Bought a certified pre-owned Hyundai from here. I overpaid because of the car shortage but I got what I wanted, so it's all good. They took good care of me. A lot of pressure to purchase the extended warranty, but no surprise there. Make up your mind on it before you go and stick to your decision and you'll be fine. Not much room for negotiation without a trade in. Overall a great experience.Very happy with my purchase.

This post is based solely on the only experience I've had with this dealership. I called ahead to see if they had a specific car model available that I was looking for, they told me up front no but one coming in soon and if I wanted to come for a test drive. I came over and was greeted very pleasantly, took a test drive, didn't get yanked around with a lot of BS and put a deposit down on the car I wanted. Very quick, easy, and painless experience. I went back about two weeks later to pick up my new car and handle financing. I had another great experience with my Salesman Kevin and Finance Manager Glenn. Great team of people there. I highly recommend this dealership.

I've purchased a couple cars of my own prior to making our Santa Fe purchase and this has been, by far, my/our best buying experience. Vito and Amin were awesome to work with and we felt taken care of and well informed. Never once were we pushed into a particular vehicle or sale. We felt very comfortable. Vito from the very beginning learned about what we were looking for and showed us the two vehicles we had researched. We feel that we ended up making the right purchase by going with the Santa Fe and that is due to Vito allowing us the time to explore both the CX5 and Santa Fe inside and out. The only hiccup were the couple bumper dings at pick up which Vito and Amin were quick to resolve. It just meant a couple more visits for us. An unfortunate occurrence but it wasn't their fault and made quick moves to correct. They were sure that the car was perfect for us when we finally took it home. When it comes time to making our next car purchase we'd absolutely go back to Wilkins/Vito/Amin and plan to share our experience with others who are in the market. Thanks for taking good care of us Vito and Amin!

What can I say, when all hope is lost you find good people out there,and you start at Wilkins Hyundai/Mazda in Elmhurst. I purchased my new Sonata there but I originally walked in thinking I was going get treated like another number, but to my surprise, it was like walking into car heaven. I was greeted by Mr.Wilkins and he directed me to Phil Hobson. Phil asked what my needs were and we went from there. Amin Smith came in to join the conversation and together with Phil helped seal the deal. I must say that was as professional and knowledgeable as two people can get. They made me feel like I was the most important customer there and went out of their way to help me. I really had the best car buying experience of my life and three people had everything to do with that. Phil Hobson, Amin Smith and the owner of Wilkins dealership Mr. Wilkins . Nice people do exist out there and Wilkins is a perfect example of that. Thank You very much for all your help. Oh and just as a side note, I really love my new Sonata....

I went in for a test drive after test driving at a different dealer the night before. A man named Jim took me for a test drive and we talked about what I wanted and all my different options. I told him what I wanted to spend and he got me a deal in the range I was looking for comparable to the prices I had printed up from the internet. It included more extras on the car than I thought I could afford. I was very pleased with the car and the dealership. I came across a website called dealerrater.com and started reading the Wilkins reviews. They were all excellent so I had to find out for myself. I visited Wilkins and met Phil Hobson. To borrow a quote from Jerry McGuire, Phil had me at hello well not quite. We just sat and chatted a bit. I told him what I was looking for and we just had a conversation and then I left. I liked Phil and his low key, no pressure approach and I especially liked the fact he has worked for Wilkins for 25 years.I already knew that I wanted a Genesis and now I knew I wanted to buy it from Phil. The G80s are just started to arrive at dealerships and Wilkins did not have the color combination that I wanted, but within a week, Wilkins found one at another dealer, brought it in yesterday and I drove it home last night.I decided to lease the vehicle so the last step was signing the lease agreement with Tom Ballum. Guess what, Tom has been at Wilkins for 33 years. The paperwork took minutes, not hours, and Phil had already emailed me the numbers before coming in and there were no surprises with Tom. The lease agreement was right to the penny of what was in Phils email. And again, no pressure to buy this add on or that add on.One final thought. On a hunch, I drove the Genesis about a month ago. After many years of driving German cars, the Genesis just blew me away in so many ways. And when you look at the price point and what you actually get, it is an amazing value.

Once in a blue moon I buy a car. I bought a 2016 Sonata from Mike Myer last week. Mike patiently took me on two test drives while I decided between a car or a SUV. He was excellent to deal with and the fact that we bought another car was not the fault of Phil, the dealership or Hyundai. We bought a pre-owned Toyota Sequoia from Mike Myers (great name!), and also worked with Rich, the sales manager. Usually, when we walk into a car lot, we feel like prey wandering into a lion's den. Not here though! We felt comfortable and were treated respectfully and fairly. The Sequoia was one of the best available at the time and at one of the best prices. There were a couple of issues, as to be expected with a 2005, but Mike and Rich corrected the couple things we requested and even a couple of things we didn't. 5-star service!

We were very pleased with the Staff and their professionalism. We looked at both used and new vehicles and the costs and benefits were explained to us in detail and we ended up leasing a new Sonata. The cost first amount quoted me actually went down when I was finishing up all the paperwork. Phil, Rich, Tom and the rest of the staff were great to work with. It is a nice feeling to know you are not being taken advantage of and are comfortable with the staff and the car buying experience. My wife and I had a few bad experiences at other car dealers which left a bad taste in our mouth, which was remedied after our experience at Wilkins.

I had had a terrible accident and was really dealing with some frustrating issues. When the insurance check finally cleared I really did my research to make sure I was getting the right car for me and my family. I went to at least 5 different dealerships and looked around/test drove many cars. At every single place I experienced the whole, "What will it take us to get you in this car" salesman scheme and I felt major pressure. The last dealership I dealt with was Wilkins Hyundai. I had the pleasure of working with Andy Moujouros. From the beginning I could see he was genuine and honest. He didn't give me any Bologna or try up selling me. I am on my third Hyundai, and all where purchased at Wilkins. One of the main reasons I keep going back to Wilkins is their service department. I usually go there after I get off work without an appointment. They usually get me in right away, and get it done in a timely manner. If the repairs or service require more time, they set me up with a loaner car. John has always been my go to guy. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. I will be going in soon for my 3,000 mile oil change.

Just purchased my first Hyundai from Wilkens and I would definitely recommend this Dealer. Their sales person Jim Minogue greeted us quickly but did not hover. When we were ready for the test drive he had 2 vehicles ready for us and he wasn't pushy at all on either one. There was no pressure to get a vehicle with features we didn't need and they have a decent selection even though they are getting ready to expand. I was leaning towards either a Tucson or a Mazda CX5. We left with the Tucson and I am very happy with it. Jim went over the features and helped us adjust the settings before we left. We financed so we worked with Glenn and he was a pleasure to work with. I hate that part of the process so that's a real compliment. We purchased the Extended Warranty, which we have not done in the past but adjustments were made and it was well worth the extra peace of mind. I believe we received a very fair deal on the vehicle and we are happy with our purchase. Every staff member we saw seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be choosing Wilkens if Service is ever needed even though it's a little geographically inconvenient for us because they seem to have high standards and a want to make sure their customers are happy.

I went to the dealer because of a routine oil change and wanted to look at newer models. I was interested in two features my 2011 Sonata did not have...back up camera and navigation and because I made the final payment on the 2011 car. I like the Sonata's transmission and handling so knew I would be looking at another Sonata. I anticipated getting a 2015 but with the rebates and 0% financing the 2016 was affordable. I am very happy with this car and the whole buying experience.

My salesman Jeff Matzkin was a pleasure to do Buisness with. I came from McGrath Hyundai with a very bad experience from their sales staff. Jeff was the complete opposite of what a stereotypical "car salesman" is portrayed as. I wish all my sales experiences where as straightforward, honest, genuine and sincere as my experience was at Wilkins. I say all of this with the experience I have of working in sales in the the past, because of this I feel that I generally have much higher expectations than your average joe. During the past I felt like just another sale but with Jeff I feel like he genuinely cares. I apologize for ranting but this experience really left a good impression on me.

I knew I wanted a Sonata and Vito had several to choose from. We selected the newest one in the color I wanted and test drove it right away. Once we got back we discussed trading in my old vehicle. After a wait he came back with their offer which was fair. Upon closer inspection of the car I noticed that the pin striping they apply was chipped and I stated that I will not purchase the cur unless it is fixed. It was agreed upon and we proceeded to financing. The finance guy was kind and straightforward about the extended warranty offers.

This car is an suv and has all of the bells and whistles such as, navigation, touch screen, backup camera, heated seats, leather seats, a remote starter, sunroof and moon roof! It was the whole package! I came to Wilkins, with no money down just a trade in and bad credit. So once I fell in love I was nervous I wouldn't get approved. Right away I met with a salesman named Mike Myers (yes that is name, how awesome?) and he was amazing. He asked me what my budget was, what would be the highest I would pay and what would be the lowest. Mike worked with me and got me to the exact number I wanted to be. After hearing I was approved with the payments I wanted I was so stoked to leave in my new car. Once I got home, I began to set up the Bluetooth, however, when I trled to set up the Bluetooth there was no way to Lync. At first I thought okay maybe I am not used to the technology and it's me, so then I googled the manual and it still didn't work then I figured maybe I need to watch a video on it. I spent one hour on YouTube and tried everything I could and still nothing. The very next day I brought the car back to Wilkins for Mike to try it, Mike and myself spent another 15 minutes trying to figure it out. Shortly after nothing worked he had his manager Ken get involved. Ken informed me to leave the car overnight he'll give me a rent a car and he will have it checked out. A day later Mike calls me and tells me it was an issue with the remote start. The person who owned the vechile before me put in a aftermarket remote starter and the way it was installed messed up the Bluetooth. Mike let me know that ken has to work with Kia and see if they can help them remove the remote starter. Ken let me use the rent the car in the meantime. At first, I was really sad it was the car I wanted and I got it then I had to give it right back and now it looses one of the main things I loved. Then It had been days and I grew frustrated but through the days Mike kept in touch with me each time he knew something he would call me. Throughout the few days waiting even times I called to speak with ken it was beyond comforting and always informative. After the days pass Mike and Ken finally hear word from Kia that Kia would not help them fix it and the only way they will is if Wilkins pays and right away Ken and Mike attacked the issue and resolved it. Mike calls me and tells that my car ready and even better I still have my remote start! I got my car back with all the bells and whistles and the remote starter! I can say overall, my experience was amazing the customer service is outstanding! Thank you both for going above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed. I appreciate your time and great service!

I walked into the dealership having done my homework and was down to two vehicles (plus a third not yet available). Murad Alramahi showed me both vehicles, went on test drives with me, and answered my plethora of questions. I left thinking I'd made my decision, but went back a couple days later to solidify the deal. They didn't have the exact configuration that I wanted so we placed an order, but Sales Mgr, Ken Wagner, said they'd also look in the area for one. About a week later, Murad called to say they'd gotten my third choice in (just in case I wanted to still come check it out)...talk about wanting to make sure a customer got what she wanted! I went in, and ultimately decided to stick with my first choice, and wait ~12 wks for my ordered one or for a local one to pop up. But all the while, Murad and Ken kept in touch to let me know what they were finding, and lo and behold, they found my exact match just a few weeks later. My hubby and I went in that day to pick up my car. We were greeted & treated like family and Murad spent LOTS of time showing me every bell & whistle and helping get everything adjusted and set before I drove off the lot. Murad even gave me a couple follow-up calls just to see how I liked the car and if I had any questions. Again, the customer service was absolutely 1st rate at Wilkins!

Service was OK after test driving one of there used vehicles was prepared to make an offer before I had done so the salesman commented that he thought the car was under priced. The asking price was 6,900 had researched the vehicle comparing prices with kelly's Blue Book, NADA,True Car and Endmunds, they varied in valuing the vehicle from 5,300 to 6,300 in perfect condition. The car was very clean with low miles but had a ding in the hood. At this point I made what I be leaved to be a fare offer of 5,800 based on an average of the four price guide values.Salesman said there was no wiggle room so I shook his hand thanked him for his time and left. I am all for making a fare profit but they are over priced. This car based on the four guides referenced above whole sales for 3,400 in minto condition. Ever experience I have had with trading in a vehicle the dealerships will never give you what these guides say. A few years back I had looked at a vehicle here with the same experience.

I became a customer of Wilkins due to being driven away from McGrath City due to poor sales people. The first salesperson I spoke with didn't bother to provide me with any information as promised (important things like a lease quote!) and the second salesperson met my displeasure with the price being offered by suggesting a different vehicle.Ending an 6+ year relationship with McGrath was made far easier when I found out that Wilkins had the car I wanted and I emailed Jim Minogue through the online portal. A large amount of the preliminary work was done via email. As someone who works very long hours maximizing my time is very, very important to me. Jim's quick and accurate responsiveness through email allowed me to show up at Wilkins with him knowing exactly what I was looking for, and me to know what type of pricing they were offering.I did not experience any of the normal frustrations that I was accustomed to (and prepared for) in selecting a new vehicle. I can't stress enough how nice it was to deal with a lot of the process through email! And once I met Jim I found him to be very easy to talk to, a completely straight-forward, no hard-sell / pressure approach. He was knowledgeable, warm, and was eager to get me the vehicle that I wanted for a price that I was happy with.I am incredibly happy with this dealership. The previous dealership lost their relationship with me by their own choice, and Jim's professionalism won himself and Wilkins my business and my recommendation.

From the time I walked in the door, I felt comfortable. Vito Denella greeted me right away. I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase another Sante Fe or not. Was also looking at the Tucson. I wanted to keep the same payment that I was already making. My son totalled one of our cars and we weren't sure if I was going to get a vehicle or he was. I just popped in Friday to see what they had to offer. Came back Saturday and brought my son to see if we could lease a car for him and how much they would give me for the trade in. I thought their trade-in offer was a little low but I did have some dings and a cracked windshield. I figured if they could come up with the same payment that I already was making the trade-in value didn't matter. I didn't think I was going to be able to the the Sante Fe Sports unlimited so was willing to get the Tucson instead. I also didn't like the color they had in stock. They found me the Marling Blue with everything I wanted on the following Monday and I came in that evening and bought it. I love it. This is my 3rd or 4th Sante Fe and 4th or 5th Hyundai that I have purchases over the last 16 years. Love your cars

I was looking for a new hyandai sonata and I was shopping around for about a week. Not only Did this dealership have much more inventory to choose from, but they were by far the easiest to deal with and negotiate with. They were significantly lower in price overall and they got meet approved for financing in about 15 minutes. One thing that was holding me up with buying the car from other dealers was how much I was getting for my car I was trading in. They gave me $1200 more than any other dealer, which was pretty significant considering my car was only worth about 2k. Every other dealers as trying to give me almost nothing for my car. The staff and management were absolutely stellar. They recommended a certified car instead of brand new which saved me a ton of money and was just as good of condition as new with only 4k miles. I highly recommend Wilkins Hyundai for your next purchase. I will definitely be buying from them again in the future.

I started out with another dealer and when all was said and done the price on their ad tripled after all the fees were calculated. I contacted Wilkins through an online ad and spoke with Sarah. She answered my questions and set up an appointment for me with Vito Dinella. I went in, drove several cars, gave Vito my criteria and he came back with a price I could work with. i am sorry to see that others have had the same exact BAIT AND SWITCH scam tried on them. the salesman tried to sell us a car with a $1,000 add on to have the car certified. once i was home and comparing this car to another i noticed that on their site and on craigslist they had the car as a certified used car without the extra 1K in fees. After I called the salesman and asked him about it he mentioned that this was already discussed and that the ads that are still up days later, were wrong. After asking to speak with his manager I hear his handset hang up on me. I called back left a message for the manager and he called me back stating that he was grateful i brought the mistake to his attention and that he would be willing to honor the advertised deal. (as like he had a choice in the matter). He also ensured me that the advertising department would have to change that right away and sure enough days later it shows the same. As they were not willing to negotiate a penny off of the car, I originally walked out. The next day they were willing to take off $200 but made it sound that their children would go hungry for the month because of it. On a 20K vehicle this is a slap in the face. you expect to go to a dealer and negotiate money off of a car not get charged a grand more to "certify" an already certified car. buying a car can be very stressful and to top it off having to deal with such intentional crooks, it makes the car buying experience that much worse.BUYER BEWARE!!!Mr Wilkins, thank you for your response however please be advised that as requested, I will not be removing my review of your dealership as others need to be made aware of what they are walking into. Keep in mind that the $200 your sales person and manager were willing to take off was not the bigger issue. as insulting as that is to any car buyer out there, the bigger issue lies with the fact that as I write this response your vehicle is still advertised on your website and on craigslist as a certified used vehicle. (After the manager ensured me that it would be corrected on the ads.) In addition as great as buying a certified car may be, it does not state anywhere that the buyer will have to pay an additional $1,000 for that certification of an already certified car. Add insult to injury, The salesperson was not willing to honor that advertisement, he stated that this was already discussed and that was that. As this was set in stone, and simply made it OK for me to be taken advantage of. Now this was all prior to hanging up on me when I asked to be speak to his manager. When the manager returned my voicemail, he at the end stated that he would be willing to honor that deal, as i would assume that he legally has to. In closing, the issue again is the fact that the salesperson knew exactly what he was doing and decided to keep digging a bigger hole if you will. Instead of admitting his mistake or at the very least "pretend" he made a mistake and take the higher road, he felt it would be best to make me feel as I was the one that was wrong and that I should of assumed it was normal to pay more for (again) certifying an already certified car. Either way, we purchased a brand new car for literally five dollars more then your advertised price with the exact package at patrick hyuindai. Shortly they will get my well deserved praises on this site along with others, as by no means did I feel lied to or in any way feel like i was being taken advantage of.

DON'T SHOP THERE. People were rude and post cars that they don't have on the website. I scheduled and appointment and left my phone number.However when I got there the dealer said it was sold in the morning. The car keeps riposting with even lower rate when asked all can they say is "Sorry". Ridiculous. I wouldn't ask you to trust my experience but have it in mind if you decide to shop there.

It was a very Bad experience for me.the sales guy was very good and took the time to go through the car i was looking at, it was when we started talking money that the finance Manager was not a good person to deal with.We made them an offer on the car we wanted and he sent the sales guy to get a different car that we could afford at that price.so we continued to pick up our stuff to leave. he didn't even make an offer back to us or explain why they couldn't do the price we wanted.While leaving the sales guy asked if we would wait so he could talk to a Manager and try to salvage any deal we might be able to make. The finance Manager comes out and asks me why i was offering such a low price on the car i wanted, did i see it online or another dealership.i told him yes i did and proceeded to show him the exact same car at a lower priceand he told me good luck on buying the car and let me leave.i was contacted by them Several time's from them to try and make a dealbut i told them i was never going back there for the way they treat people.i did buy a car at St. Charles Nissan, and they are people that treat you withrespect and also look for your best interest at heart.Go buy a car anywhere but here. I was interested in leasing a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. I spoke to Kristin through emails. I had never leased a car before and had a lot of questions. She was very quick in replying back with answers. This went on for a whole week. She was very helpful. At the end of the week on Saturday I came into Wilkins and Andy became my consultant. I had already had most of answers, with just a few more questions to ask Andy. He also, was very helpful and friendly. He went through every function through the inside the car in detail. We test drove the car and it was just what I wanted. Later in the afternoon, Andy and I were talking and it turned out his father owned a restaurant in Elmhurst that was right next door to my Dad's work. My Dad would go there everyday for a sandwich and coffee. They both knew each other very well. Such a "small world" we live in. I would definitely go back there again and ask for Andy. He was a very nice guy and everything went smoothly.

Buying a car from Wilkins Hyundai was the best car buying experience I've ever had and I've bought a lot of cars. Our sales person Sarge listened to everything we needed to make the deal work and did a tremendous job giving us a deal we could not pass up. We had just had a bad experience with a Hyundai dealer 10 minutes from us and drove an hour to get to Wilkins Hyundai and were not disappointed. We got top dollar for our trade-in and without perfect credit got a low interest rate on our loan for the 2013 Tucson we purchased. I would definitely drive that hour trip again in the future based on the experience we had with Sarge and anybody else we talked to at the dealership. I've written here before. I came in for an oil change the day after Thanksgiving. My oldest brother came along because he was interested in buying a Santa Fe. After sitting down with Jim, who had already sold me a Santa Fe in 2009 and my other brother an Elantra in 2011, my oldest brother got the price he wanted and bought a 2014 Santa Fe Sport. Jim was his usual courteous self. I even got a present from Jim for a 2nd referral, which I did not expect.Fast forward to Dec 28th. Out of the blue, I was in the market to replace my 2007 Pontiac G6 with 131k miles. I went to see Jim. Brought the wife and kids. I've liked the Sonata for some time, but never drove one. Jim grabbed the keys and we went for a drive. Liked it. Instead of getting the 2013 and getting a steal of a deal my wife and I fell in love with the red 2014 Sonata SE Turbo on the showroom floor. Jim knows the kind of guy I am. As soon as I told him to see what he could do on that car, we got a price better than expected and we took the car home. 4th vehicle within the family bought from Jim. Over the years I have spoken to other reps there as I have had basic service on the Santa Fe. The team at Wilkins feels like a family atmosphere. I have seen them grow. I have always seen customers smiling and their sales floor busy. I've never thought buying a car would be so much fun. I am curious who else I can help buy from Jim. I get a kick out of buying cars. When we went and did the paperwork, I got to meet Tom for the first time, he was cracking jokes with us and making us laugh.Overall, if you want a Hyundai, forget all the other dealers. Other dealers might have a bigger selection, but for being a smaller dealer, Wilkins is where you want to be. They care. They treat you like family, and best of all, I see the same people, whether it's service or sales for almost 5 years now. That kind of consistent tenure in the car industry at the same place is rare.

One of the worst dealership in the Chicago IL...They waste our whole day and end my application was not approved. when i worked with other dealership i got approved within 15 mints and walk away with my new car. The work sale team ever saw...no value for the time just they want to sell the cars at any cost..iam sorry to say its my personal experience about the sale team and the business manager ..very rude no professional ethics...

In all my 40 plus years of buying a car i have never had a greater experience than at Wilkins , the sales man Sarge Sakinovic who listened to my situation helped pick out the right auto to fit my budget and needs. he went above and beyond what any other sales person that i have ever encountered.He treated me like i was family. Also the sales manager Ken Wagner was very instrumental in finalizing my deal. I walked in with low expectations on purchasing a car and was amazed at the time and attention Ken put into getting this deal done . TPMS (Tire Pressure Moniter System) light came on twice in last three days. Made an internet appointment at Wilkins dealership checkup. Show up on time, greet and meet by John. The car was ready to go in less 20 minutes with minor adjustments and more pressure in tires with no charge. Wilkins even wash my car.

My husband Steve and I came in the other night with our daughter Dianna to purchase a car..Vito was the salesman helping us..I have never felt more comfortable at a dealership than I have with this one. Vito was so helpful,listened to what Dianna wanted and made the numbers work for a young 21 year old..Vito also explained how things worked in the car,set up her bluetooth with her,and answered any questions she had with complete patience ...She drove away in a beautiful Elantra...We were so impressed, we are now in the works with Vito on the purchase of a Sonata...each salesperson we dealt with at this dealership,down to the finance man,made us feel so comfortable...like family :) It was a wonderful experience !!!..

I bought a car from Wilkins about 7 months ago and was pleased with the process at the time, but assumed it was similar to experiences I would have somewhere else. When my fiancee's car stopped running this last week, we were trying to spend less money for a car that ran. We visited a couple of different dealerships, hoping to find something to meet our needs, but we couldn't find cars we felt like we could trust or people we wanted to work with. It was at that point that we decided - despite not finding anything in our ideal price range - to go back to Wilkins. We worked with Sarge Sakinovic last time and requested him again...only this time did we realize how lucky Wilkins is to have an employee like Sarge. He's a no-nonsense, no-pressure salesman whose care for his customers is admirable. He remembered each of us from 7 months ago and listened to what we wanted. Rather than trying to upsell us from the price range we gave, Sarge worked with us to make sure we understood our options and let us spend as much time as possible testing (and re-testing) cars. The way he treated us made us feel like members of the big Wilkins family; he made the car buying process fun.We also spent time talking about our financial options with Rich Sughero, the sales manager. Both Rich and Sarge appeared to do their jobs well; they didn't try to butter us up or play hardball with the prices. They listened to what we had to say, explained the dealership's position on the car, and worked with us to come up with a fair price. Just like when I bought my Altima last October, we left feeling like we got a great value on a 2011 Nissan Sentra. Hopefully we left a little profit in it for them as well.Both times I've worked with him, Tom Ballun turned the financial piece into a fast and stress-free process. He explained our options, provided several additional coverage plans (which he was fine with when we decided not to go with them), and put us at ease.We certainly haven't tried all the dealers out there, but both of our experiences with Wilkins will make sure we talk to them first the next time we (or anyone we know) are looking for a car.

Jim was very easy to work with and made the "dreaded car buy" experience quite easy. Tom took over from there, and made the financing easy too. Both gentlemen were patient and thorough - taking lots of time to go over the financing and the new features in our new car. My first new car buying experience was less than pleasant, so I wasn't exactly enthusiastic when I first walked into Wilkins Hyundai on my second go 'round. I was immediately greeted by Sarge, who was incredibly friendly and helpful without being pushy or overbearing in the slightest. Initially, I had only stopped in looking to ask some questions and gather information, as I wasn't even certain I wanted to buy a Hyundai, but quickly began to change my mind. Sarge helped me get into a nicer car than I ever thought I would own, with an outstanding warranty, all at a fair and reasonable price that I was comfortable with. Tom Ballun also made all the paperwork a breeze. I've been driving my car for about two months, now, and couldn't be happier. If you're thinking of buying a Hyundai, and you should be with all their available options/features and America's Best Warranty, I'd highly recommend you head over to Wilkins and ask for Sarge.

I purchased a used Scion 2009 in October 2012. Jim Minogue responded to my e-mail inquiry. He was patient, kind and persistent. My work schedule is crazy and he worked around it. I am a proud owner of this beautiful vehicle. After my purchase when I was at work I attempted to use my second key. It would not open my door. I called the next day, expecting the brush off the opposite occured. I was invited to stop by and the folks in service were going to take a look. Well, to my delight there was not one person but several to greet me. Warm and welcoming. Doors were looked at and fixed. The manual lock just needed 10w40. Then I went on my merry way. Just called on 1-2-13 to make an appt. with service for my oil change and check up. I am actually looking forward to it. The folks at Wilkins make it a pleasure to do busines. I searched for 2 months before I committed to this purchase.

So this review has a few pieces to it. First of all, we purchased our Santa Fe in February 2009. Jim Minogue was one of the best people to deal with. The whole experience was a good one. I did not buy the vehicle that night due to a snow storm and it being my wife's birthday, but we negotiated everything and came back on Saturday. The entire experience from top to bottom has been GREAT. Jim is older than me and kept calling me Sir. I thought is was funny. As the year have gone by, we still love our Santa Fe. I've had basic Maintenance done tot he car and both Ray and Matt in the Service Dept are kind and courteous and always anxious to help and resolve your questions/concerns. Service is quick and fast. As time has gone on, I have also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Tom Wilkins. A very nice guy. Down to Earth and family oriented. He took the time one day to talk to me and asked how old my kids are. I've been in other dealerships where I have seen some real abrasive owners. Tom, I believe anyway, has created a good atmosphere at his dealership from top to bottom. I've enjoyed the Wilkins experience so much that my next car WILL be from them. I have also recommended by brother to them and he also bought a car from Jim. THey live on the northside of Arlington Hts and also enjoyed the experience.

I recently purchased a used car and the entire process was completely seamless and the end result was even better then what I had hoped for. My sales person was Andy and I gave him some idea of what I thought I was looking for and what I thought my price range would be. Not only did he listen to what I said, he listened to what I didn't say and found a perfect fit for me. What I expected would be an all day exhausting experience was not even close to how well the day went. While the finance person worked to see what would fit in my budget, Andy and I viewed a couple of cars until I found one that I liked. Since I have a hectic schedule I left to run some errands while they finished working with the bank and getting together the paperwork. They called me when they were ready and let me know ahead of time what information to bring. By the time I got back, my file was complete and everything was ready to go. It was very organized and they had actually spent time to work out a better deal then what I had anticipated. I am a busy single mom and funds are tight. I was able to buy a car for a better price then I thought and still run errands and kids around. No one tried to sell me anything that I did not need and even when I started to look out of my price range, Andy reminded me of what my intent was when I walked in. Any place that will work to save me time and money and make my life just a bit easier is well worth a good review. They will definately be my first stop for future purchases.

They are rude and always correct. I bought a SUV w/ 61,000 miles. Was having trouble tried to contact my salesman in may begining of June. Well I never got a return call telling me that the salesman was no longer here, but I can help you. So then I asked JOE the so called used manager did not want to hear anything about my vehicle and hung up on me. Then I talked to Mr. Wilkens assistant mgr which in fact was rude and when I personally asked to speak with Mr. Wilkens,he replied he is not here today and we can not help you. So I called once again asked the operator if Mr. Wilkens is in,she replied yes he is but he is in a meeting. So there is another lie from his assistant manager. So how can you be trusted as a dealership when you lied reguarding about someone there or not you lost my business your advertisement will be removed from my car, and I think your Customer Service Managers need to tell the truth and not lie. And so much more too much to write.

When approaching the inventory, I did not get jumped by multiple salesmen at one time. The salesman was friendly, knowledgeable and motivated to accommodate my need for a vehicle. The Sales Manager assisted with due diligence to assist the salesman in making the sale happen which was not an easy task with my situation. The Processor explained the paperwork in the best way possible to ensure that I understood some of the lingo. He made sure all the appropriate paperwork was signed, sealed and delivered to the right department. I felt comfortable talking to each instead of tense. I visited Wilkins not really knowing what I was looking for, but as soon as I stepped out of the car, Sarge was there greeting me with a smile on his face. When I explained to him what I was looking for, he immediately took me to a 2009 Nissan Altima SL that was toward the top of the budget I had given him, but that impressed me pretty quickly. The car itself is a smooth ride and is immaculate on the inside and out. When I confessed to Sarge that I was visiting Wilkins because I noticed they had a more expensive car that I was most interested in, he took me to see the car but talked realistically about the two to me. While he didn't put one car down, he explained the reasons why he thought spending the extra money for the more expensive, flashier car wasn't the best idea. I appreciated his honesty. When we worked on a deal that afternoon, even though I wasn't in a position to buy that day, Sarge and the Wilkins team gave me a great offer and let me sit on it for a few days. When I went back, they extended the same great offer and, after another test drive, I was signing the papers. If you go, ask for Sarge. He was a no-nonsense kind of guy who, yes, has cars to sell and a job to do, but never was overly pushy or made me uncomfortable during the process. He gave his spiel and then let me have my say; although I didn't buy some of the upgrades he was offering, he politely accepted my decision (after making sure it was what I really wanted). Thanks to Sarge and the Wilkins team for a great experience, a great price, and a great car. I'll be back.

I received a better deal than I was looking for. Wilkins gave me a better price then what Kelly Blue Book said would be the fair retail price to pay for the vehicle I was looking to purchase. No pressure what-so-ever! Very relaxed and friendly experience. They came recommended to me by several people, and I am very happy to pass along my recommendation to others as well. I emailed Wilkins regarding the car I wanted. Andy put together a great offer and responded back to me and was able to meet with me promptly. He didn't use any sales tactics or gimmicks and let me make the decision to buy. He was friendly and helpful through the entire process. He was knowledgable of the vehicle and could answer all of my questions. He made the process painless and pressure free. I've bought a few cars in the past and this experience was the best I've ever had. Everyone at the dealer was nice and personable without it feeling forced. To answer why I gave the ratings above, it is because Wilkins treated me fair, didn't push me, and treated me like a person, not just another sale. I will refer all family and friends who want a Hyundai or Mazda to them first.

Bought a 2008 Hyundai Elantra new from this dealer. Have brought it here for regular maintenance and service ever since. Though there is a Hyundai service center closer to my home, I come to Wilkins Hyundai because I'm able to speak with my mechanic(s) personally, they answer my questions patiently, are prompt-courteous-professional and perform excellent work on the vehicle. They have a clean, comfortable waiting area and they always wash my car, too. Wilkins' Hyundai also offers coupon savings which I really appreciate. There's nothing like the feeling of confidence in one's auto mechanic!

I had a very positive and pleasant experience being assisted by a very nice and personable salesman, who want to be known as and called KP. KP took the time (with patience) to allow me to make up my mind. I made two trips to the dealership, they both were very pleasant. I feel that the primary goal was customer satisfaction(NOT JUST TO CREATE A SALE) but focusing on building toward creating an atmosphere for return customers. I will recommend KP to my family and friends. I purchased my first Hyundai vehicle. Base on this experience I will consider Hyundai vehicles in the future. My first choice for future Hyundai vehicle purchase wil be WILKINS HYUNDAI.I also had a very pleasant experience with the Sales Manager (Marty) and the Finance Manager(Domonick). This was indeed my first pleasant experience with a Finance Manager. The entire staff that I encountered on the telephone and in person created a family type atmosphere. Aweful experience. Dealer included incentives to lower the price. After being assured there were no surprises awaiting me, I went in to a leave deopsit. Surprise 1: The price rose because a discount offered no longer applied. Surprise 2: Additional cost, explained as "profit" was added "just because." Wasted lots of time with these people. Stay away--far, far away.

I was in the market for a new vehicle. I test drove a tucson and loved it. when I was ready to purchase I came to this dealership and everything was horrible from there. I was told one was coming from another dealership and this went on for days. I eventually just told them no thanks and went to another dealership. Didn't seem like they cared or wanted the business.

I just bought a used Hyundai from a very nice dealer down the street. As I was driving today, the engine light came on and the car almost died. I quickly headed back home because there is a service station right around the corner from my house. Unfortunately, they don't work on Hyundai's. Luckily, there was a dealer down the street on the other side of town, and luckily I made it there. I spoke to Chris Caccitolo in the service dept. who was nice enough to let me use their phone and told me the charge would be $125.00 to check it out. I told him I was broke, but would be paid in 2 days if they could wait. Well, they told me what was wrong with the car and let me drive away at NO COST. He knew I was broke, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your compassion in this situation. I really appreciate it and will bring this car to Wilkins Hyundai for any repairs the original dealer cannot provide and no one else. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you. This is what Christmas is really about. When Howard had the dealership I was very happy. However I became very unhappy with the service manager, after a rear stop lite problem that should have been corrected on prior service call became a dispute. I liked Janice, but the service manager does not know how to handle customers. I will never take any of my two Hyundai cars back to Wilkins service dealership.

These guys will say ANYTHING to get you in the door.I contacted this dealership on a 2009 Hyundai Elantra SE with premium package, which is very hard to find. Harry left me a message saying that they had one in stock, "unfortunately" only in Purple Rain, the color I wanted. Harry and I spoke on the phone, and he assured me that they did have this one particular car available.I came in, and after a few minutes of waiting was "helped" by Harry. First, Harry told me, "Well, you know that car was a GLS." I responded with no, it was an SE, which we confirmed on the phone, and I still had the voicemail saved on my phone to prove he said 2009 Hyundai Elantra SE with premium package. After pausing for a moment, he said, "Oh, we sold that one." Yeah right - so many people go car shopping in -30 degree weather, when your showroom was EMPTY of customers. He tried to sell me a silver one they had (supposedly), but I turned around and left immediately.
