The 2001 Ford F-150 does not have any grease fittings on the vehicle. The ball joints and U joints in your truck are pre-lubricated from the factory and do not need additional grease. However, if the grease wears out over time, you can apply lubricant directly to these parts to minimize wear and tear. Grease fittings used to be common on older trucks and farm equipment that required regular greasing as part of maintenance. As trucks have become more mainstream, they are now easier to maintain without the need for grease fittings.

The 2001 Ford F-150 is not equipped with any grease or lube points. Instead, it features a Zerk fitting, also called a grease fitting, that contains a small ball bearing held in place by a spring. When pressure from a grease gun is applied, it causes the ball to move and allows lubricant to flow through a passage.
