According to complaints from 2007 Chevy Cruze owners, they are experiencing problems with their USB port and AUX input losing power. This results in connected devices not charging or functioning properly. The issue seems to stem from the AUX/USB cable becoming disconnected from the PDIM (Personal Device Interface Module) in the vehicle. The PDIM is responsible for controlling the radio and audio through the steering wheel controls. If the Cruze has rear deck speakers, the problem could be due to faulty connections in the radio head unit. In this case, the head unit should be removed to check for any wiring issues or USB port connections that need fixing or replacing. The replacement of the port typically costs between $20 and $60 for parts and labor in a Chevy Cruze.

USB ports are infamous for being delicate, so the metal piece inside the port could be bent or broken, or there might be a faulty wire causing the issue.
