We just bought a New truck this last weekend and can't say enough good about everyone at this dealership. The best was the price they gave us my husband was very happy. The sales man was very good with helping us set a few of the things up and going over the others. Will look here when i get ready to trade my car. Did not mark the quality of repairs as we have not used them but if it is like all the areas we were with i would think they are good also.

I purchased my car at Baum's and have all service done on it there. I had service done on it on Monday then on Wednesday I hit a very large deer. Baum's was the only place that I wanted to do the repairs. I have never had a bad experience there. Everyone is kind and knowledgeable.

Russell was our salesman and we were very satisfied with his patience. He was very accommodating and understanding with us. Our time was limited when we went to pick up the truck and he expedited the process so I (the wife) could leave and my husband stayed to finish the paperwork to bring the truck home.

I am 70 years old and this is absolutely the best dealership I have ever dealt with!! They always take the time to find out what the problem is, explain it to you & fix it the right the first time. The atmosphere is more that of a family than a business. I believe that this all starts at the top with Scott Baum. He is a class person and this is a class dealership. You can not go wrong whether looking for a new car, a used car or service - Baum will take the time & treat you right!!

We drove 3.5 hours from out of state to get a car. Even though it was raining, all sales people were great......that being said, the finance department (one person). Is what took the most time. Our credit is great, we already had funding, but we decided to see if they could get us a better rate, which they did. However, the finance person visually acted as if w were wasting his time. My wife and two kids had been waiting for 2 hours and needed to go get lunch. Of course when they left he said he was ready. So my wife came back with food and thw guy stopped paperwork to glare at her. She had to reply to his look under breath and one he noticed we knew he was being rude he perked right up. Either way we got our vehicle for a great price and even eryone else at the dealer was great.

Readying for a long driving trip so needed tires rotated and oil changed. Only thing I question is why we had to pay for the oil change this time. I thought we had it with our 'Elite' program. Only one oil change had been used on this program back in Nov 2015. Great that we don't have to make appointments to get the work like this done.

When the technicians take the wheel covers off to rotate the tires, I'd prefer they not lay them face down on the concrete. I watched the technician do this and when he pulled the air hose around to take off the other tires, it dragged the cover across the floor scratching the face of the cover. More attention to detail.

My touch screen went out on November 16th. I called Baum on the 17th and took my car there on the 18th. Corey and the guys in the service department were all very nice. They told me I needed a new radio and GM would be paying for it but they did not know when it would be in. I was first told sometime in December. I called back two weeks later and was told sometime in December. I called back a couple weeks later and was told January 29th. After that call I cancel my XM radio that was coming due for repayment and called back to Baum I think that is where Chad got involved. At that point I took my car back to Baum and started driving some very nice new vechicles (Thank you very much). After numerous trips to Clinton (which is 50 plus miles from my house) because the new cars I was driving kept getting sold the new radio arrived and was installed. I took the car home and the next day the radio would not turn off or up or down. I called Corey and took my car back which by the time I got there it was working again. Chad took the car and checked it out ans showed me how I might have to reset it sometimes. I am still not to thrilled with GM but I have no complaints about Baum or any of your employees everyone was very nice and went out of their way to help me.

Which one? I ran over a curb last fall and it was great to be able to call the towing service. The weather was terrible and the driver dropped me off at home and I had a loaner that I could drive to work each day until my car was finished.

The initial problem was fixed promptly ( they found a screw in the side of a tire - not fixable, but the new tire was acquired and installed the next day) but noticed that an oil change was imminent. I had planned to do that this week, but thanks to the alertness of Baum' staff, it was done when they fixed the tire. That saved me a lot of time in a very busy week, and I'm very grateful.

While it took several visits & 1 negative survey, the truck is now fixed. Baum went above and beyond on the last visit once truck was fixed, they test drove several times & it was full of fuel when it was returned. All at no charge to us as we had already spent $2000. This is the typical service we receive from Baum, we just had a rough time getting here, but we are completely satisfied at this point in time. Special thanks to Corey & his service team.

I was to exchange a Trax which I had been driving for my Malibu the next day . I knew the Malibu probably needed an oil change even though it had not been driven for 3 months . I asked Becky for her advice and she agreed it needed a change. She suggested that they change it then and it would be ready for me the next day when I was to return the Trax. Very thoughtful of her and I really appreciated the helpfulness it. I love doing business at Baum's . I can always trust them with their suggestions and recommendations . Also, I know they care about their customers and appreciate their offer of classes to us to learn the new features of the new cars. Technology is overwhelming to some of us but we can always count on them to help.

I originally went in for an oil change and tire rotation and to set up an appointment to find out why my check engine light was on. It was 2-2:30 in the afternoon so I had no expectations on getting it in that day. After the oil change, etc., they drove my car and me across the street to the dealership, got me set up with a service manager. He apologized upfront because they weren't going to be able to get my car right away, which I completely understood and was fine with. They diagnosed the problem, got a list of parts on hand and what needed to be ordered, and gave me best and worst case scenarios on price, and set up a tentative appointment to get my car fixed. Admittedly, I had tried to get my car into a Chevy dealership in Bloomington where I live. Over the phone, the response I received was that 2-2:30 was too late in the afternoon to be bringing my car in to be diagnosed. The service I have received in the past and present from Baum's, on the other hand, has been excellent! I have, and will continue to recommend Baum Chevrolet Buick to anyone looking for a quality vehicle backed by a great service department!

had a left rear sensor say tire was low .I put some air it the sensor light didn't go off put some air in and still had the same thing bought it in and found that the tire sensor wasn't relearned when tires were rotated. might remind the guys to do this.

Very friendly staff and very quick service/response time. We did have a mixup at the cashier's desk (only charged $86 and then got a call that she mischarged us and needed our CC again to place $100 more on our CC). We also noticed that a battery car charger was left in our backseat. Other than that, I know I will be returning to buy another vehicle from you in the future. We are looking to buy another car in the next few years that has third row seating and heated seats :)

I took my car to the collision shop to be fixed. I asked them if they could fix the "ding" in my door (somebody got me sometime and it needed to be popped out & a paint touchup)the gentleman told me he didn't think they could do that but would have them do something. They did not get the "ding" out - put a little paint on it and that's all. I was completely satisfied with their other work on my bumper but the "ding" was not done to my satisfaction.

So I called to tell them what had happened and that since I had purchased several cars in the past, I was really shocked that you did not seem to want our business!! The cost of repairs to our Trailblazer were to be quite costly. They were very up-front and explained how it was not a safety concern at this time. However given the age and high mileage, I decided to check on getting another vehicle. The sales staff has and is very helpful in looking for another vehicle. They gave us a very nice car to drive while they search for the vehicle for us.

You have these cards that allow us to accumulate points based on our purchases. When I came to retrieve my vehicle & pay, I presented Jody Chambers' card & was told that it had expired in April. We didn't think the card ever expired & we've both presented the same card since April, when we visited your oil change facility & have never been told that the card had expired. What's up with that?

I called Baum on a Thursday to have tires put on my car. They were delivered to the dealership, & installed on my car on Friday. I was very happy with how easy it was to get the tires right away. And it didn't take more than an hour to get them put on.

The lady who tells you how much services cost, etc. at the front desk is not your cheerful person; she's point-blank about everything, so that you don't feel very welcome to come there. But the mechanics changed that perception to "excellent" by their helpfulness, efficient work, and completeness of the services needed, and their good attitudes.

I have had my vehicles taken care of at Baum's since I came back from Portland Oregon in 2009. i bought a great used car and it was in great shape. Everyone we have dealt with at Baum Chevrolet Buick has been knowledgeable and very professional. We had some body repairs done and the employee was able to get the repairs done in a manner that would not hurt the integrity of the body. He convinced the insurance adjuster that there was a better way to repair the damage and it cost less.

Prior to my current car I had a 2006? Malibu Max bought brand new.. I considered buying a VW this time but my family and I have always been loyal chevy people (they have never bought anything but a chevy pickups)... I am so glad I bought a Chevy Cruze- and went thru Baum... I recently got into an accident and Baum was there 100% customer service, and perfect work done to repair! I will buy another vehicle there just because of the customer service!!!!

I came to the service department because of a recall on my 2005 Chevy Impala. They did a great job. I needed an oil change so they took my car over to the lube center for me. That was very nice because I didn't have to get in my car in the cold weather and take it myself. Thanks Baum for your excellent service to your customers. Thanks for the excellent service on my Oil and Filter change.The owners manual required 6.3 quarts of oil for change. The service manager checked and it required 5.0 quarts of oil for the 2.0 Liter Tubro Engine. The Owners Manual was wrong. Good Job. Marvin and Carol Ridgeway

Body shop front office staff excellent. Chuck runs a class oper. Competent when estimating, courteous, and delivers on timing that he promises. Very good loan car. Was not mired in paper work as we sometimes are. He should be considered for a compensation increase. Much of the success of this oper. is due to this outstanding mgr. I really like the service I get. The only problem I have is that now my vehicle has to go all the way to Clinton for service. When we purchased our vehicles it was with the under standing that there would be full service in Famer City and this is no longer the case. I worry about what will happen when the employees who are now at Farmer City retire.

Had oil change, found oil seal leak, made plans to take car back to fix it. Did seem confused at times at oil lube. Decided to do air filter, then the forgot to do it, had to wait while they did do it. However,they were very busy, lots of phone calls and customers. Did have plenty of workers, just a bit unfocused at times. Service dept. was great to wotk with. Enjoyed visiting with the owner.

I had several things repaired on my van, and everything seems to be done very well. Given the amount of work (+$700), I am disappointed to have been charged a $45 diagnosis charge for a switch I opted to not replace, hence 4/5 rating.As GM is included on this, I will express my disappointment with the quality / service life of the traction control disable switch. I bought my 2010 Express van new and have pushed the button less than 10 times in its life just to see if it did anything. If it was a $5 switch, I probably would not have minded replacing it with its ridiculous service life, but for +$100, this seems like a prime candidate for a "good will" repair.btw, the van was brought in for service to repair an intermittant HVAC issue that was diagnosised as a wire melting out of its connector at the fuse block. This seems like an unusual and embrassing failure to have on a four year old vehicle.

Service was fast despite a busy day with others also waiting for oil changes. The one negative would be the form you fill out when you first enter the Quick Lube is a bit misleading in that it simply states something to the effect of, "If asked, would you request a tire rotation.." I checked the box, but was never asked about a tire rotation. The technician simply performed the tire rotation. Not a huge issue, but would like confirmation that it is being done prior to paying so it is not an unexpected charge.

I was informed that there were two sources of a revolving "squeak" and that one of the squeaks was remedied - for $500. I was disappointed as I drove away from the dealership and ever since - to realize the only squeak I had heard prior to taking my car in was still quite prominent! after spending over $3000.00 for a warranty,i have to pay for recharge of my ac,to me if a charge is needed it has a leak.not happy about this.now check engine light is on will probably have to pay for sensors..

Had great experience buying Aveo so we came back to buy our Cruze! Todd worked with us beautifully both times! I know if I have problems or questions, Todd is there for us! I stopped by the Baum's Quick Lube to have a headlamp replaced. I was hit with sticker shock when I was told that it would be in excess of $31. I kind of thought that was a bit much for taking 5 minutes to change a lightbulb.Otherwise I really like Baum. I think Scott Baum is great and he has a lot of good people working for him.

After LOF & checking the tires for rotation & replacing the windshield wipers, we wanted to have the car washed upon getting the car washed one of the attendants at Baum's noticed the antennae was missing he noticed it because they usually take them off so they don't get broken. It was replaced at no charge, thank you. WRH

I assume this was to Oil leak (actually transmission leak) on my Colbalt. Chad provided pictures so I knew it was a new leak vice an old leak from a previous accident with rocks on the road. I really liked this. Repairs made with recommendation to service tranny which I also fully agreed with since they had to open it up anyway.

I contacted the dealership via email and was called back by Laci Miller to answer questions I had concerning the vehicle and whether it was still in stock, since I live out of town. Laci confirmed it was in stock at the price advertised on cars.com. I set up an appt. to view the vehicle, hoping it was a good as advertised. I was not disappointed. The sale person, Alllison, was extremely helpful and answered my questions and demonstrated the features. The only thing I found disappointing is after we signed all paperwork with Allison we had to wait well over and hour to get in a see the actual person to write up the bill of sale.

Every employee I spoke with was extremely friendly and the experience was very timely. The vehicles to choose from was very good. This is the second time we have done business with Baum Chevrolet and by this time we consider them as family-oriented business. Our purchase began online one afternoon and the next day we went to the dealership and our purchase was complete in a couple hours. The dealership worked with my husband and I to obtain a deal that benefit us as well as the dealership. We did not have to sit in a small, enclosed room by ourselves while our deal was being completed. For a community on the smaller side, you will be surprised at all Baum has to offer. Along with a good selection of new and used cars, they also repair, sell tires, change the oil. and wash and detail all vehicles. The only service we haven't used at this dealership is the purchase of new tires. We've had very good experiences with every service they offer. Seven years ago we bought a used car and tonight we drove home a new car! From start to finish, my husband told me, "They (Baum) almost make it too easy to buy a car." Thanks for making the whole experience so easy. It's a always a pleasure doing business with you all! Thank you Scott, Todd, Mark, Kraig, Becky and Kristin! You will be seeing us again!

I was put in charge of finding a 2012 Chevy Equniox for my mother--she has reached the point where she can't get in and out of a car easily. Took quite a bit of doing and ended up having to change "wish" list since it was impossible to find exactly what she wanted. Once search was narrowed down to Silver LTZ we were told by Baum that they could get one for her on Tuesday. (The transaction started on the internet and continued on the internet and phone.) An hour before the car was to be picked up we received a call and e-mail to please call as soon as possible--they didn't have it. Although the night before when I asked if the car was in and everything was ready to go I was told it was (Lie #1). The story was that the other dealer dropped the ball--believable since we knew the other dealership but no matter--they lied that the car was already in. Mom & my sister (who was going to help out at the dealer--learning the car's features) was enroute but I was able to get her stopped before getting all the way there (<1 hour drive). They promised they had already lined up another car and would have it no later than Thursday. I told them we weren't interested but I was promised that there wouldn't be a hitch with the next transaction. So, crazy me, I agreed and we set a Friday morning transaction appointment. Of course, this meant changing several things on my mom's and my sister's calendars. I told Laci that if I didn't hear from her on Thursday night with a confirmation that the car was on their lot and see a picture the deal would be off. Spoke with Laci Thursday night, "The car is here and being cleaned up." She didn't send a photo. Shame on me for not insisting on a photo.Mom and my sister arrive in Clinton at the appointment time (10:30). Guess what--no car! and no one called or e-mailed!!!! Their reasoning--the driver had picked up the wrong car the previous day and they had sent someone first thing that morning to go get the Silver Equinox which they had expected to be there in time and we wouldn't be any the wiser. By this time my mother was just wanting to get this deal over with and said she would wait awhile. (I would have left--had located a few other silver Equinox's at other dealers.)Baum's sent them to lunch and picked up the tab. By 11:45 I had not heard from anyone so I sent Laci an e-mail: Everything going o.k.? Mom should be out of there by now. Her response everything is just fine, your mom and sister are having lunch. Well, I knew something was wrong then. So, I called my mom and all she said was the car isn't here yet. There was no need to interrupt her lunch so I e-mailed Laci again--what's going on? She waited to reply until she could say mom was back working with the paperwork. Not one peep about the facts of the transaction. Mom has the car, but it took 2 trips, countless calls and e-mails and almost 7 hours at the dealership on Friday. All because they lied and didn't have it together. This would have been inexcusable service in the best of situations but my mother is older and my sister hasn't been feeling well, which they were aware of. I made it very clear in my e-mails and on the phone that once they arrived everything needed to be ready and organized so they wouldn't have to wait. "We promise--it won't take more than 1.5 hours, 2 at the max."NEVER will we deal with Baum's again and we will be sure to broadcast their way of doing business.Positives: Mom is older and can get nervous with all the complicated computer stuff on a car and they were patient and kind with her when demo'ing everything. They bought lunch.
