I brought my car to Windward Ford in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii for a diagnosis, but they couldn't figure out the issue and charged me $219. Later, an Auto Repair shop diagnosed it quickly for free and suggested going back to the dealer for repairs. Windward Ford wanted to charge me another $219 for a new diagnosis, so I declined and decided not to leave my car with them overnight. Honolulu Ford also tried to charge me $219 for a diagnosis, even though I already had the diagnostic code. Despite being open to buying a new Ford, I prefer repairing my 2015 Ford Explorer Limited. My nephew suggested a fair Ford dealership in Honolulu, but I wonder if an Auto Repair shop can also fix the issue apart from a dealership. Thank you.
