In 2015, the Hyundai Azera comes with a 124R group size battery that measures 10 1/4 inches long, 6 7/8 inches wide, and 8 3/8 inches tall. It weighs about 40 pounds and has a top mount terminal post. You can find the battery on the front driver's side of the engine compartment. To remove the battery, you will need a 10-millimeter socket and a ratchet to loosen the nuts on the battery cables. Start by removing the negative cable first to avoid any accidental metal contact that could short out the electrical system if the positive terminal is removed first. Once the negative cable is off, remove the positive cable, then loosen the battery hold-down at the base before taking out the battery from the car.
