The third clutch transmission fluid pressure switch in a Honda Pilot can be found on the transmission's side. This switch monitors transmission pressures and sends that information to the car's computer. The computer uses this data to determine when to shift gears. When you accelerate, hydraulic fluid is pushed through the transmission, resulting in higher pressure as you speed up. If the switch malfunctions, the check engine light may illuminate, you may notice abnormal shifting, and the car may have trouble going into gear. To remove the sensor from the transmission, you will need a 7/16-inch wrench. Disconnect the electrical connector and use the wrench to turn it counterclockwise until it loosens. Then, you can easily remove it by hand.
