The sales people Dane & Jason made me feel like I was one of their friends,they made my purchase an easy, pleasant and rewarding as possible and I didn't have to spend all day waiting, and this is very important to me. Dane took the time to show me all the features of my new car and made sure I was comfortable with how they worked and for this I am forever grateful, and Jason made the paperwork process very informative and answered all my questions! I LOVE MY BEETLE!!!!! THANKS VOLKSWAGEN OF ATHENS!

I traveled over 200 miles to buy my VW Jetta from VW of Athens. After visiting dealerships and researching VW's in my area, I became frustrated, aggravated and discouraged. The "deals" I was being offered were advantageous to the dealership - not to me. Ready to just keep the car I had, I found an ad for VW of Athens on Auto Trader. I sent an email to them and someone call me within 15 minutes. I went to Athens that day and bought my car. It was well worth the trip. Great experience. Great price. Dane was helpful and informative - not pushy. I would highly recomment visiting VW of Athens in order to save yourself a lot of time and money.

I just purchased a 2013 Jetta TDI from the dealership. The customer service from my salesman (Dane) and up the chain was pleasant. When I first got on the lot the experience was good and we understood what I was needing my payment to be at without any ridiculous sales tactics like an most dealerships. Everyone at Athens VW seemed very experienced and knew the products, which again is hard to find when car shopping. Dane, Mack and Jason were also VW enthusiasts to different extents, which is nice since that's who they work for. I was actually going to get a 2.5 Jetta (awesome sounding motor), but I got offered the TDI off the showroom floor for the same price.... so went with the diesel. :) I would highly suggest if your going to purchase a VW go to Athens. I've been to metro atl dealers with a previous VW I owned, and Gunther.... I can tell you the treatment and deal you will get at Athens is far superior.

The service department was extremly professional. I requested a detailed quote of what the service would cost & cover and it actually ended up being less than I expected because they found that a few of the recommended items had been done in the previous 2 years. I received multiple updates while mycar was being worked on. Great experience overall.

My car (2010 VW Golf TDI) had a glow plug indicator flashing and there was a 50% loss of power. I took it to the dealership and they ran diagnostics for 3 hours trying to find the problem. They determined it was a bad wiring harness. Cost $1412. I picked the car up. The next day I had a glow plug indicator flashing and a 50% loss of power. They ran diagnostics and determined it was a faulty turbocharger diaphram. The estimate was $840 (they "fixed" it at no charge). They said they would like the mechanic to drive it home to test it. The mechanic drove it home and the glow plug indicator came on and there was a 50% loss of power. They ran diagnostics and determined there was soot buildup in the exhaust system. It would need new exhaust system. Cost $1464. They said they had done all the good will work they could and if I needed assistance I would need to call VW Customer Care. I called Customer Care (not) and all they did was call the dealership and asked them if they thought my case warranted assistance. Of course they said no; all the parts so far needed to be replaced. I'm not sure where and how this will end, but I feel like they don't know what they are doing. I have all the diagnostics printed out and the old wiring harness. I'm thinking I should get a second opinion.

Worst customer service I have ever seen. Have to call multiple times to get someone to answer. Never called me back on multiple occasions. Had to keep my car overnight, on two different occasions, when they said they wouldn't have to. Overcharged. Had to bring my car back a second time because the problem wasn't even fixed when I left the lot.

This Dealership do not do their job ! :/ I got my car serviced less than 2 weeks ago ( I got a full inspection and a 4wheel alignment totaling $220) and 11 days later my back tires were messed up in the inside. How can that happen if I just "got an alignment?" I took my car to another shop and found out my axle is bent! again How can this happen if i got a full inspection on my car? so I took my car back up to Volkswagen of Athens August 8, 2012 to get my car inspected since it didn't get done the 1st time hoping people actually came to work to do their job but that was not the case :( Today my car over heated! I took it to another shop and they said the fan isn't working and i have blown fuses. I am so over Volkswagen and it is said to say people do not believe in customer service anymore! Not to mention I waited in the lobby for hours and my car was finished being serviced and no one let me know until I asked.

This dealership's service department will lie to you over and over again! I've never dealt with a more dishonest place of business. BEWARE! They will rip you off before you can blink! 400% or more markup on parts, misdiagnoses the problem just to unnecessarily replace expensive parts, you name it! Do your homework...don't take their word on ANYTHING! They burned me once but never again. They need to STOP the financial abuse of their customers who don't know any better! Their practices should be deemed ILLEGAL and the entire operation should be shut down immediately! Diana in the service department must be paid on commission. She quoted me a price of $800 for a throttle body for my car (just the part alone, not labor). I found the part elsewhere for $300. The official VW Parts website sells it for $500. I feel sorry for the people who feel as if they have no other choice and fall victim to their cruel and unethical practices.
