So I brought in my 2014 Mazda CX-5 for a clunking noise diagnostic and they told me the noise was most likely the cowl bolts being loose so I went ahead and told them to do the repair. After they finished they told me that the noise was still present and that they will ask another tech to take a second look. Later they found the noise coming from the strut mounts. I told them that cannot be since I replaced the struts not too long ago and the same noise was there even before the they were replaced. They were so confident that's where the noise was from so they charged me the 155 dollar diagnostic fee. I later researched about the cowl problem and found a forum where it explains how to fix it. It WAS the cowl and fixed it myself. As I was taking apart the cowl I did not notice any signs of prior tampering plus a couple of bolts were loose. That tells me either they didn't try to do the repair or the techs are not savvy. I don't recommend having your car serviced there. At least they gave me the cowl problem idea which helped me fix the problem myself.

WOW barely pulled up in my old, beaten G25x and LEFT WITH A LOADED ROCKETSHIP AND A NEW BESTIE. I couldn't find my perfect car as the nearest one was dang near 600 miles away. I too work with dense, ill-mannered people for a living and completely understand the change of market and inventory. I GOT LUCKY HERE THOUGH. Warmly greeted by the most CHILL crew and the coolest dude in there helped me out. Sal made magic happen with a fair price on my trade and great financing program. He took the time to one over the bells and whistles in my RAV4. Now I'm cooler than the other side of the pillow. Thank you Wilkins Mazda!

I literally just called about 5 minutes ago, i am in the market for a new car and I asked if they had any cr-30s on the lot (confusing the Honda cr v with the Mazda rx-30). When they went to ask and put me on hold, they never actually put me on hold and I heard them in the background openly making fun of my mistake and saying that I obviously am not serious about a purchase if I can’t even get the name correct. They were right about one thing, I won’t purchase from Wilkins Mazda if that’s the way they are going to treat customers.

This is a fantastic set of people. They got me the exact Genesis I wanted. G70 3.3 Twin Turbo Siberian Ice! Great price. No questions went unanswered. Upon my arrival, Mike greeted me promptly. I had a specific car in mind and he immediately got to work readying the car for a test drive. I was able to take the car on a drive with just my wife. Mike was helpful, but he did not hover over us nor did he try to do a hard sell. He was professional and accommodating. He also arranged to have the car put on a rack so I could inspect the underside of the car. The price negotiation was reasonably transparent and we settled on a very fair price quickly. Overall, an excellent experience. I despise high pressure car sales, so Mike was perfect for me.

I went to look at the Mazda 3. Mike was very helpful and found a car with just what I was looking for. He explained everything. I was very indecisive at first. He was persistent but in a caring way to make sure i didnt pass up a good deal. I felt he had my best interest at heart my whole experience. I went in to look at a used car that they had for sale on cars.com. The staff was incredibly nice. It was my first car buy from a dealer. Mike was my sales guy. He was incredible! Super helpful and driendly. No one there was pushy or rude. I left a few hours later with my new/used car. I've been driving it and abaolutely love it! They staff was honest and helpful. I came to Wilkins Mazda to look at the 2016 cx5. When arriving at the parking lot, Jeff immediately came to us to see if we needed any help. Jeff was extremely welcoming and friendly. He took us over to the Cx5 as we asked. He answered all questions that we had and never once made us feel pressured. We ended up deciding to buy the Cx5 and have been very happy with it. Since buying my vehicle I have had to call Jeff on a couple occasions regarding questions I had. Jeff has been nothing but attentive to me. He is a great salesman and attends to his customers well. He is knowledgeable about these cars and is extremely helpful with anything you ask. He wants nothing but for his customers to be happy and I can say that about this Mazda dealership in general. Great service and professionalism. If anyone is planning to come to Wilkins, ask for Jeff!

I have had our Mazda CX5 sport for almost a week and its so nice, comfortable, high tech androomy. Mike Myer's was our salesman and very knowledgeable about the car and no pressure, friendly. When Wilkins Mazda was having trouble hunting down the Mazda CX-5 that I wanted to lease (specific color, Sport package) sales associate Mike Myer went "old school" and checked every CX-5 on the lot. Might not sound like much but in these days of heavy reliance on computer info, it made a big difference to me. Because of him, I didn't have to settle for a color I didn't want or upgrade my package choice. Way to make it work, Mike! Thanks for my perfect car!!

I leased a 2016 Mazda6 Touring (absolutely love the car!). This is my third Mazda6, but first experience with leasing a vehicle. I did a good deal of research on the leasing process beforehand, and I can confidently say that Wilkins Mazda was more than fair--just the opposite of the stereotypical view of car salesmen. I walked in anticipating the need to defend myself from being taken advantage of, but I am happy to say I left feeling like everyone I dealt with was looking out for my best interests. The entire experience was pleasant from beginning to end. They were polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. I felt I received a fairly generous offer on my trade-in vehicle, and that I got a great deal on my new one. They only charged $250 over dealer invoice price. I highly recommend Wilkins Mazda, and will absolutely utilize them in the future if I get another Mazda.

She was so awesome in streamlining process and providing best quote available. Plus she will tell you if there are any incentives.Once you go in-person to test drive a car, ask for Phil. He has been in the business for 15+ years and really knows how to talk to you. He wasn't pushy as most salesmen are and he was very knowledgeable. Also, once you make a decision, they have a great finance team to make sure you get the lowest interest rate available. Today, I'm a happy buyer and now own a great car.

I stopped into Wilkins Mazda and had absolutely no idea what I wanted. Mike and Phil helped me along the way. After going to multiple dealerships in the area, Mazda's sales staff set itself apart from the rest. Getting a new car always has the potential of being very stressful, however that was not the case here! I was dead set on getting a manual transmission and even though the particular car I wanted was not on the lot, Mike got me the car I wanted within 24 hours. I can't even tell you how much I love my new car! I am so happy with my experience, my payment and my fully loaded Mazda 3. I have friends with Mazdas and I never knew why they were so obsessed with their cars, but now I understand! Thanks!!!!!Sara D.

Worked mainly with Mike Myers in the sales department and Glenn in the finance office. Test drove on a Saturday and, other than a courtesy call the following Monday, was left alone while testing other cars and making our decisions. They day we went in to buy, Mike sorted out detailed comparisons between option packages, etc., as well as letting us consider certified used vehicles of the same model. When we had to leave to take care of family errands, there was no pressure to stay and close. They let us go home and were confident we'd return to finish the next day, which we did. Upon returning, none of the numbers were fudged for the new car or our trade-in, and upsells were not forced. Mike even introduced some members of the service department. Glenn in the office explained all the extended and gap warranty items, but didn't push hard on any of it. As mentioned, this was our second consecutive Wilkins purchase. As long as Mazda keeps making cars we like, I see no reason not to return. Although, since they're good cars, it might not be for a few years :)

I am a Wilkins repeat customer and have bought and serviced several new cars there. I always get a good deal on trade-in and the best sales price. The sales team is no-pressure, very helpful and highly knowledgeable on their product line. I currently drive a Mazda6 and love it. I first did research on Wilkins website viewing models, features, options and inventory, so I knew what I wanted when I entered the showroom. The test drive sold me! Financing was quick and easy. I was out the door, driving my new car home in two hours. Now I schedule my routine maintenance online... so convenient. Their technicians are the best in the business.

Take Erika's detailed and positive review, don't change a word except to substitute Maria Vesey, my sales rep, for the ones Erika dealt with. Maria was a real pleasure to work with. She was confidently nonchalant, meaning she displayed none of the characteristics of a "hard sell" salesperson. At the appropriate time in the process I disclosed to her that I had a BK and an active foreclosure and tax liens in my credit history, but I needed to replace a 14 year old car with 200,000 miles that would not survive the this coming winter. I wasn't sure I could even qualify for a car lease at a decent money rate. But Maria quoted me a deal for a three year lease on a 2016 CX-3 with a money rate that was very, very good in comparison to what I had been quoted by other dealerships (more than 2% less in one case) and a money rate that, based on my research, was given people with better credit than mine. So when she left her desk to have my credit run and get a lease finance company to approve the deal, I was expecting her to come back and say I had been rejected at the quoted rate and that I would only qualify if I paid a higher money rate. But true to her word she came back a few minutes later with approval for the money rate and deal she had offered. I should also mention that my original contact with Wilkins was through its website to ask for an internet quote. Kelly [can't remember her last name] responded within a couple of hours with exactly the information I asked for. I had contacted other dealerships' internet sales departments and had been disappointed with their nebulous responses. One dealership did not reply at all, even though I was very specific about the features on a CX-3 that I wanted.So on all counts, I'm very happy with the deal and my experience at Wilkins. As for the CX-3, it's a really great car and fun to drive and very agile.

First time ever in my life that I have truly enjoyed buying a car. From the moment I walked in until the moment I drove away with my new car, I felt relaxed, no pressure, and comfortable. This place has a wonderful business model that stays true to a family owned mom and pop shop. This is not a high volume place that only cares about making sales and meeting quotas. Beyond refreshing. As a woman, car dealerships always seem like I am walking into a time warp back to the 1950's as far as women's rights and equality. The only thing old school about this place is their tradition of excellent customer service. Everything else is no doubt 21st century. Andy Moujouros was the salesperson that assisted me. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is genuine, authentic, and really cared about what I needed. He did not waste one second of my time. I was very direct and straight forward with him and rather than try to "handle me", he went and brought over his sales manager, Rich Sughero, so we could talk numbers. Andy actually appreciated that I knew what I wanted. He found the vehicle with the features I needed and then made it so I could directly negotiate the numbers with Rich. There was no high pressure haggling or uncomfortable sales tactics at all. Rich was down to earth and very easy to deal with. He did not waste my time either. In less than an hour we had picked out the car that meet my needs, agreed on a price, and taken a test drive. I went to lunch (Andy suggested a great place.) and when I came back, all the paperwork was done and ready for me to sign. Incredible. The finance person, Glen, was very pleasant. Again, no pressure sales on his part for warranties or extras I likely wouldn't need. He made a couple of suggestions that were informative and helpful. The decision was mine to choose if I wanted an extras. Andy spent an ample amount of time explaining all the features of the car. He made sure I was comfortable with everything. He was quick to let me know that if I ever have any questions I can always call him or stop in. He also introduced me to the service department and made sure my first oil change was already scheduled for me.The Wilkins team is an exceptional bunch all around. Will I be going back? You better believe it! I highly recommend Wilkins Mazda Hyundai. Make sure you ask for Andy! The man knows cars and people. Zoom, zoom, zoom!Thank you Wilkins.

I'm a Chinese, not a native speaker. So after have a test drive there. I negotiate the deal with Jim via email. After we got a agreement in email. I go to their office and signed the document in last Saturday(they give you the car on the price base the agreement in the email,no more any other negotiation needed. only spend about one hour to go though the paper work. I read every document so carefully but there is no tricky. thanks a lot). I tried to shopping around before i signed the document. but there is no other dealer can bid their price.(match? yes, but can't bid the price. so I decide to give my deal to them because of my good experience.)So overall, it is a good experience. Jim is a good person.

We happen to stop at Wilkins to look at a 2008 mazda 3, as my son had a job interview down the street from the dealership. We were fortunate enough to have Vito take care of us and he was awesome! He greeted us immediately and got the keys and took it for a ride. This was a car for my son and he urged me to write this review, as he was impressed with the service given by Vito. Even after we bought the car, a headlight went out and we didn't have floor mats. Vito immediately - within 24hrs had nick come in and fixed the headlight and ordered him mats. Greeting my son when he pulled in to ensure he found the servie area ok.This was a great learning experience for my son purchasing a vehicle. Vito was more then fair on price and his post purchase service is what was the catalyst for this review. I work in business and service like this is why people return and recommend people. I already gave Vito's info to a neighbor and my brother is looking for a new vehicle to and recommended Wilkins and Vito.Thanks for a great experience..Bill

When my husband and I entered the showroom, we were immediately greeted by Sarge. I was looking for a pre-owned vehicle, and Sarge addressed me regarding what I wanted (vs other dealerships that would focus on my husband.) I truly appreciated Sarge's sales skills. He is a kind man and great person - not a pushy sales consultant. Sarge is a wonderful asset to Wilkins Hyundai Mazda!Tom Baullen patiently worked with us to make the numbers work in our favor! He didn't just see us as another deal, but as valued customers. I appreciated that he took his time with us and didn't just try to get us in and out in a hurry. He understood that keeping us as lifelong customers was the priority.Something that was completely above and beyond had to do with a sticker on the back window of my trade in. I just figured I would lose it. However, Nick, one of the porters, was able to remove the sticker and put in on my new vehicle. I really appreciated his service!I would highly recommend Wilkins!

I found myself in a tough spot with having to buy a new car in a hurry. From the moment I entered the showroom door, I was greeted by aVery personable, knowledgable salesman by the name of Sarge. He was very kind, patient and sympathetic to my situation and did his very best to find me a car in my price comfort zone and without having to give up options that I had become accustom to in my previous car.I have purchased about 5 cars in my life so far and this experience has been the absolute best. Sarge made me feel very comfortable with my decision and worked hard to see that I was happy. I just had my 3 month oil change on the car and the service department is top notch as well. I called ahead to see if I could get in same day and within an hour I was in the service bay and greeted promptly and out within about thirty minutes. No hassles...who could argue with that! This is my first car, So I ultimately had high expectations from customer service to price. needless to say ,THEY MET EVERY EXPECTATION. I would recommend the blind to them, They're just that good!!. I purchased a Volks Wagen beetle convertible from them . I also checked out other cars as well they take great care of their new cars and especially their used cars. This dealership is the only one I will EVER go to!! :-)

My experience at Wilkins Hyundai-Mazda, was amazing! Sarge Sakinovic was my sales man, he was attentive, friendly, real, & made me never want to go to any dealer besides Wilkins in Elmhurst. Every question I had he answered me with genuine honesty. Once I explained my situation to him & exactly what I was looking for, Sarge focused on helping me find what I asked for. I love that he didn't act like a slimy sales man at a dealership (every other experience I've had with dealers have been so scripted, fake & I've been talked down to) Sarge took the time to learn my personality & still very professional he sold my car to me. When it came to financing Rich Sughero handled all the paper work & helped me get a low rate. I was very pleased with how efficient he was. Both Rich & Sarge worked well as a team to ensure my happiness. Rich was so easy to work with, talking about my finances wasn't uncomfortable. He too made my experience great, together Rich & Sarge changed my view on car dealers. I will be spreading the word to anyone I know looking for a new car. I went into the dealer with many questions and a tight budget. Sarge was extremely helpful. He answered all of my questions, expressed genuine interest in my wants and needs, and worked with me to find the perfect car at the perfect price. I've been buying cars for years now and my experience at Wilken's hands down has been the best! I went there looking for a car for my mother and I actually bought myself one too. I was in the market and after I saw the quick hassel free experience I had with my moms car i decided to take a look for myself. Wilkens runs a very clean process at the dealership, with test driving cars for two people going through the loan process and and being there on a busy Saturday afternoon we were in and out of there in 3.5 hours. I would recommend Wilkens Mazda in Elmhurst to anyone and make sure you ask for Joe Lipira he was the best car salesman I have ever worked with.

I came into Wilkins Mazda looking for a good car to use for school and work. Sarge attended us as soon as we got there. This is by far the WORST car dealer Ive ever gone to. I bought my first car from Larry Roesch in Elmhurst. I bought a Mazda 6 from them, right after noticed a burnt out daytime running light. I brought it to their attention and they said to take it to a Mazda dealer and they would reimburse me for it to be replaced. That is how I found Wilkins. I took my Mazda 6 there for that reason. They were nice and I had a relatively good experience with service. In July I received a letter from Wilkins asking me for my Mazda 6 as they had a very high demand for my car and if I traded in I would receive 0% financing on another Mazda. We looked at and test drove a 2013 Mazda CX-5. We liked it during the test drive. We purchased the car WITHOUT 0% financing b/c Vito, our sales man, forgot about it. Okay, out mistake for not pointing it out before papers were signed. My husband called the day after we purchased the car and asked about a set of rain guards for it. Vito told us whatever they were sold for in parts is what we could purchase them for. Are you kidding me?? We just spent $25,000 on a car and you wont even give us the rain guards at your cost?? Well we were definitely put off by that. We hit about 1,500 miles and the car started jerking when driving a slow speed. My husband called a few Mazda dealers around our house and we were told this is NORMAL!! And in fact when the car was delivered to the dealers they were sent a letter stating that when driving at a slow speed it would feel like you were being rear ended and Mazda was aware of this!! Would have been nice to know this before we bought the car b/c then we probably would have opted for something without the Skyactiv engine as we have a child who is always in the back seat. There were even times when I was driving home from work and I would get car sick. We called Vito approximately two weeks after purchasing the car and said we werent happy with it and he told us, Well too bad, you bought it, it is yours. We had the car less than two months and traded it in at a DIFFERENT dealer and got a Ford F-350 from an awesome sales man at Haggerty Ford in West Chicago. When I purchased the CX-5 I purchased the gap insurance. When I purchased the F-350 I was told I could cancel the gap insurance and get some money back. I called Wilkins to see who I needed to talk to and I was told someone in finance. So I go there one evening. I had to leave work early to do this and was told I need an appointment which I was NOT told when I called to find out what I needed to do. So I asked if I could make an appointment and was told no. They took my name and number and was told I would be called by someone in finance. Two days went by and nothing. I called the next day and said Id be in in 1 hour and was told I could not come into cancel b/c it was a Saturday and it was closed. Im sorry but the dealer was open, you can purchase cars on Saturday so how is the finance office closed?? They tell me to come in during the week I told them that I work all day and can only do it Saturday b/c I am not taking off work again. I was told well we are open 9am-9pm. Im sorry I work 9am-9pm, thus Id have to take off work. Okay so I take off work. I call in the morning to make an appointment and was told BY THE SAME PERSON who told me I NEED an appointment that I DONT NEED an appointment. So I get there and try and cancel this stuff. They tell me I need a paper that I was never told I needed to bring!! I asked to receive a call when my paperwork would be sent to be cancelled. Its been four days and nothing!I will NEVER return to this dealer. When I need to purchase a new car I will either go to Larry Roesch or Haggerty! I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND WILKINS!!! They will scam you and rip you off!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!!!

We came in and bert was the one who helped us . He let us look at the car we liked we drove it on the highway,and it was a very good car .i liked the car very much he helped us get credit and we bought the car. Very good car dealer i have came to.thank you for your help .

Everyone at the dealership was pleasant and willing to help. There were three Mazda CX5's on the lot, but not in the color I was looking to buy. Rather than pushing me towards leaving with one of them, the owner Tom Wilkins gladly called to get a shipment of the car in the color I wanted. Tom also confronted me and asked if I had any questions about my car before purchasing it and went through everything it had to offer. I am away at college, and Phil Hobson took the time to search for a Mazda dealership near my school to utilize if I ever have a problem and cannot make it back to Wilkins Buick Mazda. I would definitely recommend this dealership!

I worked with Peter Denbroeder who was pleasant enough, but I have to say that I'm glad I didn't buy from him based on reading other reviews. However, my review is that I put down a $500 deposit on a Mazda that needed to be transported from another dealership. I ended up talking to another dealer and getting a MUCH better deal (and way better customer service) than what Pete had offered me. I immediately called Pete and told him to reverse the charges on my card, that we would not be taking the Mazda from him. Well, now it's a month later, I got my credit card bill and found that he had not reversed the $500 charge and is seemingly refusing to speak to me regarding the matter. I talked to the finance manager who told me that only Pete could take care of it - you can imagine the instant rage, I'm sure. Never, never, never do business with these people! If they can't handle something as simple as reversing a charge, how can they handle the sale of a vehicle??I ended up going to Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove and received excellent customer service and got a great deal on a new Mazda3!
