales consultant. He has always been extremely courteous and helpful, and I would just prefer not to deal with anyone else. I'll be honest, if and when he retires, I'm not sure what I'll do. I have also, always been pleased with the service department, I don't think I've ever had any complaints. I plan to have Bill help me at least one more time, to pick out my next CRV. Original reason for visit to Vatland Honda was to compare differences in size between the Civic and Accord. While viewing some late model cars, Jacques Pons came over and explained some of the differences between the Civic and Accord and invited us to take one of the Accords for a ride. Already owning a Honda Odessey we were equally impressed with Accord. Upon returning we made the decision to purchase it. Mr Pons made a fair offer for the car we were trading and contributed to the timely preparation of all documents for the sale. Robin Staples was also a pleasure to work with. A good explanation of the documents we were signing and a suggestion that we consider an extended warranty was very helpful in reaching a final decision. Having purchased a number of cars over the past years I found dealing with Vatland Honda a pleasure. No pressure or push just help in making a decision.

I HIGHLY recommend VATLAND HONDA. I purchased a Certified Used Honda--excellent condition, excellent price, excellent car. And my experience with this dealership was just as excellent. Vatland's Internet director, Rick Fuss, was an absolute pleasure to work with, as was their finance manager, Mike Greenwood. I found the car that I was interested in on the Internet. I live 2+ hours from Vatland, but the car in the Internet posting was the exact car that I wanted, and it was the right price. I had searched all over north-central Florida, from Jacksonville to Orlando to Daytona Beach and Deland, and had seen similar vehicles, but nothing that compared in price or milage or certification to the car at Vatland. And the other dealers did not want to budge much on their asking prices. I got the sense that they wanted to sell me a car and work with me, but not on the car that I wanted. I contacted Vatland and got a reply from Rick. He answered my queries, then spoke with me on the phone at length to give me a detailed, inch-by-inch description of the car, and even offered to shoot and email a video of the car, so I would be fully informed about the vehicle. He gave me his cell number to call him on his day off; we talked more. In short, Rick worked with me to get me the car that I wanted, and she is a stunner--as Rick assured me she would be--and I am most happy. I drove the 2+ hours to Vatland--and it was worth it. Rick then put me and the finance manager, Mike Greenwood, together to finish up the details. I had my insurance in order, and he had a good deal on financing for me--lower than what I had been quoted by others--and the deal was finalized lickety-split. Vatland was great. Honesty, integrity, friendliness, value, knowledge of the product--these are what you will get with Vatland. I would gladly drive the 2+ hours again to do business with them in the future. I dealt with this dealership strictly through the internet. My internet sales rep, Rick, was extremely helpful, friendly, and up front in working with me to try and get the best deal possible on a new Honda CR-V EX-L. The internet price was fair and comparable to other local dealers and also measured up fairly well against the dealers down south. My wife and I ended up purchasing a Ford from a different dealership instead of a Honda simply due to the deal we were able to get at the Ford dealership; however, if I am ever in the market again for a Honda I will be emailing Rick first thing.Jason

Our overall experience was excellent. We purchased a used car, and are very happy with it. The only complaint we have is, the car was filthy. It was supposed to be cleaned before we picked it up, but had to wait for it while it was "cleaned". Whomever cleaned the car, did a terrible job. As soon as we arrived back home, we cleaned it ourselves.

Our only gripe is that we are never happy with a dealer who charges a "dealer fee for our business. We have experience with car sales and know that it is not necessary for the dealer to charge this fee unless he is somewhat greedy. We were very pleased with all aspects of the purchase of the car. Our salesman was very nice and personable and made sure we knew our car before we pulled out of the lot. He never presured us but stayed in touch with us periodically. Our salesman was extremely polite and courteous and customer focused. Price was the major disappointment; we overpaid... Our trade-in value fell $500 from, Saturday to Monday (over the weekend when we were making our final purchase decision). We paid $175 more than if we had bought from a dealer Orlando, 90 miles away, based on a written firm quote. This premium was well worth it based on the value of our time and to buy locally where we plan to service our new car. However, the 'new' trade-in value on Monday fell $5000, which was $645 less than AutoTrader.com guaranteed trade-in value which we mentioned to the salesman before writing the deposit check (I should have walked out at that point and I bet they would come after me and honored the AutoTrader.com guaranteed value---my big mistake). The AutoTrader.com value was also guaranteed by two dealerships, one local and one in Orlando. Because of our desire to buy locally, we got a car that sat at the dealership in Orlando for 7 months (which we only found out after we got the car home)-since it was a transferred car it probably is fair that they sent our dealer an older car, I guess anyone of their choosing. When we this to the attention of our salesperson at the local dealership where we purchased the car, they gave us a $25 service credit--a major disappointment (they don't seem so concerned about customer satisfaction after the sale, despite us receiving lots of letters from the dealership that came in the mail afterward promising complete customer satisfaction). While the local dealership seems like a very nice place to service our Civic EX-L, we look back and regret overpaying $475 just because of the drop in trade value over the weekend. In summary, the salesperson was extremely polite and courteous, but we should have gotten the originally promised and guaranteed $8,300 trade-in value for our 2007 Hyundai Sonata Limited with moonroof/sunroof and multi-MP3/CD (in clean/very good condition)--we only got $7,800. If you think our trade-in concern is unfounded checkout KBB, edmunds.com, or AutoTrader.com and check for yourself. I knew going in I should have concentrated on ALL of the following: the new car price after all discounts and incentives, the trade-in value, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the final 'out the door price.So in summary,1. The premium for buying local was only $170 and was well worth the value of our time and for buying at the local dealership where we will likely service our car.2. Our only real complaint is the drop in our trade-in value from Saturday to Monday of $500. Since they gave us a $25 service credit, the net difference is $475. It's my fault for not being firm on this point, but in the end, it was my fault. $475 is not a lot of money for most people, but the principle of changing a written trade-in value in 48 hours is quite unfair.4. We asked the dealer for an additional service credit to make us whole or a lesser amount to at least acknowledge the change in trade-in value might not have been the best thing to do. They have said as of today that they stick to their deal and that there are no BEST prices, only fair and unfair deals. They said we got a FAIR deal. If they had honored the original written trade-in value, I'd say we got a very good deal, but the the salesman's attitude can be summed up in this actual quote from an email I just received from him, "Really wish I never sold you the car. Some people are just never happy." That's a really sad comment. I've never stated anything that was not factual.

I wouldn"t go as far as not to recommend Vatland Honda but I have to say that I was greatly disappointed that my windows were not trinted and Vatland did not offer to do it as a courtesy. I have two friends that recently bought a new Toyota and a new Ford and both dealers tinted their windows. I couldn"t lie and say that Honda tinted mine. They were very surprised and I was a little embarrassed!!

This sales team was very professional and courteous. I was looking for a used, low mileage, good condition car for a decent price, due to the fact that my previous car was no longer useable. I researched cars through Vero Beach and the state of Florida via the internet and found that Vatland afforded the best prices for their vehicles. When I called to do preliminary research I found them to be very friendly and helpful as opposed to other dealerships that seemed too busy and rude. I test drove the car the following day and within 24 hours made my decision to buy. Through the entire buying process Mr. Fuss was easy going and helped me through the financial paper work. Over all, this dealership provided excellent customer service and follow up after purchase. I recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to buy new or used cars.

My experience with Vatland Honda was above my expectations, they went above and beyond to make sure that I left the dealer with a car, I never thought a sales men could care so much and be as patient as Rick Fuss was with me. I'm at a lost of words for the quality of service that I was given, truthfully I wouldn't recommend any other dealer but this Honda dealer because I remember the great experience that I had there. We pre-arranged to come to the dealership to look at a car I had seen on the internet. When we got there Rick greeted us and the car was all set-up and clean ready for a test drive. It was a certified used Honda so that was a plus. The negotiation was handled on a professional basis and we came to a deal. The follow up by both our salesperson (Rick) and the service staff have been has been great and we look forward to having any upcomming work donen at the dealership.

My sales rep was wonderful. He was not aggressive but showed me all the possibilities and options and let me make my decision. I had to come back to put a front plate on and the service department and sales rep were very accommodating. I was able to do it all on my lunch hour which is very convenient.

Rick was great...I felt he was looking out for me. My negatives? Two weeks later I returned to get new wipers and had to pay. This was a 'certified' used car. Not sure about that one. Rest of the experience was fine. I would return and recommend the dealership and Rick.
