The 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD comes with a group size 34 battery which indicates its size and terminal type. This type of battery measures 10.25 inches long, 6.8125 inches wide, and 7.875 inches tall with top post terminals. You can find the Liberty's battery situated on the driver's side in the engine compartment, positioned between the brake fluid reservoir and engine compartment fuse box. To remove the battery, you'll need a 10-millimeter socket and ratchet. Start by disconnecting the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal using the socket. There is a hold-down bracket secured at the back of the battery with a single 10-millimeter bolt. Once you remove this bolt, you can easily lift the battery out vertically.
