The cargo capacity of the 2003 Chevrolet Impala is 18.6 cubic feet. The larger number represents the space when the seats are folded down, while the smaller number is when the seats are up. There is a small opening in the vehicle's floor that you can lift up. Under this panel, there is a compartment where you can fold the seats down. To accomplish this, locate the lever on the side of the seats and pull it. This will allow you to lower the seats into the compartments and secure them in place. You will hear a clicking sound when the seats are locked. To raise the seats back up, simply reverse the process, which should only take a minute or two to complete.
