Taking out the fuel injector rail from the Ford F-150's 4.6L model is a straightforward task, though it may require some time and attention. It's important not to rush through the process as there is a risk of damaging the components. Initially, you will have to undo the two 8mm hex bolts securing the fuel rail. Afterward, it's essential to thoroughly clean the area, ideally using an electrical component cleaner. Ensuring a clean environment is crucial before proceeding to detach the injector clips to prevent introducing grease into the system. When loosening each injector (a gentle wiggle can be helpful), they should lift out smoothly. Although breaking the seal can be challenging, it's vital not to harm it – therefore, take your time and proceed with caution without hurrying.

To remove the fuel rail on the right-hand side, start by taking out two 8mm bolts. Disconnect four connectors and use compressed air to clean any dirt around the injector base. Lift the rail up, making sure to wiggle it back and forth as you do so - the injectors will be attached to the rail. Use a flat screwdriver to carefully remove the clips holding the injectors in place. When pulling the injectors, make sure to rotate and wiggle them out from the rail. Apply some fuel on the new o-rings before sliding them back into the rail and securing them with the clips. Repeat this process for the remaining injectors. Align the rail with the injectors and carefully push it into place until it snaps into its final position. Finally, secure the rail with the bolts. Don't forget to remove the air inlet on the left side first.
