Let's start by discussing how the anti-theft system in the 2007 Nissan Altima operates. When the ignition switch is turned off, it is considered the initial position. If you open the door or trunk, the vehicle security system is disarmed, presuming the owner is nearby. In this disarmed state, the security indicator light flashes every two to four seconds. When you lock all the doors and trunk, the system enters a pre-armed state after receiving a signal from the onboard computer. The security indicator then remains lit for 30 seconds before transitioning to the armed mode. To deactivate the system, you can unlock the doors with the key or key FOB, or turn the ignition to the ON or ACC position. To verify if the system is armed, triggering the alarm to sound and the headlights to flash for about 50 seconds, you can open the trunk or a door while the system is armed, or disconnect and reconnect the battery without cancelling the armed state. For a full system reset, insert the intelligent key in the ignition, turn it to the ACC position for approximately 10 minutes, switch it off, and then start the car.
