For the 2001 GMC Sierra 1500, the recommended tire pressure is 35 psi, the tire size is p235/75r16, and the wheel size is 16 inches. Resetting the TPMS after getting new tires is not too difficult. Firstly, ensure the vehicle is parked on level ground. Check the tire pressure of each tire to ensure it matches the recommended psi. The appropriate pressure should be indicated on the side of the tire. Once this is done, enter the car, power it on without starting the engine. There is a button to the right of the steering wheel usually labeled TPMS or something similar. Press and hold this button until it starts blinking. After it blinks, wait for around 20 minutes for it to recalibrate. When the blinking stops, turn off the car, then turn it back on to verify that the reset was successful.
