Inquired about a new vehicle on cars.com. The internet salesperson could not give me any information and referred me to her manager. The manager, after several minutes of apparent searching, told me the vehicle had been sold. However, after more than a week, the vehicle is still on cars.com and still shown on the dealer's website.

Overall the experience was great, but I feel there is a lot of miscommunication between personnel, due to the fact that I had just left the dealership and I received a voice message that I had an appt with one of the salesman, which I had already spoken to while my vehicle was getting serviced. Also personnel should show more enthusiasm greeting customers ,some of them look like they're lost or something.

It is a pleasant environment with the waiting room television, lounge chairs, etc. The staff is friendly and curteous, everything is easily accessible. The only thing about getting the oil changed is the down time. It takes about 1 hour and 20 min. to do the oil change, multi-point inspection, etc. I understand the thoroughness, but a regular oil change at a "speedy lube" type facility usually takes 20-30 min. max. That would save me so much time as I am on the go and don't have much time to waste sitting in the waiting room watching television. But, other than that, it was a very nice experience.

I would like to make one suggestion; have better reception on your TV and something to really watch. Sometimes our visit to Payne take a while, so we wait in your waiting area. Not all of us have electronic devices that will keep us entertained. That is the reason for my suggestion. Thank you!

I took my 2015 Chevrolet equinox in for an oil change and maintenance under the warranty. On my way to the dealership, a piece of debris flew out of a truck and landed on the road. I couldn't avoid it, it hit my tires. As I was approaching the dealership, I saw my dashboard, signaling, my tire was low tire pressure. I was scared my tire was damaged. I told the representative about my oil change & tire situation. They did the change and inspected my tires. The wait time was an 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours. I was out of the dealership within the time frame given. I was back on the road to start my day. Thank you for excellent customer service.

I remember when I purchased my corvette I was brought through the service area and greeted with a smile and felt like I was appreciated. After purchase, and without a salesman, not so much. I was pretty disappointed that that's what it took for someone to smile and greet someone. I have another dealership 2 miles away from me but chose to go 20 miles back there as I remembered the smiling faces from before. Well that was a thing of the past.

The tech who presented me with my bill told me I had a lot of work to be done on my 6 year old car. He had them listed and the prices it would cost to get them done. He suggested a scheduled appointment to do the transmisson and injector valve cleaning, etc. at my convenience HOWEVER, that detailed piece of paper never made it back to me at the cashiers window. I didn't fully look at my paperwork until I got home to Harlingen. Can it be mailed to me? Joan Melton

My salesman was Arturo, he was excellent he had a awesome sense of humor, he had great customer service skills. I wish I could say the same from finance the finance guy named Vince was very unprofessional, it seemed like he didn't want to work he didn't smile and presented himself as very rude. Since I didn't feel like working with a rude man Arturo stepped in and had Jackie from Chevy close the deal now she was awesome she was friendly and explained everything very well. If I was going to stay with Vince trust me I would of taken my business elsewhere. I have a bought several vehicles from Ed Payne and this was my first encounter with Vince and if I ever need a other vehicle I will not go to Vince that's the honest truth.

I met my salesman, Alvaro Hernandez, the day I went to look for a new truck for work. He was very knowledgable about the Duramax diesel truck and all it's new technological improvements it has made since I last bought one 9 years ago. This is my 2nd GMC 2500 HD with the Duramax diesel. I never felt pushed or hurried on the deal. I was impressed with all Alvaro's experience in selling these trucks. He has a wealth of information, from the motor & transmission stats, to the Nav/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Back-up camera, etc. He never ran out of info because he studies and does his homework on the vehicles he sells. He was kind and friendly, informative and yet never over-bearing in his approach. When I buy my next vehicle, I am looking for Alvaro.

I arrived for an oil change at a time when the service advisors were very busy. I thought it would take a long time just to get started, but Robert got me setup in no time. My brand new vehicle was damaged while it was in the possession of the dealership for its first oil change. My vehicle was damaged by a customer. The dealership only informed me of the damage after the fact and after the police officer had left the location. The fact that the dealership would allow customer to park/drive off from the same area where customers entrust them with their own new vehicles. Now Im left to deal with damages on my vehicle.

This dealer would get A++ grades from me, but they consistently fail to greet customers upon arrival at their service area. A "Hi, welcome to Payne Chevrolet. We'll be right with you." would go a long way. On my latest visit, a male and a female advisor clearly saw me after I walked in. Neither were too busy to greet me. About two minutes later, the lady asked, "Have you been helped, sir?" It was obvious I had not been helped. The advisors give the feeling that customers are a bother to them.

Replaced feathered rear tires due to lack of rotation, however the new tires should have been placed in front and the good used tires moved to the back, per my conversation with the service consultant, instead the new tires were just installed at the back.

Emailed dealer about a vehicle posted on internet theycalled me within 15 minutes and told me we have it here come by. Drove 20 miles to go see it and when I get there they tell me they cant find it. Kept me waiting and tried to find it but never did. A week later saw viehcle still on internet and emailed them to see if they found it but no response. I believe it a gimmick just to get you in and try to sell you something else.

Purchased a used car there. They said no mechanical probs with the car. 2 weeks ofo driving it, the car started flaring. Meaning the car lunge forward at not right situations. Ford wont fix it. They are waiting for the extended warranty weslaco motors sold me to expire. Thats when they will say it does have a problem. Weslaco M also said this car has not been involved in car accidents, but the paint on the car does not matxh the whole car.

The new Payne Buick building was where I had the pleasure of experiencing some of the best customer service of my entire life. Call me strange, but it actually felt as if I was around family the whole time. The staff was very down to earth and made me feel relaxed, as if I was floating in a sea of kittens and unicorn kisses. Couldn't come to an agreement on the monthly paymentl. We heard on TV commercial for Payne that you would also giving "FREE" Olive Garden dinner. Still waiting for the dinner we have called several times to Mr. Aldrete he no longer answer our calls.. I called him after the test drive on Monday to see if he was able to get me a deal he advised I was the 3rd on the list, so I reminded him of the "Olive Garden" tickets an abrutelly hung-up on me. The sales person advised Mr. Aldrete if they could send the "Dinner" give away to the Brownsville Payne Office & he promise that they would but again we still have not receive anything. This is not the first time we have had a BAD experience with Mr. Aldrete. We did buy a 2 011 Malibu about 2 years ago & I really wanted the 2013 Verano.
