To replace the brakes on your 2016 Ford Explorer, refer to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_twGXMWNOQ Keeping your brakes in top condition is crucial. Faulty brakes can lead to trouble, such as unsafe stops caused by loose bearings, potential accidents due to brake lockups, and screeching noises from low brake fluid levels. It's important to address issues like worn brake pads affecting your vehicle's ability to stop. Preventing premature brake wear is a key concern. Over time, brake components will age and require replacement. Remember to change the brake pads and shoes every 50,000 miles, the brake rotors every 60,000 miles, and the brake fluid every 20,000 to 45,000 miles.

To replace the brakes on a Ford Explorer, start by lifting and securing the vehicle with jack stands. Take off the front wheels. Open the bleeder valve. Push the brake caliper piston back into place to spread apart the brake pads. Unbolt and remove the caliper. Take out the old brake pads and put in the new ones. Apply anti-squeal on the new pads. Reattach the caliper over the brake pads, secure with the bolts, and tighten. Finally, put the wheels back on and lower the vehicle.

What occurs when you remove the caliper bracket to change the rotor on a 2016 Ford Explorer, and then reinstall the bracket, install new brakes, only to find that there is no space for movement and the brakes do not properly fit?
