Heated steering wheels are a relatively new luxury, and they truly live up to the hype. I personally enjoy this feature a lot, so I'm glad that Ford has made it easily accessible in the modern versions of the Escape. To activate or deactivate the steering wheel heat, you can go to the "climate" section on your head unit touchscreen and then select "menu". Look for a small steering wheel icon in the right column and press it. In some older Escape models, there may be a physical button on the steering wheel itself for this feature. The indicator to look for is a steering wheel icon with three wavy lines in the upper right corner. If you can't find this icon in the menu or on your steering wheel, then it's likely that your vehicle is not equipped with this feature.
Where exactly is the left side?
I located it! In my 2020 Escape Titanium, you can find the steering wheel heat control on the heating and air conditioning panel. The on/off switch is at the bottom right, indicated by a steering wheel icon with heat waves.
Thanks, yep, it's in the same spot on my 2021 Escape SEL. It's located on the heat/AC panel on the right side, featuring the steering wheel icon with heat "waves.
To activate the heated steering wheel feature in the Ford Escape, just press the small steering wheel icon located on the left side of the steering wheel.
