Not many problems have been reported with the 2011 Ford Raptor, but the main issue that people mention is the poor fuel economy of the 6.2L version. The 6.2L engine guzzles a significant amount of fuel, especially when driven in a sporty manner, which can cause the vehicle to fall short of the EPA's original fuel efficiency estimates. Another frequently discussed problem is the need to replace the off-road shocks, as they are more costly and require occasional maintenance compared to regular shocks.

I got a 2011 Raptor back in 2016 with 19,000 miles on it. Let me tell you, if you're looking for great fuel efficiency, the Raptor isn't the vehicle for you. This is a high-performance truck with a wide body and upgraded suspension. It's got all the comfy features of other F-150 trucks but with a powerful engine. I wouldn't think twice about getting another one – mine has 105,000 miles and no issues. Just make sure you keep up with regular maintenance and follow the recommended schedule.

The main concern with fuel-thirsty raptors is their low gas efficiency, but owners also commonly report problems with starting the engine and disappointing power output.
