The JDM version, known as the Supra RZ, was rated at 276 hp. The Twin Turbo received a new six-speed manual transmission (except 1996) or a four-speed automatic with manual shifting mode. Most A80 Supra Turbo's for the US market were delivered as semi-convertibles, with a Targa-like removable panel known as Sport Roof. A smaller number were delivered with a fixed roof (coupe).
