By far one of the best service experiences that I have ever had. I live in Middletown therefore going to Danbury is completely out of my way but since I had a terrible experience with Gengras Volvo and will NEVER go back there I decided to give Danbury Volvo a shot. The moment I got there they greeted me with a smile and let me know everything they were going to do. When they were finished they called me and when I arrived to pick up my car it was cleaned and ready to go. They once again explained everything that they completed. Melanie was awesome and I can say this with certainty because I am in the business and I know the difference between good service and bad and their service was TREMENDOUS. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for service. It may be out of the way but sometimes great service may not be convenient but it was always be great and that is what Volvo of Danbury is.

My wife and I were looking to purchase a used CPO Volvo sedan over the past months. We were upfront with dealers with what we were looking for and checking the condition of the cars. We wanted a car that was clean, well maintained, no accidents, as few dents and scratches as possible, and no paintwork. Given that we were driving some hours, we needed a Volvo dealer that had good honesty, integrity and attention to detailto give us an honest assessment of a car before we made the time commitment to drive. We had two failed lengthy trips and terrible experiences at Volvo dealers in southern New Hampshire and eastern New York. In these cases, the cars were not represented honestly where in one case the car had extensive paintwork which checking with Volvo corporate dealers can pretty much do whatever they want as long as the Carfax shows no accidents. In the other case, we had walk arounds by two salespeople and several large/obvious 3-4 scratches/dents were not disclosed, never mind total lack of detailing prep. We were growing tired and skeptical to say the least.The situation turned very positive with our last experience with finding Danbury Volvo and the saleswoman Mabel Peralta and sales manager Gabe Levy. We were upfront about our past experiences and asked for accurate reporting of the condition, which is exactly what was provided. The team provided a walk-around video for us to review in addition to detailed pictures of any dents, scratches or imperfections. Gabe also gave a very detailed and honest understanding of what specific work was done on the car. We were very pleased that upon delivery there were NO unexpected surprises and the car was very well prepared. It is very hard to find these qualities even with brand dealers these days. The car passed our independent shops inspection after purchase and matching our expectations. The team even took extra steps to help us with some delivery logistics. Mabel was very helpful and pleasant to engage while Gabe was very professional and businesslike. Quite honestly, this professionalism was exactly what we needed as our previous interactions with sales managers felt disreputable, shady and pressured.We are detailed and finicky customers but we would absolutely reach out to purchase our next cars from Mabel and Gabe again given their attention detail and integrity through our car buying experience. Thanks again to the reputable team at Danbury Volvo!

The dealership was decent during the sales process. I bought a 2013 S60, and was sold a $3400 prepaid maintenance package. We hadn't yet used the maintenance plan, when just 6 months later, my car was involved in an accident and declared a total loss. I contacted the dealership and requested they process a refund of the prepaid maintenance package, and I expressed interest in purchasing another car from them. To date, I still haven't been contacted by a salesperson, which mystifies me. It took 4 weeks for them to tell me that I would receive a refund, but that it would be $1200 less than the original purchase package $3400 price tag. Buyer beware! It has taken a total of 11 weeks of many many phone calls and emails, and involvement of Volvo's customer care team, to receive my refund. Not a bad place to purchase, but just be aware that post-sale support does not seem to be a priority for this dealership.

My check engine light came on and my bluetooth was not working. I brought my volvo in to get these 2 problems solved. I was told my pcv valve was clogged and software was needed to be updated for the bluetooth. I went up at the end of the day when I was told the car was ready, paid and when I got in the car both the check engine light was still on and the bluetooth still didn't work! I left it for another day and then was told the fuel pressure sensor needed to be fixed. Customer service offered to bring the car back to me at the end of that day. When the car was returned my gas tank was on empty (when I had left it with about 1/3 tank of gas) and the blue tooth still was not working! They told me the problem was with my iphone (when I had already had the phone checked) but I was charged for the bluetooth. I also had to go directly to the closest gas station to get gas immediately! I found their service to be sloppy, not thorough and very unprofessional. We will not be going to Volvo of Danbury again!

Had my car serviced at Danbury Volvo this past week. Mike ( service writer) went above a beyond as usual. The service department lead by Melanie is top knotch, I wouldn't go anywhere else! Technician (also Mike ) prior to working on my car went out for a test drive with me. He was spectacular in troubleshooting a sound. Car is amazing!!! My dashboard went black & the windows wouldn't close. The SRS airbag warning came on. I took it to Danbury Volvo, the diagnosed the problem on the scanner machine as the electronic module. $1700 to replace. The keyboard was reset & still various messages were appearing, days later the check engine light, car taken in again. Diagnosis: catalytic convertor $2300 to replace, same problem last year, Danbury Volvo accomodated me expeditiously, on short notice. I was distraught & they calmed my fears, both John (so compassionate & Melanie (manager) are so wonderful. The problems were diagnosed & now I've decided to buy a new car... a Volvo. Because I love them & love working with the staff at Danbury Volvo.

1. I recently had an issue with the power steering, Melanie promptly and graciously offered me the use of a loaner right off the bat! ... I'll always remember that, and thank you Melanie. 2. In addition, I brought in our beloved '08 xc70 for a servicing and was very pleased with the level of service and for pointing out the warning signs for potential mechanical problems. Mike Cerone's communicating and advising skills are greatly appreciated by someone who has owed several Volvos. Mike is a great guy and super knowledgable. 3. I had the good experience of being advised by Jon who was very direct and straight forward. I especially liked how he patiently answered my many questions and got back back to me after conferring the technician in detail.

My most recent experiences at Danbury Volvo are probably the best to share. Although my 12+ years as a customer have consistently been as a very staffed customer. Having expereinced a major accident late last year I can tell you first hand that their collision dept. will do all they can for you. My goal was to get my car back-- not to have it totaled. It was a close call-- through careful sourcing & unbeleiveble patience, Shannon & her team returned my beloved station wagon to me. It was like new-- beautifully restored.The service team is equally awesome too-- John, Melanie, Dan, Mike are wonderfully courteous, caring, friendly and constantly go over and above the call of customer service duty. I'm truly greatful all these folks are there at the ready, whenever our family's aging "fleet" of cherished Volvos need a shot in the arm to keep on trucking!!!

I was having a problem wit with my battery... I called and was told I could come in immediately. My car was vandalized and found I needed a new battery which was under warranty period everyone was gracious and most accommodating :-) I also needed to have a AWD computer program updated as per Volvo's request and they did so at the same time to make my life easier. Brought my '08 XC70 in this week for an oil change and was warmly greeted by Mike C. Mike reviewed the repair history, listened carefully and noted the unusual mechanical noises and offered possible and/or probable causes. His knowledgable, courteous, and professional manner was greatly appreciated given the age of the vehicle. I was even further impressed when he invited me into the shop to witness the worn out parts firsthand along side the technician who was very professional as well. This is the second time I have worked with Volvo of Danbury. I found their helpfulness, kindness and professionalism to be outstanding. Both times, they helped me find the exact car I needed that fit my family and my budget the best. I choose Volvo for safety, but I am a pragmatic shopper therefore I choose the basic models. Volvo of Danbury still treated me like a VIP customer and I can tell they treat all customers like this. I always feel I can trust them and I know they will take care of every detail for me in the transaction. I typically would not rate a dealership, but with the recent experience I had, when buying a 2012 certified used Volvo XC70, it needed to be recognized. -I sent and email inquiry after hours on a weekend, it was responded to by an actual salesperson , almost immediately.-The price they were asking was already competitive, after my first meeting with them and their review of my trade, they sharpened their pencils still more.-They advised me that I could pick up the car that evening, even with an outstanding loan on it and a new one to be created.-Stephanie in sales, and the finance manager were professional and efficient.Overall, amazing experience, much better than the many other Volvo dealers my family has worked with for the past 20 year!

Recently called Volvo of Danbury late afternoon on a Friday regarding a gas smell from my 2004 Volvo XC70. I spoke with Jon Cooper. After asking me a few questions, he suggested it might be the fuel pump. Since I didn't want to worry about the cost of the repair all weekend, at my request Jon provided me with an estimate. He was also able to fit me in for servicing first thing Monday morning. It was indeed the fuel pump! I was impressed when Jon took the time to ask me a questions to help diagnose the issue on Friday when I first called ... and even more so when we discovered he was correct. I've had every servicing done on this car (now 176K+ miles) at this dealership, and they just keep getting better and better! Great job, Jon and the rest of the staff including Mike Cerone who has also helped me many times in the past!

Excellent service. We had an appointment and had planned to drop the car off in the evening. It began to snow and my wife was concerned about driving with the kids. Mike offered to have someone give me a ride home in the snow! Unfortunately the vehicle needed a second day to complete unforeseen repairs. I was concerned that we would be stuck at home a second day. Once again Mike came to the rescue and was able to find us a loaner so we could stay on top of our busy schedules. All the while he was courteous, patient and explained all the work that was to be performed and answered all of my questions.

I dropped my car off on a Sunday without any appointment scheduled due to an unexpected issue. Mike was able to get my diagnosed and set up a rental car (all loaners were out) Monday. No dealer had the parts necessary but they were delivered Tuesday and then I was picked up from my home Tuesday and brought to the dealership so I could tally up. Mike was very informative and helpful the whole time. He kept me in the loop and is always super nice. Someone even played with my toddler while I signed paperwork! Love this service department!

I literally stopped by with no appointment to ask for help with a code my local garage couldn't get specific information on. Without hesitation I was met with a "yes" and was directed to a comfortable waiting area. After a very short wait a technician sat down next to me to explain the problem, which was thankfully under warranty. The car could be fixed on the spot if I was willing to wait the 1.5 hours needed to do the job. I don't live that close to the dealership and I had the day off from work, so waiting was a fine option. Some 20 min later the same tech, Jon came back to say the part they had was defective and they would need more time to get it and install it. I was offered a "loaner" with no prompting from me and was told I could come back at day's end to pick up my car. Considering I had no appointment and I am not a regular customer (due to distance), the high level of service was unexpected and most appreciated.

I had a "check stop light warning" on my dashboard and stopped into the dealership without a scheduled appointment and was taken immediately by Mike. He handled the situation with his usual humor, good will and professionalism. The problem was fixed. If it is possible to say, I find it a pleasure to have Mike and the service team at Danbury Volvo take care of me and my car. After filling out the forms for repair, Mike asked if it would be alright to throw in a car wash! And to top it all off, the service personnel have great counter candy! In my 76 years, I have owned many cars but I have never before, enjoyed going in for service.

Excellent service center. I've been going for several years and have always had excellent service. Recently I had a problem with the starter (car has over 130,000 miles, so the starter was beginning to wear out). Since the servicing was going to take several hours, John managed to find a loaner car for me on short notice. Most recently I had the tires replaced, and John and the service department took care of it quickly. I have trust in the people and the work and I highly recommend Volvo of Danbury service center.

Original battery finally died after 100,000 good miles. Got a jump, called in (John) for same day service, showed up 45 minutes later. They tested the electrical components, replaced the battery and had me back on the road in an hour.

We leased a 2015 S60from him a year and a half ago and just came home with our second car, a new 2016 XC60 platinum model. I visited the dealer once to test drive and then went on vacation for a week. I did the communication via email with Jacob and confirmed the trade in and price all through emails. We agreed on the price and I was in and out within 1 hour during my second visit. If you want to go to the local Circus but can't find one go visit these guys.Managed to mess up the insurance once and then the registration twice . Sales mans excuse was that he doesn't read paperwork or emails.The finance guys excuse was that he forgot to tell my wife and daughter all the numbers.The maintenance manager was the only one that was okay and kept appologizing for all the others.Will never buy from them again and suggest you look elsewhere .

I purchased a used vehicle here and went only based on cost. They gave me a very difficult time fixing a dent in the car that was promised to be fixed. They tried to switch their words after the car was purchased but the manager had written on the purchase agreement that the debt was to be fixed; it was only when I went back to pick up the can and show them the bill of sale they signed and told them I would have my attorney contact them that they decided to fix the dent ($1800 quote to fix per. Volvo of Danbury). When I picked up the vehicle you could tell whoever fixed it didn't know how to line the body up with the bumper and its obvious it was repaired on that corner panel. Very choppy work. I would not recommend and I doubt after the games I will ever return for another vehicle.

They discovered an additional piece of work that needed to be done and I still got out in a reasonable amount of time. at 179k miles took car in for oil leak they replaced cam seals and timing belt ($1100) still leaked. went back 1500 miles later with the same leak and they informed me we needed a new head gasket ($2700) and was not worth fixing. the car had 181k miles. took to a private Volvo specialist and they replaced the cam seals ($400) no leaks 200K miles

It took 12 years to build my trust and loyalty towards Danbury Volvo and 3 Volvo's later, yet only 5 minutes to lose my trust and faith!! After my 50K service, Rob Lollie, Danbury Service Manager told me that my 60K would be complimentary due to my being charged erroneously in the past and because I am a "good and long standing customer." Rob told me that I would be "unable to take my car without paying my bill", but that, "I can take a loaner and go home to check my notes." I have paid ALL my bills in the past! That is the trust and loyalty I get from Danbury Volvo. Rob Lollie has conveniently forgotten his words. Goodbye Volvo!!!

My car was towed in on a Tuesday. I received a call from Rob on Tuesday around 430 and he informed me that they hadn't looked at the car but would on Wednesday and I would have my car back. I joked about snow coming on Wednesday and he assured me that Volvo would only close if a blizzard hit. On Wednesday no one had contacted me so I reached out to Volvo. That's when I was informed that my car wouldn't be looked at. I had to speak with Rob who said ok they will take a look at it. Got a call that I needed a new battery for $356.00. Ridiculous. My husband ran out in the snow and bought a battery for $100.00. At the end of the day I was notified that I wouldn't be getting my car back till Friday so now I went out in the snow to rent a car. On Thursday at 5:20 pm I received a message that my car was ready but they close at 5:30. I would be able to pick up my car with the sales department. When I got in the car the low tire pressure light was on. I spoke with Carly who informed me yo drive the car a couple of miles and the light will go off. When now its Monday and the light keeps going on and off. All I am told is to fill the tire with air. My light was not on before my visit and my tires are only a month old. Thanks Volvo for charging an arm and a leg and messing up my tires. I really need to go to MK Volvo instead.

I purchased my S60 from Volvo of Danbury and had such a great experience- they really know thier stuff - Ken and Tucker were warm, friendly and accomodating to my crazy schedule. I am not your typical buyer - I am in the sales business, so a bit jaded! Well, they blew me away with thier customer service! I have sent family members and friends to them who had an equally fantastic experience. I was recently in for my first service and Mike Cerone in service was outstanding - this dealership has it's focus on customer service and the employees really seem to love thier jobs and it shows. I had a tail light burn out and when I called to get it fixed, they were extremely friendly and helpful. They offered to fix it that very day. When I arrived at the service center I was politely greeted and the service was prompt. During my brief wait I enjoyed a cup of coffee in the waiting area which was very clean and the service manager was available to answer my questions. The defective bulb was replaced free of charge and I was on my way!

We have had our 3rd XC70 serviced at Volvo of Danbury for many years; they know the cars superbly well and are pretty accurate in diagnosing issues and resolving them. The past few times we have had scheduled service, there were residual issues after my wife picked up the car. Mike Cerone and Mike Desanzo are top notch customer service folks - they immediately tended to the issue and resolved it while offering a free loaner and pick-up / drop off service of our car. We will continue to take out Volvos there no doubt.

Mike Cerone is the best service rep I've ever worked with. If you ever lose Mike, you lose me and I'll go back to buying Mercedes.I have two complaints:1. I've bought three Volvo's from this dealership combo, for over $120,000 in total, in the last 12 years. I've taken each of them for every servicing to you. Never bounced a check. But when I came in earlier this week, for a $63.28 service charge, I still had to show my driver's license when I wrote a check. THAT'S ABSURD!!! Not Mike's fault, obviously - he was a little embarrassed - but dealership management might want to take a harder look at the way it treats it repeat customers, if it want's them to "repeat."2 - This is the third time I've tried to write a "review" using this website. The last two times, as iT did today, it let me write the review, then asked me to "log in," which I did. It then went back to the beginning and made me write it over. The last two times I got frustrated and just quit. This time I stuck it out and did it. Either get this site reprogrammed to be more "user friendly'" or stop using it!

As soon as we stepped into the dealership, Kevin was very warm, welcoming and engaging. He seemed genuinely interested in our lifestyle as a whole; not just as it pertained to buying a new car. Moreover, he was a veritable treasure trove of information about Volvos from the most obvious tidbits, all the way down to the most miniscule minutiae. He was very honest and open with as about the (very few) "cons" about Volvo ownership, in addition to all the "pros". The pricing he presented us with was very fair, and he explained the methodology behind the very transparent and clear pricing with great care, patience and in great detail as well. No question was "too stupid" or "too blunt" here was a man who not only had seemingly boundless knowledge about the high quality product he was selling, but an authentic belief in its quality, integrity and pedigree as well. Overall, Mr. Kilroy was a pleasure to deal with, I would not hesitate one bit to recommend him (and already have) to my friends, co-workers and colleagues presently and into the future. I felt very comfortable from the moment I walkedin the service door, being immediately greeted with a 'good morning' by Mike. After we discussed the reason for my visit, mike offered me coffee and suggested I sit in the waiting area. Mike checked in with me a couple of times during my wait and when my car was service was complete, he sat across from me and explained everything that was done. We purchased our used 2007 Volvo XC70 from Danbury Volvo. The sales and service are exceptional. As our vehile approached 135K we have found the service to be excellent due to the excellent staff and service professionals. It also helps that they have loaners. My only message is to the Volvo PRESIDENT and HEAD DESIGN TEAM. If you want to keep selling cars you need to make them ALOT MORE FUEL EFFICIENT! My next CAR may not/at this time WILL NOT be a volvo unless we SEE MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS IN PARTS COSTS AND FUEL EFFIECIENCY. Also, get your ENGINEERS TO DESIGN A CAR WITH NO MORE BLIND SPOTS - instead of ridiculuos 1300.00 sensors on SIDE MIRRORS. Do the Volvo Brand a favor and get your TEAM ON IT. Had a rear brake issue with my certified s80. I needed to have my car fixed right away on a Monday morning - no appointment. I expected to be put off or told to come back Wednesday, and I did not want to risk driving it. Rob, my serivce writer was great. This visit to Volvo of Danbury was for the scheduled 120,000 mile service on my 2004 XC70. This is an extensive service visit and the technician found additional items that needed work. Mike Cerone let me know what was covered on the 120,000 mile service on my prior scheduled service visit and the additional items found were either already known by me or expected (normal wear). Everything was explained completely by Rob Lollie or Mike Cerone, as always.I bought my Volvo at Volvo of Danbury and have used their service department for my cars scheduled maintenance since new. I've known Mike Cerone for years. He knows me and more importantly my car. Mike, Rob and Mike DeSanzo (the Serv Dept Mgr) provide exceptional customer service.My Volvo (with 120,000 miles) runs like new car. Part of that is because "its a Volvo" and the other part because of the service I receive at Volvo of Danbury.

They got me in, and Mike Cerone calmed me down,( a usually difficult task), and within one hour my car was ready, and completely fixed under warranty, allowing me to attend to some important prescheduled matters, without being totally thrown off schedule. These guys are dishonest I will only have them do warranty related service . Anything else is likely to be both overpriced and even unnecessary. In short, they tried to sell me $1400 of service that was not required. They details are below:After taking our car in for scheduled maintenance we were told that our front brakes were at 1mm (out of 10mm) and needed new pads & rotors ($729) and rear pads ($220) as well. In addition Mike Desanzo said we needed a transmission flush for $345. I had Firestone service (2 miles away) give me an estimate for the transmission flush that came to $150. However, Firestone said it was unnecessary (as it would be part of a regular service in 5k miles) and that our front brakes measured 6mm so no service was yet required on them or the rear brakes. The moral of the story is: go to Firestone to get better prices and honest feedback on the status of your car.

Volvo of Danbury has been servicing our Volvos since 1998. They have a lot of experience with these cars, both brand new and high-mileage vehicles. We have had no issues scheduling routine service. I am out of town quite a bit and it is comforting to know that if my family has an emergency with one of our Volvos, they can take the car in and usually get it fixed in the same day. If not, there is usually a loaner available or they will make arrangements for a rental car. They do quality work, but if there is a problem they will make it right. As a long term customer, we have gotten to know the service advisors, especially Mike Cerone, the service manager, Mike DeSanzo, and some of the technicians very well. They are great people who care about customer satisfaction. We would recommend Volvo to anyone who wants a premium automobile and Volvo of Danbury if you want the premium customer care that should go along with it.

I actually travel 55 miles to go to this dealership when I could go to another Volvo dealership that is 20 miles from my home. I have purchased two cars from them and will continue to do so. They are the first dealership I have dealt with that does not forget about you once you sign on the dotted line. I was shopping for a new volvo s60 t5 over the internet / phone as I just had surgery and was unable to leave my house. My contact with Volvo of Danbury started with filling out the request for quote form on their website. My inquiry was quickly followed up with a return email that which began the sales process. From the first phone call up until the time I actually made it to the showroom to pick up the car my salesman, Horace Earle was outstanding. Despite conducting business over the phone, Horace did not once give me the standard "hard sell" and treated me as a person, not just a voice on the other end of the phone. In fact we went back and forth a number of times on different models, options, pricing scenarios, etc. I was frankly amazed when he returned quotes for me that were below what I had originally asked for just to ensure I understand all the pricing / feature options, from low to high. (note, this I still went with my original option which was the mid tier option). it should be noted, I was also looking at Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and a Subaru. In each of these cases, the salesmen on the phone pressured me to come in despite me informing them of my inabilty otherwise, were inflexible with pricing and options, and gave me the standard "we really prefer to talk in person" or "the cars are moving, so you must come in soon...."Overall, my experience was stellar - the best of my car buying experience to date! The sales process was conducted with honesty and I never once felt I was being taken advantage of. In fact it was so positive, I am now considering upgrading our 09 Sienna for an XC90. Kudos to Horace and Volvo of Danbury. You certainly earned my loyality.....

We have two Volvo's in our family. We have used Volvo of Danbury exclusively for both purchase and service since moving into the Danbury area 7 years ago. Our experience has been nothing short of excellent in every respect.Our sales representative, Kevin actually made buying a car a pleasant experience. There was not even a hint of gamesmanship or high pressure sales tactics during the negotiation and the ultimate price was very fair.The service department at Volvo of Danbury is also deserving of praise. All routine services, as well as repairs on our 1993 Volvo, have been performed expertly, timely and professionally. The service manager, Mike is always able to accommodate my busy schedule and has been great at providing me with a loaner vehicle when needed. I would also add that in my experience the service department has excelled at making the diagnosis and repair the first time without the need for a return visit or second opinion.Overall, my experience with Volvo vehicles and this dealership in particular could not be better. I picked up a 2012 Volvo XC70 Turbo today, and thought it would be helpful to others to relate my experience. The purchase of a new car is usually stressful in nature. Many dealerships engage in practices that cast them in a negative stereotype. To complete a transaction that was completely devoid of those characteristics was a tremendous help. The specifics are as follows: The car was a special order. During the waiting period I drove my trade-in vehicle without mileage stipulations. I had to postpone the pick-up after the scheduled delivery time. Upon picking up the car, no attempt was made to alter the deal in any way, nor were any previously agreed upon numbers changed. Everything went as smoothly as one could want, and they even issued me a check due to an overpayment for the registration. This is a true story.
