To reset the throttle body on a 2015 3.6 liter Dodge, start by disconnecting the battery cables for about five minutes, then reconnect them. Place the vehicle on a level surface, shift into park, and turn the ignition key to the "on" position—do not start the engine. Press the gas pedal all the way to the floor slowly and steadily, and repeat this process two more times, making a total of three times. Afterward, turn the key to the "off" position, start the engine, and let it run for another minute. Then, shift into drive and operate the vehicle for at least 10 miles to recalibrate the throttle body. Most modern vehicles are equipped with an electronic throttle body (ETB) managed by the car's main computer. Resetting the ETB can help fix a rough idle and is often required after the battery has been disconnected for maintenance.
