Descripción del vendedor

2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt Bullitt is a 1968 American action thriller film directed by Peter Yates and produced by Philip D'Antoni. The picture stars Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, and Jacqueline Bisset. The screenplay by Alan R. Trustman and Harry Kleiner was based on the 1963 novel Mute Witness. In the movie there is a nearly 11 minute chase scene in which McQueen rumbles through various streets of San Francisco in a green 1968 Mustang Fastback, and the rest is history. For consignment, a 2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt with a title verified 9,310 actual miles, a one owner car that's been garage kept. One of 5,582 produced, this New Edge style Mustang has some unique features reserved for the limited edition tribute to the 1968 chase car. This car will come with the original window sticker and 2001 brochure. ExteriorNice straight rust free steel panels with their gaps very consistent, all bathed in Dark Highland Green. This smooth design includes an aggressive hood scoop, side cove faux ducts, and nicely rounded fastback rear glass which melts into the small rear deck. Window trim is black on the car and surrounds tinted glass. On back the trio cluster of tail lights persists and dual exhaust now protrudes from the bottom of the rear roll pan. Bullitt badging as well as a simple GT on the front quarter is literally the only bling on this car save for the galloping horse on the honeycomb grille and BULLITT letter on the trunk lid. 17-inch gray Bullitt wheels are on all 4 corners and the running horse also appears on the red brake calipers. Last is a special aluminum body flush gas filler cap. Imperfections include chin scrapes and noticeable paint work on passenger's front fender, rocker molding, and front bumper cover with body filler noted on the passenger door. InteriorInside the tributes to 1968 just keep on coming. Retro styled seats with rounded tuck and roll inserts and nice smooth oversized grabber sided buckets are noted inside for the driver and passenger, all covered in charcoal gray leather. In back a 2+2 with the same pattern also in leather and in great shape. Some very minor wear noted on the entry point on the driver's seat. The center console also in charcoal gray is ergonomically rounded just like the seats and exterior design. The dash which has been beautifully molded with now very rounded over twin eyebrows all in charcoal is yet another tribute to the early versions. So are the round gauges in the dash setup, only these take on a contemporary flair. A nicely padded rally steering with galloping steed in the center has touch controls to make things just a bit more convenient. In the center of this dash are the climate controls, and an AM/FM/6 CD radio, and of course the round metal knob topped shifter. Black carpeting and black headliner are above and below, and these are also in very good condition. DrivetrainUnder the hood appears a wonderfully clean 4.6 liter SOHC V8, which is fuel injected. On the back is a Tremec TR3650 5-speed manual transmission coupled with a Ford 8.8-inch 3.27 Trac-Loc rear axle. Power disc brakes consist of 13 rotors and dual piston calipers in front, with 11.6 inch rotors in the rear. UndercarriageTypical and harmless surface rust colors parts of the rear axle, driveshaft, and suspension components. The front which has been factory lowered 3/4 inches from the standard GT, sports independent coil springs, and on back a 4 link with coil springs. The dual exhaust is original equipment and in good shape from the manifolds to polished tips. Drive-AbilityA turn of the key and you have one of the nicest sounding exhaust tones you'll hear, here at Classic Auto Mall. Off to the test loop where it demonstrated nice acceleration, good handling and on a dime stopping which is bias free no matter how hard you push the pedal in. All working and just a comfy modern interior. As expected with a car with such low mileage, everything we tested functioned as it should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. All in all, a very nicely preserved, low mileage version of the retro Bullitt. And not to beat a dead horse, but Bullitt Mustangs pass through Classic Auto Mall faster than one of Jerry Miculek's practice rounds.
