The Cadillac V series is a line of high-performance vehicles tuned by the General Motors Performance Division for the Cadillac division of General Motors. The first-ever V series model was the 2004 Cadillac CTS-V which became a successful seller and steered Cadillac in the new direction for a decade. The first V-series model of the Cadillac family was the CTS, which was built on GM Sigma Platform like the core model. Since a V8 engine was used, it required a unique engine cradle distinct from the base CTS V6. Larger anti-roll bars and larger shocks were also added. The spring rate was significantly increased. Right at front above the ground, GM LS engine V8 from the C5-generation Corvette Z06 was fitted and coupledalso from the C5 Z06with a six-speed Tremec manual transmission. THIS CTS V was owned by a collector as his every-day driver, but we are selling now for his estate. Garaged, dealer maintained, and fully operational, this car is in excellent condition. Everything works! There are rubber mats on top of carpet mats on top of the actual carpet! The 5.7L V8 together with the 6-speed manual transmission are a BLAST to drive with 400hp and 398 ft-lb of torque AND give you 23mpg highway! The Michelin tires have lots of tread remaining, and Ive had this car inspected: its in great shape mechanically and cosmetically.
