The TPMS on your 2009 Kia Rio is designed to alert you when one or more tires are low on air, which can cause tires to wear out early, potentially fail, and create dangerous driving conditions. Resetting the TPMS is a quick process. To begin, turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the car. Locate the "TPMS Reset" button under the lower left part of the dashboard and press it until the tire pressure light blinks three times, then release the button. After starting the vehicle, allow at least 20 minutes for the sensors to update. You have now finished the reset procedure, and the TPMS has been successfully recalibrated.
I also have a 2009 Kia Rio. There isn't a button located under the front left side of the steering column.
My 2009 Kia Rio does not have a button.
