The 2012 Ford Fusion comes with a coolant temperature sensor that you can locate by either checking underneath your car or lifting the hood. To find it, start by going to the front of the engine and opening the hood, securing it with the prop arm on the passenger side. Look towards the center of the cylinder head in the engine bay to spot the coolant temperature sensor positioned between the ignition coils. If the sensor is not working properly, it will require replacement, which can cost anywhere from $25 to $50 for just the parts.
