The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class is a compact luxury SUV that slots below the three-row GLE-Class and above the subcompact GLA-Class. Rear-wheel drive comes standard and all-wheel drive is available. For 2019, the GLC-Class adds a new coupe-like SUV body style called the GLC-Class Coupe, which rivals the BMW X4 and the upcoming Audi Q4. The EPA hasn t released fuel economy ratings for the 2019 GLC-Class, but the 2018 model was rated at 22/27 mpg for the rear-drive GLC300 and 21/28 mpg with all-wheel drive. Opting for the GLC300d 4Matic drops those figures to 28/36 mpg. Standard features include a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, two USB ports, 14-way power-adjustable front seats, and 18-inch wheels. Available features include leather upholstery, a 13-speaker Burmester surround-sound audio system, a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, a panoramic sunroof, and 19-inch wheels. The 2019 GLC-Class hasn t been crash tested by the NHTSA but the IIHS gave the SUV the Top Safety Pick+ award after it received the highest rating of Good in all five crash tests and the headlights test (Superior rating for the optional LED units).
