In your 2014 Ford F-150, the cabin air filter can be found behind the glove box. It's important to keep this filter clean as it filters the air entering the vehicle through the A/C system. Ford recommends replacing the filter every 10,000 miles under extreme conditions or every 15,000 - 30,000 miles in normal conditions. To reach the filter, you'll need to lower the glove box and locate the filter cover with a honeycomb pattern. You might have to remove the pocket above the glove box, held in by two 8mm bolts. Once you have access, unclip the filter cover and pull out the filter. Installing the new filter simply involves reversing these steps.
