Our 2013 Subaru Outback had a minor recall item and we brought it in for replacement. The work was done promptly and it was ready before it was promised! WE were so pleased, we contacted our salesman who had sold us the car and proceeded to purchase a new 2017 from the same dealership. WE like it here and we have to drive 65 miles just to get to Yark Subaru.. It is well worth it.

I took my car in Saturday, September 3rd for an oil & filter change and a complete inspection of the vehicle. As usual they did a top notch job. They found that one of my break lights was out and took care of that which I didn't realize it was out. My car even got washed and it looked fantastic! I always receive excellent customer service! My daughter and I were looking for a safe, low-mileage car for her to use at school and were very interested in an Impreza. Based on some less than great experiences at the Subaru dealer in Ann Arbor and some great reviews of Mia Knicely at Yark Subaru in Sylvania, we made the 40 mile drive to deal with her. It was a great decision despite the distance. Mia is pleasant, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. The actual vehicle we drove down there for turned out not to be the right one, but Mia worked with us to find something better suited to my daughter and made us a very fair deal on it.I will not hesitate to buy from Mia and Yark again. it was a terrific experience all the way around.

When my husband finally decided on a car; we contacted the two dealerships of whose names were provided by the 1-800 Costco line; we chose Yark Automotive in Toledo, Ohio. Toledo is a 2 1/2 hour drive from our home; it was worth it!!It all started with Mia Knicely responding to my original email requesting information about a Subaru Outback or Forrester; she provided information on different options and when I presented the information to my husband, he decided to wait a little longer. I contacted Mia with this information, she was very understanding and said it was no problem and to contact us when he was ready.It took 4-6 weeks for him to make up his mind but once he did, I contacted Mia again and requested information on a Forester. She sent me two Foresters that she felt were good options for us and almost immediately, I received a second email and she offered an absolutely amazing deal on a brand new 2016!We have been very pleased with Yark Subaru in Toledo, Ohio!! We have already referred our best friends to Yark Subaru AND Mia of course!On a scale of 1 - 10, with ten being the highest/best rating, Yark and Mia would receive a 10!! I normally never bring my vehicles back to a dealership repair. This time it was different. I had 2 safety recalls and a number of concerns as to the health of my 12 year old impreza outback. Dustin was great. He listened to my concerns in a courteous and professional manner. Service technicians thoroughly inspected my car and noted necessary repairs. I got an accurate estimate but the final bill was actually less than quoted. Out baby is back in action an ready for another 144,000 miles!

I had an amazing experience buying the car and would send any of my friends to see Mia. She was very helpful. I don't think that I should have to have the car towed to the dealership because they don't want to complete warranty work. I was repeatedly fed lines that were completely not even a possibility such as suggesting that having the key with me while filling the gas tank causes the check engine light. Am I supposed to push my car to the gas station? Also lets say they did put a rock inside my door at the factory how is it that I have never heard a rattle? How does that cause a series of streaks and scratches on the window? In the market for the 2017 model I will not be back to Yark.

The service department at this dealer will give you one excuse after another in order to avoid warranty work. It took 3 visits and being towed in for them to admit there was a problem and they still haven't fixed all of my issues.

I had my oil changed and a 12,000 mile check up - Had an appt. for 8:30a.m. got there early and they did it right away no wait. I went to the waiting area there was coffee & water at NO cost to enjoy while my car was being serviced, plus a tv and some magazines to read but they were mostly for men not us ladies- lol. From the time I walked in the door to walk back out it was great service. Oh yes while I was waiting a salesman came over and chatted with me which was so nice also. In and out with-in a half hour can't complain at all.

Avoid this dealership and any other Yark dealership! They try to pass off vehicles that have been in accidents as certified one owner accident free vehicles. The vehicle that was sold to me had a lot of previous accident damage, The sunroof leaked, there was prior damage to the roof, hood,and along the entire passenger side. My local Subaru dealership brought this to my attention when I took it in for service due to the continously leaking sunroof! Yark Subaru refuses to take responsibility for this! Also as usual this review will probably get pulled like my last one, Way to censor your customers Yark!

My experience with Mia Knicely at Yark Subaru has been nothing short of spectacular. Starting from before I ever set foot in the dealership, Mia made sure all of my questions were answered. Since I was coming from out of state to purchase the car, and was busy at work most of the day, she gave me her cell number so she could help me out via text message. When I met with her at the dealership, her service was the absolute best I've experienced. She was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. After test driving the Subaru Legacy, she guided me through the entire purchase process, even if it wasn't her division (financing the auto loan etc...) and made sure everything was properly taken care of. Although the buying process took a little longer than expected, she refused to leave the dealership until everything was done. Mia stayed until 11:00pm that night, even though she wasn't directly working on anything for my vehicle at that point. She bent over backwards to ensure I was taken care of, and continues to do so with all of my other correspondences with the dealership including issuing my title to me. It's purely the customer service that I received from Mia alone that will keep me coming back to Yark Subaru. I could not be more impressed with how wonderful of a person she is to work with. Thank you Mia!

My husband had decided on the Outback because of all of the great reviews in Consumer Reports regarding safety, reliability and value retention. I was ready to buy my third Honda, but all of the safety features, options and smooth ride were swaying me to the Outback. The deciding factor was the product knowledge and attention we received from our sales person as well as the sales manager. My husband had some confirmed internet quotes from dealers outside Toledo and we were pleasantly surprised that Yark was able to match the price and we were able to buy local. We're very happy with the vehicle as well as the personal service we have received and we will receive in the future. We haven't bought a vehicle from Yark for quite some time, but we're very glad we did this time.

Mia sold me my first Forester 2012. She is a great asset to Yark. Answers all questions with a smile.So it makes sense she sold me my second Forester. I think this dealership (Yark) is top of the linein customer service. I have never had a bad experience and they are very accommodating. I have people ask how I like my Subaru and I tell them to go to Yark and test drive. Now lastly I live in Oregon Oh so it's not like this is a 10-15 min drive. But I appreciate their helpfulness so it's worthit for straight answers and great service.

I bought a Subaru because of its dependability and safety record. It also had the electronic safety features which were important to keep my driving safe as I age. However, if I had any doubts, the service department at this facility has erased them. We continue to have one relatively small unresolved issue with the vehicle but that is not due to any lack of effort on the part of the service department. They have far exceeded my expectations at responding to my concerns.

2007 Forester in for a full synthetic oil change and safety inspection, 76K miles. Mechanic found lower driver's side ball joint wear / run-out. Nick took me out to the vehicle on the lift to show me the issue. Explained in detail. Needs to be done, but not immediately. Very honest.

I had a good salesman that was friendly, did not seem to be pushy for a sale, but could have done a better job of telling me all the options on the Legacy I bought. When he wasn't in, another salesman stepped right in to speed up my test drive which I liked. My salesman did try to push the additional warranty before I made it to the finance manager, but did not give me any details. I decided to purchase a Subaru Legacy that was marked down for a sales event. While dealing with finance manager, computer system crashed and this was longest wait of any previous car purchases to get it fixed. Finance manager was professional, but continued to push add on warranty in which he tried to limit coverage to only one part of the four options I was originally advised of (shady). I agreed at first until I did some research, then I contacted Yark to cancel. The finance manager was in no hurry to get me the cancellation notice and I think he was avoiding my calls until I contacted General Manager and I finally got an email 24 hours after it was suppose to be emailed to me. This is my first Subaru, overall happy with price, but Yark could use some improvement in professional customer service for customer's that are not local to their business location.

After talking to MIa, a friend and I drove 3+ hours to this dealership to check out a used car. Went through all the normal process, negotiated, and came to an agreed upon fair price. Mia was excellent the entire time. I've dealt with many, many terrible long-distance salespeople, and she is by far the best. There was only 1 key for my VW when I bought it. They're $300+ EACH. Two weeks after the deal was done, I got a call from Mia telling me that she followed up with the previous owner and got the other 2 keys. She had nothing to gain from this, just being an excellent person. Highly recommended.

You can take this review with a grain of salt since I bought a 8 year old Subaru Forester from Yark Subaru, BUT it was a 1 owner car, and had always been serviced at Yark Subaru, from where it was purchased from, giving me the thought that any problem would have been taken car of by Yark's own service department. Given the price they had it listed for, and the complete inability to negotiate on the price at all on a used car, (per the privately owned software developed by Yark) I figured I was getting a "great car" as Scott continually said during the car buying process. It has now been 4 months, 3,000 miles and a winter of testing to collude the results of my review. I'll list all of the problems that I ran into during that time. -Dome lights burned out -Cabin air filter, full of debris -Battery replaced -Oil leaking (tightened oil filter and resolved problem for 2 weeks) -Condensation in headlight -New bulb for transmission selector -Water leaking into cabin form sunroof. headliner taken down, new sealant placed between rails and drain tubes temporarily fixed this issue. Still a persist problem. 2 inches of water found in spare tire pit. -Exhaust gaskets blew out, replaced. -Rubber tire trim from rear passenger tire wrapped around axle -Front passenger window scratches and rolls very slowly -Rubber air gasket around drivers door very loud at highway speeds. -Brake squeak from passenger rear tire on highway. -Oil leak again, gaskets replaced between the filter and the oil cooler replaced. Solved the issue for now. The engine was 1.5 quarts low on oil. All of these issues came before the first 3,000 miles of driving. With a dealership that prides themselves on their service department, and a car that lived it's life at said dealership, how were all of these issues not fixed prior to purchase. All of the above fixes cost $478.27. The claimed to have put over $2,500 in parts and labor before I bought the car. They did offer me a warranty at the time of purchase though, for a whole 500 miles and. I live over 100 miles from the dealership. needless to say, unless the engine dropped out of the car on the first drive home, the warranty was a waste of paper. Never again will I buy a car from any of the Yark dealerships, nor recommend them to anyone. I understand used cars are a completely different market than new, but they marketed this car as a golden egg; a 1 owner car bought and serviced at hark by a little old retired lady. Save yourself the money and buy from a private party who will negotiate the price to something it's worth. I bought this car to replace a perfectly running 150,000 mile truck for the gas mileage improvements. Any cost savings from that have been placed back into the vehicle in repairs. The only follow up call about my satisfaction with the car only came on an accounting error. My 7.25% county sales tax was equated at 7%, so they had the audacity to ask me to pay the remaining balance on their mistake. No major repairs, just a lot of hassle for things that should have been fixed prior to sale.

This was my first long distance vehicle purchase. My sales person was Mia Knicely. She was very helpful in assisting me with the process over the phone, and she gave me multiple ways of contacting her even if I needed to after hours. The vehicle I purchased was described accurately and I had no unpleasant surprises upon arrival. After buying the car she even called to make sure I had a safe trip back home. I have only taken my Subaru Forrester in for routine maintainance and for one warranty covered issue, but every time the service center is right on time, ready for me. the waiting area caters to the customer with plenty of seating, TV, current newspapers, magazines, coffee/water and often the sales staff interact with you while you wait. The wait is quick and comfortable and friendly. Mostly I have dealt with Angie, but the service department never lets you leave with concerns or questions. I never feel rushed to get out and my car always feels like the car I want when I leave!

I recently purchased a Subrau Forester for the first time. After not purchasing a car in 15 years I was rather intimidated as a female alone. Up till Yark it had not been a very pleasant experience. But coming to Yark Subrau was the best decision. I didn't know anything about Subrau - I was on the Honda lot next door and they had one that had been a trade in. So that's how I ended up coming next door to Yark. Other car salesmen from other lots were constantly calling me at home to push me how they can get me into one of their cars. I told them I was taking my time and was still in the process of finding a SUV that I was comfortable. My saleman was Kevin Oberhaus and he made my experience and car buying process much easier. He was an excellent saleman with a great personality and was very professional. Kevin was very helpful informaning me about the Forester and gave me the space I needed to make my decision. Everyone at Yark were very helpful and welcoming. I would recommend Yark and expecially Kevin Oberhaus very highly.

While traveling on summer vacation, my family decided to take advantage of Ohio car deals and sought out Subaru dealers not too far from southern Michigan, where we were staying. Yark had an impressive selection of new and used Forester models, what we were looking for. When I called I was able to speak directly with Mark Thomas, with whom I met later than day and with whose help I bought a 2011 Forester that evening! Mark was friendly, polite, helpful, and truly a nice person to spend time with. He answered all of my questions and yet was never pushy. Both Mark and our finance person, Justin, stayed late that evening to finish the sale because they knew I was traveling from an hour away. When we returned home and had a few more paperwork details to finish, Justin was prompt, friendly and helpful in getting us all set. I stopped by Yark Subaru with a friend (also looking at cars) because it was next to the lot we were already parked at and figured that we might as well look before moving down Central Ave. I had no previous intention of buying a Subaru. Kevin greeted us immediately and sat down with us before we even went to the lot - he wanted to know what we were looking for so we could spend more time on vehicles we were really interested in rather than wandering around. He was very much a no-pressure salesman; he let the safety, reliability and value of the cars speak for themselves. After seeing/learning about/test-driving the vehicle, I was very happy (with a vehicle that hadn't even been on my radar). When I said that I still had a couple other vehicles I wanted to check out, his response was, "I would love to sell you a car today, but my main goal is that you're happy with your choice - take your time, test-drive other cars, make sure you are comfortable with your decision - if it is a Subaru, that's great - if not, as long as you are happy, that is what matters". The best part is - you could tell he really meant it. I didn't get that experience from other salesmen at other places. I came back the next morning and test-drove the vehicle again (no complaints or "ugh - why is she back if she isn't buying today" that you get at other places). When I came back the next day to buy the vehicle, Kevin made the process seamless. He was an advocate for me with my trade-in (I got a fair price in the end) and helped transition me to the finance department. I've read in other comments about how the price of the vehicle ended up being so much more than expected - here is my response - all of the costs are explained up front and in great detail - there is no pressure to get an extended warranty or gap insurance or other services - you know exactly what you are paying for before you sign (and what you are paying extra for is completely up to you with absolutely no pressure). There are NO surprises when it comes to the cost - and again - you know everything before you sign. Overall, this was the best car buying experience I've had and would (and already have) recommended Kevin (and Yark) to my friends. Happy car shopping!

We went to Yark Subaru last weekend after I talked with a salesman on the phone. I told him that I was going to sell my car independently, but he talked me into bringing it in for appraisal because of their "great ability to offer more than other dealerships on trade-ins." So we drove there and waited 45 minutes to talk to someone. We finally left and returned the next day. The offer that they made for my current car was ridiculously low, as I expected. We test drove a new car, made a decision to purchase it, started the paperwork and I was in the processe of finalizing the financing when a manager came out and apologized that the car I was purchasing was already sold. There were no others that met my needs. We wasted over 2 hours buying a car that was already sold. Nice. Then, to top it all off, I keep getting auto-generated emails thanking me for stopping in to look at cars and reminding me to stop back soon. I used the link to discontinue the emails, but they continued. Grrrrrrr... An email apologizing for the screw-up would have been okay, but the happy, don't-you-just-love-Yark_Subaru emails made me even angrier with the situation. Once I made the decision and was sold on the 1.9% interest rate and Labor Day sale (couple thousand dollar discount), I was ready to drive it home (as the salesman had teased earlier when I told him that I was just starting to look). I kind of like GMC too, so that might be my next purchase.

I went into the dealership to purchase a used vehicle that was advertised on Autotrader.com by Yark Subaru. The online price was just below $24,000, by the time I had signed the contract, the total price of the vehicle financed was $36.000. I have A1 credit, and the vehicle was suppose to be a certified pre-owned vehicle. I feel like a chump for signing that contract. They charge you for everything including almost $2,000 for the privilege of it being a CPO vehicle. I was charged almost $700 for the extended maintenance program, and also $1,000 for gap insurance, something I have never needed. They use their friendliness as smoke and mirrors to hike up of the price of the vehicle, now my only recourse is to trade the vehicle in at a dealership and eat the difference. I'm going to cancel the extended maintenance contract since that is allowed and recoup some of my money, but the balance left after the trade in I will have to pay that amount up front so that I,m not stuck with a ridiculous car payment. I thought that I was done leasing vehicles, but after truly thinking about it, it,s so much easier. Take my advice, if you have a good dealership and a good salesman, stick with them, but whatever you do, stay away from Yark Subaru at all costs, they are a dealership full of swindlers. I would also like to add that a certified pre-owned vehicle should not have parts fitting loosely with screws missing, should not have a loose headlight with tops of screws broken off, should not have a front bumper with multiple plastic fasteners missing that secure it to the vehicle, and should not have a sunroof that when fully closed, leaks water into the vehicle soaking the headliner and leaving watermarks after it dries. The 152 point inspection is clearly worthless. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this dealer.

Test drive experience was great, he answered all my questions and he was polite and friendly. So if you are interested in test driving a certain car or two, this is a good place to start. After thinking about the car for a few days and the fact that he said the dealer didn't do game playing with its customers , I emailed requesting his best out the door price. I was quoted an unexpectedly high price and when I asked for specifics I wasn't provided with a breakdown-- told overall car price, price of floor mats and wasn't permitted to see the invoice. When I asked about a lower price I was told to get a price quote from another dealer and to bring in it and he would see if his manager would match it. Why would a salesman at dealer A tell you to go to dealer B and get a better price and then come back to dealer and try to get the same (better) price offered at B ? I talked with male coworkers at work who had all recently purchased cars and they said his response was a bargaining device and that no one would pay that high of a price based upon the car's list price. They thought I was being treated this way because of being a woman. At their suggestion The new 2015 were in and the dealer had many 2014s on the lot so it would seem like they would want to sell them. I decided to try again suggesting the price that was the fair market price for the car in this area. Got no response. I have no issues in terms of credit problems, insurance problems and was ready to go back to the dealership and write them a check for the car. It was almost like this dealership didn't want my business. Also, the recall information came out after I had moved on to another car so it had no impact on my decision not to buy the car. In the end, you go to a car dealership to get a fair price on a car. Even if the test drive experience is great and the salesman is nice if the price isn't fair then the dealership hasn't provided a good experience. .

As a satisfied owner of a 2006 Outback, I was already predisposed to Subaru and the quality of the product. It is no accident, that the current branding narrative includes a Labrador. Truly owning a Subaru is like hanging with your best canine friend. You really don't care about impressing the outside world when you are a Subaru owner. The inner satisfaction tends to be a stronger driver, at least that is the way it is for me. At Yark, we found folks who danced at our pace. First, we walked into the showroom on a crowded weekend afternoon. We poked around a few of the cars on the showroom floor, and knowing that this probably is not the best time to get undivided attention, we went down the Blvd of cars to look at some of the others on my list. I was not intending to test drive this day anyway. Just look-see and feel if any of the cars on my list, fit. Back at Subaru a few days later, we were introduced to Mia Knicely, who also handles the internet sales. Mia connected with both my wife and I and showed us a few of the cars that seemingly would fit our needs. We talked engine, interior, safety, functionality, and driving styles. Both my wife and I test drove the Outback and put it through a series of driving scenarios. Since this was the end of the day, we set up a meeting for the next morning to discuss a deal. Again, smart move, for our buying style. We had time to talk, agree that this was what we wanted, and time to clean up the 06 and get it ready for a trade in. Next day was painless. Mia introduced us to Justin, the F&I manager, a time in the buying process that I generally hate. This worked out fine, and since I had an idea of what extras I wanted, I felt comfortable with the package we bought. Car feels great and fits us perfectly. Thank you all for a great buying experience.

I found the customer "service" tedious, even though I recognize they're doing everything they're supposed to be doing by most standards. I'd already told them why I was bringing the car in, but they acted as if the situation were otherwise. Despite having a scheduled appointment, I was there for roughly three hours due to (1) them taking the car in late, (2) a complimentary inspection that I didn't request, and (3) a delay in doing the work I'd scheduled while they asked me about fixing things discovered in the inspection. It didn't help that I had two small children with me. Here's the worst part: I was there for a seat belt replacement. Apparently, they didn't bother to test the new equipment they installed because one of the two new replacement buckles is inoperable, which is what I had scheduled to be fixed in the first place.

I leased a 2011 Subaru Legacy back in 11' and was happy with Yark Subaru and Mia Knicely who assisted me. I returned in May 2014 when my lease was up and was again assisted by Mia and she was again helpful. I went with the 2014 Subaru Legacy as a purchase this time, sadly, the 2015 model was not out yet. My overall experience with the first Subaru I owned was pretty positive. This time I got rims instead of hubcaps, I think I lost a total of 4 in the 3 years I had the vehicle. I also went with a dark interior instead of a light one, with kids and a dog, light interiors do not work. Overall in the snow, the vehicle did great, only got stuck twice in three years, even though in the last three years, this year was the worst in terms of the amount of snow that fell in Michigan. I felt that the vehicle could churn through the snow pretty smoothly and felt safe and comfortable.

Steve Shenefield was the Yark Subaru Sales Associate who worked with us on our purchase of a Tribeca. He did an awesome job working with us and making it easier for my fiance, who is disabled. I really like this place. The people are great to work with and really go out of their way to take care of you, however... I purchased a Certified Used Subaru and was told numerous times about their 152 pt. inspection. The vehicle was exactly the model and what I wanted and had been looking for one for months. I wanted it but was on the fence about another car elsewhere. I spoke to Mark and told him my concerns about the car and thought they were going to be addressed. I told him I had to think about it due to the problems such as trunk liner falling out, blown speakers, bumper missing clips, noise in the front left tire and trunk didn't like up correctly to close. Mark said he would have it checked out. I received a few calls about if I was coming back in and when. When I finally returned none of those issues were corrected on the vehicle. Steve had been my wife's sales person and took over. We discussed the problems and agreed on a deal but unfortunately forgot to mention the speakers again after talking to 2 different sales persons and being in a bit of a hurry when I came in to buy. I had checked the Carfax and knew this was a 2 owner car and had been in a minor rear end collision. The sticker in the window said it was a certified single owner car. When I took delivery of the car it looked great and smelled of new Armor All. We agreed that I could bring the car back in a couple of days to get the final things mentioned repaired and I took the car home. When I arrived home late that night I noticed an odd smell in the car. The armor all had been masking the scent of vomit and alcohol that was stained and present all down the side of the driver's seat between the center console and some on the passenger seat. Assuming the car had been properly detailed based upon the amount of Armor All I did not notice this. The back seat smelled heavily of alcohol and after further inspection I found more vomit between the back seat cushions. I contacted Steve and he said he would look into it once I came in for the repair work. When I dropped off the car Steve was genuinely upset and embarrassed by this. I was given a loaner car while they repair the details made in the deal and clean it up. I also mentioned that in our haste, we had forgotten the problem with the speakers and asked if that was something that could be taken care of. Steve said that he saw in Marks notes that I had asked about it and would check but would not promise anything. I am still waiting to see the final result. I like this place and the people that work there. They are quick to help and seem to really want to take care of you. This incident has shaken my opinion of the place but I am waiting to hold judgment until after I get my car back. Mistakes happen. It is how they are resolved that will form my final opinion of this organization.Update. It's been 3 days and I went to get my car. It was clean but still smells of vomit and alcohol. They are going to get it ozone cleaned and filled the tank on my loaner car. I will update again once I see it again on Monday.Update as of April 30th. I picked up the car to find that it still smells slightly of the Ozone cleaning. It was very clean inside though. The trunk closes properly most of the time but you can still tell it is out of alignment slightly. The speakers they said they replaced were in fact not replaced and still crackle. I was told it was all repaired before I went in there. After a few days I have found that the 2 rear door speakers and subwoofer in the back deck keep cutting out intermittently. This is after they were supposed to replace the front right blown door speakers. Also after a few days the Ozone smell wore off and the car still doesnt smell right. It doesnt exactly smell like vomit but there is an odd smell still present. I recognize it as vomit and alcohol because I was present during this entire situation. My friend said it just smells bad in there but cannot identify it.When I returned to show them the speakers were not working in the rear after the repair I had the fader turned all the way to the front because this was the only way I could get sound. I demonstrated the problem for the salesperson by putting on some music and turning the fader from front to back and he was able to verify the problem. I agreed to return on Friday to have the service guys look at it.When I returned on Friday they took the car into the service area. After about 15 minutes they brought me in the back again and proceeded to give me a demonstration as to how the fader works. This was infuriating enough but was even worse when the service tech informed me that if I wanted good sound out of the system I should just replace it all with aftermarket stuff. I agreed to whatever he said and got out of there. At this point I would just rather take care of this problem myself.The dealer has contacted me asking for another chance to rectify all of these problems. I declined. I consider this a lesson learned with a daily smelly reminder. I am confident the smell will be gone by the end of summer and I Febreeze the car each night and have a decent air freshener that masks it. It is just that first sit-down in the car in the a.m. that is the reminder.I will no longer trust the certified label from Yark and have zero faith in their 152 point inspection. I really like the salespersons that my wife and I have dealt with on more than one occasion. But if you are getting service work there, be careful!

First off, the used cars at this dealership are extremely over priced. Additionally, they will not even negotiate at ALL. The car I was looking at is nearly 25% over the market value. Also, I had my mechanic inspect the car and there was $2,500 dollars worth of repairs needed. To make things worse the sales associate was very rude. Overall, I was very disappointed in this dealership.

We had been looking for a used Subaru but the ones in our price range all had over 100k on them. We saw a 2006 Impreza at Yark with 209k on it and just out of curiosity decided to drive it to see how a very high mileage Subaru ran. The vehicle was very well serviced with filters, fluids, belts and new tires and was spotless inside and out. We were so impressed we bought it. After a month of ownership we are still very impressed with the quality of this vehicle. The salesman we worked with ,Mark Thomas never used pressure to close the deal. We also work with Justin Sparks and this was a pleasant experience again with no pressure. Overall a very good experience and we highly recommend Yark Subaru !

We hand an accident with our 2012 Subaru and it was in the Yark body shop. It was taking weeks to get the needed parts (not happy about that), so we thought "what the heck lets see what we can get for a trade". I was pleasantly surprised. The offer was very good and we subsequently traded it for a new 2014 model that they also gave us a good deal on. This was the best car buying experience I have had. My wife bought a new Subaru Forester and I bought a used Subaru Legacy. What a great car buying experience for both my wife and I. Our salesman Mark Thomas was an awesome guy and really helped us out throughout the whole process. He was never pushy and never tried to pressure us into any deal that we weren't comfortable with. Everyone that we were in contact with from Mark to Blaine to Justin were all very friendly and made us feel completely comfortable with everything. It was our first time shopping for a new car. We did our online review and decided to test drive a Subaru. Right when we arrived Scott came out to greet us. Very polite and relaxed. The whole process was amazing. We drove 300 miles to get our Baja. We found just what we wanted online and drove up to get it. They emailed, called and even shot us a video to let us see how nice our Baja was. After commenting how high our local banks were on financing (we have a perfect credit score), they found us a loan for half the rate we had been quoted. Thank you!!!!!!!

I had been looking for a Forester for several weeks when I came across Yark Subaru. They had exactly what I was looking for and their prices were very reasonable compared to other dealerships. I spoke with Mark over the phone. He was extremely helpful and friendly. It was a 2 hour drive for me to get there, but Mark made it worth the drive. I have been buying cars for over 35 years and today's lease of a 2014 Legacy was the easiest and most pleasant car leasing/buying experience I have ever had! Kevin was my salesperson and is extremely knowledgeable about the Subaru product line. He was quickly able to guide me to the model that had the features I wanted. In under 2 hours I had my test drive and signed my papers; the staff worked very hard so I could make an appointment I had previously scheduled. I picked up my car that same afternoon and Kevin took a lot of time making sure that I understood all of the functions of the car. If you want a great car, with good mileage, high reliability, excellent value for the money and excellent crash test results you must go to Yark Subaru. You will be happy you did. I bought a used Subaru Impreza from Mark Thomas on Saturday, Jan. 4. This was the very best car-buying experience I have ever had, and I've had quite a few during my lifetime. Mark was waiting for me when I arrived, he had the car I was interested in pulled up at the door, we took and drive and then he got to work on trade-in,, etc. Yark is a very pleasant place with super friendly people. It takes time to buy a car these days, with tons of papers to sign. The folks at Yark made that whole process smooth and easy. I can't recommend them highly enough -- they even fed me lunch! If you are looking for a car, go see these people first -- or visit their website -- it is well designed and easy to navigate.

Looking at an 08 forester that they priced about $4000 over retail. Asked why and was given no clear reason why. Very frustrating as I am ready to buy that model and would consider dealer retail pricing, however I will not overpay by 25%!

After a great experience at Yark Subaru, we would give the team 5's across the board. Mark Thomas was great to work with, answered our questions, and made the buying process a stress-free one. We took a couple of days to make the decision and were in communication via email over this time to answer additional questions that we had. Blaine Marston was also a great help in the process and was very friendly and welcoming to the dealership. Although we typically leased (4 times) Jeep SUV's from the Yark Jeep dealership, we decided to buy a used Jeep Commander this time around. If you are looking for a great place to not feel intimidated in the buying process, I would strongly recommend Yark Subaru. Also, the financing was a speedy process with Justin Sparks, who also answered any questions that we had and guided us along the way. This is definitely a great staff. Keep up the great work.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership. I've been looking at cars for some time now and I've decided between a 2010 civic or a 2010 Subaru. My boyfriend currently drives a Subaru (which he bought from this dealer) so I took his advice and we went there. As soon as we got there, I wasn't able to test drive. I've never had a dealership refuse to let me test drive. (They didn't even ask me for my license or proof of insurance, it was just a no.) He then proceeded to try to get me to fill out a credit app before I even looked at the car. Excuse me, but if I'm spending thousands of dollars on a car I want to make sure I look at it and test drive it. Then once I looked at it (still didn't drive it, thankfully my boyfriend has the same Subaru I was looking at and I've driven his) I filled out a credit app. I was putting no money down or trading in but I did have a cosigner with me. He took my information then came back with one of the finance managers, who then proceeded to tell me about my credit report and how I have a lot of outstanding limits. He drew figures on a piece of paper, which I thought was rather insulting of my intelligence. I know what my credit report says and I know what banks look at hence why I brought a cosigner. My cosigner was asking questions and the finance manager was rather rude to him. Once my cosigner mentioned where he got his car loan from, the manager said that was for "first time lenders" and didn't think they could work with that, when in reality he's owned 4 different cars with payments. He didn't ask him to fill out an app or anything. My boyfriend volunteered but they ran his report and he couldn't. The manager kept saying he didn't want to waste our time, but I think he really didn't want to waste HIS time considering they never even tried to contact a bank. The same day I went to another dealership with my cosigner and got approved to lease a brand new car with no money down and no trade in and their customer service was amazing. I understand that I'm only 22 as well as a woman with no previous car loans or a long time at my job and maybe a few student loan debt but if this dealer hadn't been so judgemental and stereotypical, they would have made a sale. I love the Subaru car company and if I go to purchase one in the future I won't be returning to this dealer, and my boyfriend, having been a Subaru customer already, won't be returning either. I really hope they think about changing their attitudes after this.

We did and came home with our first Subaru! Every thing was great and our sales person Mia, made sure I did not settle for less than what I wanted! Even after I changed my mind last minute. I commend her for having patients with me. Also, her knowledge of the company blew me away. Steve was very helpful in picking a car that matched what I wanted in a vehicle and matched my budget. I felt like he was really working in my best interest and not just trying to sell me a car. I had been toying with the idea of purchasing a new car since my current Subaru has 166000 miles on it and I need a reliable car for work travel. I was a bit hesitant as I had some difficulty getting approved for a car loan several years ago. The process at Yark went very smoothly and I had no difficulty at all getting the loan. Picking a car was easy too. I already know the Subaru reputation and I just needed to tst drive a couple of different models. Hello, I just wanted to inform you of my experience at the Yark Subaru off of Central Rd. Today I went to test drive a used car. I was given the name of a "GREAT" sales consultant at your dealership by another sales consultant at Yark Chrysler. When I arrived I walked in and was greeted and told they would find Mia Knicely (the name of the "GREAT" sales consultant that I was given) so she could help us. Just a few minutes later Mia came out, then proceeded to try to help us. I explained to her my situation and asked to test drive the car I was interested in. I was accompanied by my mother because, I am 17 yrs old soon to be 18 in April. She asked us to take a seat to talk with us before the test drive. As I began to tell her about what I wanted to get out of this appointment (that I have saved money and will be putting a cash payment down plus a loan when I turn 18), what I wanted in a car, and why I was interested in that specific car, she proceeded to tell me everything negative about that car. I understand she wanted to sell me a new Subaru and not a used Volkswagen, but it went as far as her telling me that she did not think I would be able, as a younger driver, to handle this car. She told me stories of younger people buying these cars and days after purchasing them, they lost control and wrapped them around telephone polls. I told her that I believed I could handle myself to test drive a car and that I was still interested in it. Mia said, "Okay,I just wanted to inform you of these things." and took my license and insurance card to set up the test drive. About 10 minutes later, Mia and Blaine Marston came out to, what started out as, informing me that they were too busy that day to test drive a car that I wasn't going to buy that same day, to the car I want was just sold 10 minutes ago. He informed me that it was a Saturday and that day was the busiest day for selling cars but I could schedule an appointment some other day that would be better for him. He continued to say that the car I was interested in was just sold and maybe a Subaru would be more suitable. Mia commented, "Oh well no wonder I couldn't find the keys." I took my things and left. Later in the day, I called just to see if the car was truly sold. Not to my surprise, I was informed that it was still available on the lot! Not only were they disrespectful and rude but they were not truthful with me. This has been the WORST experience that I have over had. Not only will I never go back but I will DEFINITELY share this experience with my family and friends.

When approached by Scott at Yark Subaru, we were immediately comfortable with explaining to him what our car needs were and why; and he listened, remembered and helped me to reasonably consider my options, respecting my seriousness of budget commitments. Additionally, Scott made my partner and I feel at home. There was a seamless transition between him and the financial manager, Vince. Vince was direct and genuinely pro-active in obtaining the best financial decision for us, as the customer. He was efficient in time usage and charismatic and witty, as well.As first time Subaru buyers our experience could not have been better. Truly.

Terrible experienceI have plenty of cash to buy several of their cars yet they would not even let me test drive a vehicle because the manager said he did not believe I had adequate insurance when In fact I had full coverage and currant proof of that insurance. You need full insurance to even test drive their cars and I DID prove full insurance coverage. I had Safeco insurance which is a division of Liberty Mutual which he did not even hear of apparently. I called my insurance agent to have him verify on the phone but he did would not come out of the back room for 20 min to speak direct to my agent.Bottom Line.It was obvious that for some reason they did not want to sell me a car or even let me drive one.It was an extremely frustrating situation, and I do not know why they refuse to let me test drive even having salesman going with me. I am 50 years old and have a perfect driving record since age 16. I am clean person but I have medium long hair for a man and was wearing a hat and jeans so my guess is they profiled me based on my clothing and hair length thinking I had no money but the fact is I have enough money to buy several of those new cars. Better that I never do business with them ever and let others know how they treat people.

My salesman Tony was very helpful and took his time helping me choose which car was right for me. Yark Subaru is the BEST. I a senior attending UT and I was buying my first car and I didn want any co-signers or help from my parents. I wanted to purchase my car on my own. My saleswomen was MIA and I can say enough about her and the hard work she put in, it took 4 hours for me to get approved but MIA and my down payment made it happen for me to get my 2011 Subaru Legacy and I LOVE my car. MIA was friendly and helpful throughout the entire 4 hour experience, while I was in the lobby drinking water and watching movies. I went to 6 different car lots throughout the Toledo area and YARK Subaru was the best experience and once MIA handed me my keys, attached my 30-day tags, and showed me my car features few days later another YARK employee KAY called me and she reference me car insurance for my car, the same insurance she has currently, so all in all anybody that looking for a car I would tell them to talk to MIA or KAY because YARK is the BEST overallYARK SUBARU!
