The 2013-2014 Honda Accord CVT does not come with a dipstick for the transmission. Instead, there is a fill cap on top of the CVT transmission used to add CVT fluid. To check the fluid level, there is a Check bolt located lower down on the transmission, similar to checking fluid in a manual transmission. When adding transmission fluid to your Accord, start by removing the filler cap. Only use Honda HCF-2 CVT Fluid for refilling. The CVT fluid capacity is 3.5 liters (3.7 U.S. quarts) during a change. After refilling, install the filler cap, ensuring that the handle is perpendicular to you if you are standing directly in front of the car.

Based on my research from Hayes manuals of 2013 to 2016, the automatic CVT transmission capacity for a 4-cylinder Accord is 3.9 quarts or 3.7 liters, while the non-CVT automatic transmission holds 3.3 quarts or 3.1 liters. For the manual 4-cylinder, it requires 2.0 quarts or 1.9 liters of transmission fluid. In the case of the 6-cylinder Accord, the automatic transmission needs 3.3 quarts or 3.1 liters, and the manual transmission requires 2.1 quarts or 2.1 liters.

Everyone is discussing the 4-quart speculation, but the real question is, what is the precise oil capacity required for the transmission? I'm sure it's not 4 quarts from empty. I had a leak in my transmission pan, and oil was still dripping out a week later, indicating it's not just 4 quarts. The 3.7 quarts mentioned is for a change, not the full capacity. So, what is the actual capacity of the transmission, possibly 8 quarts?
