We had an amazing experience. Jacques was awesome. I had to bring my 3yo with me to test drive and he was very accommodating. He explained things thoroughly. He has also followed up a few times since purchase! Highly recommend Volvo Memphis and Jacques.

Definitely not up to the level of service normally provided by Volvo of Memphis. Initially brought the car in for an air conditioning issue; not blowing cold air. The initial diagnosis was the condenser unit which necessitated the removal of the dashboard to remove and replace it. After a week (five days) in the shop and a windshield repair, got the call out car was finally ready. Picked up the car and on the way home, realized it was not blowing cold air AT ALL! Called the dealership when we arrived home on a Friday evening and expressed our frustrations. Brought the car back in the following Monday: new diagnosis was a couple O-rings which required ordering. Part came in Wednesday, but did not solve the problem and was told it was now the compressor that has failed internally. Said it would be ready Thursday. Nothing heard since Wednesday. 13 days and counting with little communication in the last five days. Just about every experience up this point has been five star service. Despite our frustrations, Sean and the crew at Volvo of Memphis continued a professional and dedicated effort to make this situation right. This review is updated to reflect that effort. Thanks for addressing our concerns.

Buying a car has never been easier than it was with Mr. James Rodgers. He is one of the best salesmen I’ve ever dealt with. Jacques another Volvo associate took a large part out of his day on a Friday to give me a tutorial on how to use all of the infotainment my Volvo has to offer, and he did it just out of the kindness of his heart because he is so passionate about what he does and the product he sells. Everyone I encountered at this dealership was super nice and professional. I would definitely recommend doing business with this dealership if you’re looking for a Volvo.

Very good experience overall. The people I interacted with at the service center were curious and helpful. They took care of recall notices that I had not known about (got the letter a week after) which is excellent and a time saver. The only thing that I think could have been better was to notify me up front that they had those services to perform and estimate my wait. Like I said, overall a very good experience.

I purchased my used Volvo XC70 over the internet with the assistance of salesman Keith Dooley. The vehicle arrived at my doorstep and was everything Mr. Dooley represented it to be. The dealership was wonderful, and made everything about my buying experience a pleasure. I highly recommend them, even if you are buying long distance!

Trey, Boyd, Tom, and Ben were all absolutely great throughout the entire buying process. They went above and beyond to make sure I could purchase the vehicle I wanted and my wife and I are very appreciative of everything they did to make this happen. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another vehicle new or used from Volvo of Memphis and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They're not just out to make a sale and it shows.

I went to have a window replaced on my 2002 V70. I notice the special sale flyer and decided to check it out. Chandler Duffel, a newbie, was my sales person and he was not pushy at all. Any question I had that he couldn't answer, he found the answer for me. I felt comfortable with him. Eric Gibbs, my service specialist, also helped me feel comfortable in making my decision. My 2002 V70 was purchased from this dealership when it was Pat Patterson and has 560,000 miles.

This was an awesome buying experience for our family! Our salesman was Zach Young and instantly he made you feel as if you had known him forever! I recently purchased a used 2013 S60 at Volvo of Memphis and had a fantastic experience. They were extremely helpful and found the perfect car for me. I was very pleased with how easy they made the purchase process was. I've heard many a horror story about what this might be like and didn't experience anything close to it. It was fast and easy. I will definitely start here the next time I'm on the market.

I took my mothers 2013 XC90 for regular maintenance but she also needed her spare tire remounted which was done and she also requested for her luggage racks to be removed. I dropped her vehicle off at 9:15am and it wasnt until I called at 2pm to inquire about the time that I could pick the car up which I was told by Derek that it wouldnt be ready until 6pm. While speaking to Derek I was advised they werent able to remove the racks without a tool thats usually in the vehicle, but since the vehicle was a preowned vehicle the tool wasnt able to be located. I asked Derek if the service dept had the tool on site he advised they did but they couldnt locate it. I then asked would the dealership be able to get the proper tool at a later date, after putting me on hold to ask I was told that they wouldnt be able to obtain this tool. Which I dont understand how a dealership isnt able to remove items from vehicles they sell. The only answer that Derek could prove was that they tried to use another tool but it didnt work or I could go to HOME DEPOT to get a tool that might work... I might add as Derek was telling me to go to Home Depot two other employees didnt offer any assistance to resolve this issue I would hope that this isnt Volvo treats their other customers.

We have purchased two vehicles from Volvo of Memphis. When we purchased the used V70, we noticed a slight chirping coming from the engine compartment. Keith Dooley assured us that the source of the sound would be identified and the problem corrected. The timing belt and idler pulley replaced at no charge as promised. A year later we stopped by the dealership to look at the new models. Brent Wright helped us define the type of car that we would be happy with, and let the cars sell themselves. We left the dealers sold on the S60. Several days later, we located that car that we wanted online. Because of our previous purchase experience with Keith, we gave him call to make an offer on the S60. Keith was able to work with Brent, and quickly close the sale over the phone. We have returned to the dealership for 10K and 20K maintenance, and the Service Department is just as efficient and pleasant to work with as Keith and Brent. Volvo of Memphis has been attentive to all of our needs. We will continue to use Volvo of Memphis for all of our vehicle purchases and maintenance.

The customer care service that I received from Keith Doodley and all the staff at Volvo of Memphis made my car purchasing very comfortable in a beautiful setting, smoother process compared to other dealers I've dealt with in the past. All were very friendly and so helpful I didn't feel pressed at any time they offered refreshments too :)

I am not a typical Volvo customer. I came to Volvo for a car based on an experience several years ago while serving in the Middle East where a pair of Volvo diesel engines saved my life. Since then I always had it in my mind I owed Volvo at least one car purchase. I was driving a beater with a heater that just wouldn't die. I was recommended to Keith Dooley at Volvo of Memphis as an ethical, stand-up kind of car salesman who would be worth my time to establish a customer relationship with. My wife and I went to the dealership, met Keith, looked at some cars, and discussed my desire to get all I could out of my current vehicle before buying another car. My car just wouldn't die. I kept driving it another year and a half, and Keith would e-mail me now and then to touch base. When the car finally tipped the scale of repair bills, I contacted Keith like I promised and he sold us a S60. The car is great and all but what is notable and what I value is the sales/customer relationship with Keith. He knew what I needed, he kept his eye out for the right deals, he didn't annoy me with excessive, pressured communication to buy, he didn't annoy me with excessive, pressured communication to buy, really, he didn't annoy me with excessive, pressured communication to buy, and that was important to me. Since buying the car, I've really enjoyed it. When I buy a replacement, it will be a Volvo, it will be from Volvo of Memphis, and it will be through Keith Dooley.

We have not been to the new location as of yet but if it is even close to the quality of the old location than it GREAT. Keith Dooley worked with us to get the best deal and if and when I want to get another Volvo Keith is our man.

When I first came to Volvo of Memphis I had no intention of buying a car. I had a 2001 Volvo and I was looking to get my AC fixed. After finding out how much it would cost to get it fixed, I considered buying a newer used Volvo. After looking around their lot, I was greeted by a salesman who politely showed me a few choices. I was able to test drive 3 different Volvos. After sitting down to discuss payments I signed my paperwork, and was out in 45 min to an hour. Customer service was quick, efficient, and polite. I will recommend this lot to my friends.

First of all, have always disliked the car buying experience. Don't like sales folks in general and don't like the process. That said, when my son and I were looking for his first car 2.5 years ago, we happened to see an 04 Grand Cherokee on the lot. Got out to take a look and Keith Dooley came out to greet us. Within a short period of time, my perception began to change. Keith couldn't have been a more down to earth and friendly guy. Not pushy, very informed and an overall really nice experience! We bought the Jeep that day, and my son is getting ready to take it to college this fall. Fast forward to May 2014. Looking for my daughter's first car. One she liked was the Volvo S60. Contacted Keith to see if he had any in our price range. Said he was likely going to have one on trade in a few weeks and would get back to me. A few weeks later, got a call and within a few days, my daughter became the owner of a very well kept, Volvo of Memphis maintained 04 S60. Due to a recent family illness, we needed a vehicle big enough to accommodate luggage and a wheelchair. We found the perfect used SUV at Volvo with Mr. Dooley's assistance. After test driving Mr. Dooley personally insured our issues were quickly resolved. Should one want a no pressure, knowledgeable sales assistant, we recommend Mr. Dooley.

I was extremely well pleased with the vehicle knowledge of the salesmen and the courtesy extended during the process of buying my vehicle. They did everything possible to insure that I would be satisfied in the process and the outcome. It was a good experience in which I felt both parties came away satisfied with the purchase price. They will be moving to a new location and facilities in the next 18 months.

I had a horrible experience with this dealer from start to finish. The sales people were unknowledgable about what they were selling, the loan officers were unhelpful and do not return calls, there were problems when the proper documentation was not sent to recieve my tags, the dealership itself was out of date & in need of repairs. The only bright spot of this whole ordeal were the service technicians that serviced my 2005 S40. I had to return for repairs three times to get the problems that were supposed to fixed in the first place repaired. The service techs kept me informed during the whole process and were sincere in their apologies. I regret buying a volvo and will never return back to that dealer.

Was on the website and a chat window opened up. I was immediately suspicious but the operator (Nate) passed the Turing test. And was quite helpful, it turns out the location may actually have the sort of vehicle I'm looking for. All in all a positive experience for 6 AM on a Sunday.

Took a 2000 Volvo S80 T-6 in for repair. Car had bad idle, brake booster not working, cruise control disabled, stalling out occasionally, poor acceleration, ect. A few hours later my wife received a phone call informing her that there were an estimated 5,000 dollars or more in repairs. The list was as follows:Flame Box Replacement: $982Throttle Module: $1051Coil Packs And Plugs: $861Mass Air Flow Sensor: $433Boost Pressure Sensors: $363Turbo Pipes: $395Brake Booster: $109When my wife informed me, I was skeptical being as I had already replaced the mass air flow sensor (with the exact same Bosh part). So, when I returned to Volvo Of Memphis I asked the mechanic to explain the problems, which he agreed in a bit of a perturbed fashion. I thanked him and paid their $120 diagnostic fee. After a bit of easy deliberation I narrowed my list down to a few most likely possibilities, the Throttle Module being the priority of them all. I did one google search and BAM! A mass of complaints of Volvo electronic throttle modules. I even found out that Volvo has several lawsuits against them for the matter, and the part had been recalled. So its not a new issue with them I'm guessing. Unfortunately, my particular S80 had already been taken in for the recall by a prior owner. In my search I also found out how to clean the module. So with a little help from You Tube and a can of carburetor cleaner, the Volvo is running well and I'm not out 5,000.My point of this whole review is it seems impossible that this dealership would not know of this sort of problem. Especially one that had this much effect on their products reputation. Were they trying to rip me off, or are they really that lazy to figure out a problem. I'll let you be the judge of that.

I service my 05 V50 with Pat Patterson Volvo and they provide great service. I am very knowledgeable about cars and their service department employees always give me a very good explanations for everything they do. The only thing is that they are always so busy that it is best to bring the car in early morning or leave it overnight - little chance to get service done same day if you bring car in the afternoon. We did not buy the car here as we just moved to Memphis. So I am not sure how good the sales department is. However if their service is so busy, they must be selling well because there is no other Volvo dealer in 150 miles range.
