To service the power steering system of a 2009 Honda Accord, you should use Dexron III power steering fluid. Start by finding the clear plastic power steering fluid container located under the hood near the window. Use a pump to completely remove all the old fluid from the container. When the fluid level is low, turn the steering wheel all the way from one side to the other to drain the remaining fluid. Once the container is empty, refill it with new fluid up to the full line, making sure not to overfill. It may take some time for the steering wheel to adjust, so drive the car for around 20 minutes to ensure everything is working properly.
For the 2009 Honda Accord, it is best to use Honda's own brand of power steering fluid for optimal performance.
