To reset the immobilizer - the security system - on your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, start by ensuring you have the correct authorized key and have replaced any weak batteries in the key FOB. This is important to ensure proper detection remotely. Next, open the driver's side door and enter your Cherokee. Close all other doors but leave the driver's side door open for now. Press the power door-lock switch on the keyless entry FOB. Once done, close the driver's side door and keep all doors closed for at least 16 seconds. Watch the security light on the dashboard in front of you. When the light stops its rapid blinking and switches to a slower, steady blink, you will know that the system has been successfully reset and armed again.

To reinitialize the security system on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you can reset it by using the key to unlock the driver's side door, then locking it, and finally unlocking it once more. This should clear the system.
